Aliyah’s Pov:
The whole day at work I couldn’t stop thinking of my Arya.
I couldn’t get my mind off her question at the dinning this morning.
I know she deserves to know the truth but I don’t think I should tell her now.
I kept on biting my fingers.
The thought were actually killing me and I wondered what I would say if she eventually repeats that question.
This is definitely going to haunt me for sure.
“Aliyah! Have you dropped the receipt for the order?” Dora asked sitting beside me but I wasn’t even listening to her.
My eyes were fixed on the ceiling fan absentmindedly.
She kept on talking but got no response.
“Aliyahhhhhhh” She screamed on top of her voice as I flinched in shock.
“Why were you screaming?” I turned my face away with a sigh.
“I’ve been talking to you young lady but I wasn’t even getting any response” She groaned.
I shook my head.
“What were you talking about again?” I asked her as she scoffed.
“No! This isn’t the friend I know I have…. What happened girl? You don’t look ok?” She asked anxiously.
I gulped hard as I scratched my head.
“Don’t worry Dora…. I will be fine” I breathed heavily.
“What’s that supposed to mean? You are gonna be fine and so?” She feigned anger.
“Dora! Dora!!” I burst into tears as we hugged each other.

“I don’t know what to do anymore Dora” I cried out.
“You have to calm down Aliyah… I know this is hard but the child must know the truth” Dora groaned.
“I know…. But I don’t think I can do it! Listen Dora I don’t want my child to go back to my past” I sobbed.
“I think the child is being treated badly by her peers” Dora said.
“Yes and that’s the worst! I don’t think am prepared to tell Arya this…. I don’t want her to know about Arthur and I don’t want her to go back to that city” I wiped my tears off.
“I understand you but I don’t think those kids will let your daughter be” Dora said.
“Thars why am confused Dora… My daughter can not find out about her father and my family cos I will take care of her singlehandedly which am already doing” I gritted my teeth.
Patrick’s Pov;
The day was going do smooth and fun.
You don’t know the excitement I get from playing my game all day without those annoying creatures called teachers bossing me around.
“Where are those stupid maids? Why can’t they serve me breakfast in bed? Am sick” I laughed within myself.
Just then,,, my telephone rang aloud.
I quickly picked it up and placed it on my ear.
“Son… How are you doing?” That was my mom’s voice.
Probably checking on her sick son 🙄🙄🙄
That’s a bunch of disturbance but I have to act along right?
“Am getting better mom” I pretended to be weak.
“Oh dear! Have you had breakfast?” She asked.
“Oh shit!” I shouted as I cancelled the game.
“Patrick? What’s that sound? Is that the PS game?” Mom asked as I gasped.
“Oh no mom! I can’t even get up from the bed talk more of turning game on” I continued pretending.
“Oh ok son! I have to go” She said as I hung up immediately.
Arrrghhh…. That was so close!
The door bell rang aloud.
“Come in” I said as the door swinged open.
The maid walked in with a tray of covered plates which they passed in front of me.
I licked my lips.
I quickly opened the piping hot food and gasped.
“Pumpkin sauce?” I yelled in disgust.
“Your mom said I should prepare that” She said as I flared up.
I quickly poured the hot pumpkin sauce on her face as she jumped up in pains.
Aliyah’s Pov;
I sat quietly the whole day sobbing.
I already became an object of ridicule because everyone was making fun of me.
I have never been so humiliated.
I felt the ground should open up and swallow me.
I didn’t even want to show my face and I kept praying the day will be over so that I can go home.
Finally it came…..
The school bus drove me straight home.
I couldn’t help but sob within myself.

I was laying on my bed until Mom came back home.
I didn’t even bother to welcome her home cos I was in a terrible mood.
Mom walked closer to my bee when she noticed I was feeling bad.
“Baby are you ok?” She asked.
“Mom who is my…..” I wanted to finish my words.
“We are packing out of town Arya” Mom said hers first.
“What?” I widened my eyes in shock……

Aliyah’s Pov:
I folded my clothes into the bag as Arya walked to me with her dad face.
“Why are we leaving mom? I don’t understand you” She cried out..
“Arya this is for your own good…. We will move to Capetown! It’s a big city” I tried speaking to her but she shook her head in disagreement.
“No mom! This isn’t for my own good…. Why do we have to move?” She burst into tears.
“Baby you have to understand mommy… Listen your uncle Leo found a decent job for me in big city and that is going to help us” I said.
“Mom I don’t understand you…. Just how do I start a new life there? Far away from everyone and I don’t even have friends there” Arya cried.
“You are a smart girl Arya… You are definitely going to make friends” I assured her.
“Oh mom please…. This is not going to be as easy as you see it… I don’t think it will be easy for me to start anew” She continued crying .
“Don’t worry baby before you know it you will get used to our new place and guess what? Your uncle Leo is moving too including Dora” I said to brighten her up.
“They are all your friends Mom and not mine” She grumbled.
“Baby please try to understand mommy Arya” I bowed my head..
“Aunt Dora is only moving because her husband is in Capetown too” Arya smartly said.
“Arya you don’t want us to miss our flight do you? Go ahead and get prepared” I said changing the topic.
My mind is already made up…..
Arya and I will be going to Capetown to start afresh.
And thank goodness Dora’s husband lives there too so she will be coming along.
Mr Leo is such a good hearted man he already secured a suitable job for me.
Natasha’s Pov:
Patrick stood in front of I and his dad with his hands in his baggy short pocket.
He wasn’t even looking sorry for what he did and that made Arthur so angry.
“What gave you the audacity to pour that hot sauce of the poor lady’s face Patrick?” Arthur screamed at him.
“Dad can you imagine? She prepared such a cursed delicacy for me?” He sneered.
“Will you shut up Patrick? I told her to prepare that for you cos you told me that you weren’t feeling fine” I shouted at him.
“Yuck Mom….I don’t care… Fine or no fine she shouldn’t prepare such stupid meals for me” He still yelled.
Arthur flared up giving him a disdainful stare.
“Keep quiet!” Arthur shouted at him.
“Dad you should be screaming at her and not me…. Why would you scream at me?” Patrick glared at Arthur.
“You moron!” Arthur landed a resounding slap on his cheek as I gasped.
“Arthur please calm down” I tried to stop them
“What mom? Why are you holding him back? Let him spank me just because of a mere housemaid” Patrick continued talking.
“You should be ashamed of yourself Patrick” Arthur replied.
“Why dad? Can’t I eat what I like in my own house?” Patrick sighed.
“Shut up! Now from today till the next one week you will be having pumpkin sauce for lunch and nothing else” Arthur said.
Patrick gasped while I gulped hard.
“But Dad….” Patrick wanted to speak
“I have spoken and your account will be freezed” Arthur added before walking away.
“Shit!” Patrick cried out as he kicked the table.
Mr Leo’s Pov:.
“Everything is set Aliyah… Once you pack in then you can start work as soon as possible” I said as I walked them out if the car.
“Thank you so much Leo…” Aliyah smiled broadly at me.
“It’s okay! I just want you and your daughter to be ok” I said.
Arya who was looking really gloomy walked out too walking right behind us dejectedly.
“Arya why is your face like that? Don’t you like the picture of your new house in Capetown?” I touched her long hair.
She raised her face as tears ran down her face.
“Why do we have to leave?” Was all she could ask.
I felt sorry for the poor child.
I know how hard it must be for her but everything her mom does is for her own good.
We walked into the airport after being searched…..
