Chapter Sixty Nine:
Ares
” they had to reschedule the meeting” Xar muttered ” they think they have more pressing matters to take care of” nodding my head I relax on my couch and close my eyes thinking carefully
” we will break into there this night, I have a feeling they won’t give me what I want ” muttering I exhale ” I will go through their files myself ”
” dropping that somewhere else, how can you hide the cat malfunction from us ” Zar muttered looking hurt ” aren’t we your buddies ” nodding my head I sit up and furrow my brows at them
” I found out I had cat malfunction the day you two try killing me” their mouth turn to a o shape ” I didn’t tell you guys because I had trust issues, dont blame me ”
” you’re right, Evelyn is to blame ” Xar muttered, Zar nod and I stand to my feet, defiantly not in the mood to talk about that Bitch nor do I have the time to think about her wrong deeds towards me
Shoving my hands into my pocket I walk into the elevator, give Xar and Zar my news before it close up ” am getting married ” their face filled with shock, the elevator close before they could mutter any other words from their mouth
Arriving on the second floor I look around my place, wondering why I feel weird all of a sudden, I haven’t seen Zoe today, what have she been doing in her room all day long ” little mouse ” maybe I should take her out, we have been in this place for a while now” little mouse ”
Opening her room door, she sat there, laptop on and a head phone on her head ” there are times you here but I just can’t get enough, I love you baby…… You’re my sunshine, my lemonade ” she chuckle that the last part before continuing her music
I never knew she is good in singing, her voice like a sweet melody washing down my body, she haven’t notice my appearance yet. Closing the door I walk towards her direction k-ss her neck from behind and she flinch
Turning off the music she take down her head phone and stare at me, her face bright and happy ” Ares” she muttered before throwing herself at me and we fall to the ground ” good morning ” giving my l-ips a quick k-ss I stare at her for some seconds
” get ready, we are going out ”
” where??” She asked looking curious and I sincerely dont know where to take her ” anywhere of your choice ” before I blink my eyes she is off my body to the bathroom, within two minutes she ran out with her towel into her dressing room and within another minute she sat on the bed wearing a brown short and white tank top with a hat
I watch her apply just her lip gloss, grab my hands and off we went ” where are we going?” Getting into the car, I stare at her, her hands place under her chin as she think for awhile
” I dont know ”
It felt like all my energy fly out of my body the moment she mutter those words ” come on Zoe, you got dressed up for nothing?? ” she looked a bit sad then shake her head
” take us anywhere you want to go Ares” at the end I found my self in an ice cream shop force to lick ice cream like a kid, my gaze move back to Zoe, she lick her l-ips before savouring the taste ” let me clean that up ” drawing my face close I lick the ice cream off her cheek then withdraw back
Everybody eyes are on us as her cheek grow red, she quietly go back to her ice cream ” Ares”
” Mmmm”
” how old are you ” she muttered her gaze traveling back to meet mine ” you look twenty seven ” my l-ips curve into a smile
” am Two hundred and twenty years old Zoe ” her eyes w¡den, she did some calculations then nod her head ” you were two hundred when they gave birth to me??” I nod, she relax
” oh my god, Zoe is that you!!!!”
Zoe
My gaze move with the direction of the voice, Sandra stood there, her dark hair put in a high ponytail while she wore this red summer short dress ” you have been absent from class this semester, are you okay ” she sit next to Ares, her bag on her lap, something hairy in her bag
” am fine Sandra ” we aren’t really friends but she loves showing off too much which is annoying ” what are you doing here ”
” I came for some ice cream silly ” she chuckle ” aren’t you gonna introduce me to your brother ” blinking my eyes at her they move to meet an annoyed Ares, hands clench together, she is too close to him
She tried placing her hands on his shoulder but he quickly grab it, its been awhile I saw his annoyed expression towards girls been so close to him, he shoot her his cold glare. fear register in Sandra eyes, if I remember correctly Ares once use to stare at me that way
” he is my fiance Sandra and he doesn’t like dirty hands on him ” I furrow my brows at her, she rise to her feet and clear her throat ” nice meeting you Zoe, hope you resume soon ” after that she fasten her steps out of the shop and I burst into laughter
But Ares is still acting strange ” Ares ” he look at me, sweats forming on his fore head ” little mouse ” Sandra loves cat, they was a hairy thing in her bag which might be a cat and when she sit next to Ares it might have touch him
That’s was probably why he clench his hands ” oh god, what do we do, we have to leave no…..” Before I could complete my sentence everyone in the ice cream shop is dead, camera broken down, doors and windows closed, blood everywhere
” Ares” I watch him licking the blood off his hands, his eyes move back to mine, completely blue, just like a cat eyes, this only last for for few hours, if I can hold him in here before he kill the wh0le town everyone will be safe
But in this state he doesn’t even know me and seeing so much dead bodies made me hungry, my fingers elongating while I salivate

Chapter Seventy :
Zoe
Covering my mouth I move backwards, what’s happening, since I knew I was a descendant I have tried my best not to eat human body because once eaten that’s all you could think of, Ares rise to his feet walking towards my direction, he is going to kill me
Humans are starting to gather round the shop, trying to get in and see what’s happening. I have to get us out of here and quick. I stop moving back and the moment he grab my neck I recite a spell that made us disappear and appear deep into the forest, why did I think of a forest??
Landing he let go of my neck, am away from dead bodies but am still salivating, why?? My gaze move back to Ares, his eyes normal, he look at me then throw the lap of a human to body ” oh my god ” pishing it off me, I crawl backwards ” Ares??”
He move to my direction and bend down ” eat Zoe ” he look sad ” if you keep starving yourself, you will die. That’s why you haven’t even used your real power yet, this isn’t time to be weak ”
” but….” He shook his head shutting me up ” I know, I killed the wh0le people in the shop and couldn’t drink their blood because am addicted to yours” what is he saying, Ares will never want me to eat anybody
His face grow to smiles when I grab the body, my fangs are elongating, am really gonna do this, am going to eat a human being ” little mouse ” my gaze travel back to a struggling Ares, holding his head and hitting the body out of my hands
What’s wrong with him, he hold his head rolling on the floor and gro-ning deeply ” Ares” I tried touching him which result in me getting kicked away, my head hitting one of the trees in a hærd way
” f-ck” I muttered as blood flow from my head, I was getting dizzy by the second but I have to help Ares, I have to save him from what’s happening. Holding the tree I rise to my feet slowly, the wh0le place turning around
” stay away from me ” Ares gro-n deeply ” or I will eat you ” what’s he talking about, vampires dont eat human, they only s-ck blood, what’s wrong with him. I blink my eyes trying to see clearly
Ares is standing before me, fingers long, fangs out and eyes red, this isn’t Ares. What’s happening to him ” Ares??” Before I could take another step Ares fall to the ground, someone stand behind him holding a huge wood but I couldn’t make meaning out of all these or who is standing there
If felt like I lot all my stamina as I fall down, the stranger caught me in his arms, my eyes closed on its own
…….
” I think this boy brings bad Luck to my life sweetheart ”
” why didn’t you let him eat her ”
” you could tell that he isn’t in his senses, am a demon sweetheart but I do know vampires aren’t suppose to eat human flesh ”
” oh please, is this some excuse you fetch up in order not to cook dinner ”
” why do I have to cook human food when I can’t eat one ”
All this murmurs made me fully awake, I stare at me surrounding, a man sitting with brown hair and red eyes, the woman standing, hands around her h¡p, black long hair and green eyes
Who are these people and where am i, sitting up I hold my head and gro-n inwardly then everything came back to me, Ares, he isn’t well ” where is he ” I search their face for answers ” Ares, where is he, he needs my help, I need to find him ” standing up the woman hold me and shake her head
” you can’t meet him now honey, he isn’t in his right state of mind ” she tried holding me down but I was beginning to lose my patience, smacking her hands away from me, the man with the red eyes quickly caught her before she fall
He shoot cold glare my way, it was more intense than Ares, I step back scared but I need to see Ares ” I need to see him, please ” I beg tears building in my eyes
” you can’t see him now, he is turning to an abomination and if he is able to fight it then he will be back to normal”
” where is he “Standing up they show me the room he is locked in, his hands and leg chained ” flesh!!!” He keep gro-ning, asking for human body, I cover my mouth, did he eat one of the human bodies without my notice, why are we always getting in trouble, why can’t we be at peace
Turning around I stare at the strange man ” what do you mean by abomination ” he furrow his brows at me like I have gone mad
” you’re a descendant and you have the guts to ask just an ridiculous question ” shaking his head he turn around ” you yourself is an abomination ” he muttered moving away from me, I couldn’t understand what’s happening
I stare at the wh0le place, standing outside the room Ares is been held captive my gaze move to my left, a young girl caught my attention, standing behind the room with a guy with red hair and golden eyes, her hands placed on his chest, pushing him away from the house
Am not in a good mood to spy at other people business so I sit outside the door and hug my knee to my body, Ares have to fight this, fight this for us. He shouldn’t give in to this thirst
” are you okay ” a male voice brought me back to reality, I stare at him, his hair is red while he has green eyes ” are you related to that man ” nodding my head he bend down then rob my head gently ” he will be alright, he just need to focus in surviving okay ” he tried standing but I hold his hands
” what’s an abomination ” I asked, he looked confused as to why I dont know what that mean ” descendants are abomination to vampires ” he muttered ” descendant were once vampires blue ” I furrow my brows and he quickly said ” you have blue eyes ” so that’s why he called me blue ” I have to go mum, just came to see you ” he yell getting up and out of the house
Descendant were once vampires, what is the meaning of all these???
