Vivian excitedly carried her precious acquisition to her pastor. And just as it is in every exchange, there must be a give and a take. In this case, the pastor gave her a list of a few dos and don’ts she’d observe so that the ‘powers’ (charms) of his God will manifest effectively.
He gave her a piece of cloth and instructed her to make sure she used it to wipe Oga Emma’s seat anytime she had the opportunity. He also instructed her to make sure Oga Emma was always the first person to have s€× with her after each of her periods. Most importantly, she was instructed to bring the one-third of whatever she gained from Oga Emma to the church as gratitude. He specifically warned that defaulting in any of these instructions would be detrimental both to her and Oga Emma. These were easy tasks for Vivian who was hellbent on dealing with her her boss. Equipped with these instructions, she set out to accomplish her mission.
Within a few months, Oga Emma had become a puppet in the hands of Vivian. She had used her newly acquired power to turn her boss into a lapdog who does whatever she wanted. The most ironic part was that the sweet dish inbetween her thighs which was what led to Oga Emma’s capture became far fetched from him. He only had it when it was necessary to maintain the potency of what was caging him. Vivian on the other hand, started living in affluence. She had acquired many properties in her name and set up her family members in different businesses. She was gradually bring down Oga Emma’s business and turning the proceed into her coffers.
Back at home, Oga Emma had become the opposite of what he used to be. He no longer cater for his family as he used to. Anytime he was asked for money for the family’s upkeep, he would get angry and yell at his wife. Sometimes days would pass without him coming home. The only times he came home or footed financial bills were when Vivian permitted. Also, all around town, anywhere Oga Emma went, you would see Vivian with him. Some of his friends who complained about his excessive showcasing of his side chic were made his enemies instantly. Oga Emma’s life continued going southward with Vivian in the pilot’s seat.
When the news of Oga Emma’s new side chic got to his wife, she was alarmed. She started recalling the events of the past few months in her mind. After thoroughly comparing the then recent behaviors of Oga Emma to how he used to behave, she was convinced he was under the spell of this side chic. She determined to seek for help and free her husband from whatever spell that devilish woman had cast upon him. But she didn’t know how to go about it as prayers were not her strong suit.
After deliberating on how to go about rescuing her husband from Vivian’s grips and she didn’t have a headway, she decided to confide in her bosom friend, Jane. “Babe I really need help. I can’t continue watching while this wicked girl takes away my husband”, she concluded after telling Jane about her ordeal. Jane looked at her with a funny face, laughed a little before replying “it’s now that your eyes cleared. When I was telling you to secure your husband against these girls that like reaping where they did not sow, you thought it was a joke. Now you don see am”. Jane further offered to take her to her ‘Baba’ whom she described as the last bus stop in spiritual matters. Reluctantly, Queen agreed.
The next day, they set out to Baba’s shrine. On seeing her, Baba told Queen what brought her to his shrine before she could say a word. He gave her a detail of all that happened in the past few months and how Vivian had been renewing the potency of charms intermittently. “My daughter, your problems are solved”, he concluded. Queen who was amazed by Baba’s spiritual foresight became instantly convinced that she was at the right place. After a series of incantations and skylark, Baba gave her a portion contained in a small bottle. “Empty this into his breakfast, the food he’d eat before leaving the house. Make sure he eats it and watch him come back to you completely. Come back and appease the gods when the deed is done”. He instructed as he handed the bottle over to her.
Queen excitedly collected the bottle, thanked him and left with her friend. It took two days for Vivian to permit Oga Emma to come home to his family. The next morning, Queen had prepared breakfast and made sure she emptied the portion into her husband’s food as Baba instructed. Few minutes after eating the food, it became as if something was removed from Oga Emma’s eyes. He looked at his wife and said “my lovely Queen, how have you been?”. Queen’s joy knew no bounds. Baba’s charms had worked and the cobweb that becloud her husband’s mind had been lifted. She rushed to him and hugged him tightly. Oga Emma reciprocated with a k-ss on her forehead. They held themselves in a warn embrace.
Just then, it struck. Oga Emma pushed her away violently. She fell into a couch in surprise. She was still trying to understand what was happening when Oga Emma started removing his clothes. In an instant, he was stark unclad and ran out of the house onto the the street.
Oga Emma had gone mad.
