“Then believe me, your nose is getting broken soon” I threatened with clench teeth as i walk towards him.
He stand properly with his hand in his pocket as we both glare hærd at each other.
“I hate repeating myself Jason, where’s the girl?” I asked calmly and he laugh.
“You are very funny bro” he nudge my chest still smiling.
“You can’t just come into my house and order me around, she belongs to me Rodney so stay off” he snorted and I smile before I adjusted my collar.
I really don’t have the strength to fight him today, I should just go get her myself.
I brushed my arm past his to climb the stairs since we are so close to it only for him to dragged me by my collar and I couldn’t help it any longer.
I threw a blow to his face and he landed on the floor.

He gro-ned inwardly and struggle to stand on his feet.
He charged towards me but I was so quick to dodge it; I grabbed his hair and threw him to the floor again.
He made to stand up again but I pinned him down so I can teach him some lesson.
“That’s enough” I heard behind me and we both turned to the same direction.
“Tamara” I mumbled as I slowly let go of his arm and stand on my feet.
“Why are you being like this?” She asked calmly and I breath out.
“Why are you always being difficult on each other?” She asked again and I glance beside me only to caught Jason glaring at me.
He really wants to die.
“Please I don’t know what the differences might be, but you guys should settle it already” she tutors as she comes to us.
“Please” she added rubbing her palms together with her cute puppy eyes and I let out a small smile.
“I’m so glad you are okay” I told her and she smile.
“All thanks to Jason” she says and I resist the urge to roll my eyes.
I wonder how he got manage to know the kidnappers location.
“So we are leaving now” I announced as I take in her hand and she face Jason.
She slowly remove her hand from mine and move closer to Jason and smile at him.
“I knew from the day I met you that you are a good person” she started and I scoffed as I folded my arms.
Good person; really?
“Moments with you are always awesome; even though you are a big jerk” she pointed out and they both laughed.

“I know I can’t convince you to stay with me, I mean you have always loved him before you met him right?” Jason teases as he pointed a finger to me and Tamara look away shyly.
“Quit that will you? It doesn’t suit you”I scold him and he shot me a glare which made Tamara laughs.
Must she always laugh in his presence?
“You should take care of yourself huh” he told her and slowly pull her into a hug.
“That’s enough hugging;we should leave” I announced and they both pull apart and Jason rolled his eyes.
Whatever.
We got to the entrance door and Tamara stopped walking; she look behind him and wave at Jason again.
I rolled my eyes and took her hand.

I drive slowly on the highway and I could feel her eyes on me since we have left Jason’s house.
I glance at her on the passenger seat and caught her staring at me
“What?” I asked with a grim expression and she laughed.
What funny?
“Don’t tell me you are jealous of your own brother?” She smirks and I fight the urge to laugh right now as I face the road.
“Awww…you look cute when you are jealous you know”she teases as she pulled my cheek playfully.
“I’m not smiling with you” I stated ;feingning an angry look.
Huh?
“Then take the next turn, I want to go back to Jason” she said with a non-smiling expression as she crossed her arms and lean into the chair.
“Then I will come kidnap you” I glance at her and she bite her bottom lip.

“Let me help you with those ma’am” one of the security at the gate offered to help me with the groceries.
“It’s not really heavy, my car is parked across the road; so I can manage” I kindly reject the offer.
“Thank you” I added with a smile and he nodded.

I adjusted the grocery bags in my hands waiting for the traffic light so I can cross.
The light turns red and I smile.
Thank goodness.
All the cars stopped at once and I quickly have my way through them.
I got to the last lane of the vehicles so I can use the pavement to cross to the other side.
I heard people sheieked and before i could register what’s going on, I was knocked down by a car.
Oh my goodness!
The groceries have their way out of my hands as I slowly landed on the floor.
I felt myself being wrapped in an arm.
I know that fragrance.
I know that smell.
It belongs to only one person.
“Mum, I am so sorry” I heard him cry with me in his arms.
Am I dreaming right now?
Lord!
I’m loosing it.
I’m loosing my strength.
With the last will in me, I slowly open my eyes.
And yes!
He’s truly my Rodney.

I heard Tamara shrieked as she place her both hands on her ears.
I look forward from her face and before I could register what’s going on, I quickly placed my legs on the brakes but it was too late as I knocked the woman down with my car.
I hurriedly out of my car with Tamara behind me and before I could caught her she landed on the floor.
I stand rooted for a while as i watch Tamara rushed to her- I beat her to it as I crouched down behind her and lift her.
“Mum” I yelled on top of my voice as I hugged her to myself.
People are gathered already as they watch the wh0le scene while some take their time to record it with their phones.
But I’m less bothered for now.
Henry would have stop them had it been he’s here.
“I’m so sorry Mum” I cried and she slightly opened her eyes
“Rodney” I heard her muttered and I nodded curtly.
She smiled widely and I also did the same;and in no seconds, she passed out.
“Someone ambulance” I yelled.

“You need to leave from here Mr Rodney” A nurse said- obstructing my way.
“That’s my mum!” I scowled at her and she cringe a little.
“C’mon Rodney” Tamara cooed behind me as she place a hand on my shoulder.
I shot the nurse a final glare and finally turned away with Tamara walking behind me.

I place my head on Tamara’s shoulder as I sob silently.
“She will be alright” She assured for the third time and I shook my head.
I lifted my head from her shoulder and look ahead blankly.
“She had been through a lot” I stated sadly.
“I just need her to open her eyes, she needs to forgive me” I bursted in tears not minding people around.

“I hope nothing bad happens to her” I pray silently as I stroke Rodney’s back; I really feel for him.
After some minutes, the wh0le place become silent and I wondered what could be the reason.
I look around slowly only to find a man walking into the reception with three men around him which I assume they’re his guards.
Rodney look up at the same time the man glance to where we are sitting.
He sprang on his feet and rushed to him.
Who’s that man?
I also stand on my feet as I watch them.
“I am so sorry Dad” I heard him say and my eyes dilated.
“Dad?” I mumbled.
“It’s not your fault son, she will be okay” his Dad consoled him as he pat his back.
He really loves his mum.
I don’t even get to meet my own mum, I don’t know how she looks like and all that.
Each time I request a picture of her from rom-n, all I received is a slap.
So I was forced to stop asking.
“Are you okay?” I was brought back by the man voice.
When did he get here?
“Good afternoon sir” I greeted him as I lowered my head and I could feel him smile.
“How are you dear?” He asked nicely.
“I’m fine si..”
“Good day to you Mr Michael” I was cut short by the Doctor’s voice.
“How’s my mum doing?”Rodney butts in before his Dad could utter any word and the Doctor smiled.
“It’s nothing serious Mr Rodney, she was not affected by the hit of the car she passed out due to her shock state; but do not worry everything is absolutely under control sir, you have nothing to worry about” the doctor explaineed and I heaved a sigh of relief and same with others.
“Can we go see her now?” Rodney asked impatiently and the doctor smile again as he motioned for us to come along.

“What’s wrong with you?!” I yelled at him as he bring his face down.
“You should have done your job before she could leave her house” I growled at him.
“I was expecting her to cross to the other side of the road so I can carry on with the job but unfortunately,she was hit by her son’s car” he defended and I huffed.
“You are a fool Patrick” I hurled at him and look away.
“Let me tell you this, if Michael gets to know I am behind her absence all those years; then believe me you will hear it from me” I said throatily and he stare at me for some seconds before looking away.
“You know me Patrick” I reminded.
“Just get out of my sight!” I yelled and he bow before leaving.
F-ck!
I hit my fist against the metal stool angrily.
What’s going to happen now?
“Margaret” I mumbled through gritted teeth.

I am having my dinner silently when my phone buzzes.
I look down at it on the table and muttered an “oh”
I dropped my cutlery and picked it before it stops ringing.
“Yes,speak” I ordered.
“Boss, he’s taking the next flight in few minutes” he announced and I dragged the chair backward as I sprang on my feet.
“Under no circ-mstances, he mustn’t get away” I instructed through clenched teeth.
“Understood?” I asked.
“Yes boss” he replied.
“Good” I mumbled and with that, I hung up.
I promise to help you Tamara, and that’s what I am doing.
