💋 Chapter Seventeen 💋

Cindy quickly ran to Kylie and moved her body. She was breathing but was unconscious.

“Get here fast!” She said to Jackson.

Jackson was in his room wearing his jacket. He was waiting for his sister to but instead he heard her voice in his mind.

“Why? Where are you?” He replied.

“Just come outside!” She yelled.

He covered his ears and quickly went outside. He hated telepathy.

He saw Cindy drenched under the rain. She was trying to lift Kylie up.
He also entered the rain and saw it was Kylie.

“Kylie? Kylie? What happened to her?” He asked.

“I don’t know. I just came outside”

“How did she get here?”

Cindy shot him a hærd glare. He was just used to asking silly questions.

They both sneaked Kylie into Jackson’s room.
They laid her on the bed.

“She’s really cold” Cindy announced.

“Yeah, she is” he replied, staring at her body.

“I need to change her clothes”

“Yeah, change it” he replied, still staring at her body.

Cindy frowned at Jackson.
“What? I just care about her. Fine, I’ll give you some privacy” he said and left.

Cindy quickly took off her w-t clothes and changed her into something huge that would make her warm.

She left the room and saw Jackson standing outside the door.

“Can I go in now?” He asked.

“Yes. I also want to go and sleep now. You got lucky that she came here. But what is she doing here?”

“I have no idea” he replied.

“Don’t do anything to her. I’m watching you. Goodnight” she said and left.

Jackson smirked and entered into the room. He locked the door behind and walked towards his huge bed.

He saw how she slept soundly. He drew his face closer to hers and felt her warm breath.

He withdrew his face and grabbed her hand. He rubbed his thumbs on her palm to keep her warm.

But instead, she opened her eyes and tried to get up.

“Oh, calm down there baby. You are safe” he said.

“Jackson?” She called out.

“Yeah, its me” he replied.

She stared round the room.
“I can’t believe I walked to your house”

“That’s very funny. What were you thinking? Cindy is the only one that loves to walk far. The distance is just too far. I could faint on the way” he replied.

Kylie lowered her gaze and gave a gentle laugh.
She saw that she wasn’t putting on her gown but something big. She raised her head and stared at Jackson.

Jackson noticed it.
“Oh, don’t worry. I wasn’t the one who changed your clothes. It was Cindy and she was the one who found you lying on the floor”

“Ohh, thanks to her” she said in a low tone.

“Why did you leave the house? I dropped you off at home. Or did you miss me?” He raised his eyebrows.

Kylie wished she could laugh about that but she couldn’t.
“It’s nothing” she said and laid down on the bed.

Jackson sat close to her.
“You can tell me. I’m good at keeping secrets” he replied softly.

“No, it’s nothing. I just left home because of my mom. I was annoyed” she said. She doesn’t know why she can’t tell him what really happened.

“You want to sleep. I’ll sleep on the couch, you stay on the bed” he said and stood up.

Kylie caught his hands.
“You can sleep behind me” she said.

“I hope you don’t mind” he replied as he shot his eyes wide opened.

Kylie shook her head and let go of his hand.

“Sure, I’ll go change my clothes. I’m also w-t” he said and left the room.

Sarah was worried sick about her daughter. She wondered where she is.
She wished she could call her but she left her phone.

“I hope she’s fine. Where could she have gone? There’s only one way to find out” she said and went to her room.
She locked the door behind.

She walked towards her mirror and pushed the middle. The mirror separated.

She took the box she hid there and slowly placed it on the bed.
Sarah stared round still watching if someone was watching her.

She was the only one that could control Kylie since she was the one who locked her powers.
She was really scared because Kylie’s birthday is in two days time. She knew Kylie didn’t remember because of she has been busy lately.

She opened the box and brought out a glass ball. She placed it on a pillow.

“Where is Kylie?” She asked.

The ball suddenly turned black. She saw Kylie sleeping on the bed.

Sarah sighed deeply and closed her mouth with her hands.
“I can’t even protect my daughter” she murmured and snapped her fingers.
The glass went back to it’s transparent color.

Sarah put it in the box and hid it back.
She pushed the mirror again and it joined back to it’s normal self.

“The blood moon is in two days time. I hope Kylie will be back by then. I can’t risk her life. It’s her birthday also. She has to stay at home or else, they’ll find out about her. Oh please, help me” she murmured.

Sarah held her palm together. She wants to make sure that Kylie is the first demigod to pass the death age.

She got an urgent call from Elina.
“Elina? What’s wrong?” She murmured before picking the call.

“Elina?” She called out.

“Sarah? How is your daughter doing? The death day is in two days time and the clan will be attacked”

“Attacked? Why?” Sarah asked and stood up from the bed.

“The vampires will think the demigod is with us. I’ll advice you to keep her safe” she said.

“Yes, safe. I will” she said and disconnected the call.

“How do I keep her safe when she’s not here with me? What do I do?” Sarah murmured and buried her face into her palm.

“Let me wait till the morning, then I’ll know what to do” she said and wiped the tears on her face.

Kylie eyes was already closed when Jackson walked into the room. He laid behind Kylie and covered himself with the duvet.

Kylie turned and saw him lying behind her.
She smiled and turned her head again.

“Why are you smiling?” He asked.

“I don’t know. Why do you think I’m smiling?” She asked.

“I also don’t know” he replied.

Kylie chuckled softly.
Jackson moved close to her and cuddled her.

Kylie’s eyes shot wide open.
“What are you doing?” She asked.

“Nothing” he replied.

Kylie brushed her hair to the back of her ear, exposing her neck.
Jackson sniffed her and quickly left her body.

He was breathing hærd as he shot his eyes.
He didn’t want her to see his golden eyes.

“Why did you leave me?” She asked.

Jackson faced her and used her sweater to cover her neck.
He tried again and wrapped her.

He didn’t try to bring his nose closer to her skin.

“I never knew we would be this close” she said in a low tone.

“Me too” he replied. He has calmed himself down already.
He has hugged a lot of ladies, he doesn’t know why Kylie was different.

Kylie blushed and buried her head into the pillow.

Jackson smiled and brought his arms to her stomach.

Kylie stopped blushing and Blake’s hand as it went into her sweater.
She turned and stared at Jackson.

“What.. what are you doing?” She asked.

“Making you feel warm” he replied, staring into her eyes.

She shot her eyes wide open when his fingers were on her n×pples.
She turned her head away from him and tightened her mouth.

She enjoyed the way he teased her but she didn’t want anything like this now.
“I think you should stop now. I’m feeling sleepy” she said in a shaky voice.

Jackson slowly slipped his hands out of her sweater and k×ssed her head.
“Good night then” he said and pretend to close his eyes.

Kylie turned and quickly stared at him.

She hugged the duvet tight and tried not to laugh.
She wondered what her mother was doing now.
She wished she could forgive her mother but she can’t. She lied to her.

“Oh mother, forgive me that I can’t forgive you. Dad’s alive. I really want to see my dad. I wish to stay with him. I don’t know why you hid the truth from me but I guess you have your reasons. To be honest, I miss you already” she thought and closed her eyes.

Cindy and Jackson stood by the door watching as their parents are breakfast. They wanted to sneak Kylie out of the house in a way that their parents won’t find out.

Dylan stopped eating and sniffed the air.
“Do you smell human?” He asked.

Kylie heard that and furrowed her eyebrows.
“What does he mean by that?” She thought.

Cindy and Jackson stared at Kylie and quickly thought of a way to get her out of the house.
By telling the truth!

Cindy left the door and walked to the dining room.
“Hey mom hey dad” she said.

“So, what took you so long to come to the table?” Alice asked.

“I apologise for that mom. I have something important to tell you” she said.

“I don’t want to listen to what you have to say. Tonight, we have a meeting in the…”

“Kylie is here!” She quickly said before her mother would finish the sentence.

Alice stood up with her eyes wide opened.
“Kylie is here?” She asked again.

“Yeah, she is. And as a good human family, I think we should invite her to have breakfast with us”

“Sure, tell her to come join us at the table and yes, Jackson also” Dylan said and smiled weirdly.

Cindy nodded and left.
“Get Kylie to the table. Seem like I’ll take the scold” she said to Jackson.

“Thanks sis, I love you” Jackson said and took Kylie to the dining room.

“I hate you” she said and also left.

Alice and Dylan saw Kylie as she walked towards the table.
They had to act like a normal family since a human was around.

“I’ll go get the dessert. Hi Kylie” Alice said and left.
She didn’t hate Kylie, see just doesn’t want to get close to her.

“Hi Alice” Kylie greeted.

“Oh, come sit here” Dylan said to Kylie.

“Thanks Dylan” she said and sat beside Jackson.

Cindy walked to the kitchen and saw her mother waiting for her.
“Hey mom” she said with her baby face.

“Oh stop it Cindy, what’s she doing here?” Alice asked.

“I don’t know. She ran away from home and bla bla bla, she appeared here. I found her unconscious outside the rain last night” she explained.

“After breakfast, I want her out” Alice said and left the kitchen with some food.

Cindy rolled her eyes and walked out of the kitchen.

They all ate silently especially Kylie.
She felt strange eating with them.

“Jackson, pass the cake” Dylan said.

“Cake?” Kylie thought.

“Oh no!” She said and sprung up.

Everyone stared at her.
“What happened Kylie?” Cindy asked.

Alice and Dylan got frightened.

“My birthday is tomorrow!” She announced, almost s¢ræming.

“And?” Cindy asked.

“I forgot. Oh my Gosh! I need to go home now”

“Sure, I’ll drop you off at home” Jackson said and also stood up.

The rest of the family members dropped their fork. They lost their appetite.

“Make sure she doesn’t come here without our permission” Alice said and left the table.

Jackson drove with Kylie to her house.
“I can’t believe you forgot your own birthday. I mean, what were you thinking?” He asked.

“I didn’t remember. I just.. had a lot of things on my mind” she said slowly.

“Oh nice. So how was your night at my house?” He asked, changing the topic completely.

“I have no idea. That’s my first time sharing a room with the opposite s×x”

“Oh really? I’m lucky to be the first” Jackson laughed as he drove slowly.

“Yeah, I wonder if mom’s home. I don’t know what to do. It’s my eighteenth birthday and I have to do something” she said with her hands on her head.

“We’ll think of something. You should go in,side already” Jackson said and pulled over.

“Yeah, I should go in,side. Thanks Jackson. Say hi to Cindy” she said and opened the door.

Jackson cleared his throat. Kylie stopped and stared at Jackson.

“What?”

“Aren’t you gonna k×ss me goodbye or something?” He asked.

Kylie drew her face closer to his.
“No” she whispered and left the car.

Jackson smirked.
“My regards to your mom sweetheart!” He yelled and drove off.

Kylie opened the door and saw that it was unlocked.
She pushed herself into the house.

“Mom?” She called out.

“Kylie? Is that you?” Sarah said from her room when she heard her voice.

Kylie rolled her eyes and walked towards the kitchen.

Sarah ran to her and hugged her tight.
“Oh my Kylie” she said.

“Yeah mom” she said.

Sarah left her and adjusted her hair.
“Where have you been? Where did you go?” She asked softly.

“I spent the night at a friend’s place. I’m not really ready to listen to your question. I’m still mad at you for not telling me about dad. It’s really…unlike you” she said shaking her head slowly.

“I’m sorry Kylie. I didn’t mean to do this” Sarah said.

“I’m not really here to talk about all this. My birthday is tomorrow and I really want to hang out with my friends” she said.

Sarah shot her a hærd glare.
“No no. You aren’t going anywhere. I can’t let you leave the house tomorrow”

“What? Why? For the past seventeen years I’ve celebrated my birthday alone, without friends! Now I have friends you want me to sit my ass at home and just eat my dumb cake with you. It’s a no!” She said and walked towards the stairs.

“Kylie? Kylie? It’s for your own good. You have to stay here” Sarah yelled but Kylie didn’t want to listen to her.

Kylie entered her room and slammed the door hærd.
She laid on the bed and stared at her ceiling.

“I really need to do something tomorrow. But what?” She thought.

She got a call from Lilly. She picked her phone from the table and answered the call.

“Hey girl” she said.

“Okay, first of all. Happy birthday in advance. Cindy told me. So, what’s the plan?” She asked.

“Thanks Lilly. I don’t really know what to do. But I really want to leave here” she said and rolled her eyes.

“Sure, we are going out tomorrow. You can join us. Then we’ll work things out” she said.

Kylie nodded. She loves the plan.
“I’ll call you when I’m ready. I just have to find a way to run away from home” she said.

“Sure. Talk to you later!” Lilly said and disconnected the call.

Kylie threw her phone to the bed and had her bath.
She laid on the bed and slept off.

It was evening.
Jackson and his family went to the woods. They had a very important meeting.

Bob slowly walked to the dark throne and sat on it.
Everyone stared at him.
Jackson yawned, he wasn’t ready to listen to Bob.

“Announcement, the blood moon is tonight. The demigod is still out there. You know what happens when she pass the death age. She’ll become very powerful and stronger. You all have been so useless. No one could bring the demigod to me” he said and tightened her fist.

Everyone stared at each other. They knew their lives was at stake.

“I wish I found that bitch and become the head already, I’ll quit school!” Madison said to Jackson.

“I have a party to attend” he said and stared at his watched.

“I have a suggestion” someone from the crowd said.

They turned to stare at her.
“If we can’t find her in the human world, what if she’s with the witches?”

“Yeah!”

“Maybe?”

They all murmured.

“Silent!! She’s also an enemy to the witches. You all should just look out for a fresh eighteen years old girl. Make sure you find her and being her to me alive. But still, we’ll attack the witches tomorrow. It has been long since I had fun” Bob said, making everyone chuckled.

“You are all dismissed!” He announced.

They all started to leave the dark mansion.

“Fresh eighteen year old girl? Do you think Kylie might..?”

“Oh please mom. Kylie can’t be the demigod” Jackson said and left.

“I’m going out mom. See you later” she said and k×ssed her mother’s cheek.

“Yeah, have fun” Alice said and left the mansion.

Kylie finished eating dinner with her mom who won’t let her go out.
She stood up and walked towards the stairs.

“Kylie? Happy birthday in advance” she said.

“Yeah, I get it” Kylie replied and ran upstairs.

Sarah locked the doors and hid the keys.

Kylie saw her locking the door. She knew she couldn’t get the keys. But she needed to leave the house very soon.

She got a text from Lilly.
“We’ll be at your house in five minutes”

She slipped her phone back into her pocket.
“I have to do something crazy to get out from here. I’m sorry mom” she said and smirked.
