∆ THREE DAYS LATER ∆

“This is so frustrating” Francis said as he threw up his feet in anger.

“Why? Because she hasn’t called you?” Nicholas asked munching on his snacks.

“Yes. It’s been three days since she called me and it’s been three days since I last saw her ” Francis said still looking angry.

“She wouldn’t even let me read her thoughts ” he murmured making sure Nicholas didn’t hear.

“Stop whining,you already know that they have an ongoing test, she’s probably busy with that and that’s why she hasn’t called you and besides Mirabel hasn’t called me in three days and am not complaining” Nicholas said to Francis who gave the thought a second consideration.

“Am really whining?” Francis asked Nicholas who nodded in reply.

“Of course you are and…..the test will finish today. Infact in a few minutes time, they will be done, we can go and see them then ” Nicholas said earning a smile from Francis.

“Then let’s go wait for them, I don’t want to miss her if she comes out” Francis said getting off the couch while Nicholas followed.

He stared at his phone and saw that the message he sent to Mirabel was read but she never gave him a reply which got him wondering if she’s avoiding him, he would have to speak to her.

“Finally we are done” Mirabel said as she and Joanna left the class.

“It’s been a hectic three days but I hope our effort pays off” Joanna said feeling worried about her result.

“Stop! We’ve had three days studying in the library, not having a bit of time for ourselves just for the test and now that it’s over, let’s not think about it again. It’s time to liven up” Mirabel said shaking Joanna slightly.

“I agree with your friend Jo” Alice said behind them suddenly.

“Hey! What are you doing here” Joanna asked as she went to hug her.

“Have been feeling bored at home and so I decided to come look for you in school, it’s been three days since you came home” Alice said.

“That’s due to the test we just finished, we’ve been at school studying for it” Mirabel explained just as Joanna introduce them both to each other.

“Now girls! Since you are done with your test and all. Why don’t we party a bit?” Alice asked.

“You see while coming here, I saw a karaoke bar just along the…..” Alice was caught off abruptly when a girl dressed in a tight fitting red gown which brought out most of her assets approach the three of them.

“Hello” The girl greeted while they replied starring at her tight fitting outfit.

“Am Linda and I just arrived here today, I sort of got lost. If you don’t mind can you tell me the way to the principal office?” Linda asked and though the three of them were still distracted by her daring outfit, Joanna manage to direct her.

“Thanks,I owe you one” she said winking at them before sauntering off shaking her large @ss which got most of the male students watching.

“That girl is pure temptation, she might take away your boyfriend if you aren’t careful” Alice said as they walk of the school premises.

“Well I don’t have a boyfriend to protect but she does” Mirabel said.

“My Francis wouldn’t look at someone else” Joanna said smiling slowly.

“Woah ……your Francis” Mirabel and Alice both cooed together.

Just at that moment a car stop in front of them and Pierce got out of it.

After the hospital incident, she hasn’t seen him and she’s sure that he is only making way towards them so he can tal to her.

“Hello” he greeted starring at her.

“Were you hurt, Pierce?” Mirabel asked starring at his arm which was now wrap up in a bandage.

“It’s just a Minor injury and….”

“And how on earth do you guys know this jerk!” Alice asked suddenly which brought Pierce gaze on her.

“Ungrateful wretch” Pierce said surprised at seeing her again.

“Don’t call me that!” Alice yelled at him.

“But you called me a jerk” Pierce return folding his arms.

“Now hold on a sec? How do you two know each other?” Joanna asked.

“Well I met him at the hospital while trying to get away from some people but that’s not the point here….don’t tell me that this jerk is studying here?” Alice asked.

“He is” Joanna replied.

“Sorry but this jerk has you put it have got some thing to talk to her about” Pierce said starring at Joanna.

“Sorry dude! But find some other time to talk to her, as you can see we were on our way to somewhere in particular before you showed up” Alice said taking hold of Joanna hand.

“Where exactly are you going?” Pierce asked.

“To the Karaoke bar down the road, let’s talk some other time” Joanna said as Alice hailed a taxi and the three of them got into it.

Pierce was still watching them leave when he saw Nicholas and Francis approaching him.

“Did you perhaps see Joanna and Mirabel? ” Nicholas asked.

“Well they just left for the karaoke down the road” Pierce replied.

“And what exactly are they going there for?” Francis asked.

“To relax and have fun. It’s only right that they do it cause they’ve been studying for the past three days and what’s more right is that we join them” Nicholas suggested and when his friends didn’t bother to give a reply, he stared at them both only to see them glaring at each other.

“Are you both still ignoring each other?” Nicholas ask suddenly bringing their attention on him.

“Well I suggest you should talk it out now, you both aren’t kids anymore” Nicholas added leaving them to do the talking.

“How’s your arm?” Francis asked starting the conversation.

“Getting better and how are things with you?” Pierce asked.

“Fine” Francis replied.

“What I did back at the hosp….”

“Joanna and I are dating” Francis said cutting him off abruptly.

“Really?” Pierce asked.

“Yes. To be sincere Joanna had approach me cause she wanted my help in winning your heart and I agreed to help but then I fell for her. When you ignored her feelings and went after Jocelyn I felt like beating you to a pulp and Joanna kept on believing that you will some how notice her, she was ecstatic when you asked her out but then it had only been a lie on your side” Francis said.

“What am trying to say now is that you lost your chance. She loved you too early but you realized your feelings too late”

“I did” Pierce said looking a bit down.

“Am glad you acknowledge that. I really love Joanna and I don’t want us both to fight, I hope you keep that in mind” Francis said as he went to join Nicholas who was talking to Theo on the phone.

“You don’t mind if I come with you guys right?” Pierce ask as he went to join the both of them.

Theo was about getting into his car so he could go and join his friends at the karaoke bar when Linda walk past him.

Being a lover of girls who often showcase their assets, Theo quickly went to her.

“Would you like to get a lift in my car?” Theo asked and Linda who have been waiting for him to say that stared at him.

“Really? I wouldn’t like to be a bother” Linda said with a seductive smile on her face.

“You will never be a bother to me, so just say yes” Theo said using his most charming manner with her.

She nodded slowly and as soon as she was inside his car, he got into the passenger seat and would have drove off if Evelyn and Jessica hadn’t chosen that moment to show up.

“What the hell?” Theo yelled out.

“We know you are going to meet Francis and the others and so we want to come along too” Evelyn said.

“Can’t you see am currently with someone?” Theo asked as their gaze was fixed on Linda.

“Oh, the new student. Am sure she won’t mind us, right love?” Jessica asked.

“I don’t and besides I don’t mind going with you to where your friends are” Linda said.

“That says it all. Now drive Theo” Evelyn ordered and after he glared at her, Theo finally drove off.

∆ KARAOKE BAR ∆

“It’s time to………….party!” Alice said holding a mic while dancing to a music being played off through the speakers.

“This is crazy! Where on earth did you get the money to book a whole Karaoke room?” Joanna asked.

“My savings” Alice said using the mic.

“But you can’t spend your savings in this manner and besides you….”

“Enough mom. Money is meant to be spent no matter how long you save it , it will still be spent and so have decided to spend my money on this. So stop worrying and just have fun? What do you think Mirabel?” Alice ask starring at Mirabel.

“Well I think Joanna is……wrong! You are definitely right Alice, money is meant to be spent….so let’s have a lot of fun today” Mirabel said.

“I think am beginning to love you” Alice said bumping her fist with Mirabel.

“Let’s have fun today Joanna, we’ve been stuck in Class and Library for the past three days” Mirabel said and after thinking about it, Joanna finally agreed.

A Justin Bieber song began to play and the three of them pick up their mic, singing and dancing to it.

Joanna and Mirabel were so caught up in the fun that they didn’t notice Francis, Nicholas and Pierce who stood at the doorway starring at them.

“Seems like we have a guest” Alice said with the mic which got the two girls starring at the door way.

“Having fun without us?” Francis asked moving towards Joanna.

“Well I….” She paused when he took hold of her hand and led her to the seat.

Mirabel who had also gone quiet after seeing Nicholas was led to the seat by him while Pierce went to take his seat.

“So apart from knowing this Jerk! This is my first time meeting you two, though have been told a lot of stories about you” Alice said to Francis while referring to Pierce as the jerk.

“Well am Alice, Joanna’s cousin” Alice said introducing herself.

“And am Nicholas”

“Francis”

“He sure is handsome” Alice said giving Joanna a wink.

Just then two waiter came into the room with a tray loaded with foods and drinks.

“I didn’t order that, you must be mistaken” Alice said

“I did. What’s the essence of having fun without eating some thing ” Nicholas replied tightening his hold on Mirabel hand when she tried to pull away.

“Am glad we have the same mind set, you and I are surely gonna be best of friends ” Alice said bumping her fist with Nicholas before going back to sing while Pierce thought her crazy.

∆ BUS STATION ∆

While waiting for the bus to arrive, Jocelyn stared at the recent picture of Nicholas on Instagram.

They were all having fun at a karaoke bar and didn’t even bother to invite her.

“Cruel people” she muttered.

Well they have every right not to call her since she behaved badly with every one of them.

Francis ignored her, Pierce wouldn’t pick her call and Nicholas was just busy with his own thing and there is Joanna.

Remembering the warm way Joanna had welcome her while she only had bad intentions towards her made her feel guilty.

Sighing gently, she look up to see a guy starring at her.

Another stupid admirer, she thought as she stood up to leave before he approach her but her move was cut short when he got to her.

“Hello, I would….”,

“I don’t give out my number” Jocelyn said.

“What?” Kylie ask startled by her reply.

“And besides you don’t approach a girl like that, you look lame” Jocelyn added before walking off leaving Kylie dumb founded.

“I was only gonna ask for Direction” he muttered.

After Alice left home, he felt bored too and came out in search of her and Joanna but then he got lost and decided to ask for Direction from her only to…..

“She’s a total psycho, a complete one” He said before going through the other route.

∆ KARAOKE BAR ∆

“Don’t you have some thing to say to me?” Francis asked starring at Joanna who sat primly at his side.

“No, do you?” She asked.

“Really? I told you that being apart from you is like taking away a part of me and while I missed you like crazy for the past three days, you didn’t even bother to call me” He said softly which earned him a smile from Joanna.

“Don’t try to get out of it by smiling beautifully like that” He added.

“I missed you, I really did but with the busy schedule and all, I just didn’t have the chance to call you” Joanna said which some how soothe his anger.

“Please don’t be angry, I was gonna come visit you at the apartment to make up for the past three days” she added when he said nothing.

“Then let’s go now” he said wanting to get up but she pulled him back.

“We can’t leave” she said softly.

“Why? I wanna kiss you” he whispered earning a chuckle from her.

“And I want to do the same but we will have to wait” she said to him.

“Fine then, only one more hour and then we are out of here” Francis said taking hold of her hand under the table.

“Spill it, just what is wrong? Why have you been avoiding me?” Nicholas asked Mirabel who has been quiet.

“Nothing” she answered remembering what Jessica told her.

“Stop lying to me, I know some thing is bothering you and I hope you can open up and tell me about it” He said.

“Who are these?” Alice who had been singing said just as Theo walk into the bar with Linda, Jessica and Evelyn.

“Hello Everyone” Theo greeted in excitement.

And while Linda and Evelyn had their gaze on Joanna and Francis, Jessica was starring at Nicholas and Mirabel.

” It’s best you ask her about it” Mirabel said referring to Jessica even as she succeed in pulling her hand out of Nicholas hold.
