It has been almost two weeks now and Talia is looking better day by day. She is regaining her strength and is almost fully healed.
 
The only thing that seemed to be occupying my mind now was that Council meeting that was coming up in a few days.
 
“What are you thinking about?” Lia’s voice cut through my thoughts, breaking my trance.

“When will you return?” Talia asked, her voice sounding so broken.
 
“Depends” I shrugged, trying not to worry her.
 
“On what” she pressed.
 
I sighed. Not knowing how to explain my plan to her. She wouldn’t understand. Not that I’m saying she was dumb or anything but she just wouldn’t get the wh0le thing, even if I tried explaining it to her.
 
“On the outcome of the choosing of the new Council Head.”
 
She nodded, and I thanked the stars she no longer had any questions.
 
“What happens if Darrien wins?”
 
I sighed. Spoke to soon I guess!
 
“Then we will just have to pray that he really likes you as much as he claims” I said.
 
I then walked away from her, heading for my closet to get myself some clothes.
 
I picked some few t-shirts and jeans and put them into my open suitcase. I hated staying in the Council Mansion. It was a cold and unfamiliar place, even after me spending so much time there during meetings like this.
 
I closed my suitcase, then opened the door and placed it outside my room so that Remy would come and take it to the car.
 
I turned back to Talia, my mate and the love of my life. My chance to correct past mistakes.
 
She walked towards me as I stood by the door. Then she pulled me into a hug. A comforting one. One that spoke of unspoken love and desire.
 
“Don’t do anything stupid” she whispered.
 
I nodded my head but I knew I just couldn’t promise her that. I was gonna do anything and everything to protect her. Stupid things included.
 
“I won’t ” I said back to her. I pulled her back slightly then k-ssed her forehead.
 
“Make sure you keep taking your supplements and the blood” I added.

My heart clenched. I was gonna miss her more than I could ever say.
