GOLDEN RESTAURANT*

” I think it’s high time we break up” he said and her face hærdened immediately.

She folded her her hands under her b-obs and leaned on the chair comfortably staring keenly at him.

‘ it seems he doesn’t know what he’s doing’ she thought.

” I don’t get you, what do you mean?” She asked with a feign smile plastered on her face.

Her heart beat has become rapid and one could tell she was extremely angry. She had a smiley face on trying to surpress her anger.

” I don’t want to beat around the bush Tasha, let’s break up?” He said and she scoffed.

” Why?”

” Because I can’t keep going, I’ve had it up to here” he said staring directly into her eyes.

” Why? But I love you, I love you a lot Josh. Is there something wrong? We could sort it out.” she said as she sat upright holding his hand he placed on the table.

He slipped his hands off her grip and car-ss hers slowly.

” You deserve better Tasha, you deserve a man who loves you” he said still staring at her in the eyes.

They were sharing eye contacts and Tasha could break down any minute if he would say another word. She removed her hands from his grip as she placed them on her thighs.

” So, you don’t love me?” She asked in a trembling voice.

Josh inhaled deeply as he brushed his hair backwards. He wanted to say something when she cut him off sharply.

” You really have a great way to break up with someone you know? You just ruined my appetite” she said and inhaled deeply before she continued.

” Anyways, I forgive you. Let’s just eat ok? I will try to eat even if you’ve ruined my appetite.”

She carried her cutleries and started to dig in. Josh was just staring at her with a blank expression, he wasn’t hungry so he’s not eating. He badly wants to tell her he doesn’t love her but he doesn’t want to hurt her.

A tear dropped down her face and she cleaned it immediately. She was really fighting the urge not to cry. After few minutes of silence she looked looked at him, staring intently at him.

” You know you can’t break up with me right? You can only breakup with me until I call the shot!.” She said sternly. ” After all, am your insurance and you don’t want to make the wrong decision do you?”

Josh knew where she was heading to already and he sighed softly. Does she really have to say that? Why is she so obsessed with him?

Josh moved forward and car-ssed her face slowly. He smiled lightly as he tucked his hair behind her ear.

” I was just joking ok? It was all s test?” He said.

He knew what he was doing, it’s best this way. He just needs to keep going with her. It will all end soon.

” Really? So I passed the test right?” She asked staring intently at him.

He sat comfortably on the chair and moved his head backwards again before facing her.

” Yeah, I was thinking you will walk out when I told you we should break up… But I proved me wrong… So you passed the test” he said and she smiled widely.

” Am glad it wasn’t real”

” Yeah, me too, let’s eat am hungry” he said and she chuckled before concentrating on her food.

NICOLE’S RESIDENCE*

The front door creaked open and Nicole who was working on some doc-ments, diverted her gaze to the door.

It was her little brother and she smiled. She’s been busy lately and barely have time for him. She hates it but she just needs to work in order to put food on their table.

Since their parents died things has been hærd but everything turned out fine, when she started working in the *LUCAS’S EMPIRE*

Being the secretary to the ceo of *LUCAS’S EMPIRE* her salary is more than enough for them. But there are still expenses she needed to take care of that’s why she’s working her a*s out.

” Good evening big sis” Jace greeted rushing upstairs.

” Wait!” She said and he halted on his track. His heart beat was going fast than it’s usual rate. He knew he was dead already and his sister won’t take it lightly.

” Sis am tired, today was very hectic and I need to rest please.” He said and started walking up stairs.

She rushed to him and held him by the arm, she turned him towards her direction and she gasped by what she saw.

” What happened to your face Jace?” She asked and he bit his lower l-ips.

” Sis am fine, it’s nothing serious ok?”

” Seriously?” She scoffed and asked

” Who did you get into a fight with?”

Josh just rolled his eyes secretly, even though she knows who fought with him, there’s nothing she can do. The morris family have lots of power and can trample on anyone they want.

” Sis, I promise not to fight anymore, am sorry” he said as he placed his hand on his chest. She sighed and ruffled his hair lightly.

” Alright, go freshen up and come down for dinner” she said and he rushed upstairs immediately.

HOUSE PARTY*

She dropped the food and the guy paid her. She was on her way out when the guy grabbed her from behind.

She gasped and tried pulling from his grip but it was too tight.

By this time the crowd in the room has started shouting.

👥 Yeah, way to go Alex, grab that soft butt.

👥 You are going to get laid and you will enjoy it a lot.

👥 He’s the best when it comes to s*x, trust me you will enjoy it.

She felt disgusted by their comments and she immediately stepped on his toe.

He gro-ned as he let go off her, he held his legs and was so fury. He tried coming forward when she carried a knife on a table pointing at him.

” If you come close, I will kill you, am damn serious!” She said and he moved backwards in fear as he surrendered his hands.

She moved cautiously and walked out of the house. Immediately she got out she breathed out as she held her chest tightly. She touched her pocket and smiled, seeing that the money was there, she was happy.

” That was close.” She muttered. Her breathing was unsteady.

She looked at her hand and realized that she was still holding the knife.

She threw it into a trash can and started heading to the main road. She flagged down a taxi and entered.

She told the driver her destination and he replied with a nod and sped off.

Asha got down from the taxi and payed the driver off.

She walked over to Vivian’s door and placed a knock on it. After a while Vivian shower up at the door, she was smiling widely.

” Good evening Vivian, am so sorry am late.” Asha apologised and vivian chuckled.

” It’s ok Asha, I understand, come in,side.” Vivian replied.

Asha entered into Vivian’s house and was staring around around the house widely, her eyes almost popped out of it’s socket while her mouth was slightly open. She looked at the curtains and mouthed a ” wow” the house was so breath taking.

” Your house Is beautiful, very beautiful.” Asha said with a smile. She was still staring widely as she sat comfortably on the chair.

” Thank you, I will be right back.” She said and left almost immediately.

After few minutes, Vivian returned to the living with Tara.

” Mommy!” Tara scre-med immediately she sighted her mom sitting on one of the chairs. Asha stood up and Tara rushed to hug her.

She squatted to Tara’s level as she brushed her hair back, staring at her with a smile.

” Am sorry I couldn’t come earlier, work kept me busy.” She said and her mind flew back to what happened at the party house.

Had it been she knows she was going to deliver food at a party house, she wouldn’t have gone there.

She had a painful experience about clubs and she didn’t want to think about it.

” Don’t worry mommy, aunt Vivian took care of me. She brought me so many sweet things, look she brought me rainbow candy.” Tara showed her the sweet and she smiled.

Tara has always wanted the rainbow candy but Asha couldn’t get it for her, whenever she wants to buy it…she will use the money for something else.

Asha stood up and Tara grabbed her hand, she smiled before facing vivian.

” Thank you so much Vivian, I really appreciate.”

” It’s ok Asha, You’ve got a very sharp and beautiful daughter, I enjoyed her company a lot. So thank you.” Vivian said and Asha smiled.

Asha got home and was surprised seeing her luggages outside. She tried opening the door of her apartment and found out it’s locked.

By this time Tara has been rubbing her eyes sleepily.

” Mommy, isn’t the door opening?” She asked as she yawned a little. ” Am feeling sleepy.”

Asha knew Tara was feeling very sleepy, after all it’s past her bed time.

” Darling, am coming, I will open the door ok?” She said and Tara replied with a nod still rubbing her eyes.

She walked straight to the landlord’s apartment and started banging on it.

The landlord opened the door and she stepped back, she was fuming in anger already. But she’s trying to keep her cool, otherwise he won’t let her in.

” Why would you… knock on my….door that loud Asha? Do you want….die?” The landlord said, the excessive alcohol content in his brain slurring his words. His protruding belly was a testimony to the power of the cheap in his hand.

Asha shook her head sideways, seeing this man alone irritated her and she pitied the woman who was his wife, but that isn’t get problem anyways.

” Sir, why are my lauggages outside?” She asked making the man chuckle.

He belched loudly as the smell of alcohol filled the air, he took another large content of alcohol before facing Asha.

” You are owing me Asha, for six months now and you won’t get into that house until you pay me!” He yelled and Asha knelt down immediately.

” Sir, I promise to pay you next week, please just let me and my daughter in… she’s feeling very sleepy and it’s late.” Asha said fighting back her tears.

It was late already and they have no where else to go… walking on that street of theirs is very dangerous especially at night. She has heard of so many rape cases and didn’t want to be a victim.

” You are beautiful Asha, go find a rich guy and satisfy him, am sure you will get paid handsomely.” He said and she shook her head sideways, the tears she’s been fighting back started pouring out of her eyes.

” Sir please, I beg of…” He closed the door in a loud cutting her off. She cried bitterly still on her knees.

Tara walked to her and cleaned her face, she looked up to her daughter and hugged her tightly.

Her daughter is the only thing that gives her joy. She’s always planned to commit sucide but she will always stop thinking of her daughter. Not because she’s scared of dying but because she’s scared to leave her daughter alone in this cruel world.

THE LUCAS’S EMPIRE*

Working in the morning has always been stressful for Camdan. But most times he’s saved from those stress all thanks his secretary Nicole.

She is always ready to assist him, whenever he needed assistance and does her job perfectly.

But today was different, he did all the signing by himself because Nicole was around. He missed her but he would never admit it.

He rubbed his temple tiredly as a migraine struck him hærd and he gro-ned silently.

He walked over to his safe, as he entered his password and the safe opened revealing lots of drugs.

He brought out an aspirin as was about closing the safe when his eyes met with a particular drug, he sighed deeply before closing the safe.

After taking the aspirin, he sat on the chair relaxing his nerves when the words of Josh played in his head.

” Why do you want me to leave?!” He yelled. ” Tell me, why do you hate me so much?!. I know your mom hates me and I thought yours will be different….but no…I was wrong.”

” No! Talk to me…f**king tell me why you hate me!” He yelled.

Camdan gro-ned as he roughed his hair. He unbottened his shirt a little and stood in front of his office window viewing the city.

” What is wrong with me?” He muttered.

GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL*

The first duration was over, when prudent sighted Jace standing at the hallway taking something from his locker.

She quickly left her the class and walked over to him.

She tapped him on his shoulder and he turned to her immediately. She saw his face that it was still bruised and she bit her bottom l-ips hærd.

” What do you want?” He asked causing shivers down her spine. Even though his face was injured he still looked handsome.

“Well, I just wanted to check on you, your face is badly….” She was saying as she wanted to touch his face but he moved his face to the other side and she ended up touching nothing.

” Look, prudent or whatever your name is…I don’t want trouble…I don’t even know when we became friends.” He said and flunged his bag pack on his shoulder and added.

” Just stay away from me please, I don’t need another beating from your brother.” With that he said and walked out.

Prudent held her chest as it hurts badly, she couldn’t believe he shunned her like that. It was all because of her brother.

” That assh-le.” She muttered.

Allison walked up to her as she sang out loud.

” We are the lovesick girls, we are the love sick girlssssss!!!” She scre-med and Prudent turned to her.

” Keep it down”

” Whatever.” Ally rolled her eyes and added

” You like Jace right?” She asked.

” F**k off Ally.” Prudent said and walked out. Ally chuckled as she followed suite.
