Sarah dropped Kylie off at school.
“Remember,don’t tell anyone about your secret. It’s also our secret”
“Do you think I want to die?” She asked in reply.
“That’s my girl. Study hærd and be good” Sarah said and k×ssed her forehead.
“Bye mom!” She said and alight from the car.
She removed her earpiece and slipped her phone into her pocket.
She walked into the hall and went to her locker.
She noticed that everyone was busy staring into their book.
Lilly walked up to her also with a book.
“Hey Kylie. Why aren’t you reading already?” She asked.
“Why? I mean, why is everyone reading?”
“Oh, I see that you are just coming. Come let me show you something” she pulled Kylie.
Kylie slammed her locker as she went after her.
Lilly brought her to the school notice board.
Kylie was still confused.
“Can you just orally explain what’s going on?”
Lilly sighed and pointed at the board.
“Our exams is starting today” she replied.
Kylie didn’t show any signs of concern.
“So?” She asked.
“I know you are intelligent but please don’t use that to oppress us. You don’t have to read”
Kylie laughed and touched her hair.
“Don’t worry, we’ll do whatever we can. I’ll read, I just need to go to the bathroom” she said and left.
Lilly lowered her gaze.
“If I were to be intelligent like you. I won’t even go to school anymore. School s×¢ks!” She murmured and went to the classroom.

Kylie was licking lolipop as she walked towards the bathroom.
She heard some voices from the storeroom.
She slowly walked towards it and placed her ear on the door.
She could notice Madison’s voice.
“Really Jackson? I can’t believe this. I never expected this from you”
“Stop it Madison. Just leave my brother alone. It’s not compulsory for him to find the demigod”
“Oh Cindy, shut up and stay out of this. I’m talking tom Jackson”
Cindy slapped her forehead and walked away from them giving them some space.
“Jackson..”
“No Cindy listen to me. I’m done with all this. For a moment I wish I weren’t a vampire. This is really crazy. I don’t want to find the demigod”
Kylie heard what he said and smiled.
She could trust him a little.
“But…”
Kylie heard him and placed her ear on the door.
Her lolipop fell on the floor and broke.
They heard some sound from outside the door.
Madison quickly walked towards the door and opened it.
They saw Kylie picking up some of the broken lolipop.
She stood up and stared at their faces.
“Oh, hi guys. Never knew you were here”
“What are you doing here?” Madison asked.
Kylie glared at her hærd.
“I’m just picking my broken lolipop and minding my own business” she grinned her teeth and left.
Madison turned and faced them.
“I think she heard us. She has known our secret already. I know what to do, I’ll just kill her then fine it’s over”
“I’ll talk to her. Stay out of this” he walked out of the storeroom.
Cindy walked out also and went to the class. She also had to prepare for the exam.

“Kylie! Kylie!” Jackson called out as he followed her.
She stopped and turned to stare at him.
“What is it Jackson?”
“Trust me, whatever you heard was just a lie”
“Lie, what lie? Lie about what?” She asked.
“I..I really..”
*Bell*
“Save it Jackson” Kylie said and walked out on him.
He wondered if he would ever know what to say.
“I should just tell her the truth” he murmured and went to the class.
The exam started. Madison was back to class.
Some of them were even sweating before they saw the papers.
Some were praying.
“Oh God! Let me just get a D so that dad can buy me a car”
Kylie turned when she heard her classmate’s voice.
The teacher walked into the class and shared the papers.
“You can start already. No cheating…”
Kylie wished not to listen to the teacher’s unending rules.
She started filling the papers already.
Jackson stared at her. He wished he could talk to her already.
He focused on his exams.

Hours later!
The students were done with that day paper.
Kylie went to her locker and took her bag. She wish to head home already but Jackson didn’t let her.
“Jackson just let me be. What’s your problem?” She asked almost yelling.
Some of the students were staring at them.
Jackson pulled her hand and took her to the store room.
He locked the door behind and stared at Kylie.
“Why are you mad at me?”
“I don’t want to talk to you” she replied.
“I know you heard what we were discussing. Just please… Let me explain”
“You want to kill some demigod. Why? Who are you really?” She asked.
“I’ll tell everything. I really don’t want any secret between us”
“Fine. Tell me everything” she said.
Jackson sighed.
“I don’t think you’ll believe me but I’m a vampire”
“Oh, I see. So?”
Jackson squeezed his face. He was expecting her to be surprised but it turned out to be the opposite”
“Why aren’t you surprised?”
“Because I know that already”
“You do?”
She nodded.
“That’s strange. Well… Trust me, I won’t kill any demigod. But how did you know about the demigod?”
“I just heard you all say it earlier. About catching the demigod. If you don’t kill her then what would you do”
“I will just help in finding her but won’t kill her. I really don’t want to be part of her death”
“But you are the cause of it. I shouldn’t even talk about the demigod. I do not know anything about her. I need to go” she turned to leave.
“Wait Kylie. You just gave to trust me. I won’t get my hands dirty”
Kylie stopped and turned to look at him.
“I can’t trust you Jackson” she said and left.
Jackson sighed deeply and looked away. He didn’t know how everything just happened right in front of her.

As she walked down the street, Cindy joined her.
“I’m sorry Kylie”
“For what?” She asked.
“For not telling you everything. We just have to keep our other life a secret” she replied.
“I understand but it’s cool to have a friend as a vampire”
“Yeah. I also have another confession to make”
“Tell me” Kylie said.
“I was the one who killed Moon”
Kylie stopped when she heard that.
She shot a heard glare at Cindy.
“You killed Moon?” She asked.
“I didn’t mean to. I was thirsty that night and I didn’t want to kill any of you. I just had to leave the house. Then I found Moon wondering around then I just had to…”
Kylie exhaled deeply.
“Fine. Let’s just forget about that”
They continued walking.
“But you will have to tell me more about your kinds” she said.
“Sure. We can talk about it over pizza. What do you think?” Cindy replied.

Few minutes after they got home. They ordered pizza and ate slowly on the bed.
“So, start. How did you become a vampire?” She asked.
“My dad got infected first. He later infected us”
“Oh, so I heard you all are kinda immortal. Really?”
“Yes we are. Our weak point is our neck” Cindy replied. She felt like she was in an interview.
“Ohh. So, what are you cool powers? Let me see them” Kylie said with her eyes wide opened.
Cindy smiled and stood up.
She swiftly grabbed another pizza within a blink of an eye.
She walked on the wall after that.
Kylie mouth shot wide open.
“Oh my gosh, be careful!” Kylie said almost yelling.
“We can also jump from far distance and read people’s mind” Cindy said and climbed on the bed.
“Wow. Can you read mine?”
Cindy shook her head.
“I don’t know why no one can read your mind. It’s impossible”
“Oh” Kylie murmured and looked away. She knew it was because she was a demigod or its the necklace.
Cindy sighed.
“And about the demigod. You don’t need to worry. Jackson won’t do anything to harm her. He isn’t a fan of them killing the Demigod. He’s just gonna help in finding her”
“Yeah, I’ve heard that already. It’s fine. You should go already. You are forgiven”
Cindy smiled and hugged her.
She grabbed another slice and head towards the window.
“Wanna watch me jump?”
Kylie nodded and ran towards her. She pushed Cindy but she landed on her feet.
“Bye Cindy!” She yelled and closed her window.
As she turned, she saw her mother standing opposite her.
She got frightened immediately.
“F*ck! Mom?!”

Kylie got startled when she found her mom behind her. It was as if she just appeared out of nowhere.
“Seriously Kylie? You now use the f word” Sarah asked with a frown.
“If you didn’t appear in front of me, I wouldn’t have said it” she replied and sat on the bed.
Sarah sat beside her and touched her hair.
“What can I say? You are now eighteen. You can take up your own decision now”
“Thanks mom. We had our exam today”
“Really? I thought it’s supposed to start next week” Sarah furrowed her eyebrows.
“Well, it was a surprise exam” Kylie said with a smile.
Her mother sighed, she looked worried.
“What happened mom?”
“The witches got attacked by the vampires. They are looking for you”
“Is it really serious? Do they have to find me?” Kylie asked slowly, with tears in her voice. She really doesn’t want to die.
Sarah wrapped her arms around her.
“You’ll be safe. Don’t worry about that. Just promise me that you won’t hang out with those vampires again”
“I can’t promise that mom” Kylie said and quickly freed herself from her mother’s grip.
“Well, why is that?”
“Jackson is my boyfriend and there’s no way I can just neglect him. I heard them talking about finding the demigod. I think they suspect me, If I stay away from them, it would really be suspicious”
Sarah nodded.
“You are right. I feel that they are desperately looking for you, that’s why you have to stay safe. Don’t tell that you are a Demigod”
She nodded.
“Thanks mom. Since I know everything now, can you take me to the witches? They aren’t my enemies right?”
“Sure. I will” Sarah replied and stood up from the bed.
Kylie watched as her mother left the room.
She fell back on the bed and started thinking about her life.
“I see the reason why I am special. I wish this necklace comes out so that I can be able to walk on walls, hear people’s thought and a lot more. This is so much fun!” She murmured and squeaked.

When it was evening, Sarah knocked Kylie’s door.
“Come in!”
Sarah entered the room and saw that Kylie was reading.
“Seem like you are busy, maybe later” Sarah said and turned to leave.
“No mom! What happened?” Kylie said almost yelling.
“I wish to take you to the clan now”
Kylie shot her eyes wide open as a soft l-ips curved into a smile.
“I’ll be down in a sec!” She replied and jumped to her wardrobe.
“Wear something warm. It’s going to be a cold night” Sarah said and left the room.
Kylie couldn’t reply. She just want to see how the rest of the witches look like. She thought that they would wear pointy caps with dark robe and have pointed nose. She also thought they fly with weird brooms or flying mat.
She had a lot of silly things on her mind.
She quickly wore her dress and went to meet her mom.
She adjusted the tip of her huge sweater before leaving her room and tied her hair into a pony.

Sarah smiled when she saw her daughter. They got into the car and hit the road.
They drove into the woods and pulled over.
Kylie was confused. She was expecting some mysterious mansion with bats flying around but there she was, in the middle of a forest.
“Let’s go Kylie” Sarah snapped, bringing her back to reality.
Kylie scoffed and alighted from the car.
They both walked towards a huge rock.
“Wait mom! Where are we headed to? I don’t see any house here”
“You just have to calm down Kylie. We are there already” she said.
Kylie turned but still didn’t see anything. She folded her arm and followed her mother till they appeared in front of the rock.
Sarah joined her palms together and chanted some words.
The rock slowly separated as usual.
Kylie eyes shot wide open.
It was then she fully believed that her mother was a witch.
“Come on, let’s go” she said.
Kylie glared at her mother and stared at the rock again.
She was confused.
She followed her mother behind with her arms still folded.
She saw a lot of people staring at her.
“Mom?” She called out.
“Hmm?” Her mother replied.
“Why are they staring at me?” She asked.
“New face”
Kylie nodded and stared back at them. Some of them were eating, some were playing cards. Everyone were busy with one thing or the other.
“Just don’t stare at them. They don’t know you that’s why”
“I see, then where are we going?” Kylie asked her mother.
“Elina’s chamber” she replied.
They climbed the stairs and came across some huge curtain.
As they were about to pass through, Kylie bumped into someone.
“Oh my, I’m sorry” they both said at the same time.
Kylie raised her head and saw a very handsome dude. He was tall with brown curly hair. He had blue eyes and very cute l-ips.
Even his voice sent shivers down her spine.
“He’s so cute” she murmured.
“Hey, I apologise. It’s my fault” he said.
“Oh, it’s nothing. I’m also sorry”
“Kylie!”
She heard her name.
“I have to go. Bye!”
“Wait, I haven’t seen you around before. Are you new here?” He asked.
Before Kylie could utter a word, her mother came.
“Sorry for that Jasper. Did she do anything to you?”
Kylie glared at her mother.
“Mom?”
Jasper laughed.
“No aunt Sarah. It’s been a long time”
“Very well then. See you around” she said and pulled Kylie out of there.
Jasper smiled and left there.
Kylie folded her arms in anger.
“Mom? Do you have to say that?”
“I was just teasing him. He’s my friend’s son. Elina’s son”
“Oh, that’s explain why he’s so cute” Kylie smirked.
“Cuter than Jackson?” Her mother jokingly asked.
“A million times, yes!” Kylie replied and continued walking.
Sarah couldn’t help but laugh.
They sighted Elina who was reading a book.
She heard footsteps and quickly turned her neck.
“Sarah?”
“It’s me Elina. How are you doing?” She asked as they hugged each other.
“Very well, thank you” she replied as they disengaged from the hug.
“Who is this beautiful damsel?”
“She’s Kylie, my daughter” Sarah replied.
Elina gasped.
“Wow! I’m glad to meet you in person” she said and also hugged Kylie.
Kylie smiled in reply.
She didn’t believe this young lady was the head of the witches clan.
“Why did you come here? You know it’s not safe. Bob can show up here at any time”
“Why?” Sarah frowned.
“He’s looking everywhere for you. I think he’s at the city asking everyone for Sarah. He believes that he’ll find you so that he can find Kylie”
“That’s so stupid. What do I do now?” Sarah asked.
“I have no idea. I can perhaps give you some of the potion I made that can kill the vampires. It doesn’t work on us, just them”
“You’ve finally gotten it right?” Sarah laughed.
Elina nodded and reached for the potion. She wrapped two bottles and gave it to Sarah.
“Come on, we have a lot to discuss about. Thank goodness we haven’t had dinner” Elina said and clapped her hands.
Two people entered into the room.
“Yes, your honor!”
“Get the table ready. Table for four!”
They bowed and left.
Kylie frowned.
“Who is the fourth person?” She asked.
“My son!” Elina replied with a smile.
Kylie also smiled in reply. She turned her face away from them.
She can’t believe she would eat with the cute guy.
“Jasper is back. I didn’t believe it till I saw him” Sarah said.
“Yes. I’m glad he’s finally back” Elina replied.

Few minutes later.
They had dinner and started talking about random things.
Kylie saw how happy her mother was when she’s with Elina.
“Kylie, your mom told me you’re dating a vampire”
Kylie stared at her mother and nodded.
Jasper smirked and sipped from his juice.
“Just don’t tell that you are a Demigod” she said.
“Yes ma’am” Kylie replied.
“Come, let’s leave here” Jasper said to Kylie.
She stood up immediately and left with him.

They went to a quiet room that was filled with books and potions.
Kylie checked it out and turned to stare at Jasper.
“What are these?”
“They are potions” he replied.
“Wow. So do they drink it or what?”
Jasper gave a wry laugh and walked towards a potion.
“Let me show you how it’s done” he said and stretched his hands over it.
He closed his eyes and chanted some words.
“This is a thought spell”
“What’s that?” She asked.
Jasper took her hands and wrapped his hands around it.
“Think about something” he said.
Kylie smiled.
“Okay?” She closed her eyes and thought about something.
After some seconds, she heard Jasper chuckled.
She opened she eyes and stared at him.
“You must really love him a lot”
“Love who? What are you talking about?” She asked.
“You are thinking about the k×ss. He k×ssed you in the storeroom”
Kylie shot her eyes wide open.
“How can you tell?” She asked.
“It’s in the potion”
He said and nodded into the pot.
Kylie checked the pot and saw when Jackson k×ssed her.
“Oh my world. I was thinking about that because…”
“That was your first k×ss. It’s okay” he said and snapped his fingers.
The image in the potion disappeared.
Kylie walked towards Jasper.
“You should teach me this potions”
Jasper stared at her. He was looking low at her because she was short.
“Anytime you are ready, I’m ready” he said.
Kylie bit her lower l-ips.
“Okay” she whispered and left the room.
Jasper gazed at her as she left the room.
He adjusted his robe and left the room also.
