“Thought you forgot your promise”David beamed when Diana came down from the cab.

She haven’t been to his company before,so she called on her way and he came outside to pick her from the gate.

“How would I when I get a buzz on my phone every now and then”Diana laughed huskily as she went into his extended arms.

“Thank you”

“For what?”

“For coming”

“You are always welcome honey”

“That’s more like it”

“Well enough of your teasing,your company is such a massive building”

“Wait until you get in,side”

“Wow!.. your father must have been a genius”she said,these words seems to be the only honest words she had said to him ever since they met.

“You can say that again”
He offered her an arm,she took it and he guided her in,side.

“Good afternoon sir!”his chief security officer came into view,he carried two cartons of broken wine glasses with both hands ,”Good day ma”he added looking at Diana in appraisal.

“How are you doing today?”David knew he was being cheerful,he had always been towards his workers but this one is special.

Diana gave him a broad smile and a wave of her hand.

“Am fine sir”he replied smiling.

“Tell those guys to handle those glasses carefully next time,that’s to avoid someone complaining about a deducted salary…you are free to go!”he said on a serious note referring to the broken wine glasses, and waved him off.

“Thank you sir”

David nodded and walked off with Diana inclined to him.
When they hit the first floor all eyes where on them….or he should say they were on Diana.

She gave them her s€×iest and most charming smile which sent them wowing until they got to his office.

David is sure that those ladies are now given something to gossip about for the next few days.

They will be jealous as well and those men looking at her in admiration will find excuses to come close to her…well…they better not think of it..he’s the boss.

He smiled as he watched her look around with so much praise in her eyes.

“This is… wonderful David!”she said as she placed the plastic bag she’s carrying at his counter,it contained his lunch.

“You like it?”he inquired contented at the joy he felt within.

“Oh yes!..I love it!”she said trying to sit down but he caught her from behind and lifted her to sit on the counter,he stood between her parted thighs.

“What do you think about it?”

“I think it’s marvelous, beautiful, magnificent…I don’t even know the right word to call it”

“You can call it s€×y”he teased playing with her hair.

“Mmm…you are playing with fire sweetie!”she said throwing her head back to take in the pleasure.

“A fire that doesn’t consume?”he gave her a light k-ss on her throat.

“You are wrong…it..”

“You should say that am the fire baby,you are too soft to be called fire”he cutted her short as he left her and went to lock his office door,she watched him speculatively licking her l-ips.

She knows why he’s locking his office door and she’s already w-t,she can’t wait to have him in,side her.
She undressed slowly,her eyes locked on his as he worked on his belt.

“David?”she called softly with an inclination of her head.

“Yeah baby?”

“I love you” she whispered .Many things flickered through her mind as her eyes watered, she wants to say it all, she really wants to vomit everything and see how poisonous the venom will be but she’s more worried about him, will he ever forgive her?…

Her heart is too fragile,for the pains will be too much for her to handle.
One thing clear to her now is that love really happens….

Love is crazy and blind….
She doesn’t have to hold grudges against Nadia because she understands how blinding and crazy love could make one act.

Love is what Melvin needs though she can’t imagine him believing that what she feels for her is infatuation, pure lust..but he will get to understand that the one who really loves him is Nadia, he will grow to love her too.

Now she hopes he understands too …

“I love you too honey”he said pulling her into his arms.”I wish we could be like this for eternity”he said.

She pulled away from him and threw her arms around his neck,her long legs circled him closer.

“We could make it happen”she said wishing that it’s true.
They are just heart wishes….

He k-ssed her lightly on the l-ips,lifted his head to look at her face, smiled and k-ssed her again.

He deepened the k-ss while his fingers searched, found and touched every curve on her body.

She allowed him take control while she enjoyed herself.

He lifted her off the counter and jerked her against the wall,he went wild with desire.
He lost himself in the ocean of their love making and thr-sted into her from behind.

She held on the wall for dear life…

Their bodies were on fire,they fought to satisfy.

A mo-n almost escaped her l-ips but she swallowed it down,and clamped her l-ips shut,if she lost her sense of reasoning,it shouldn’t be in his office,it might not have sound proof.

David gripped her hair and thr-sted deeper with quick moves that set her ablaze,her l-ips parted and his name flowed out of her mouth.

“That’s what I want to hear babg!”he said as their bodies cried for release.

But that’s not enough for David,he pushed himself out and turned her to face him,her eyes where tightly closed ,her l-ips pouted in attempt to avoid a sound escaping through it.

He lifted her and carried her with all his strength as he thr-sted into her again,her back against the wall,her long legs rapped around his wa-ist,her fingers buried in his hair.

His veins became visible as his thr-sts came quicker and went deeper sending sparks through her,she pushed herself up and down his thighs as adrenaline rushed through her.

His l-ips came to rest on hers as he c-mmed and slumped to the floor,her body heavy on top of his,his arms slid off her body to lie beside him .

They lay quietly,each too weak to move.

He lifted his right arm slowly and ran his fingers through her soft hair,
“Are you alright?”he asked in a whisper.

She managed to nod ,lifted her head and smiled at him then laid it on his chest again.

“How about Harry?”she asked clearing her voice.

“Dunno”

Diana noticed the hint of anger in his voice.
She stood up and sat down beside him so she would have a better view of his face.

“You know…you two are adult and I think you guys have gone a long way in your relationsh¡p to allow a little argument no matter what it was about to come between you two”

He didn’t say anything,he stood up to his feet and offered her a hand.

He drew her up when she took his hand and picked her clothes that littered the floor.

She made to take it from him but he pushed her hand away and started dressing her up.

“You will call him right?”she asked tugging on her dress collar to straighten it.

“Don’t be surprised if he comes right now to borrow a car honey” he said smiling at her.

“Thank you”she said and went on tiptoe to k-ss him.

“Welcome…now..let …me …see…what you made for lunch”he drawled tightening his belt.

Diana sat down on one of the guest chairs.
“Well…I didn’t get enough time to make something special,so…you have got noodles and fried eggs”she said poking her tongue out.

She had gone back to the grocery store accompanied by Tricia.They spent more time there than she would have spent alone.

They even went home together and made the noodle..they ate to their satisfaction before she decided to keep to her promise especially when he texts every second,she had wondered if he did any work at all or just kept beeping her .

“Wow this is …. awesome,am already contented with the aroma”he teased when he opened the food flask.

“It’s just noodles”she laughed relaxing on the chair.

He sat opposite her on one of the guest chairs.

He took a spoonful to his mouth and savoured slowly.

His phone ringed just then.
He received it at once.

“Hello,this is Davidson and…..”

“Cut the crap and open your f-cking door!..I have been standing here for over an hour now!!”
Harry shouted and slammed the phone.

“Who?”Diana inquired following the look on his face as he gazed at the telephone.

“That son of a devil”
He replied and went to open the door.

Harry walked savagely in and took the sit David was seated at.

“Owh…Harry it’s been a while!”Diana said following his movement.

“You think so?..have been busy,hope he hasn’t been a d*ck towards you?”Harry queried taking her hand,he dropped a k-ss on both hands.

David whom have been standing beside the door jumped in and snatched her hands from his.

“What brought you here?”David asked securing her into his arm.

“Seems the aroma of this noodle brought me all the way here!”Harry said carrying the food flask.

David rushed to take it from him as well but he was quick to dodge it,he stood up and walked farther away from him and started eating with his hand.

“You are dead!”
David shouted throwing a book at him, he turned to face the wall as he ate the food.

David gave up and sat down, he drew Diana to sit on his lap.

“Harry seriously, am very hungry, aren’t you ever afraid of being poisoned one-day for Christ’s sake?!!”he snorted ,he’s really farmished,his stomach grumbled .

“I will go get you cookies then”Diana said standing up.

“Alright,that’s because am hungry”he said smiling weakly.

Diana took her bag and left them.

Harry sat down dropping the already empty flask on the foot of the table.He licked his fingers maliciously.

“Where’s all your f-cking table waters?”he said looking around for his table water.He grabbed one from his lower drawer and drained it in two gulps.

David watched,not knowing what to say or do,he’s too hungry to move a hand.

“Tell me,how’s the love making?”Harry asked rolling his eyes.

“What do you mean?”David asked yawning.

“Don’t play smart with me, do you know how many minutes I spent on your door knocking?,if not for anything, I know when two lovers has done the deed, am not a kid”Harry teased laughing huskily.

David knew better than to argue with him,he simply crossed his legs and closed his eyes.

“You know why am here right?”Harry asked tapping him on the arm.

“Which of the cars do you want and who threw a party?, I and Diana might tag along”……..

Diana dashed out of the restaurant where she went to buy cookies for David when her phone ringed.

She picked it without looking to know the caller as she increased her pace .

“Hello Diana?” Nadia’s familiar voice came in.

Diana halted before she walked on slowly.

“Hi”she managed.

Tricia had said they would call her but it slipped out of their mind,it’s a good thing she called .

“I…Diana..am … I…I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to do this… I…”

Diana noticed that she couldn’t find the right words to express her mind, not enough courage as she stammered.

“Ahm…see Nadia it’s fine, just come around tomorrow, I will be with Tricia at the eatery beside their house, we will give you a call when we get there”Diana said with all honesty.

“I.. thank you, I’m so sorry Diana, and thank you..” Nadia said with a sobbing voice.

“It’s fine, you don’t have to worry about it, I have forgiven you really…I just…I just didn’t expect that from you but what would I say, we are all the same, I hold nothing against you Nadia, seriously!”she tried calming her down.

“Thank you so much,I will come over tomorrow”

“You are welcome darling,see ya…bye!!”
She cutted the line smiling as she stepped into David’s company’s main building…….

“You know I won’t hurt you purposely for any reason right?”Nadia asked gloomily,she had even come to wait for them at the eatery before they came in,she looked at Diana with tearful eyes.

Diana sat down and tapped her index finger on her cheek thoughtfully.

“Sit down baby girl, don’t feel obliged to us,I can testify you wouldn’t do that just to hurt her”Tricia said pulling Nadia to sit beside her, they faced Diana.

“Diana I…..”
Nadia started again but Diana stopped her with a raise of her hand and a light shake of her head.

“Love knows how to play dirty tricks on people Nadia,you could have just told me… I mean… it’s true that we are attracted to each other but you and I know that I don’t love him,I could have ended the relationsh¡p and given you two a chance….well, I wish you guys luck, nonetheless”

Diana said smiling at her, she jumped up from her seat and came across the table,she hugged Diana tightly around her shoulders whispering appreciative words to her left ear.

Tricia smiled at them,’what are friends for?…break up and make up…only Diana and Nadia never broke up…and I pray they don’t….ever’Her mind whispered to her.

“You guys know how to make me feel left out,can someone please come and hug me?”Tricia said pouting her mouth funnily.

“You are too old to be cheeky Trish..eeew!”Diana said laughing.

She stood up and they hugged each other tightly as if they are just seeing each other for the first time after many years of being separated from each other,they drew so many attention as they laughed loudly and sat down again.

“I had thought some long lost friends are making up for the first time in years!…”Harry said smiling at them,a blonde girl attached to his arm,she smiled radially.

“Hola!…who do we have here?!”Tricia asked in surprise before adding”Mr. Harry the always with a babe of our time!”

Everyone laughed at her comment including Harry and his babe.

“Tell us, who’s she?”Tricia asked .

“Oh, her name is Miriam”he said smiling at the girl.

“Wow!..pleased to meet you sweetie…am Tricia and these are …….”

“Hey!..I have mouth,I will introduce myself,am Diana..”

“My brother’s wife!”Tricia jumped in,Diana rolled her eyes at her and she looked away holding back her laughter.

“Am Nadia”Nadia said simply enjoying the flow.

“Why is this table empty?”Harry asked as they occupied two empty chairs beside their table as well.

“Well…”Tricia shrugged her shoulders and relaxed on her chair”haven’t seen a waiter come by”

“Waiter!?!”Harry called .
A male waiter came around their table at once.
“Sorry I didn’t come early…ready to take your orders”he apologized and requested for their orders.

“I need a grape juice,let me go through the menu first”Tricia said opening the menu in front of her.

“Me too!”Diana and Nadia almost said at the exact time,they smiled at each other.

“Baby what would you want to take?”Harry asked Miriam.

“I…Red wine will be fine with me”she replied uneasily.

“Okay,get us red wine ,we will place our orders when we must have gone through the menu”Harry said looking at the waiter.

The waiter knodded and left them.

“How’s your man Diana?”Harry asked eyeing her conspicuously.

“He’s healthy, thanks”she said with a glowing air.

“You know… I never imagined that you and Tricia are so close”Harry said thoughtfully.

“Well…we get along just fine, she’s the best sister in-law,the only friend I have got around here”she replied.

“Mmm… I see,must be so lucky”

“Oh yes… I am!”

*Three hours later*

“It’s nice meeting you Miriam, bye Harry!”Tricia said.

“Oh yeah bye,see ya next time”Harry said taking Miriam’s hand,they walked to his car slowly.

“Who knows how many weeks this one is going to last?”Tricia asked no one in particular referring to Harry’s new relationsh¡p.

“What are you talking about?”Diana asked her,not understanding her point.

“Nevermind!”she waved it off and walked to where she packed her car.
Nadia and Diana followed.

“I think she’s talking about Harry and his girl!”Nadia ch¡pped in feeling free for the first time after their reunion.

“She devil!…how did you know that?”Tricia laughed.

“I followed your gaze..and I know when a babe is feeling some guy”Nadia replied giving her a quick look.

“What do you mean feeling some guy?”Tricia snorted avoiding eye contact with her.
They went into Tricia’s car,Nadia came with a cab.
Tricia didn’t start the car,she waited for her reply.

“Can you please move the car first?”Diana said impatiently.

“Why the rush?…gosh!”Tricia asked then added more cynically”owh!.. I forgot the babe is a married woman”

“Now you know,move it!”Diana spat back at her.

“Tricia?”Nadia called.

“Yeah,am listening..tell me the feeling some guy thing babe, haven’t forgotten!”she snorted.

“You will never change,you and your crush are just about the same,too stupid to see the sparks hovering around when you two are close!”Nadia said looking at her friend through the mirror.

She’s sitted at the backseat.

“What nonsense are you talking about,Nadia?”Tricia asked turning to look at her face.

“Diana can you deny you didn’t see what I saw just now?!”Nadia asked looking at Diana instead.

“Well ..I…can’t tell,all I can see is her starting this goddamn car and taking me home… you are guys are free to argue after that!”Diana replied eagerly.

David had said that he will come back from work early today, he left her on bed very early in the morning saying he has to meet up with a client and promised to come home early after the meeting.

She looked at her wrist watch and was surprised to see that they spent more than three hours at the eatery.

“Am moving bitch!… you don’t have to start shouting!!”

The ignition came to life and she pulled the car to the road in high speed.

“Hey babe, don’t do that!… I’m not ready to die!”Diana said hitting the car’s bonnet.

“You said I should move, and am doing just that!”Tricia said catching cruise.

“I love this sort of movement babe!”Nadia mused laughing her brains out.

“Can you please drive more slowly Trish?!…am having a heart attack!”
Diana said neglecting Nadia’s words.

“On one condition!”

“Okay… alright…say it!”

“Promise to do it first!”

“How can I promise to do what I don’t know!?!,…. okay…okay …fine!!… I will,I promise!!…I cross my heart!”

“First!…we will go to your house together and enjoy your well prepared food,I have missed it and,secondly!!… you will get David to give me some cash,I have to shop for a change of wardrobe, school will soon resume!”Tricia announced like it’s nothing.

“What?!”

“Yes baby…that’s all,hope you understand or should I repeat it ?”

“I get it!!.. please slow down!!”

“Did you agree with me?!”she raised a brow at her.

“God!!… please concentrate on the road!!,and fine I will do what you said,I will”

Tricia slowed down the car and Nadia bursted into laughter from behind them.

“I will make sure to add poison to the food I will give the two of you!”Diana fused grasping relentless breaths into her lungs.

“You are making me change my mind”Tricia said,Diana grabbed the hem of Tricia’s gown and gave her an apologetic look.

“I will love that,is it a spice…what’s the name again?”Nadia mused.

“Curry!”Diana replied laughing now.

David didn’t keep to his promise.

Nadia and Tricia had stayed longer than expected at his house,Diana saw them off at exactly 5:15 in the evening.

She came back and rearranged everything she had already arranged in attempt of waiting for him.
She took food to Peter and had a chitchat with him,he’s very funny and she enjoyed his company.

She checked on the flowers in the garden, watered and trimmed some over grown parts.

Walked around for somewhile,then went in,side again.
She took her phone and called his office line.

No reply,she sent voice mails.
Tried his mobile phone number,texted,sent voice chat,no reply at all.

She went outside the gate and walked around like a security guard as she tried reaching his lines again.
It’s already dark.

7:59 is boldly written on the screen of her phone when she checked it .

“Oh my!…how time runs so fast!”she exclaimed.

“Madam!..let’s go in,side and wait for him”Peter said from behind her.

She was surprised,she didn’t know when he came to stand behind her.

“Well….ehm…has he ever came home late before?”She asked worriedly.

Peter nodded,then said;
“Yes,but those few times he stayed out late are countable,he either visits his family or caught up on traffic, and he calls to inform me so I wouldn’t worry”

“Then,you agree with me that this is strange huh?”

“Mmm…yeah,it is”

Diana thought of many reasons why he wouldn’t take her calls or reply her texts and voicemails, maybe he found out….did he?!.

Or maybe he’s with his ……..

No!,she can’t think like that,he said he doesn’t have any girlfriend and he loves her.

Or probably he’s with his mother and sister.
But he would have called wouldn’t he?!.

“Peter,can you please call him with your phone, maybe he will pick it”

Peter plucked his phone from his side pocket immediately and dialled his boss’ number.

Meanwhile Diana called Tricia’s line.

“Hello sweetie!..have you told him about the money?!”Tricia’s voice came ,she picked at the first ring as if she’s been waiting expectantly for it.

“Trish are you saying he’s not with you guys?”she asked lowly.

“Well…yeah…Diana,is anything the matter?”

“He…he hasn’t come back from work”Diana managed tiredly.

“What?…this late?!…what could be keeping him?!”Tricia’s voice became impatiently worried at once.

“I don’t know, I can’t even reach him”She said looking over at Peter to see if there’s any luck on his own.
Peter simply shaked his head .

Diana’s shoulders slacked.

“Don’t worry,let me call him and….I will also call Harry to know if he knows his whereabouts,I also have some contacts of his colleagues, I will put a call across to them, just calm down… he’s probably busy or something… don’t worry yourself baby, I gat you!”Tricia said.

Diana knew she’s trying to be strong, and accepted anyways……she doesn’t have to be over the edge for what she’s yet to know.

“Fine,thank you, I’m expecting your text”

“That’s more like the strong lady I know,bye!”Tricia said and disconnected the line.

“Let’s go in,side,you might catch a cold”Peter said worried about her.

“You can go in,let me wait a few more minutes for him then I will join you”She told him with a weak smile.

“You think I can do that?”

“You are not my personal bodyguard,are you?”she asked trying to put her mind at ease.

“At least I’m guarding this house and everything in,side,you are also my masters property so you are under my care”

Diana laughed weakly.She has no spare strength to argue with him.

“You win,lead the way”

“No,go in first,I will be right behind so I will close the gate”he said folding his arms over his chest.

“Like seriously now?!…jeez!..fine”
She went in,side, straight to the corridor and sat down with her eyes fixed on the gate.
