The sun is finally setting in the city of Lagos and darkness is on it’s way… Here in Ade’s guest house, All the Elites gather around having an argument whether to allow Eve join their group or not… Felicia who’s among the arguers vehemently disagrees about Eve joining their group.

Felicia ➡ I don’t know what’s come over all of you… Let’s not forget who Eve is… She’s the daughter of our sworn enemy and nemesis, Julius.. Leader of the Executioners.. The very man that has killed a lot of our kind and some of you are saying we should allow his daughter to join us… God forbid.

Joshua ➡ I agree with Felicia… We cannot let the enemy join us.

Kabir ➡ Hold on… Let’s not forget.. She’s not an executioner.. She’s not aware of her father’s dubious work.. Let’s think for a second.. If she were an Executioner.. She would have exposed our hideout the day she came.

Ali ➡ That’s because her father hasn’t brainwashed her… Once her father shows her his work… She won’t hesitate to join him… We all know women have small brains.

Felicia seethed in jealousy as she heard this.. She wasn’t pleased that Ade was being paired up with Eve.. She gave a long hiss to show her displeasure… In that moment, Rollins stands up abruptly and looks straight at the door of the room, his sudden movement alerts the others and ask him what’s wrong.

Kabir ➡ What is it?… You look like you’ve seen a ghost.

Rollins ➡ I just sensed a threat!

Mary ➡ Is it an Executioner?

Eze ➡ Wait o.. It’s not an Executioner… It’s Ade and Eve… They’re heading this way.

Rollins ➡ I’m telling you.. I’m sensing a high level threat…Whoever that owns this presences is definitely dangerous..

Iwonbi ➡ Well, let’s just wait and see..

Moments later, Both Ade and Eve enter the room, joining the other Elites… Ade exchanges pleasantries with the others, while Eve stands shyly looking at everyone..

Eze ➡ Ade…. You finally came through.

Ade ➡ Yeah… Everyone this is Eve… Julius’s daughter..

Eve ➡ Hi 👋. It’s nice to meet you all..

Iwonbi ➡ Nice to see you Eve… You’re welcome.

Apart from Iwonbi, All the other Elites stare at her ominously with cold gazes… Felicia most especially hisses at her face and then confronts Ade privately.

Felicia ➡ Ade, Where’s your shirt?

Ade ➡ It got spoilt..
.

Felicia ➡ Spoilt? Really? Just like that and… Hold on… What’s that l¡pstick 💋 stain doing on your cheek?

Ade ➡ It’s a long story…

Felicia ➡ You pr-ck… You slept with this b-tch!?

Feeling guilty and ashamed, Ade tries to get back in Felicia’s good graces but Felicia ignores and moves away from him… After that, Iwonbi calls for everyone’s attention and begins to talk to Eve.

Iwonbi ➡ Alright Everyone… Keep quiet…. Eve.. Do you know who we are?
.

Eve ➡ No.. But I can tell you’re all like Ade and his friends.. But I’ve also seen your faces in my father’s files.. Who are you people?
.

Iwonbi ➡ Well, Eve… We’re humans but we have some special abilities that distinguish us from all average humans… We call ourselves Elites.
.

Eve ➡ That’s a nice name.. So what are your abilities?
.

Upon hearing that Iwonbi takes his time and briefly tells Eve about everyone in the room about their powers.. Eve is astonished as she hears every thing about everyone in the room.

Eve ➡ My God!.. I can’t believe such people exist.. It seems I’ve come to the right place..

Iwonbi ➡ What are you talking about?

Eve ➡ I too have these strange gifts.. I can’t control them yet.

Ali ➡ What are you saying?

Mary ➡ Are you claiming to be an Elite?

Eve ➡ Yes…
.

After Eve says that Everyone in the room bursts out laughing except Ade.. Eve feeling embarrassed, begins to step back slowly, In that moment, Felicia puts her foot intently on the way and make Eve fall backwards, but to everyone’s surprise.. She back fl¡ps and sticks to the wall like a lizard, as soon as her hands touches the wall, her skin turns into the color of the paint on the wall…
Everyone keep quiet after that, Looking at the wonder before them especially Felicia who couldn’t believe her eyes.

Felicia ➡ What in God’s name is going on?… What is this?

Rollins ➡ Oh it’s her.. That threatening presence I felt earlier… It’s coming from her.

As soon as she hears that, Eve gets off the wall and returns herself back to normal.. Then asks why her father was being addressed as an enemy.

Eve ➡ Why are you calling my father your enemy? Has he done something to you?

Gabriel ➡ Sure.. Lots of things… Your father is a psychopath..

Eve ➡ Excuse me?

Kaitlyn ➡ that’s right… He’s a murderer and a butcher of our kind… And unfortunately for you.. You’re his daughter.

Joshua ➡ Which means.. We can do as we please with you and nobody can save you.

Iwonbi ➡ Alright.. That’s enough.. Eve… There is something you don’t know about your father….. Your father is a leader of a secret org-nization called the *Executioners*… In their demented beliefs, they think we the Elites are the agents of the devil and is responsible for the way the world is in right now.. Your father and his followers have killed a lot of our kind, so in order to avoid a war… We’ve decided to hide… Your father had once tried to kill Ade and his friends but he failed.. We’ve been trying to find a say to stop him and you’re the one who’s going to help us.

Eve ➡ This can’t be.. My father isn’t..

Eze ➡ It is true.. He even sent an assassin to hunt us down..
.

Moses ➡ That’s not even the problem… Now that you’re one of us.. You too are in danger.

Felicia ➡ She’s not one of us.. Not yet.

Everyone listens as Eve tells how her powers manifested and the incident in the garden.. Ace listens attentively taking down notes 📒… As soon as Eve is done.. Ace thinks for a while and then clicks his fingers..

Ace ➡ That’s fascinating.. Toads are quite poisons.. You should have been dead but you’re not and then a snake bit you, and you didn’t die.

Ace ➡ Yes… Her abilities are exactly equal to that of reptiles.. So In order words,.. She’s a human reptile.

At the mention of that, Felicia laughs cynically and claps her hands.. Everyone looks at her direction wondering why she’s acting this way.

Felicia ➡ Human Reptile? How ironic…. But it does make sense though… Our enemy’s daughter is named Eve and she has the ability to that of the reptiles.. No wonder Rollins said he sensed a threat.

Chioma ➡ What are you talking about?

Felicia ➡ Isn’t it obvious.. Eve here is a walking time bomb.. She can’t be trusted.

Iwonbi ➡ Come on Felicia..

Felicia ➡ Quiet!! Have you all forgotten about the first woman to be created.. The wife of Adam, her name was Eve and what was her greatest crime.. She ate the forbidden fruit, because a snake told her to and what happened.. Man was kicked out of the lovely paradise and brought to this damned earth and now it would seem, history is about to repeat itself… Eve has the power of every reptile and let’s not forget.. Reptiles are backstabbing creatures ..

Ace ➡ Hmm, nice theory there but Eve isn’t like that.

Felicia ➡ Oh.. Is that right?.. Well.. Just wait and see.. Only time will tell and let me make things clear… If this late bloomer tries to betray us.. Just know that I’ll be the one to cut off the snake’s head.

After that statement, Felicia leaves the guest room, after a brief moment, Ade follows her out and then the meeting continues.

Ace ➡ Back to business.. Eve.. Your abilities are extraordinary but they’re also very lethal so that makes you very dangerous.. You need to learn how to use them so you would kill anyone by mistake.

Eve ➡ Thanks I will.

Iwonbi ➡ So Eve.. Will you help us.. We’re not planning to kill your father but he must be stopped..

Eve ➡ What do you want me to do?

Iwonbi ➡ It’s simple.. All you have to do is keep an eye for us and let us know what your father is up to regarding us.. Also don’t let him know you’re an Elite.

Ali ➡ And don’t betray us.

Meanwhile, Somewhere in,side Ade’s house, Both he and Felicia are engaged in a heated conversation.

Ade ➡ What’s your problem? Why do you hate her?

Felicia ➡ Well.. The fact that she slept with my boyfriend and the fact that she’s my enemies daughter is the reason why I hate her, as for you.. You sicken me.. You cheated on me.
.

Ade ➡ Look! I can’t deny that but believe me.. I had no control over what happened.. Eve sed-ced me, everything happened do fast.

Felicia ➡ Just listen to yourself… You know what.. I won’t even sweat it.. This shows that you don’t love me. I was a fool to think that you did.

Ade ➡ Don’t say that.. I care about you. That’s the honest answer I can tell you.

Felicia ➡That’s cute but I have no interest in sharing you with anyone… It’s time you choose which one among us you want until then.. You and I are through.. Adios Phantom.

Ade ➡ Wait… Why do you think Eve is a threat?

Felicia turns around and looks at Ade straight in the eye, she sighs and then gives him an answer.

Felicia ➡ When she k*lled those two guys.. Did she feel anything? Did she feel disturbed that she ended two lives? Was there any regret in her voice when she told you?

Ade ➡ No..
.

Felicia ➡ You see.. I can’t blame her for defending herself but to kill a human being without flinching or worrying about it.. That’s a problem.. Even when you kill animals.. You’ll feel something for them but she didn’t.. She didn’t even care.. I bet she’s forgotten about them… If she kill without hesitation.. Then.. There’s nothing that will stop her from taking another soul.. If I were you I’d watch her.. She’s weak in mind and if weak minded people get powers, eminent dangers follows.. She needs to be watched, Good night Ade.

After that Felicia leaves the house, Ade on the other hand, sits down on his couch thinking about what Felicia says and starts to get worried.

After realizing I was an Elite, I began to see life differently… From where I stand, I’m beyond any average human and with my abilities.. I’m a force to reckon with..
Three days after I met the Elites, I decided to help them out and stop my father.. So far nothing happened and I’ve been keeping them updated about my dad’s movements..

During this last three days… I’ve been utilizing my time to control my abilities and so far I’ve made progress… I realized that when I was in a bad mood or danger, my defense mechanism activates, that includes, the acid fluid from my mouth, the claws and skin hærdening , I also found out that I was immune to any kind of poison and I myself was poisonous especially my scales and the tears in my eyes.. I found out a lot of things about my abilities.. I could regenerate faster than any living human, and when I shed my scales, I could be younger than I look, I also found out that I could climb walls like the lizards and I could camouflage myself like the chameleon.. My speed was 3x faster than any human and I had a little superhuman strength… I found out about my strength in our home gym when I lifted a weight my father could barely lift.. I barely felt any weight at all.. I was excited to have this abilities and I began to develop some kind of ego.. After all like Ace said.. My abilities are unique unlike the other Elites and if I remember clearly.. Everyone seems to fear the abilities of Felicia and Ade.. I’ve never seen them use their abilities but whatever it is.. They are no match for me.
I’ve been hoping to tell my sister about my new found abilities but she’s been sick for days now and her condition is hærdly getting any better.. One evening as I was in my bed listening to some music, Isabelle came into my bedroom telling me that my father wanted to see me.
We both went to his place, He was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper when we arrived.

Eve ➡ What is it father?
.

Julius ➡ Isabelle.. Can you give us a moment?

Isabelle ➡ Sure..
.

Isabelle took her leave, and soon Dad and I were alone.. There was a brief moment of silence before he began to speak.
