The opening of the room door interrupted them and Jasmine came in
His eyes took over his face at the scene in front of him. “Holy f*cking shit!” He scre-med
Kingsley quickly let go of Veera and it seems Jasmine’s presence and scre-ms made the alcohol wipe off their faces
Kingsley is sweating slightly while Veera is breathing heavily, their l-ips are still w-t from the k-ss
“What In the holy hell did I just see you both doing!” He yelled
*King… Kingsley” Veera said shockingly, now seeing his face
“Vee…. Veera?” Kingsley said, seeing it’s really Veera
” No … No… No this did not happen, no!!!!” Veera scre-med and ran out of the room
Kingsley fell on the floor and sat on the ground confusedly
Jasmine came to him and held his shirt. “She’s your sister” he said
“It wasn’t my fault!, We were both drunk and that’s why she k-ssed me back!, She must be imagining me as bloody Ronny too” Kingsley said
” So .. you were imagining her as your witch” Jasmine said
“Yes, I was imagining her as Jewel” Kingsley sniffed and Jasmine released him
” Thankfully it hasn’t gone past the k-ssing level, if you guys had s*x, it’d have been another story entirely, you’d have made unwanted babies” Jasmine said
” It’s not funny” Kingsley said and stood
“Take it off your memory, you were both drunk, not like you both did it intentionally” Jasmine said
” I dunno how she’ll take it, I hope she doesn’t hate me, I’m her brother, I should be the one telling her what’s right and wrong, but I ended up doing the wrong thing with her” Kingsley said
” You were both drunk, stop blaming yourself man” Jasmine said
“What do I do? ” Kingsley asked
” Just try to forget it, and try as much as possible to avoid vodka from now on, you and Veera should really quit drinking” Jasmine said, patting Kingsley
” And how the hell will I get things away from my head, how will she do that too and how will things not become awkward between us?” Kingsley asked
” How are to get it away from your head…hmm, k-ss the one you imagined her as” Jasmine said
” Jewel” Kingsley said
” Sure, how can you even be so daft, you imagined Veera as her and k-ssed her because you lo…..” Jasmine stopped halfway
” Because I love her?” Kingsley said and Jasmine gasped
” How the hell did you…..”
Kingsley sat on the bed again and sighed
” Pearl made me know I have feelings for her, she told me if I’m always happy to have her around, if I smile at her sight, if I’m always looking forward to seeing her smile, if her smile makes me smile too and if I can’t take her off my head, she said it means I’m in love, I didn’t want to admit it at first but trust me these past few days has been full of realizations, I think I might be In love with her” Kingsley said, tearing up
” Why are you crying buddy?” Jasmine said
“Back then at the lounge, I was so blinded with jealousy because I saw her laughing and talking with Richmond, I’ve started feeling selfish in the sense that, I want her smile only for myself and I don’t want her to smile in front of any other guy, when Richmond touched her hair, I felt like punching him but I calmed the nerves down with alcohol, I got drunk and ended up k-ssing my sister, thinking it’s her” Kingsley said
” So what are you gonna do? ” Jasmine asked
” I dunno, I’m really confused” Kingsley replied
“Confused?, Who the hell says they’re confused in this clear situation?, You just have to confess to her and tell her you love her, then wait for her response” Jasmine said
” Love?, Am I really worth it?” Kingsley said, wiping his tears
” Of course, everyone deserves to be loved, you haven’t been in love before, this is your first and if you lose her, you’ll regret it forever” Jasmine said
” You always say love is cruel” Kingsley said
” Yes I always say that, but it’s cruel to me, you can’t know how it’ll behave to you unless you try it out bro, love might be sweet for you” Jasmine said
” Will she love a guy like me?, I mean… Everyone knows me as a Casanova and…
“And you’ve changed”, Jasmine interrupted. “You don’t f*ck anymore and you have des**ted all your f*ck mates, you’ve really changed from the f*ckboy I know to a different guy since she came into B-KAY high” Jasmine said
” What should I do?, I don’t know how to go about it” Kingsley said
Jasmine smiled and folded his arms on his chest
“You’re handsome, check!, You’re rich, check!, You’re a bad boy and maybe she might like bad boys, half check!, You’re boring, I sense she’ll make you lively…you’re a f*cking jealous type, jealous boyfriends are the most rom-ntic, check!, Then you’re even rom-ntic to your f*vk mates so no doubt, you’ll be one hell of a rom-ntic boyfriend, everything is ok with you, you’re good to go” Jasmine said
” How do I tell her?, I mean…..” Kingsley stopped and laughed
” I can’t believe I’m asking all these, how do I express myself to her?” He said
” Don’t worry when the time comes, you’ll surely get the vibes to do that, right vibe” Jasmine said
” What do I do about Veera?” Kingsley asked
” I’ll talk to her” Jasmine replied and led the way out of Kingsley’s room
They got to Veera’s doorstep and Jasmine knocked
“Baby V, open the door we need to talk” he said
“I don’t want to, I’m so embarrassed right now, tell Kingsley I’m sorry, I’m just so silly!” She replied from in,side with a baby’s voice
” He’s not mad at you, rather he’s mad at himself, I’m the only one here, open the door and let’s talk” Jasmine said and Veera opened the door slightly
” What?” She asked
” You won’t let me in?, I’m sad” Jasmine said and she opened the door more widely, he went in the scattered her hair with his hand
“Jeez!, I hate you!” Veera scre-med
“It’s not your fault, you were both drunk” Jasmine said
“No, it’s his first time of getting drunk so it’s partially not his fault, it’s my fault for always getting drunk” Veera replied
” No don’t say that, you both are at fault and that only means you both should stay away from alcohol for the meantime if not forever” Jasmine said.
” I’m embarrassed” Veera said, covering her face with her hands
“It’ll be fine right now I promise” Jasmine replied
” How?” Veera asked
” Follow me” Jasmine replied, leading the way out
“No I can’t face him” she replied
“Wait” he said and covered her eyes with his hands from behind her
“Go like this” he said and she moved out
Kingsley is waiting right outside the room
Jasmine removed his hand from her face and she quickly looked away when she saw Kingsley
“Go closer and hug each other like real siblings will do and do what you do to tease each other normally” he said
They took same steps as they moved closer and they covered it up with a slight hug, Veera made to k-ss his neck but Jasmine stopped her
“You do k-ss each other on the neck?, Probably leaving hickeys?” He said
” Yes” Kingsley said.
” Now that’s bad, you’re siblings for crying out loud, not lovers, now that practice should stop as from today, no hickeys from Kingsley to Veera or from Veera to Kingsley” Jasmine said
” I copy that” Kingsley replied
“you guys can just call each other annoying names” Jasmine said
” You’re a pain in my ass” Kingsley started
” You’re really brainless Kingsley” Veera replied
“A great bone in my throat, that’s what you are” Kingsley said
“Middle finger for you” Veera replied, giving him the middle finger
“F*vk you Veera” Kingsley replied and Veera pinched his cheeks
“Ouch!, I hate you!” He winced
“I hate you more” Veera replied and they both started laughing at the drama they just staged
Jasmine can’t help but laugh out loud at the drama too, they repeated that for almost tweny times and Jasmine told them to go brush again
They ate in his presence and he inhaled hærd when he saw it worked
“Any awkwardness again?” He asked
“At all” Veera replied
“Thanks buddy, but by the way, why did you come in the first place?” Kingsley asked
” You took my phone with you, I detected that when I couldn’t find it” he replied
” Oh” Kingsley said, dipping his hand into his jacket
He brought out the phone and gave him
“Take care buddy, I’m outta here” Jasmine said
“Sure” Kingsley replied
” Bye” Veera replied

The Hales**
Jewel got home from the lounge very exhausted and worried
Kingsley left the lounge earlier than usual cos when she finished chatting with Richmond and went looking for him, she couldn’t find him, it was Jasmine who said he was drunk and he went home already
She has been calling his line since then but he’s not picking so she decided to ask Jasmine but Jasmine is gone already
She became more worried than she’s expecting herself to be and can’t think straight again as she paced round her room Immediately
She got home
“What could have happened?, Where’s he?” She asked herself
“Why are you like this” Love said, peeping into her room
” Kingsley left the lounge earlier than usual today so I’m damn worried” she replied and Love smiled
” Ok lover girl, just be calm,I’m sure he has a reason for doing that” Love said before leaving
Almost immediately, Jewel’s phone rang and when she saw it’s Kingsley, she almost jumped up before picking
“Hello where have you been I’ve called your line countless times and you won’t pick, why did you leave the lounge without telling me” she said
” I’m sorry” Kingsley’s voice said and that calmed her down
“I’m really sorry, but it’s partly your fault too” he said
” I don’t get, how?” She replied
“You don’t have to know why it’s partly your fault right now but you’ll soon know, hope you had fun” he said
” No, I was worried that you left and you we’rent picking your calls, I had you in my mind all through so I really didn’t enjoy the the lounge tonight” she replied and can hear him smiling
” Are you currently at home?” She asked
“Yes I’m at home, did you send the math assignment already?” He asked
” Of course, check your WhatsApp” she replied
” Then I guess I have to go now, I need to go solve the questions” he said
” No don’t go!, I mean… don’t hang up, why don’t you do it and let me watch how you do it from here,slot your phone into live video under your chats with me” she said
” Ok…..done” he replied and his face came to view, her joy knew no bounds immediately she saw his face
“Cool like this, you can now start solving the assignment” she said
” Sure, listen attentively and make sure you look at me with all the attention you’ve got’ he said like a real teacher
“Yes sir, you may proceed” she smiled and he smiled widely before starting the calculation
She made sure to listen to his explanation and details though that’s f*cking hærd to do with the fact that he’s in the video, his face is a distraction and his l-ips is another distraction entirely
She’s unaware of when he finished the solving and he looked up at the screen
“You understand the last step right?” He asked but she’s already lost, staring at his face
” Jewel!” He called and she jerked up
“Oh I’m so sorry, can you go over it again?” She asked
” What were you thinking?” He asked
” I’m sorry” she replied slowly
“Let’s go out together tomorrow after school, just the two of us, as friends” he said
” Really?, Outing?” She gushed
” Are you in?’ he asked, hoping she’ll say yes
” Of course, I can’t wait!” She gushed and he smiled before starting to explain the solving steps allover again …

Next day, B-KAY HIGH junior class**
Jewel’s eyes won’t stop bulging when Mr Joe returned their math notebook and she scored everything including the four questions Kingsley solved for her last night
“Holy molly!” She almost scre-med
“What?’ Veera asked beside her
“Wait….is Kingsley very good in math?” She asked.
” Yes, he’s not a dullard, he’s an average student in every other subject but he’s quiet good in maths” Veera replied
” Gosh!’ Jewel said, hugging her book
” I don’t have your time” Veera said sadly
“Why?, Is something up?” Jewel asked
“Ronny is sick but Romina won’t let me call him” Veera replied.
“Sick because of you?, He has started learning his lesson, let him get sick and become lean and as thin as a broom, let him become dehydrated and lose a lot of weight before going to him, he deserves it” Jewel said
” Jewel I love him and…
“And you can’t bear it, I know but you you just have to bear it” Jewel interrupted and left the class Immediately, sighting Kingsley who’s just leaving the senior class block and entering the lab
She followed and when she entered, he smiled surprisingly
“What is miss witch doing here?” He asked
She smiled and walked up to him then did what he wasn’t expecting, she hugged him
“Why?” He asked, hugging her back
“I got ten on ten in the assignment, thanks to you” she said happily
” Oh that?, It’s really nothing” he said
” You just said it’s nothing?, No Kingsley it’s definitely something and I really appreciate it, never knew you’re a mathematics guru” she whispered
” Well now you know” he whispered back into her ear and as his l-ips touched her ear, she shivered obviously
“Are you scared that I might eat you?’ he whispered
*I’m not scared, why will I be scared of you” she replied
He pecked her before stepping away from her
“You’ll meet me at the park when you’re done alright?” He asked
“Sure, see you then” she replied and hugged him again before leaving the room
Kingsley touched his chest and smiled. “Calm down please” he said to his heart that’s beating so fast
Closing time***
It came by slowly and the exhausted students left the class one by one
“You girls should go on, I’ll meet you at home” Jewel said to Love and Pearl
” Why?, Where are you going to?” Pearl asked suspiciously
” Just… just somewhere, I’ll meet you guys at home” Jewel replied
” Ok baby, have fun” she said
” I know where you’re actually going to,bad b*tch” Romina mouthed
” F*ck you” Jewel mouthed back before leaving the class
She rushed to the park and entered Kingsley’s car for the first time
It’s cool!, The driver is sitting in front of it and they’re both at the back of it
“Whoa!, This is just great” she said
“Thanks witch, where should we go?” He asked
” Anywhere where you won’t be sighted” she replied
” Well I have a place in mind” he said, covering his head with his hoodie
“Ok let’s go” she replied and he ordered the driver to take them to Sydney Fun ground
The drive took just ten minutes and throughout the drive, he held her hand and k-ssed the back occasionally till they got there
They came out of the car and her eyes w¡dened
The place is, wow!, different games, different refreshments, snacks, there’s even a park there, a pool!
“You like it here?” He asked
“Yes, it’ll be fun” she replied
He offered a hand and she placed her hand on it, he held it and they walked hand in hand into the place, having snacks and refreshments, they watched the magic show going on together and then went to the park where they rode the different rides
They ate cotton candy together and had ice cream….
“How did you know my favorite flavor is chocolate?” She asked when he came with two waffle cones of chocolate flavoured ice cream
“It’s my favorite too, I decided to get us same flavour, never knew it’s your favorite too” he replied and suddenly dipped his ice cream into her nose, staining her nose with it
“Jerk!, I hate you!” She scre-med and he ran off
She ran after him and he knowingly slow down then she jumped on his back and he started swaying her, she rented the wh0le place with her scre-ms
“My witch” he said silently when he later stopped the swaying, she rested her head on his shoulder and crossed her arms on his chest, breathing heavily
“My jerk” she replied and they both smiled

Night, The Hales**
Jewel came back home smiling happily and Love had to persuade her greatly just forget to tell her the cause of her happiness and who she actually went out with but she insisted that Pearl should come first
Love went to Pearl’s room and dragged her to Jewel’s room and Jewel smiled, facing them both
“Guys….I know this might sound strange but I’m…in love” she said, biting down on her lip
” With who?” They both chorused
“Kingsley Brown” she replied.
