Honestly, I thought I had seen it, everything that life has to offer both the normal and supernatural. I was strongly confident that nothing else would surprise or shock me as long as I live but I realized recently that what I’ve seen is just the beginning.

After Mom dropped the powerful lightning from the sky which decimated a quarter of the forest, the impact swept off the lioness I was chasing from the ground and banged her hard on a nearby tree. After that painful collision, the lioness became unconscious and that was when I decided to descend, change back to my real form and take a closer look at her and in that moment, I saw the unexpected. Within a blink of an eye, the lioness slowly began to change and transform, her physiology soon changed to that for a human and before long, a stunning naked lady lay before my very eyes.
I was stunned and speechless. My brain began to process what I saw and in the end, I was left with scrambled head of confusion. I had no idea what kind of being this lady was. At first, I thought she was a witch but then I realized that I too shape shift but only with magic and I don’t take too long to transform plus the lady doesn’t smell like a human at all. So in the end, I decided to do the logical thing and that was to take her home with me and find some answer about who or what she is.

Hours passed since mom was brought home. I wanted to tell Ebinoluwa about my discovery but thanks to the heat and tensions at home, I decided to wait until everything cooled down. Luckily for me, the mysterious lady hadn’t awaken since she got knocked out but in order to ensure she doesn’t bring unwanted attention or escape I decided to call my cousins to help me bind her. Helen and Sara were surprised when they learnt of my discovery, they were eager to see the mysterious lady transform once she woke up. Nevertheless, I had to make them bind her just in case.
Hours later, I decided to go to my sister’s place and inform her about my discovery. I checked the Iroko tree in case she might be there but I didn’t see her there so I teleported myself to her room to check her out.
Ebinoluwa was on her bed reading her weird dictionary sized mystical book when I appeared into the room, Morenike who was busy painting her nails suddenly got startled by my appearance.

Ebinoluwa and Morenike were stunned by what they saw, they wanted to rebuke at first for bringing them all the way out here to shoe them a naked lady but I explained everything to them before they could throw a fit.

As briefly as I could, I told my two annoying sisters everything that happened at the forest in Maiduguri. They were both speechless as they listened to what I said without interrupting me and as soon as I was done, Ebinoluwa cleared my confusion by unveiling the mystery behind the lady’s existence.

Just as Ebinoluwa was about to answer Morenike, the mysterious lady woke up from her slumber and as soon as she saw us all, she tried to free herself but Helen’s webs held her tight. After struggling for a while, the lady gave up and began to speak to us calm.

Adanna ➡ Please, let me go.

Ebinoluwa ➡ And why would we do that?

Adanna ➡ Look whatever it is that you think of me. I meant no harm.

Morenike ➡ I think you have it all wrong. We’re not going to hurt you.

In that moment, Ebinoluwa snapped her fingers and the mysterious lady was soon covered up. After that and a brief moment of silence, the lady began to tell us her story.

Adanna ➡ My name is Adanna and I come from a hidden world in the South east. My kind are not shape shifter but we’re animal people, we have the ability to transform into any living beast in this world.

Ebinoluwa ➡ So the stories are true. Do you use magic and how long has your kind been in existence?

Adanna ➡ We don’t use magic to turn. Our transformation is a natural ability but truth be told we weren’t always like this. According to the myth, our founding ancestors were cursed by a witch, she also cursed their bloodline and that’s how our kind came to me. Our kind has been in existence for a thousand years now.

Ebinoluwa ➡ and how come nobody knew of your existence?
.

Adanna ➡ We hid ourselves because we were being persecuted and hunted for humans and the likes of your kind. For 500yrs, the blood of my people unnecessarily for amusement or glory and just as we were nearly driven to extinction, we were saved.

Ebinoluwa ➡ By who?
.

Adanna ➡ A witch. She gave us sanctuary in the hidden world my people live in and since she saved us and left, nobody has see nor heard from her since then but her story is still told to this day.

Riley Jr ➡ I don’t buy this. She’s probably lying.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ No. She’s telling the truth. So he’s this fiancee of yours and what does he look like?

Adanna ➡ He’s everything like you. He’s a wizard and yoruba but he’s not from these parts.

Riley Jr ➡ Wait o.. Are you talking about Akinbilege?

Adanna ➡ How do you know his name?

Just as I was about to answer that, a white marking appeared on Adanna’s arm and in that moment everyone (except Adanna and Morenike) felt a strong magic presence behind us and as soon as we turned around, there was Akinbilege standing behind us. He looked worried but after seeing all of our faces, his face showed a sign of relief. Adanna who also saw Akinbilege was full of smiles and I couldn’t help but wonder what she was thinking?

Adanna ➡ Akin.

Akin ➡ Ada.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Hold on, you’re here fiancee?

Akin ➡ Yes. Please let her go. Adanna is not a threat.

Ebinoluwa ➡ We know. She was just telling us about her background.

Akin ➡ Adanna relax, these are my family. You’re in safe hands. Besides, how did you get here?

Adanna remained quiet for a while staring at Morenike with a vicious stare before she gave us some space and as soon as she was out of headshot, Akin began to explain everything.

Akin ➡ I apologize for Adanna, it’s just that her kind have pure hatred for humans.

Ebinoluwa ➡ She told her about her people’s history.
.

Akin ➡ Everything you heard is true. Her kind suffered a lot and the witch that saved them was your grandma.

Akin ➡ Precisely! Adanna’s people have a statue of her in their place. Aunt titi confirmed it was her sister’s image.

I wished I could have stayed and watched my sister and Solomon argue but I decided to leave and see what else I could do with my time. I wanted to spend some time with Akin but now that his woman is here, I guess three is a crowd.

After I took my leave, I decided to branch over the city of Ibadan and look for some trouble but before I could disappear, my grandma’s elder sister Aunt Titi appeared out of nowhere startling me. Titi ➡ Yes. That way is magic energy is balanced but yours is not stable at all. Anti magic and Transformation magic aren’t compatible at all. Your gift is an abnormality that will cost you great. You have magical powers that need no compatibility.

Riley Jr ➡ So what am I going to do then?

Titi ➡ I really don’t know but I’m sure you’ll figure it out in time. You’re still young and you have a lot of time ahead of you.

After that, Aunt Titi disappeared leaving to wonder about what she said. She really said some compelling things and I have to figure out how to fix this issue of mine. Now that I think of it, it makes complete sense. Anti-magic and Transformation magic doesn’t mix at all, it’s like oil and water. Something tells me that I must exchange one of my magical abilities for something to match one of them but how can I get to do? Who would have the ability to grant me what I need? Looks like I need to start looking.

Realizing how serious the ghouls were, Robin realizes that the bounty is no joke and that junior is in danger. Despite wanting to know more about where the bounty came from, Robin decided tut would be better to kill off the ghouls right here and now before they go anywhere.

Robin ➡ Okay o but how much be my share if I tell you Wetin you want?

Ghoul 2 ➡ None. Either you tell us or you die.

Immediately Robin said that, the ghouls snapped their necks without hesitation killing themselves on the spot. Shortly after that, Onuya approaches Robin looking satisfied and refreshed but after seeing the body of ghouls around him, she stares at him in awe wondering what happened.

Onuya ➡ What happened?

Robin ➡ There’s a dark cloud gathering in the horizon. We have to leave, I’ll tell you everything on the way. Too many ears around.
