Henry shook his head slowly.
“Wait, please don’t hurt me. Few days ago, she came to the clans hangout. Elina brought her to come see me” he said.

“Do you remember any other thing? Like where she lived?” Bob asked.

“I think she stays in the city. I guess because of the way she dressed” he replied.

“What’s her name?”

Henry raised his head and gazed at Bob.
“Sarah!”

Bob smirked.
“Good. You can leave”

Henry quickly ran out of the mansion. He was really scared of his cousin.

He remembered when Bob killed his parents who were the head of vampires.
He desperately wanted to sit on the throne and he got what he wanted.

His brother, Robby was supposed to be the next to take over but he doesn’t want to put Sarah’s life at risk. He also doesn’t want their love to end.

Kylie ran downstairs, with her school bag and opened the door.

“Kylie?!” Her mother called her from the kitchen.

“Argh!” She gr0×ned and walked towards the kitchen.

“Aren’t you eating breakfast?” She asked.

“No mom, I’m fine” she replied and walked away.

“Take care of yourself!” She yelled. Sarah just wanted to make sure the necklace was still on her neck.

Kylie walked to school. When she got to the school compound, she saw everyone staring at her.

“What’s wrong?” She muttered and entered into the school.

She opened her locker and placed her school bag in it.

“You must be Kylie”
Kylie heard a voice and closed her locker. She turned and saw a very beautiful senior standing behind her.

“Yes, I am” she replied.

“I’m Jane. Blake’s twin sister” she replied.

Kylie rolled her eyes secretly.
“Okay?”

“I just wanted to meet the girl you ditched my brother. I’ll see you around” she said and left.

Kylie stared at her as she walked away with her heels.

“What’s with her?” Lilly asked.

“I don’t care” Kylie replied and walked to the classroom.

“Happy birthday Kylie!!”
Everyone s¢ræmed.

Kylie smiled broadly.
“That’s so beautiful. Thanks guys” she said slowly.

“Hey sweetheart” Jackson whispered into her ear.

She quickly turned and saw him behind her.
“Hey Jackson. Did you do this?”

“It’s a group work. Everyone did” he said.

“Thanks everyone!” She yelled and walked towards her cake.

After singing her a birthday song, she cut the cake.
Everyone had a bite.

Immediately, the teacher entered into the class and they started lessons.

“I can’t wait for holiday already. Just a week to exams” Cindy gr0×ned.

“Where’s Madison?”

“She’s in detention. Remember!”

Kylie raised her eyebrows.
“Oh”

Bob went to the city and felt disgusted.
“Oh, here’s the city everyone praised” he squeezed his face.

“Where do I start from? How on earth do I find Sarah?” He almost yelled.

He found a lady who alighted from the car.
“Hi, I’m looking for Sarah” he said.

The lady frowned and walked away.

Bob slapped his forehead.
“I think it will be difficult” he said and continued walking.

He found a young man few minutes later.
“Hello, I’m looking for Sarah”

“Sarah? There are a lot of Sarah in the city. You have to know her surname so that you can easily find her” he replied and walked away.

Bob swallowed hærd.
“I think it’s very difficult as I thought. I shouldn’t have let Henry leave. How do I get her surname? I should go to Elina” he said and went back to the woods.

He went with one of the skilled thief.
He had just the plan to get Sarah.

Bob took a young vampire with an innocent face. He was very good with stealing things.

The witches sighted Bob and started running.
“Be calm. I’m not here to fight. I need to see Elina”

They stared at each other.
“Why?!”

“We want to make a deal” he replied.

“Get Elina” one of them said.

They all had the potion Elina made.

Few minutes later, Elina came out.
“What do you want Bob?”

“Be friendly and invite me in. We should make a deal” he said, smiling weirdly.

Elina smirked.
“Search him”

They searched Bob and saw that he wasn’t with any weapon.
“All clear”

“Fine, come in” she said.

Bob smirked and went through the rock.
He wondered how they managed to fix the rock immediately.

Elina took them to her chamber.
“So, what do you want?” She asked.

Bob smiled.
“I’ll go straight to the point. I know that you know who Sarah is. Just give me her contact and I’ll leave”

“Why would I do that? Even if I do, what do I get?”

“We won’t attack the witches anymore” he replied.

Bob stared at the young boy and smiled at him.

“Think about it Elina. This is the first time that a demigod has exceed the death age. She will be very strong and will kill every one of us. She has the witches blood in her vein, so as the vampire blood” he said.

“No, I won’t do that. I don’t care if she has passed the death age. Let the poor child live her life” she said.

Bob smiled weirdly.
“Fine then. We’ll take our leave. Come child!”

Elina turned and saw the child standing by the table.
“What are you doing there?” Elina frowned.

The child pretended not to hear her. He walked towards Bob and left the witches hangout.

Bob stopped and stared at the boy.
“Did you see any phone or photo?”

The boy shook his head.

“What? You are just as useless as you are dumb. Get lost!” He yelled.

The boy ran away in fear.

Bob angrily kicked the tree.
“I should do something very fast” he said and left.

After school, Kylie thanked her classmates for the surprise again.

She walked with Jackson out of the school.
“Thanks Jackson”

“It’s okay. Let me walk you home” he said.

“Uh…”

*Car horns*

They turned and saw Kylie’s mother in the car.
“Ah jeez” Kylie rolled her eyes.

“Your mom. I’ll call you later. Bye!” Jackson said and left.

Kylie walked towards her mother and entered the car.
“What mom?”

“I wanted to take you out. I took the day off”

“You just started working and you took the day off”

“I want to spend time with my daughter. Let’s go already” Sarah said and started the car.

She drove out of the school compound.

Kylie wondered where her mother is taking her now.

They got to the mall.
“Really mom? Mall?”

“Come on Kylie. Let’s just shop and do a makeover together”

Kylie opened the door and alighted from the car.
They walked towards the mall.

Sarah bumped into Bob.
“I’m sorry” she said and kept on walking.

Bob frowned.
“Blind bat!” He gr0×ned.

Kylie turned and saw Bob.
Their eyes met.

Immediately Bob stared into her eyes, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
“That’s strange. Who’s she?” He murmured and walked away.

Kylie sighed as they entered into the mall.

Late in the night, they went home after having fun.
They listened to their favorite song as they drove home.

Sarah was happy that Kylie wasn’t fully angry with her anymore.

“So, what’s going on between you and Jackson?”

“I guess we are dating” she replied.

“Hmm, so you like him” she asked.

Kylie glared at her mother and smiled.
“Yeah, I think” she replied.

“Have you k×ssed him?”

“Mom?!” Kylie laughed.

“What? I just want to know about my daughter. Duh”

They started laughing.

“Mom! Watch out!” Kylie yelled.

Sarah saw the truck and stretched her hands forward.
She stopped the truck with her powers.

Everything happened quickly and in the presence of Kylie.

Kylie threw her hair backwards and slowly stared at her mother.
“What did you do?”

“I can explain Kylie” she replied.

Kylie stormed into the house and tree her school bag.
“What do you have to explain? You just stretched your hands and the truck that was moving in full speed suddenly stopped. What the f×¢k was that?”

Sarah closed the door and also placed her bag on the chair.

“Kylie. Calm down!”

“Oh don’t tell me to calm down mom! I don’t want to listen to you anymore. You’ve been lying to me. First it was dad, now it’s you stopping a truck and…”

“Kylie!!! Listen to me. You want to know the truth, huh? I’ll tell you” Sarah yelled.

Kiara breath slowly.
“Fine. Tell me everything. I want to listen to every damn thing. Don’t leave anything out”

“I’m a witch Kylie. I’m a witch” she said.

Kylie furrowed her eyebrows.
“What?”

“Yes, you heard me right. I’m a witch” she said again and took dream steps towards her.

Kylie fell on the chair and shook her head.
“My… My mom is a witch” she murmured slowly as tears rolled down her cheek.

CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

Sarah walked towards Kylie and sat beside her.
“I’m sorry baby. I know I…”

“Hid things from me. That’s unlike you mom” she said.

“Yes, I understand Kylie. I think it’s high time I told you the truth”

“What truth? Let me guess, you still have a lot of secrets that you are hiding from me”she replied.

Sarah nodded.
“Kylie, I don’t know where to start from”

“Why don’t you start from the scratch? My dad?”

“Fine. You dad’s name is Robby. He really left after I gave birth to you. That’s because he wanted to protect us. He wanted to protect you. I had to take care of you and protect you”

“So what’s dad protecting us from?”

“From his enemies”

Kylie furrowed her eyebrows and scoffed.
“What enemies?”

“Oh I see, I haven’t told you. Your dad’s a vampire”

“Vam..A vampire? What? Does that really exist?”

Sarah nodded.

“So, you are saying that you are a witch and dad’s a vampire”

Sarah nodded again. Kylie face was really filled with confusion.

“So?” She asked.

“Your father was the strongest vampire. He had enemies that wanted him dead and also because he was with me, a witch. Vampires and witches aren’t supposed to be together, it’s a taboo”

“Wait, If dad’s a vampire and you’re a witch. Then what am I?”

“You are a demigod”

Kylie burst out into laughter.
“Wow, that’s funny mom. I’m a vampire. Why aren’t I allergic to garlic or burn in the sun or… Any other things that vampires don’t like”

“I don’t know what you are talking about. Those are the ones you see in movies. The vampires we have now, they aren’t allergic to sun or garlic or silver. They can’t just stare at the sun directly. Some put on sunglasses because of that. We witches don’t have any allergies. We just love to keep our existence a secret”

Kylie stood up from the chair and slapped her lap.
“What can I say mom? This is unbelievable”

“I know Kylie”

“But why didn’t you tell me about this?”

“Because I was scared. There are lot of people after the demigod. If you are found, you’ll be killed”

“What? Why on earth would they want me dead?”

“Have a seat”
Sarah said and helped Kylie sit.

Sarah sighed and stared at her daughter.
“Kylie. You are a demigod, that’s why I said you are special. Every generation, a witch and a vampire are to fall in love. It’s a taboo because they are both enemies. Since the demigod is alive, they would want her dead. She has both powers from the vampire and the witch. She is the strongest”

“You mean, I’m the strongest. Wow, that’s just good because I don’t see any power anywhere”

Sarah smiled.
“That’s because I locked your powers in that your necklace”

Kylie furrowed her eyebrows and touched the necklace.
She raised her head and stared at her mother.

“That explained why Jackson’s mom got shocked when she tried to take it off”

Sarah eyes shot wide opened when she heard that.
She knew that she protected that necklace from the vampires.

“Got zapped?”

She nodded.
“When I touch it, it doesn’t zap me but why her? Poor woman”

“Because she is also a vampire. They are all vampires. You should stay away from them. They are dangerous, the ones who wants you dead”

“I don’t think they are”

“Kylie, you should stay away from them. That necklace is to protect you from vampires when they try to take it away from you. Now that they know your birthday is today, they would suspect you and attack us one day”

“No way, that’s not going to happen” Kylie scoffed.
She dropped her hand from her necklace and lowered her gaze.

“The blood moon. Does that have anything to do with me?”

Sarah nodded.
“Yes, that’s because you are still alive. You are the first demigod to pass the death age. Once any demigod reaches eighteen, she becomes more powerful. Kylie, you need to be careful from now on. They may question you about anything but just act as innocent that you are”

“I’m sorry mom. I see the reason why you didn’t allow me go out on my birthday. I’m really sorry”

“It’s okay sweetheart. You are forgiven. You just have to do anything I ask you to do. Do you understand?”

Kylie nodded and grabbed her school bag.
She took few steps towards the stairs.
“Can’t I at least learn to use my powers or see how they are?”

“That won’t happen now. You’ll learn how to use it when the time is right. Be down for dinner in ten minutes”

“Sure mom” she rolled her eyes and went to her room.

Sarah sighed deeply. She felt that she was free.
“I should have told her about this a long time ago. I feel free” she murmured as she walked towards the kitchen.

Kylie threw her bag to the chair and sat on the bed.
From where she sat, she stared at her reflection on the mirror.

“I am a demigod” she murmured and laughed.

She stopped laughing when she remembered that Jackson is also a vampire. Could she really stay away from him?

“Oh no, I should really find out if he’s a vampire. I can’t just call him a vampire when I’m not sure about it” she murmured and stood from her bed.

She had a warm shower and put on her pink pyjamas. She couldn’t get what her mother told he off her head.

She quickly ran downstairs and sat on the chair waiting for her mother.

“Yes Sasha. I told her everything”

“Really? What was her expression?” Sasha asked with a shocking voice.

“Well, not as I expected. I thought she would be violent and even get angry. That didn’t happen. She was cool and she asked tons of questions” Sarah replied and winked at Kylie.

Kylie shook her head at her mom and took a huge bite out of her apple.

“That’s my Kylie. I’ll come to the city when I have the chance to”

“That’s great. Kylie, Sasha will be coming to the city”

“That’s nice. She shouldn’t forget to bring me some chocolates when she’s coming” she said.

Sasha laughed. She heard what Kylie said.
“Well, you both should stay safe. I love you”

“Love you too. I’ll hang up now” she replied and disconnected the call.

Sarah dropped her phone and sat with Kylie.
“Why didn’t you eat?”

“I was waiting for you. Eat now! You shouldn’t stress yourself too much”

“I’m glad that someone cares” she said and started eating.

Kylie smirked and also started eating.

Madison was in Jackson’s house.
She was with Cindy and Jackson.

The twin were tired of her already.
“Madison, isn’t it late for you to go home?” Cindy asked in annoyance.

“I’m thinking about something really strange”

“What is it?” She replied.

“Today’s Kylie’s birthday and we saw the blood moon. Do you think that it is a coincidence?” Madison asked.

Jackson finally raised his head and stared at Madison.
“Are you trying to say that Kylie is the demigod? That’s impossible. Did you check the internet? There are a lot of people whose birthday was today. Maybe the demigod is somewhere in another country”

“Even if Kylie’s the demigod, I’m not letting anyone kill my friend” Cindy said and left.

“Me too. I can’t let anyone kill my girlfriend. I’ve spent more than five hundred years watching how demigods get killed. It’s enough” Jackson said and stood up.

Madison sighed.
“Well, I’m happy that no one is interested in the throne. I have no competitors. I just have to find the f×¢king demigod wherever she is” Madison murmured and left.

Jackson threw himself on the bed and stared at the blank ceiling.
“What if Kylie is the demigod?” He asked and imagined how they kill Kylie in his presence.

He quickly snapped out of the thought and sat up. He buried his face into his palm.

“I think I should first find out if she’s really the demigod so that I can protect her. I can’t take it if they kill Kylie, she’s the first person I’ve loved as a friend. Well, apart from Chris” he murmured.

“I thought you won’t say that”

He turned his head and saw Chris sitting on the chair in the corner.
“What the f×¢k are you doing there?” He asked.

Chris stood up and walked towards Jackson.
“I’m the man of your dreams bro. I see you are thinking about Kylie. I don’t really think she’s the demigod either. If she is, the throne will be mine” he said and smiled.

Jackson shot him a hærd glare.
“Come on dude, don’t you want to sit on that huge dark chair with everyone bowing to you? You will have that dark aura and…”

“Stop it Chris! I don’t want any of that and Kylie is so not a demigod” Jackson said with anger in his tone.

Chris stood up and tapped Jackson’s back.
“Fine dude. I’ll keep on finding the demigod. See you at school tomorrow dude!” He said and jumped out of the window.

Jackson rolled his eyes and slept off.
