i woke up in the morning with an urgent urge to puke. I quickly stood up and ran to the toilet, I bent my head into the basin and I threw up. I was felling a slight headache, I rinsed my face and looked into the mirror right ontop of the basin.
I remembered what happened yesterday with dad, I scoffed and went into my room. I looked at myself and saw the shirt I wore last night was not on me. Did I remove it?? I thought. Then I remembered that Mara came in while I was drinking.
Oh no, I cried before her I said hitting my head as I remembered when I was crying in her presence yesterday. I looked at my hand and I saw a plaster on my hand. I raised my head in frustration remembering how I broke the cup yesterday.
Oh God, why did she come to the room, and now am sure he will make jest of me after all the drama I did yesternight. I remembered I said something’s to her but I couldn’t remember.
I was still racking my brain trying to remember when someone knocked on the door, who is that? I asked in frustration. It is liam sir, I came to tell you it will soon be 8am he said. Oh shit!! Thank you I said and ran to the toilet to prepare.
💓Mara’s POV💓
I woke up early the next morning, I got out from bed and quickly went to prepare yo the days work. I looked at my schedule, and moved out hoping i would see Christian Stone and ask how he is faring.
I got out to the sitting room, I looked at the boss’s door and noticed it was closed.
I turned to look at Liam own and saw it was locked too. I don’t think they are at home. Today is Monday I am sure they have left for work.
This will be a very good opportunity to invite Cindy over since I am the only one around. I finished all my chores on time and went back to my room.
I picked up my phone and sailed Cindy’s number. She picked up at the third ring.

📲 That’s nice Mara, now you can enjoy yourself and the house well before they are back.

I hung up and sent the address to her immediately, I can’t wait for her to get here. I miss her so much and I can’t wait to tell her about Christian Stone and Liam I thought happily.

After Mara’s boss gave me some money, I had started searching for a new shop close to our house. I got one yesterday at an affordable price, I bought some groceries just like how I sell them before.
Now today I am going to pack the goods into the shop, I left for the shop very early. I carried the some of the groceries in,side two big bags and carried them to the shop. It wasn’t far from the house do I trekked.
I was getting tired on every step I took, I started sweeting profusely. It’s so heavy I muttered, I felt someone tap me from behind. I looked back to see a young handsome guy.
Madam let me help you with the luggages, you seen so stressed out. He collected the bags from me before I could talk, he looked at me and smiled, where are you heading to?
Thank you so much, I am going to the third shop at the right I said pointing at the place. Okay, shall we he said and I nodded as we both walked to the shop.
We got to the shop and I opened the door, we went into the shop and dropped it on the table, Madam do you have any other thing I can help you with?? He asked dusting his palm.
No thank you, you have done more than enough, I will take it up from here I said and smiled at him. Okay ma, I will take my leave now, I nodded and he left. I never thought their were still good people in this world I thought and started arranging the shop.

I saw Mara’s mother carrying some luggages and an idea dropped in my head. I moved up to her and helped her carry her bags. I carried them to her shop after confirming she wasn’t going to need help.
I left her shop and walked home, I need to gain her mothers love and attention and once I do this, I will talk to her about my feelings for Mara. She won’t be able to not see me as a good son in-law to her.
I will continue helping her in her shop and she once I talk to her she won’t have any choice but to talk to Mara about me and I know Mara would never reject her mothers opinion.
Then I will marry Mara and we will have kids I thought and laughed out in satisfaction. Mara is mine and mine alone.

Throughout the meetings, I couldn’t take Mara off my mind, her picture kept showing in my head, only heaven knows what I said to her yesterday.
It is so embarrassing, I would pretend like I can’t remember what happened yesterday if at sl she brings up the topic, since I was drunk she would believe me.
Boss this are the doc-ments you asked to bring Jake said coming into my office, Oh thank you Jake you can place it on the table and take you leave.
He did so and was about to leave when I stopped him again. Jake, did you see Mara come into my room yesterday? I asked feeling kind of embarrassed.
Yes sir he said coldly, Then why didn’t you stop her?? I asked in frustration.
Boss, she insisted that she mets you sir he replied with a kinda angry face. And why was her reason?? I asked again.
She didn’t say he said impatiently. What is wrong with him, You may go I said and he left immediately. Since we have gotten to the company Liam has been behaving strange.
He doesn’t want to talk to me, he has been acting so coldly. Is he hiding something from me??
