“We have an idea” mom and stepmom chipped in as they came in

“what ideas did you have mom” Yash asked his mother

“Krishna, this Myra girl you are talking about why don’t you bring her home, and introduce her to your father as your girlfriend” stepmom said

“what did you just say stepmom? She married for crying out loud”

“You will ask her, if she agrees, then we’ll only introduce her, at least I heard you said she is in a forced marriage” stepmom said

“she cant agree mom just forget about that, go and rest you have be travelling all day”

I turned to sleep on my bed but they don’t seem as if they want to go

“why are you still here??

“Son, I can help you talk to her, I guess she is a nice girl”

“mom what if she doesn’t agree?? Our friendship will be jeaopardized”

“just shut up and listen to us” stepmom said and dragged mom out

Ooops…… those two, their relationship is far from co-wives, they do as if they are sisters irrespective of their tribes I wonder how dad make the two of them co-operative .

But will myra understand?? I pray so I covered myself up with the duvet and sleep off

“and how did you two know that we meet in the office?? I asked as they looked at me like little children that completed a mission successfully

“I said you are not going anywhere” Auntie blue said clutching my saree

“what is my offence this time Auntie blue?” I asked

“I asked her to prevent you from going anywhere without your vermilion” mother-in-law said

“mother-in-law I will not wear those things for a husband that doesn’t care whether I die” I replied adamantly

“lets see how leave this house today” auntie blue said

Mother-in-law used her old trick, she went inside the kitchen and took a knife and aimed it on her own neck

“I will surely kill myself if she doesn’t wear that vermilion”

I know she was just threatening me, she wouldn’t do anything of such
Panku and Parki ran out holding their mother .

“mother pls don’t this to yourself she will wear it” panku begged her mother

Mother-in-law had used this trick on me or anybody before whenever she wants any of to do her bid

“c’mon Sister-in-law Panku did I say I will wear it?? I asked sarcastically

I will pass a comedian test if I was one, but their dumb house killed my vibe but not now, I am not the old Myra to be controlled by my family-in-laws again.

“you shameless woman if anything happens to mother I will surely kill you” Parki said

Do I care?? If she dies my problems will be lessend I looked away as if I don’t care then I heard a shrill wail it was from mother-in-law she slashed her wrist with the knife

“did you see what you caused? Auntie blue asked

I freed myself from her clutches and ran to her, it was just a slight cut but blood is gushing out fast….. the cut did not even reached her internal organs

I quickly washed her wounds and put bandage on it…. Father-in-law is not even answering to their drama

We got to the office the staffs greeted me as usual and was about to resume whatever they are doing but stooped as they saw they saw the 3 people following me

“ooh sorry I haven’t introduced them… this is my mum and this is my stepmom and my junior brother yash”

“hey peeps, hope we get along well” Yash greeted them with American accent

“welcome ma’ams” they greeted

“Namaste” mom and step mother greeted them as they followed me they followed me to my office.

Lunch period is passing, Myra is not here yet I am getting tensed now, her phone is not going through

“brother where is sister-in-law why is she not here yet? Yash asked

“sister-in-law?? Stop that she is just Myra” I corrected

“yes Krishna where is she?” stepmother asked

“unmm..he…hemm…hum… she ..she… wi..”

“what happed why are you stuttering? Mum asked

Just then Kunika came in carrying a tray containing food in it …………

“Hello ma’am have I bring you lunch” Kunika greeted them with a smile

“Awwwnn…. That’s so sweet of you” mum said and was about to collect the tray from her

“stop!!” I ordered

“what happed Krishna? Came to entertain your parents and you are shouting?” she asked pitifully

“just shut up okay? If my mothers want to eat I will order for them not from you” I shunned her collecting the food from her and dropping it in the dustbin

“why Krishna, she is a staff isn’t she what’s wrong in entertaining us” stepmom asked

“stepmom you cant understand I know her better”

The day ended, Krishna and his mothers did not get to see Myra that day, Krishna was tensed her took his mothers home but left immediately he dropped them at the gate

Meanwhile NK had known about Krishna, he had caught Myra in a café talking to him before but he kept it a secret from Myra….. when Myra was locked in the storeroom he went to look for Krishna ……… but didn’t get to see him the security did not let him without better explanation on how he is related to Krishna.

Krishna drove crazily to the road where he first….. met Myra.. he was angry he knew that her auntie blue and mother-in-law is up to something he sat the bonet of his car expecting her to come like she did the first time they met…. It has been 3 weeks now and he didn’t get to see her for one day it was like he hadn’t seen her for 5years.

Just then Tiara’s call came in but he didn’t pick it

“pick your calls Mr. your ringtone is disturbing my brain” that was from NK

What is his business? Krishna asked himself but he is not in mood to argue with him right now

“yah! Are you Krishna Pandey?” NK asked again

“how did you know that? He asked
“you are the Mr. CEO causing my Sister-in-law sleepless nights? He asked

“ooh….. he is part of Myra’s family-in-law” Krishna reasoned

“yes what is your business about that? Krishna asked

“did you know she is married ? NK asked

“of course I know that she was married to some vile family” Krishna replied annoyingly

“Don’t you ever call our family vile with that bad mouth of yours, anyway I have been looking for you since morning, your Myra is in trouble” NK said in one breath

“What happened to her? Krishna asked with fear

“calm down its nothing serious she is just locked up in the storeroom for some time maybe 2weeks ” NK said

“for some time you say? He asked looking serious

“I will help you both if you can guarantee me job at your company”

“but we don’t have vacancies now??

“then forget about sister-in-law”

“okay you will get the job”

“Dad, I want to go to Lucknow hotel to check our stakeholders there, I will be going from there to work” I told dad during dinner

“why did you want to go there all of a sudden don’t you hate it here in india? Asked

“Husband, he is now adapting just let him go he may find a wife in his way there” Stepmom said

“ Did they line up girls there for him to come?? He asked

“no dad .. its jus a business trip” I replied

I packed my bag I will be leaving for my so called Lucknow tomorrow NK and I have already hatched a plan and the plan include I must leave our house for sometime

“be safe son if you don’t like it there you can come back home” mum said

“if anybody bully you just tell that you are the stepson of Karina Kapoor” Stepmom said

I will miss them both…I am just going for some time I gave them both a hug and each and everyone disperse to their rooms

My body is aching all over, the mosquitos and files in the store room is not helping matters either,

I have been locked in this hell since yesterday just because mother in law hurt herself because of me.

I was not given anything to eat throughout last night I wonder whear NK had been because if he was at home he would have sneaked some food for me this is not the first time I will be locked in here…..

This morning I took some bananas that I saw in the store room and eat them… I was still eating when Auntie Blue came to open the door…

“you are very lucky this time that we have an important guest, that’s why I open you to come and serve him” Auntie blue said with hostility in her voice

I wonder who this god sent guest was to help me get out and have fresh air.. if it was before they would have locked me there for 2 weeks at least ….. I got to the sitting room to collect the guest’s luggage and keep them in the guestroom, like I always do but to my greatest surprise I met him…… the man I have been login got see…………🤭😨😱😱
