“Why is Linda at here? Pamela have you put her on call?
Sliver asked.

“You we’re here when I called her and she said she is coming”
I replied took a sip of my drink.

“Let her come, I can’t wait to share the awesome good news with your guys”
Sliver sounded so excited.

“Babe won’t you tell me the secret behind this excitement?
I said being anxious to know.

“I can’t let the cat out of the bag until Linda comes”
She sounded.

“I can’t wait to hear the full gist of what happen with your trip to Dubai with Steve”
I said.

We are at our usually bar having a drink and waiting for Linda to show and join us.

Linda, Sliver and I has been friends from childhood and our friendsh¡p is so strong that we always together, attain occasions together.

Few minutes later, Linda entered.

“Hey babe!
She hugged us.

“You kept us waiting!
I sounded.

“Am so sorry babies! You know Lekki what traffick”
She sounded and ordered a drink from the waiter.

“Linda is here so you have to let the cat out of the bag”
I said.

“What’s going on?
Linda questioned.

“Sliver has been so excited and something happen at Dubai!
I said.

“C’mon babe! Tell us, what happen?
Linda shouted.

“Did you babies really want to know exactly what happen?
She said so excited and behaving like a drama queen.

“C’mon say it out, my ear is itching!
I sounded.

She shouted showing us her engagement ring.

She shouted with joy.

“Am so happy for you babe!
Linda said.

I said.

She sounded as we laughed out.

“So you have finally say good bye to Single Ladies Association!
Linda said.

“Pamela is remaining us!
Linda sounded.

“Not me rather you, who is so desperate to have a boyfriend!
I shouted.

“You know what babies, no boyfriends no invitation card so all my guests will be coming with their spouses to my wedding”
Sliver sounded starring at her ring.

Her eyes has been on the ring for so long now showcasing it to us.

Linda asked.

I added.

“Am being serious because I don’t want any single lady to keep her eyes on my Steve so you baby should better searching for boyfriend before the date”
She sounded with laughs which shows she is kidding.

Linda sounded.

“Someone had a date with one Mr Edward so can you tell us the full gist about your date?
I asked.

“She had a date with another guy from online! Did you meet a cripple guy this time?
Sliver asked.

We bursted out in laughter.

“That guy is something else!.
She sounded.

“What happen?
Sliver asked.

“Did you that the useless human being keeps on talking about wine and out of the thousands words he said I only spoke fifty”

We started laughing uncontrollable.

“That’s means the guy is a parrot?
I laughed.

“Parrots are even better the him, the worst part is that he talks so fast like typewriter”
She said being so annoyed.

We laughed and couldn’t control our laughter.

“Babies! It is not funny at all! The guy really pissed me off”
She sounded.

“You see what I told you, forget about this online dating of a thing, it won’t work”
I said.

“As for me am so lucky to have Steve in my life, every soon I will be Mrs”
Sliver sounded still showcasing her ring.

“Babies you all know that am not too lucky on relationsh¡ps which I don’t know why is like that so I thought of online dating will be of help and the most important thing about me being desperate of having a boyfriend is because of Mom, she has been on my neck to bring my fiancee home which I have already promised her that I will introduce him on my birthday which is coming up very soon”
She sounded being so worried.

“C’mon baby! You don’t have to be so desperate about it, I know by the time of your birthday you would have gotten your charming Prince”
I said.

“So Linda stop being worried about it and also stop this online dating of a thing”
Sliver added and took a sip of her drink.

“I have heard all you said but I think I have to try one more time maybe this time I will be so lucky”
Linda said.

“Linda you still want try again! This time around you will not only meet a cripple nor a blind guy but a dirty pig”
Sliver said.

We both laughed out.

“If it is your prayer for Sliver it won’t work okay”
Linda said and laughed.

“Pamela you will hear the ugly story of her meeting with her online guy”
Sliver added.

We gisted, cracked jokes before heading back to our houses.

I will be having a dinner with another guy I met online last night and I hope this one will be perfect and not turn out to be like other guys.

Am so desperate to have a boyfriend, I have promised Mom that I will bring my fiancee home on my birthday and anything she called me she keep on reminding me about the promise I made to her.

One faithful morning at my parents house, I was going through something on my system and my phone rang it was Mom.

I thought why she will be calling on the cellphone when am at home.

I picked the call.

“Linda come downstairs immediately”
She sounded so frightened.

The call scared me off that I wore my slippers and rushed down immediately.

“Where are you Mom?
I asked looking for her.

“Am here babe! To the dinning”
She said.

The voice I heard early was not happy like this.

“Happy Birthday my beautiful Angel!
Mom shouted at the moment I came to the dinning.

I was so surprised and speechless.

“Thank you Mom!
I shouted with joy and gave her a tight hug.

I looked at the table with was filled with my favorite food, drinks and a birthday cake too.

“Mom! You prepared all my favorite dishes!
I shouted feeling so excited and gave her k!$ses on her cheeks.

“All for you my Angel!

“Thanks Mom!
I said as I hugged her again.

“Time to cut the cake and make a wish”
Mom said.

I cut the cake and said my wishes.

“Happy Birthday to you once again”

“Thanks Mom!

“So how old are you now Linda?
Mom asked.

I already know her reason of asking.

“Am thirty Mom!
I answered.

“Thirty! No husband! No fiancee! Not even a boyfriend! Why Linda! Don’t you know that your husband or fiancee is in the right position to be the first to wish you happy birthday with a birthday present and not in the other way round”
Mom sounded.

“You know Mom, am not too lucky in relationsh¡p, that’s why I don’t have a boyfriend”
I sounded.

“What did you mean, you are not too lucky on relationsh¡p? Are you not beautiful and attractive for men to approach to you? Linda you supposed to be married by now with kids, you know you are the only one I have on this earth so try and get yourself a husband and give me grandchildren before I join my creator”
She sounded like an African Mom she is.

“Don’t worry Mom, I will marry and give you plenty grandchildren”
I sounded.

“I want you to make a promise to me that on your next birthday you will be coming home with your fiancee”
She said being so serious.

“I promise Mom!

“Am serous here, I don’t want you to give me a mere promise”
She sounded.

“I gave you my word on my next birthday I will be my fiancee home”
I promised.

That’s the most important reason why am desperate of having a boyfriend.

I got dressed for work, I usually used to have breakfast at the office beside am not the type that like cooking so I don’t cook at home, I always order food.

Jane my secretary, greeted me and follwed me behind as usual.

“Ma! This files arrived yesterday and it need to be sign”
She said.

“What are the papers for?
I asked cross checking something on my system.

“Ma! It is the contract deal the Omega Company made with us, it need to sign to show that we have accepted their deal”
She said.

“Okay! Give it me”

She gave it to me and I went through it before signing it.

“Here, you can transfer it to them”

“Okay Ma!

“Is my breakfast ready?

“Yes Ma!

“Can I have it?

“Okay! Give me some minutes Ma!

Few minutes later, she came back with my breakfast.

Toasted bread with egg and coffee, I perfer coffee than tea.

“Jane! What’s my schedule for today?
I asked as I took a sip of my coffee.

“Ma! You will be having a meeting lunch with Alhaji Adamu, you know it was postponed till today”
She said.

“Okay! Where is the location?

“I will send it to”

“Is that all for today?

“Yes Ma!

“Okay! You may leave”

She exited herself out from the office.

Done with my breakfast, signed some documents that need to be sign.

The meeting with Alhaji Adamu was a successful one, the two teams came in agreement on how to carry out the contracts that worth with a millions of dollars.

Alhaji Adamu is one of the business friend with my late father and he has been so good to the company.

I drove home to have a full rest before going for the dinner with Michael the guy I met online.

Meanwhile, Sliver has already called me to come to our usually bar for a drink but I told them they should enjoy themselves because I will be having a dinner date with someone online which they find it so funny.

I had a cool shower before going to bed, I set the alarm so that I will wake up on time.

I waked up by the sound of the alarm, went to the bathroom shower and dressed up for the dinner.

When I got there, the environment of the hotel looks so beautiful.

I parked my car at the car park and walked in,side.

I got a sit and waited for him,few minutes later abino guy approached me looking.

“Are you Miss Linda Anderson?
He asked.

I stood up and looked at him from head to toe.

“No am I not!

“Are you not the lady I met online that I will be having dinner today?
He asked being so confused.

“No! You are mistakenly! Excuse me!
I said and took my bag and walked out.

I leaned on my car with my palm on my forehead.

“Oh my goodness! What is this? Albino! He is so disgusting and irritating, he got this bad odour that can kill you within a minute”
I shouted and went to my car.

I saw him coming out, looking so confused.

“Look at his skin! Filled up with black s₱0ts, so disgusting and irritating”
I sounded.

“Oh God! Am I tried and am done for this online dating, let me accept my fate am not lucky to have a perfect boyfriend from the online dating, am fade up, no more online dating!
I shouted and drove home.
