Do you honestly thought that I’ll tolerate that evil brownie and not do something to her.
Hell no!
I just had to devise something more disguised, so I will be able to hurt her without
being suspected.
To hell with itching powder, that’s a leaf near our compound, we call it wèrèpé, I only had to grind a little and keep it in my school bag, why do you think I went to the sports field, okay a part of me went there to watch Keith Merrick play ( I really need to know what’s going on in that guy’s head, he’s so unnaproachable that he almost makes me lose my nerve) but the other half was there to get my revenge on Sasha, I was so careful that she didn’t even have any idea that I was spraying something on her back.
By the time the thing started is work, I have already disappeared from the field.
It pains me that I wasnt there to watch her display but thanks to technology, the school’s gc and my friend Tori, I’m watching the video right now on her phone, I’ll even join the gc today, I can’t afford to miss out on any juicy gossip.

A fight began these two girls, I just shake my head because of their stupidity

I hate lying, why not say the truth and get away with it but I have my parents poverty to consider, I don’t want to get kicked out from this school, it’s a big opportunity for me.

The girl is still staring at me, waiting to hear what I have to say.

I said as curtly as possible

She hissed and catwalks to her seat.
Did this girl just insult me!
No one insults me and get away with it.
I walk towards her and Tori holds my wrist
” please Erica, it’s too early to cause trouble, that girl that you’re seeing, her father has a restaurant, if you fight with her, you’ll end up blaming yourself, her parents could even request for your expulsion from the school ”
Sasha walks into the class and the noise died down, all the girls scurried to thier seats.
One guy stands at the door way and sneers at her
People were winking at him and whispering
😬 ah, idiot, make way for her

I was even wondering why people are so terrified of her when she slaps the guy on the face.
” how dare you place your stinking, irritating, bacteria filled, ugly, nauseating, repelling body in front of me ”
The guy raise his hands to slap her but Sasha just smiles
” do you want to know the number of people I’ve ruined thier lives in this school, slap me and I’ll add you to the list, you can ask around, I don’t bluff ”
The guy debates over it for a few minutes and drop his hand, I think he figured out he couldn’t afford to have his life ruined.
Sasha suddenly started walking towards me and against my earlier bravado, I feel myself shrinking in my seat.
I’m so so pissed with this girl and heaven knows that I just want to slap that mouth of her’s
” Erica, I believe you already know why I’m coming to your seat”
Ah! Mom and dad , why do you guys have to be so poor, if you were rich, would all of this be happening to me!

beaten this stupid girl up
Now I’ll be forced to lie!
I lamented inwardly

She yells at me
The words sounds stiff coming from my mouth, I have to force it out

” if I smell it or even perceive it that you’re lying to me then consider yourself dead ”
She said and I know she is damn serious
I breathe a sigh of relief when she glares at me to her heart content and finally left my seat.
At least I had my revenge
I try to comfort myself with that thought
A boy ( probably a Junior student) walks into my class, he speaks to some of my classmates and starts walking towards me
” senior Erica, senior Viktor said I should call you ”
” which Viktor ”
” Viktor Peterson ”

That arrogant fool!
What the hell does he want from me?
” tell him that if he wants to talk to me, he should come to my class ”
The boy looks at me like I just said that the sky is green 😱😱
” senior, don’t you know senior Viktor, all the girls are dying for him in this school and you’re saying that I should tell him..
” what’s my business with that, if all the girls are dying for him, it’s none of my business, tell him what I told you and get out from my class ”
I yell at the boy.
Tori squeezes my hand and looks at me in awe.
” Erica, um if I heard that guy well, he said Viktor is calling you, I’m surprised that my crush um he..
Tori faltered miserably and her face flamed with heat.
So that arrogant idiot is Tori’s crush
Is there any sane person in this school that’s not attracted to Viktor Peterson?
” I don’t like him ”
I said tartly and Tori seems pleased with my answer.
My eyes traveled to Keith Merrick again,
I just can’t stop thinking about him, he is so different from all the guys I’ve ever met.
Not that I’m crushing on him or anything like that

I need to have him as my friend, I just miss my buddies at the community school, most of my friends are guys.
But how do I go about it
OK, I should probably strike a conversation

Then I remember he likes football, I don’t really understand football, I prefer wrestling to it.
But I can’t s-ck so bad at it right?
Seconds later, I arrive at his seat, he didn’t even have the decency to greet me
He gave me a look that would have frightened
anybody but have you forgotten that I’m Erica.
” hey Keith, um between Messi and Barcelona , which one do you think will qualify for the World Cup ”
His face screwed up in disgust
” Messi ? Barcelona ? World Cup? you’re sick, you don’t have to be so obvious in trying to get my attention, I don’t like you, can you please leave my seat ”
If I wasn’t feeling ashamed already, the laughter that accompanied his words makes me feel so stupid
I’ve never so self conscious in my entire life, why do I suddenly feel so tongue tied, I should give him the insult of his life.
But for the first time in my life, I couldn’t!
I walked back to my seat feeling so damn angry at myself.
How dare him!
Is my attraction to him so obvious
I bang my head against the locker just to get back to my senses
I’m not attracted to him!!

Tori places a warm hand on my back but doesn’t say anything.

My skin still hurts, I can’t even imagine the amount of palm oil that was used on me.
I confronted Viktor, I threatened him and he claims he doesnt know anything about it.
But one thing is sure, once I catch the culprit, he or she will pay.
I tried talking to Keith earlier, I told him I’m sorry for slapping him when he was only trying to save me, he only nodded his head and didn’t say anything, not even a word
He doesn’t speak to me but it doesn’t bother me because he doesn’t speak to any girl too .
Until now
When he spoke a total of thirty one words to that crazy girl, how I wish he had spoken those words to me, even if they were angry words, I’ll be happy that he even spoke to me.
After all these years, why can’t I forget about Keith Merrick.
And why is Erica trying to gain Keith’s attention.
Keith is mine!
The thought settled down in my mind.
And I will hurt anyone that tries to take him away from me

I feel so bad for insulting that girl, I really wish I hadn’t.
I’ve always tried to avoid intEr×¢ting with people, I’ve always known I have the tendency to hurt people.
And what happened right now only confirms my worst fears

Keith stands up and apologized to me, raising his voice so clearly that all the class could hear.
I feel vindicated and appeased
But I still insulted him for insulting me.
I don’t take insults lightly
He explained to me that I made a very good mistake with my ‘Messi ! Barcelona! World Cup! ‘ fiasco and I cringed at my own stupidity
We decided to call it a truce, he insulted me and I insulted him back
Fifty fifty no cheating

I stretch my hand
I can sense his hesitation, he continued to stare at me awkwardly until he took my outstretched hand and envelopes it in a handshake.
” yeah friends ”
He muttered before heading back to his seat,
Mission accomplished!

Why is Sasha looking at me like that
Suddenly I hear angry footsteps approaching me and I stared into Viktor’s angry eyes.
What’s this guy’s problem ?

I felt so angry when the boy delivered her message to me, how dare she question me
And from what I heard she is a poor girl
So why is she playing hærd to get
The teachers are having a meeting so I decided to go to her class and I as I saw her in person hmm
The girl is not even fine !

When she raises her head up and glares at me with pure hostility, I almost take two steps backwards
Does she have a personal issue with me!
Probably someone else ruined her mood
I don’t waste time with words, I like going staight to the point, and I lifted my chin and said the words with as much arrogance as I can manage

If her eyes were filled with hostility before, now they’re filled with fire

The teacher enters the class and all the noise stopped
Our first subject was biology.
I hate biology.
And Mr komolafe’s boring explanation isn’t helping matters.
He gave us a practical and asks us to team up into a group of four, in the blink of an eye everyone has teamed up.
” you, you, you and you, you’re the only ones left, team up ”
He said, pointing at me, Tori, Sasha, and oh my God! That weird girl, Shanaya.
Tori stared wide eyed in shock, she looked at Sasha who glares at her murderously and Shanaya who couldn’t stop showcasing her super long finger nails.
She clings tightly around my wa-ist
” Erica, I’m going to die in the hands of those two…. ”
” relax, it’s only a practical, I’ll beat up anyone that dares to touch you ”
I said smirking at Sasha,
” you don’t understand do you!, the four of us!!, we’re going to be a team for the wh0le of this term!!!, we’ll be doing everything together…
