ALPHA DOROTHY
(The First Female Alpha)
✨ Chapter 5✨
*Two weeks later*
Xavier thought about everything Jack said and a part of him reasoned with what he said. Dorothy has done something no one could ever do so what’s the assurance that she won’t also pull this off?
“Just who is this Dorothy that she keeps doing whatever she wants? She keeps getting in my way every time and I feel like I have to put her in her place very soon” Xavier thought to himself
“What did I tell you about Dorothy?” Jack asked as he came in
“I don’t understand. What are you talking about?” Xavier asked confusedly
“Well, Dorothy has managed to get her pack to the top of the list of the strongest werewolf packs. Do you know what that means? It means we’re number two while Yellow Stone pack is number one.
I warned you clearly not to take Dorothy lightly because she didn’t seem like an easy catch but you didn’t listen to me” Jack explained
“But how is this possible? It’s only been two weeks since she took over the pack. How could she have achieved this in such a short period and how come no one knew about this?” Xavier asked
“Well, her eighteenth birthday is coming up soon and she wanted it to be a gift to her pack members. Only few people in her pack knew about it and that’s why we never got to hear anything” Jack said
“When is her birthday?” Xavier asked with a smirk
“It’s in three days time but you can’t go. I know she would never invite you and if you go there, things won’t go well. She didn’t say or do anything the last time because it was her dad’s funeral. It’s different this time” Jack explained
“All the more reason why I should attend the party. O want to see what she’s capable of doing to Alpha Xavier. Her pack might be the number one now but I’m still more influential than she is.” Xavier said
“You never listen to me anyway so just suit yourself. I’ll get everything ready for the party” Jack bowed and walked away
“Dorothy Alan! First, you changed the history of a thousand years within a snap of your finger and now, you are challenging the mighty Xavier. Do you think you can win this?” Xavier said to himself
*Four days later*
It was finally Dorothy’s birthday. Different people from all over the world started arriving at the party and if you were not well informed, you would think the world President was throwing a party. Actually, the world President can’t even host a party as big as this.
Dorothy was in her room upstairs where she was getting a make over from one of the best stylist in the world.
Her shiny black hair was packed in a ponytail with curls dropping at the side. Her long lashes were looking extremely beautiful and she had a pink lipstick on her lips which made them glitter under the bright lights.
The stylist was done with her job and the gown was brought to her. It was a knee length pink gown that clung tightly to her body, bringing out her perfect shape. The gown had a slit at the side and it went up and stopped at her mid thighs. It was a sleeveless gown with diamond stones all over it.
As Dorothy descended the stairs in the beautiful gown, everyone couldn’t stop staring. The men felt like getting down with her instantly while the ladies were envious of her stunning beauty.
The party started in earnest and Dorothy was to give a speech. She was thanking the guests for gracing her party with their presence when Xavier came in.
As soon as their eyes locked, Dorothy felt an unexplainable feeling which Xavier also felt at the same moment.
“Mate!” Kayla, Dorothy’s wolf shouted
“Mate” Keith, Xavier’s wolf also shouted
“What the f**k! There’s no way Xavier can be my mate. I always looked forward to the day my mate would appear but if he’s the only one the moon goddess gives to me, I’ll rather choose to remain single for the rest of my life” Dorothy thought to herself
Xander stared at Dorothy and scoffed in disbelief. He was trying hard not to accept the fact that Dorothy was his mate.
“Dorothy is my mate? How does that even make any sense? The moon goddess finally gives me a mate and it turns out to be Dorothy? Seriously?” he scoffed while staring at her with hatred
“Thanks to everyone that attended my party, I’m so grateful” she concluded and stepped out of the party for some air
She sat down quietly and just stared into space as different thought went on in her mind. Moments later, Xavier came outside and also sat beside her.
“What are you doing here?” she asked through gritted teeth
“What am I doing here? Isn’t today your birthday?” Xavier asked mockingly
“I never invited you here so you can take your leave now” Dorothy concluded and stood up to leave
“Where are you going hurriedly? We have an unfinished business remember?” Xavier smirked
“An unfinished business? And what would that be?” Dorothy asked with a smug smile as she turned around
“There’s no way you don’t know already that I’m your mate” Xavier said
“So what?” Dorothy scoffed
She was actually expecting Xavier to accept her as his mate since he was not getting any younger while she had it in mind to give him the most brutal rejection ever, but instead, what Xavier said shocked her
“I, Xavier Wayne, reject you, Dorothy Alan as my mate” he smirked while the smile on Dorothy’s face vanished
She was completely thrown off balance by what she just heard while Xavier on the other hand seemed to enjoy seeing her in that taste.
“If I rejected him, it’s a different case entirely but him rejecting me? This is totally absurd!” Dorothy thought to herself
“I guess you have nothing to say, seeing as you’re staring blankly. I will take that as a cue to leave” Xavier concluded still with the smile on his lips
“No! I can’t let him leave victoriously like this,I have to do something” Dorothy thought to herself
“Someone once told me that what Xavier hates the most is someone opposing him. He likes to be in control but if someone decides to stand against him, he will be enraged. Yes! That’s it! Even though I don’t want him as my mate, I will do anything to make him miserable and also to show him I’m the boss. After all, Yellow stone pack is now the leading pack” she concluded within her and took a deep breath
“Well, you rejected me but I’m against this rejection. Both of us have to consent to it for it to be valid right? It’s a rule that Moon Valley pack specially made and I want to follow it thoroughly” Dorothy concluded with a smirk this time around

Xavier stopped in his track and slowly turned around as soon as Dorothy said those words.
“What did you just say?” He asked again to be sure he heard correctly
Dorothy on the other hand walked up to him without saying a word.
“I asked you what you just said” Xavier asked through gritted teeth
“Ohh you didn’t hear? Sorry about that! Well, I said I don’t agree to this rejection. A rule that was made by your pack says that both parties must consent to the rejection, else it’s null and void” Dorothy concluded with a smile
“Have you completely lost it? You want to become my mate? Do you even know what you are saying?” he asked angrily
“Of course I’m fully aware of what I’m saying. I will give you time to think about it” she said
“You’ve totally gone insane! If you think I will accept you as my mate, then you must be crazy. No matter what happens, you will never become my mate” Xavier said
“Only time will tell. Let’s just wait and see” Dorothy shrugged and walked away
Xavier left the mansion in anger and headed back to the pack. He drove the car himself and left his guards stranded. He arrived at the pack within a few minutes and took a shower to calm his nerves at least.
“What happened Xavier? I wasn’t expecting you to return so quickly” Jack asked walking into the room
“What the f**k? Did you break all this? What exactly happened at the party?” Jack asked further when he saw the things Xavier had broken in the room
“You won’t believe who I’m mated to” Xavier said through gritted teeth
He was literally boiling in anger but Jack seemed to be oblivious of that fact as he was only interested in finding out the details.
“Whoa! You’re saying the moon goddess finally gave you a mate? It’s a good news and you should be happy. Why are you breaking things instead?” Jack asked confusedly
“I asked if you know who my so-called mate is” Xavier screamed, startling Jack a little
“I don’t know who she is” Jack answered slowly
“That witch! That evil Dorothy that wouldn’t let me be is my mate!!” he screamed
“What?!” Jack said in shock
“That girl is not just a witch but also a psycho. I rejected her as my mate but do you know what she said?” Xavier giggled with a sad look
“W…what did she say?” Jack stuttered
“She told me that she was against the rejection. She talked about our rule that states that both parties must consent to the rejection. I know she hates me and I even hate her more but just to see me miserable, she would go to any extent. If she’s not a lunatic, I don’t know what else she is” Xavier concluded with a tired sigh
“What are you going to do about her now?” Jack asked
“I would rather die than mate with her. I don’t think I can hate anyone as much as I hate her and she just worsened it” Xavier said
“Big brother!” Nancy Wayne, Xavier’s sister exclaimed and walked in
“Don’t let her come here, it’s dangerous” Xavier said to Jack tiredly
He then stood up and carried his twelve year old sister in his arms before walking out of the room.
“Why were there broken glasses on the ground?” Nancy asked as they headed to the garden
“There was a small accident but don’t worry. It will be taken care of before we return inside” Xavier said with a smile
If there’s any weakness that Xavier has, then it would be his sister. He loves his sister so much that he wouldn’t think twice if asked to go to the end of the world for her.
*Dorothy’s mansion*
Amanda Bruce walked into Dorothy’s room after the party was over. She noticed Dorothy was absent from the party after her speech so she decided to check up on her. Not because she was worried or she cared, she was just curious to find out what Dorothy was up to.
“Why are you drinking alone on a day like this? It’s your eighteenth birthday, shouldn’t you at least be happy?” Amanda asked, taking a sit
“Right? I keep asking myself that question too. I’m supposed to be so happy on such a special day, coupled with the fact that I found my mate. But why am I so sad instead? I don’t seem to understand” Dorothy murmured and chugged the wine down her throat
“Wait! What? Did you just say you’ve found your mate?” Amanda asked, ignoring every other word Dorothy said
“Yes, but you wouldn’t believe who he is. I can’t believe even the moon goddess is against me now” Dorothy giggled
“Who is he? Is he handsome? Is he from our park? Is he well known?” Amanda asked at once
“He’s my enemy! The only person I hate the most in this world. I’m sure you know him already since there’s only one person I hate” Dorothy chuckled
“I honestly can’t take a guess. The only person I know you really hate for now is Alpha Xavier and I know there’s no way he can be the one” Amanda said
“Wow! Even you also think it’s absurd! I guess I must have gotten on the moon goddess’s bad side, seeing as I became the first female Alpha” Dorothy mumbled
“Wait! Are you trying to say Xavier is your mate? That’s not what you’re trying to say right? It’s totally impossible” Amanda stammered
“Well, it’s not impossible for the moon goddess” Dorothy shrugged
“Okay fine! Let’s say the moon goddess paired you guys together. I’m sure you rejected him right? You can always find another mate since you’re still so young” Amanda said with a short laugh
“I didn’t reject him” Dorothy simply said
“So what? You want to take him as your mate even when you know I like him?” Amanda asked through gritted teeth
“It’s not like we can do anything about it. Even if I reject him, there’s no assurance that the moon goddess will pair you guys together. Also, this might be my only chance to have a mate and I can’t blow it up” Dorothy explained
“Are you being serious right now?” Amanda scoffed
“You want to take the guy that your best friend has eyes for? Don’t you have any shame? Do you think the world revolves around you now that you became the first female Alpha?” Amanda asked angrily
“Why are you suddenly getting angry? Even if you want to get angry, it should be with the moon goddess, not me. I never asked her to pair me with someone like Xavier” Dorothy shrugged
“You’re unbelievable! I can’t believe I was with a friend like you for so long. You’re totally disgusting” Amanda said in rage and left the mansion
