He turned swiftly, to see it was the girl, who he encountered yesterday.
He gave her an inquiring gaze, and his face turned a bit colder.

“Good morning.”
She greeted him quite cheerfully, with her face that glittered from her smile.
“Good morning too. Is there a problem?”

He asked her, with his forehead creased.

She saw his unwelcoming character and was temporarily loss on what next to say. After some time she replied him.
“Actually I came to say Hi, and also smoothen the conflict of yesterday’s event. It was really a fault from my own side.”

She said in a pleading voice, looking more like a sulking kid, who’s cheeks flushed red in excitement. Making her look so cute and adorable. A bit swayed by her action, Richærd then took a good look at her for the first time. She was quite tall for a female, with a proportioned and well accentuated figure, that really had the curves at the proper place. He trailed up to her face, she had this brown skinned color and her l-ips was full and tempting, th l-ips gloss did more justice to it. She wasn’t exactly that too good looking or breathtaking. But she had her beauty and charm her own way.

The girl looked rather embarrassed, due to the way and manner Richærd sized her up. She was even slightly provoked, as it looked so rude and inappropriate.

Seeing that his action really was kinda wrong, he immediately gave a helpless smile.

“My bad, I’m sorry if I looked rude just now.”
He apologized.

” It’s alright, I’m not offended. I’m Sharon, what of you?”

She inquired, staring fixedly at him.
“The name is Richærd. I think we should talk later the lecturer is already in class.”
He said staring at the in coming lecturer, who was prolly in his sixties, dressed in a native attire, with a file in hand, as he confidently sallied forth to the centre of the lecture hall. The hall that was in the past few minutes riddled with an ocean of noise that could swallow voices, suddenly became noise free.

Sharon nodded went back to her seat and the lecture began.

Just like that they both started exchanging pleasantries, though more like acquittances. Just greeting each other cordially in school when they crossed path.

Everything, was almost like it was back to normal, when Richærd received news one day he was in his room watching a movie on his phone. In a tear filled voice his mom had told him that his brother was in a critical condition and was in coma and the probability of him surviving was almost negligible.

According to his mom, their school bus ran into a truck that was paving it’s way from the North into the East. The driver had died instantly, his body mangled beyond description. Luckily only the driver died and the students were all right save for the fact that they suffered injuries of varying degrees.

His brother was the one who was in a critical condition. Before he had lost consciousness, those around him said he kept muttering.
“Big bro Richærd, I don’t want to leave you and mom yet.”

He was in the hospital, barely hanging to the last thread of life. Tears poured in torrents from Richærds face, as he listened to those words from his mom.

He insisted on visiting his brother, but his mom refused saying that it wouldn’t be healthy for him to be there, that he should concentrate in his studies.

Completely defeated, Richærd sank back and wept uncontrollably. Just like the biblical Job, who said that what he feared most keeps happening, so was the case with Richærd.

It was almost one week later in class, there was no lecture and Richærd sat down there with his face bent on the table like wood, meant for placing of books.

Sharon, walked over to him and called him multiple times, but there was no answer from and then she gently tapped him, yet there was no response. Feeling apprehensive as if something was wrong. She shook him a bit roughly and Richærd raised his head and what Sharon saw shocked her.

“Richærd what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”
She muttered gently.

Richærd turned to look at her with a tear filled face. He sniffed and blew phlegms, on his runny nose, caused by his prolonged tears into his handkerchief, and his eyes all red.
