“Wait, you are pregnant?”. Nick asked her surprised. “For who?”.

“What kind of question is that?”. I told him off. “She’s pregnant for Williams”.

“We don’t know for sure since I have also been intimate with her as well”.

I let out a scoff. “In your dreams, she’s with Liam’s child not yours”.

“And I wasn’t talking to you”. He directed at me.

“I don’t need to waste my time bickering with an asshole like you”. I turned to Liam who was watching us. “I need to go, still on that issue”.

He gave me a nod and I dropped the wine glass on the table grabbing my car keys as I walked out on them.

I went out of the main entrance to my car unlocking the car doors. I got in and closed the door behind me putting the key in the ignition as I started the engine before going off.

Even if Nicholas wasn’t the one who had planned to have Brianna killed, I would have still tortured him. He doesn’t need to live, he’s a complete douchebag.

Sometimes, I wonder how Williams got to be friends with someone like him. And to add to the fact that he has been screwing his best friend’s girlfriend secretly. Dumbs.

I gripped the steering wheels tight as I was on the main road driving. I need to find who had hired that thug because I know they will stop at nothing to make sure Brianna gets killed or Chloe doesn’t survives this.

I exhaled a deep breath thinking about the condition Chloe is right now. And to think the bullet wasn’t meant for her but she’s in there because she saved her best friend.

I heard my phone ringing and I used my left hand to bring it out of my pocket glancing at the caller’s I.D. Mark. I answered the call immediately.

📲Hey. Got anything yet?

📲Not yet but he’s gonna talk if we give him more reason to feel pain.

📲Make sure he feels more than pain but hey, Mark, he shouldn’t die.

📲Yeah Sure. I’m on that.

📲I’m serious, Mark. I’m counting on you to do that for me.

📲I will, trust me, dude. Where the hell are you at?

📲I’m on my way.

He disconnected the call and I dropped the phone on the other seat next to me. I just have to get to the warehouse quickly.

In just five minutes, I was there and pulled over immediately. I got down from the car walking towards the warehouse where the hoodlum was tied up.

I could hear him gr0-ning in pain. I opened the door and stepped in to see the criminal hung up by ropes, he should be treated like an Animal.

“You seem like you are having fun”. I said to Mark who was busy wh¡pping the guy.

He laughed lightly. “You are right, Lucas. I haven’t had this much fun in days, I need to do this more often”.

“Well you are not wrong”. I replied and he chuckled in response.

I tucked my hands in my jeans pockets and watched how he was beaten mercilessly, trust Mark to always do a good job. The guy’s body was covered with thick marks.

“I can’t believe he had the guts to lie to you, Lucas”. Mark spoke up again.

“I’m not concerned about that, I know that someone must have told him to do that but I need to know who. I’m sure its the same person who hired him”.

He faced me. “Who do you think could be the mastermind of their operation?”.

“I don’t have anyone in mind … “. I trailed off suddenly remembering something.

He had said ‘she’ before saying ‘he’. Then he hesitated before saying Nick’s name, it only means something is wrong here.

I walked towards the rascal. “Who sent you to kill Brianna?”.

“I told you already, Nicholas Quinn”.

“Seems like he doesn’t wanna talk”. Mark commented on that fact. “Should we just continue to beat him up?”.

“No”. I shook my head. “I’ll make him talk”.

I walked towards one of the rusty table and then took a loaded gun. Chloe got shot so I can shoot him as well. No biggie.

“What I’m holding right now can kill you but I don’t want to do that so just tell me who sent you”.

“I ain’t talking”.

I shrugged. “Your choice”.

I cocked the gun and directed it at his th-gh pulling the trigger. He yelled out in pain as he bursted into tears immediately.

“Nice one, Lucas. Still got that flame”.

“Now you tell me what I need to know or else the next bullet goes into your f–king brain”.

He yelped still in tears as I pointed the gun at his head. I have no intentions to kill him but he’s making me do otherwise.

“One ..”. I begin the countdown. “Don’t let me get to three or else__”.

“Its the governor’s daughter”. He blurted out immediately.

I was taken aback. “What?”.

“Governor of New York. His daughter and her friends, they were the ones who hired us. Emilia Peterson”.

🍭Lauren Hills🍭
“Umm, Lauren. You sure this is gonna work?”. Lea asked as we stood by the car.

“Yes, of course”. I snapped at her. “It will”.

“But why couldn’t Emilia come with us? It would have been much more better”.

“Emilia is busy with making sure that the thug who was caught doesn’t spill out her name”.

“Oh”.

“Now are you ready to go in with me or not, Lea?”.

“But, wait … “. She paused. “What we are about to do right now, Lauren. I really don’t think its right”.

“Do you want Lucas or not?”. I asked her angrily.

“I do”.

“Well then, we have to get Chloe Houston out of your way, out of our way unless she is going to be a pain in the butt forever”.
I reminded her.

Lea and I were dressed in a white coat and a stethoscope around our necks so that if we walk into the clinic, we will merely be seen as doctors thereby giving us unlimited access around the hospital.

We alighted from the car and headed to the building and then entered through the main entrance with ease. Then we walked down a short corridor leading to a waiting area.

On the right wall was a glass fronted office and directly ahead was a receptionist’s desk where a nurse sat reading a book.

“Uh oh!!”. Lea whispered beside me.

“Don’t panic”. I whispered back. “Just keep on walking like we belong here”.

“Are you sure it will work?”.

“Yes”. I replied simply.

Luckily, for us, we passed the front desk with ease going straight to main hospital.

“Maybe this is going to be easy after all but do you know Chloe’s room number?”.

“I do now keep your head down so that the security cameras don’t get us”.

She dropped her head down like me and in a few minutes, we arrived at Chloe’s ward, I opened the door and walked in straight to her bed.

Lea and I watched her. Her eyes were close and she was breathing with the help of an oxygen mask, she seemed vulnerable.

“So should we strangle her, suffocate her or what?”.

“Come on, Lea. Lets not be too harsh with our dear Chloe”.

I smirked and removed the oxygen mask making Lea to giggle slightly. Immediately, Chloe’s breathing became rasp and then the machine made beeping sounds, lines going straight.

Lea gasped. “Lauren, if all the lines on the machine goes straight that means she is dead”.

“I know right”. I chuckled to myself. “And that is what I want exactly”.

“Will you stay with me forever?”. Lili asked as I tucked her in bed.

“Well maybe”. I shrugged. “But if you need me then I’m just across the hallway”.

“In Daddy’s room?”.

“What?”. I asked amusedly. “No, in my own room”.

“But why?”. She pouted cutely.

“You want me to stay in the same room with your Daddy?”.

“Yep because thats how Mommy and Daddy always make babies faster”.

I bursted into laughter. “Where did you hear that, Lili?”.

“Thats how I was born, right?”.

I k!$sed her forehead. “Goodnight, baby”.

“Goodnight, Mommy”.

I smiled as she flipped her eyelids closed drifting off to sleep. Gosh!! Her mother was so wrong for leaving her, she’s just so cute.

I stood up from her bed and walked out the door closing it slightly. I went to Liam’s room and opened it going in,side.

“Liam. Can we talk?”. I asked hopefully.

He didn’t respond, he continued typing on his laptop. He has been like that since Nick said that there’s a possibility he owns my pregnancy.

I sighed. “If its about what Nick said then its not true”.

“Its not about that”. Liam spoke up. “I just want to know if what Nick said was right”.

“Liam, I didn’t s-× with Nick for two weeks until I found out he cheated on me, I was so busy to do that”.

“How true is your statement?”.

“I’m four weeks pregnant and I met you like five weeks ago so its definite you are the father of my baby”.

“Look, Brianna__”.

“And if you don’t want to accept that then its cool”.

I walked out of his room and went directly to my room, the guest room. I entered and sighed immediately, I need a bath to cool myself off.

I undressed quickly and entered the shower room. I turned it on setting it to cold water.

I closed my eyes and enjoyed the cold shower as it poured on me. Liam is just too annoying, how could he think that Nick is the father of my baby.

“Anna?”.

I paused hearing him call my name. Is he in my room? What the hell is he doing here? I turned off the shower and grabbed a towel.

“Anna? I want to apologize”.

I wrapped the towel around me hurriedly as soon as the door immediately opened. He paused seeing me running his eyes over my body.

I rolled my eyes and walked out pushing him aside as I went back into the room. I sat on the bed ignoring his presence.

“I’m sorry”.

“I don’t care”. I snapped at him.

“Anna, I’m sorry, okay? I accept that he’s my child, sorry for saying that earlier”.

“He?”. I let out a scoff. “Liam, I’m carrying a girl not a boy”.

He laughed in response and placed his l-ips on mine immediately getting on me as I fall back on the bed.

“Well Lili said she wants us to make babies together”. I told him.

“Really?”. He trailed k!$ses down my neck to my shoulders. “Do you want to make the pregnancy two?”.

I chuckled in response and I heard his phone ring immediately. He gr0-ned and rolled off me taking the phone out of his pocket.

“Yeah, Doc Sam”.

I arched an eyebrow. Doctor Sam? Why is he calling? Hope something is not wrong.

The phone quickly fell from Liam’s hands unto the floor making me scared suddenly.

“Liam? Is something wrong?”.

He grabbed the phone back and talked in hushed tones before turning around to face me, there were tears in his eyes making me afraid. Did something happen to Chloe?
