Chapter 69 :- Holy Magic unleashed

Despite being at the receiving end of the stick at every turn, Xeira refuses to back down from the fight. The thought of her being defeated by Ebinoluwa made the mermaid so mad with rage and for that, she tried to exploit some weakness in the young witch for her to us.

Xeira ➡ (laughs) You arrogant b-tch! Don’t get cocky. Do you really think I’d let you end me? Let’s see you try!!
.

Before Ebinoluwa could cast a spell, Xeira unleashes a thick fog in the church making it hard for anyone to see except her. Thinking that this could give her the opportunity to strike Ebinoluwa down, Xeira charges towards the witch going for the kill. Unfortunately for the mermaid, she had made one miscalculation which was failing to take Rotimi into consideration.
Thanks to the demon blood running through his veins, Rotimi was blessed with one of the special abilities of the demons and that was super enhanced senses. As the mermaid charges towards them through the thick fog, Rotimi notifies Ebinoluwa of her direction and the young witch quickly intercepted her with a vicious blast of lightening.
Having struck by Ebinoluwa’s attack, Xeira was sent flying backwards and despite the pain she was in, she staggered back up to her feet determined not to look weak in front of the young witch. However instead of continuing her fight with Ebinoluwa, Xeira decided to back off for the time being.

Xeira ➡ You’re strong but I will not let you have your way with me. You may have beaten me tonight but I will return the favor.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Where do you think you’re going? This fight isn’t yet over. The real fight is just beginning.
.

Suddenly in that moment, Ebinoluwa levitates herself in mid-air and begins to utter some strange words in a steady pace and in that instant, the crosses in the church and other holy item began to glow bright with light and as if that wasn’t strange enough, the interior of the church itself began to turn around in a very fast pace moving in circles. Rotimi who was witnessing what was going on suddenly started to feel weak and as much as he tried to remain firm, his willpower didn’t last long. Also suffering from the same weakness as Rotimi, Xeira begins to wonder what Ebinoluwa was up to but before she could figure out what was happening to her, the answer soon revealed itself.
After unleashing her spell, Ebinoluwa’s eyes glows bright with light as she stares down at Xeira from above. She suddenly snaps her right fingers and then the entire church trembles emanating white rays of light from the ground and ceiling and within a blink of an eye, a giant hand made out of the light appeared and opened wide pinpointing at Xeira and on its palm was a giant cross marking. Nearly blinded by the light, Xeira covers her eyes trying to move despite how weak she was. She knew that Ebinoluwa was out of her league and it would be best to get away from her but before she could even think of moving, her body started to pain her.

Xeira ➡ (shouts) WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME? WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Sorcery.. (laughs).. This isn’t sorcery. This is the antithesis of all kinds of blackmagic and witchcraft. This is holy magic.
.

Xeira ➡ HOLY MAGIC!? Impossible.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Thanks to the knowledge I’ve been given, I was able to master it over the years and now.. You’re going to be my first test subject. Prepare to die.

Xeira ➡ ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Holy magic!

The long lost forgotten magic that rivals witchcraft and was once used to fight against the threats of evil. If TOK and I hadn’t met I would have never thought that such kind of magic exists. Unlike other kinds of magic that I’ve learnt easily, holy magic was the first magic I had trouble mastering. According to the knowledge that TOK gave me, the magic can only be harnessed and used by those with pure heart and faithful followers of God. Also there were some group of individuals long before the birth of the modern world who used this magic to fight evil. These same group of individuals showed up 100yrs after the death of Christ to save the christians that were being persecuted and brutalized to death by followers of Satan who fed them to lions or burnt them alive on stakes. However, the group suddenly disappeared and the secrets of the holy magic died with them and now here I was bringing it back to life. As strange as it may be, I couldn’t believe that I was able to use the spell considering the fact that I’m half witch but then this shows that I’m worthy for such a feat.
So presently after i made that statement, I snapped my right fingers once more gathering all the light in the church at the center of the giant hand. As the lights gathered in one place, they formed a huge ball of light shining brighter than ever and as soon as the spell was complete, I waved my right hand unleashing the attack on Xeira.
Moving fast like a shooting star, the huge ball of light struck Xeira hard vaporizing every inch of her. Hearing the b-tch awful screams filled my heart with joy, at last I had settled the score for my parents . Within a matter of seconds, everything was over, the church was saved from further damage and all was quiet. Seeing that there was no trace of Xeira left, I descended to the ground and tried to approach the body of Mimi which was unconscious but before I could take a step, Rotimi’s painful moans caught my attention.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Rotimi, are you alright?
.

Rotimi ➡ That spell you casted. It hurts… alot.
.

Judging from the painful look on Rotimi’s face, it seems that everything about the holy magic was true. According to what I learnt, the rays of the bright light makes any being of darkness to become weak and feel pain. I should have been more careful when I casted this spell. My eagerness to crush Xeira had made me forget that Rotimi was by my side.
Whilst I was busy checking on my boyfriend, I heard some noise behind me and as I turned around I was absolutely shocked. Here before my very eyes was Xeira in her liquid form emerging from Mimi’s mouth and as soon as she was back in her full form, she grabbed Mimi’s hand and opened a small vortex on the ground where there was some little amount of water.

Ebinoluwa ➡ How is this possible? You should have been dead!!
.

Xeira ➡ Yes I should have but I always have a trick up my sleeve. It was a good thing that you fought with my clone. I learned alot today.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Clone??
.

Xeira ➡ Yes.. I made the switch in the fog I created. I was hoping to surprise you with a sneak attack but your demon lover prevented that from happening.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You’re not getting away. I’m going to finish what I started.
.

Xeira ➡ You’ve had your chance but keep it in mind that this isn’t over. Mark my words, the odds are against you and you have no chance of winning what’s coming. Everything you love and cherish will be taken away from you and I’ll be there to watch as your world comes crashing down your head.

Angered by what the b-tch said, I struck a blast of lightening at her but she quickly escaped through the vortex and was gone. Rotimi who had regained his strength at the moment saw how pissed I was and held my hand consoling me.

Rotimi ➡ Babe, it’s going to be alright.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ No it’s not. That b-tch is still alive. I should have seen what was coming.
.

Rotimi ➡ Ebinoluwa.. Calm down. You once told me that everything that happens is destined to happen. Just have faith.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ What do you know about faith?
.

Rotimi ➡ Nothing really but you do. Just know that whatever happens, I’ll always be by your side.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Even if we’re to die?
.

Rotimi ➡ Well, I’d rather die with you than to die alone.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You can’t be serious.
.

Rotimi ➡ I’m dead right serious. I love you.
.

Despite how tensed I was, Rotimi’s last words made me blush but the rascal didn’t stop there . He reached out and gave me a kiss wrapping his hands about my b-tt. For a while, I was turned on by his approach but before long, I realized something and halted our romantic moment before it intense.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Stop.. Stop.
.

Rotimi ➡ What?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Can’t you see that we’re in a church?
.

Rotimi ➡ So?
..

Ebinoluwa ➡ It’s wrong for us to be kissing.

Rotimi ➡ But you once told me that some couples kiss during their wedding.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Of course. Only married people are allowed to kiss. Anything besides that is a sin.

Rotimi ➡ Oh.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Let’s just forget about this whole conversation. I need to pray for a while. Care to join me?

Rotimi ➡ No thanks. I’ll take a seat and wait until you’re done.

What a night this turned out to be. I never expected that my date with Ebinoluwa would end like this but I must say, it was quite an adventure. After the wild drama had ended, I sat on one of the benches in the church watching as Ebinoluwa prayed silently. I still couldn’t believe that despite having witch blood running through her veins, her belief in the Christian faith was still strong. However, that won’t do any good to her cause I heard that the more sinister witches get, the more powerful they become. Besides my own case is no different from hers, I can’t access my full potential until I’ve given up my human. I’d say Ebinoluwa and I are similar in this case.

As once as Ebinoluwa was done praying, she tidied up the church a little bit with magic before we both departed from the place. Within a matter of seconds, we reached her home by using teleportation. I wished we could have walked but Ebinoluwa had to rush so as to check on her brother and foster sister. As we made our way into the house, Ebinoluwa was glad when she saw everyone was okay but they too had witnessed something strange.

Morenike ➡ Ebi.. Thank God, you’re safe.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yeah. Hello Chris.
.

Chris ➡ Hi Ebinoluwa, I’m pretty sure you and bros here saw the falling flames.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yeah but that wasn’t the only thing we saw. One of our former classmates is now in cahoots with the dark side.
.

Morenike ➡ Are you talking about Mimi?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yes. She was desecrating churches while the rain of fire was falling.
.

Morenike ➡ Wait o. Are you saying that she was out in the open during that time and nothing happened to here?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ She was being protected by some charm. We even saw the mermaid that attacked mom and dad. I nearly killed her.
.

Morenike ➡ Ebinoluwa, that was risky. You could have at least call for help.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ There was no need for that. I handled the b-tch by myself. Rotimi helped out as well.

Chris ➡ So what now? I thought you guys said we were going on a hunt.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Yeah.. Junior and hadiza had managed to kill one.
.

Rotimi ➡ the ones that remain now are my father, the witch in the south and lastly Xeira. That mermaid will be a hard to kill. I’m sure she will show up sooner or later.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I believe so. Let’s summon the others and plan on the next hunt. By the way, where’s Junior?
.

Morenike ➡ He’s upstairs in his room.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I hope he didn’t give you guys any trouble?
.

Morenike ➡ Well, he was less stubborn than usual.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I’m even surprised that he hasn’t dashed off to Hadiza. I’ve never seen a male as smitten as him.

Rotimi ➡ Alright everyone, I’ll be heading home now. Good night.

Morenike ➡ Good night.
.

Chris ➡ Good night.

After wishing everyone a good night, I left Ebinoluwa’s house and began to walk away heading straight to the lounge but before I could get far, Ebinoluwa appeared by my side.

Rotimi ➡ Babe, what’s up?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Well, you didn’t think I’d let you walk alone, did you?
.

Rotimi ➡ Thanks I can manage.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Are you saying you don’t need my company?
.

Rotimi ➡ No.. I’m just saying you don’t have to stress yourself. You’ve had a busy night and you need to rest.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I don’t believe you. I bet there’s some lady you want to see.
.

Rotimi ➡ What!? No. Why would I do that?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ That’s what all men say.
.

Here we go again. Why is that women are so complicated? I was thinking that Lola was the only one with this sentimentality but it seems like Ebinoluwa is no different. Why would she think that I’m seeing someone behind her? What even gave her that impression?
.

Rotimi ➡ Babe look, I love you with all my heart and I swear to you that you’re the only one I cherish above all else.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ As if I care.
.

Rotimi ➡ Come on, don’t be mean. You know that I mean every word I say. I love you.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Oh what the heck . Kiss me.

This girl !! She’s full of surprises but I’m starting to figure her out now. To be honest, I’m totally surprised by how fast things went between us tonight. I wasn’t expecting Ebinoluwa to be this naughty but I’m glad she is. There are lot of ladies who like to be the ones holding the reins especially when it comes to relationships. They’re those kind of women that like to control the wheels and Ebinoluwa is like those women.
At first, I thought Ebinoluwa was just nervous and shy but I think she just likes to be the boss. She want to decide things on her own terms and it that’s what it takes to pop her cherry then so be it.
After hearing Ebinoluwa’s request, I wrapped my right hand around her waist and pulled her close to me giving her a lustful kiss. We kissed wildly for quite a long time and while we did that, our hands were busy caressing each other’s bodies. Moments later, we even stopped and cuddled ourselves in each other’s arms.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Thanks.

Rotimi ➡ For what?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Nothing (giggles).
.

Rotimi ➡ Well, I have to go now.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ No.. Don’t go.

Rotimi ➡ You want me to stay?

Ebinoluwa ➡ (nods)

I smiled as I noticed how serious Ebinoluwa was, I tightened my grip around her waist and shared a kiss with her once more before we both walked away slowly heading towards the Iroko tree in the forest.

That Ebinoluwa…. She’s one formidable foe. She may not be as experienced as Evlyn but she’s definitely ruthless. How I wish could to kill her but that won’t be possible but although I can make her suffer and I’m going to do whatever it takes to accomplish that.
After arriving at Evlyn’s fortress, I made my way in dragging the worthless human with me. I should have left her to die but doing that would only make this mistress mad since the little b-tch is her plaything. Immediately I reached Evlyn’s chamber, there she was beheading under-aged girls, she drained all their bloods from their bodies and gathered it all in one spot using some kind of spell. It’s pretty obvious that she was trying to use some kind of dark sorcery.
Before I could get closer to her, Evlyn turned towards my direction and stared at me. Although the expression on her face was as cold as ice, her long stare was enough to tell she was surprise by the state I was in.

Evlyn ➡ I must say that I’m surprised to see you like this. Who may I ask roughed you up like this?
.

I said nothing but stared at Evlyn with an angry look on my face. She stared at me for a while and then smiled instantly and before long a wicked laugh escaped her mouth.

Evlyn ➡ (laughs) Well, well, well. It seems that you had a rough night. That Ebinoluwa is intriguing. I fancy her. She has what it takes to be like me but something is holding her back.
.

Xeira ➡ With all due respect, I want to make that b-tch suffer. She has to pay.
.

Evlyn ➡ Stay away from her. If you cross paths again, I’m certain she will kill you. She’s now mine. I would like to see how powerful she is.
.

Xeira ➡ She’s our enemy.
.

Evlyn ➡ For now. I would like her to join us. She reeks of pure innocence and I would like to corrupt her and make her turn into one of us but that’s for another time. Go rest and heal, I would you to go on a mission.

Xeira ➡ Iyunloye told me about it. You want to summon those that will join us.
.

Evlyn ➡ Only the strong.
.

Xeira ➡ And what if they refuse?
.

Evlyn ➡ Kill them. Kill them all.
