🐺 ARTHUR 🐺

There was nothing i hated more than being unable to help someone in their hour of need especially those that meant a lot to me. I felt pathetic, useless and angry at myself.
The time of Gwen’s trial was minutes away and there was nothing I could do to rescue her. I felt guilty for letting her take a blame that was supposed to be mine and thanks to me, her life was now in peril.
After I told Petra my secret, I left the house and walked over to the park and stay there staring at the sun, which after a while sank down and gave way for the moon and the darkness to take cover the sky.
I waited and watched as the Full moon appeared in the sky, it was fully bright and its rays was enough to power up any werewolf that had transformed tonight. While I was staring at the full moon, I heard footsteps heading towards my direction and as it got closer, I began to perceive some scent.
I quickly stood up as I perceived Petra’s scent but she wasn’t alone, the other one was vague to me. The footsteps were getting closer and my anxiety level was rising. In that moment, Petra appeared with Gwen’s little brother. Both of them were pooped and breathing hærd ; probably due to the fact they ran all the way here.

Petra ➡ there he is….Arthur!!

Arthur ➡ Petra. Why are you here?
.

Jake ➡ As much as I hate to say this.. It’s sure good to see you.
.

Arthur ➡ You’re Gwen’s brother! What are you doing here?
.

Jake ➡ My sister needs you.
.

Petra ➡ You have to save your girlfriend Arthur. Her life will be toast if you don’t do something.
.

Arthur ➡ Gwen told me not to do anything. I’m sure he will be fine.
.

Jake ➡ FINE? listen to me you fossil. My sister’s life is minutes away from being taken. She’s in this mess because of you.
.

Arthur ➡ I understand and I would do anything to save her but the risk is too high. Gwen knows that. If I go and save her, it will prove that we were both in alliance and she might be killed.
.

Jake ➡ She will still die if you don’t do something.
.

Arthur ➡ No.. Gwen won’t die. Your family won’t turn their backs on her.
.

Jake ➡ SHUT UP!!! What makes you think that they haven’t? Dad hates her and he’s disown her. She’s on her own. Xavier can’t save her either.
If She’s goes on trial tonight, The council will sentence her to death. This I know. This isn’t about proving her innocence. They just want to make an example of her. You need to act now. If Gwen dies, I’ll expose you. I swear it. SAVE HER NOW!!!

Judging from the gleam threatening eyes of Gwen’s brother, I knew was serious about what he said.
I couldn’t believe that Gwen’s family did this to her. How could they abandoned like this without finding out the truth of the matter. There was denying what would happen at the trial and Gwen’s fate was eminent, the council will sentence her to death for sure.
Without saying any words to both Petra and Jake, I took off with sonic speed to the vampire embassy to rescue Gwen. Her life was more precious than my identity and even if Omhigan were to see what I look like, I don’t care. If he dares let him come and face me one on one, I’ll be sure to finish him this time around.

Suddenly as I was heading to the embassy, My instincts were scre-ming signs of danger and it was coming from the embassy. There was also a familiar foul smell and it was that of Omhigan. In that instant, I ran as fast as I could heading towards the embassy. It was no surprise that Omhigan was going after Gwen to kill her now that she has been linked to me but still I was surprised that he was this stupid enough to show himself publicly like this.
If things go right, Gwen might be set free and Omhigan’s identity will be exposed to all and the most important thing is that the curse will be finally broken.

Geez, What a crowd!

The time for my trial had finally arrived and a lot of people came to see how it was all going to go down. I’ve seen lots of gathering at wild parties but this was too much.
First there were vampires obviously and then some witches / wizards (what the f–k are they doing here) and lastly are the humans which were least in number. I also forgot to mention the crowds that were outside the embassy calling out for my head, even before I was brought into the trial room, Those b–stards threw dirt at me calling awful names.

Here in,side the trial room, There were a lot of familiar faces ; there was my family, Mom, dad and the rest, and then there were the other prominent vampire family members even the great Orlando was present in the room . My ex and nemesis, Adrian and Leona were present as well and speaking of Leona, the b–tch was busy smiling wickedly at me. I ignored her completely cause there was nothing she could do to rile me up.
My bestie, Emma and her boyfriend Gilgamesh were present as well, Their faces was a bit sad and they were both making gestures to me that everything was going to be okay but I know that’s not true. Nothing is going to be okay.

While I was locked up in the dungeon back at the mansion, I’ve taken time to think about what was going to happen here. The council would definitely sentence me to death, after all none of the vampires except for some few liked me at all. They saw me as a wild card and have been trying to get rid off me and now they have the opportunity to do so.
I really don’t want to die cause I love the life I’m leaving but the concept of death itself has never frightened me. Everyone will die when their times comes, that’s the natural order of this and if this is how I’m going to go out then so be it. Although, If there was a way to save the child growing in me, I would have. It’s such a bad timing to be pregnant at this moment. Pregnancy isn’t part of my agenda but that’s what happens if one has unprotected s-x which is what I’ve been doing with Arthur.
It’s a shame that I wouldn’t get to see him and let him know that I’m carrying his child and if anyone here were to know about my present condition , it will only worsen my case even more. So the best for me to do is shut my mouth.

After a while, The council appeared into the room and took their seats, Everyone kept quiet the moment the council members took their seat and once everywhere was quiet, the trial began.
Before the council showed up, I was already brought forth before the crowd and the council table in silver chains and placed in the *Sacred circle*.
The Sacred circle is a marked s₱0t in the middle of the trial room, where criminal vampires stood and faced judgment but there’s more. High above the circle, there was a magical door shaped exactly like the Sacred circle and the saying goes that this magic door is a inter-dimensional portal that could take anyone to anywhere the council wished.
But the council only use this inter dimensional portal for punishment either to send an offender to a dark realm with no life to suffer and die in solitude till the end of time or the summon a ray of sunlight that would burn the offender to ashes.

So this was where I stood and I had no idea what kind of sentence the council would throw at me once this is all over.
As soon as the trial began, The head council Severin looked down on me from his high table before giving an awful speech about me.

Severin ➡ Greetings Everyone, It’s a pleasure to see everyone gathered here this evening to witness the end of one of our own, who has been deceiving us and spoiling our reputation.
Tonight we shall cast this traitorous offender and make an example to all those who wish to take on this traitorous road.

Gwen rom-nov…

Gwen ➡ 😏 PRESENT!

Crowd ➡ (gasps and murmurs)
.

Severin ➡ SILENCE! You dare to interrupt me?
.

Gwen ➡ Yes? After all, I’m just an offender facing trial right? (Laughs)
.

Severin ➡ Let’s see if you can laugh only this is over…. I’m sure Everyone here know Gwen rom-nov. Daughter of derrick rom-nov.
.

Derrick ➡ She’s not my daughter. Not anymore.
.

Gwen ➡ No hærd feelings. I’m glad that you’re not my father either. No more stupid rules to follow.
.

Derrick ➡ Insolence child.
.

Severin ➡ ENOUGH!! Gwen rom-nov, you’ve been charged with the crimes of collaborating with a killer werewolf? Hoe do you plead? Guilty or not guilty?
.

Gwen ➡ Before I answer that question, I have something to say. My boyfriend is not a killer! The real murderer here is Omhigan.
.

Crowd ➡ (shocked) WHAT?
.

Vampire 1 ➡ Boyfriend?
.

Vampire 2 ➡ She’s in love with a werewolf?
.

Wizard ➡ Omhigan?
.

Severin ➡ What are you talking about?
.

Gwen ➡ I’m sure you all know who Omhigan is. The genocidal goblin that our ancestors fought. He’s alive and well, and he’s the reason behind all this problems.
.

Witch 1 ➡ Liar! Omhigan is dead. There’s no way he could have survived all this time.. It’s been millions of years ago.
.

Leona ➡ Don’t you all see? She’s trying to fool us and confuse us.
.

Gwen ➡ B–tch shut the f–k up!… Omhigan is alive.. I don’t know how but he is. I’ve seen him. He’s planning to finish what he started.
.

Severin ➡ This is nonsense! You’re wasting time. Do you really think we’d believe you?
.

Gwen ➡ I have proof! That big hairy boyfriend of mine is a hybrid. A creation mixed with vampire and werewolf blood. Throughout our lives we’ve been fooled that our ancestors were enemies but it’s not true. Omhigan is behind all this. He cursed us all to hate one another and tear each other apart. I’m not saying this because I’m trying to confuse you all. My fate is sealed and I’m ready for whatever comes next but you have to understand, everyone in this world is in danger. Omhigan is still alive.

Despite what I said nobody believed me, they kept calling me a liar and called out for my immediate execution.
.

Severin ➡ This nonsense has gone to far.. SILENCE!!!
.

Crowd ➡ (mute)
.

Severin ➡ Gwen rom-nov! For so long, you’ve been nothing but trouble. Every where you go, you bring troubles to others and you don’t seem to care about the consequences. I’ve heard enough of your lies and you shall be punished according to the law.
You have been charged for collaborating a werewolf and you have also been charged for breaking one of the most sacred vampire laws. So I ask you one more time, Guilty or not guilty?

I kept quiet for a while and rubbed my stomach thinking about the bay in me. It’s obvious I’m going to die here in front of everyone and I’ll be damned if I’m going to plead my for life in front of these losers. I can’t be angry with them cause they’re all under the influence of Omhigan’s curse. It’s better to die here than to live in shame and ridicule. After making my decision, I looked up to the head council and gave him my answer.

Gwen ➡ You want an answer? Well here’s my answer… GUILTY! I’m guilty and you know what, I don’t regret anything I’ve done. I take my chances with the consequences that comes next.
.

Severin smiled and stood up looking at the crowd, he wasted no time in reading out my sentence loud and clear.
.

Severin ➡ Gwen rom-nov for your crimes against the general public and the treason you’ve committed, you have been found guilty. You have been sentenced into the eternal realm of darkness where you will spend the rest of your life alone until the end of time. OPEN THE PORTAL.
.

In that moment, the wh0le room shook tremendously as if we’ve been hit by a bomb. Before long, loud cries of panic could be heard outside the embassy as people ran for their lives, Shortly after that, there was a mighty roar that set fear into the heart of everyone, including me. Before we could all react, a big hideous bird monster smashed it’s way into the trial room and began to wreck havoc ; It mauled through the crowd crushing them to death one by one. In that moment, I saw Olivia standing in fright as the moment made his way towards her and without a moments pulse, I jumped in and rescued her pushing her out of harm’s way.

Before the monster could grab hold of me, I did the best I could to fight it off but the silver chains made me weak to inflict any pain on the big brute. Before I could realize it, I was smacked hærd by the monster, the impact sent me flying across the room right back to the Sacred circle.
Meanwhile, Xavier and some males in the trial room began to fight off the monster, they were about to subdue it when surprised them by blasting fire from it’s mouth. The fire burned some and killed some of the men but Xavier managed to move at out harm’s way, He kept on fighting the monster but he was soon over powered by the monster due to the intense flame thrown at him.
After taking care of Xavier and the others, The monster made it’s way towards me in great speed baring out it’s claws. Suddenly, Someone came to my rescue and punched the monster so hærd that it smashed through the wall of the embassy and fell outside. I looked up and realized that my savior was Arthur.

Gwen ➡ ARTHUR!
.

Arthur ➡ Gwen! It’s good to see you.
.

Gwen ➡ Me too. I thought I was never going to see you again.
.

Arthur ➡ Well, I’m here now and everything is going to be fine.
.

In that moment, Arthur and I shared a passionate k-ss and while we were doing that, we didn’t realize that all eyes was on us until we were done.
Everyone looked at us both wondering what was going on, they all gasped in shock the second they realize who Arthur really is.
.

Crowd ➡ It’s him.. The giant werewolf. It’s got to be him. SEIZE HIM!!
.

Xavier ➡ It can’t be.. So that’s him?
.

Leona ➡ That’s.. That’s the school custodian. His name is Arthur.
.

Gwen ➡ Babe. You have to leave… NOW!
.

Arthur ➡ I’m not leaving you again. I’m taking you with me.
.

Gwen ➡ Where!? The wh0le world will be looking for us, we’ll be fugitives.
.

Arthur ➡ Maybe, but I know where we can go and hide away from the rest of the world but I’ll have you leave this all behind you. Are you ready?
.

This decision was a big one and a life changer, it would definitely take me a while to think through and give my answer but before that could happen, the monster returned one more time, bigger and angrier than ever.
Without delay, Arthur immediately transformed into his other form before everyone. As soon as he was in wolfire form, He howled out loud before confronting the monster.

HOOOOWWWWLLLLLLLL.
.

Watching Arthur collide with this monster made my body twitched excitedly. It was like witnessing 2 titans collide in a heated battle. The fight was pretty intense and mind blowing, and this is how it all turned.

Arthur who was on the offensive, slashed the monsters with his claws tearing his flesh piece by piece, but the monster too attacked biting Arthur’s left arm hærd.
Arthur howled in pain as he felt that bite, he grabbed hold of the monster and began to smash him around the room like a sledge hammer. He soon grabbed the monster’s face and scrubbed it on the wall like a brush.
Before long, there was blood everywhere and the battle got really messy. Everyone moved out of harms way as these freaks of nature collided but I didn’t. Being on the verge of defeat, the monster decided to use his flames against Arthur but even that was futile. After dodging the first wave of flame, Arthur rushed in and bit the monster’s throat, he crushed his windpipe and then grabbed it’s beak tearing it open. The monster struggled trying to escape, but Arthur finished it off by tearing off it’s head, hands and legs from it’s body and just like that everything was over.
Despite being victorious, Arthur too was badly injured but thanks to his regenerative healing ability, his wounds were starting to heal. I rushed to his side to check on him just in case.

Gwen ➡ Oh Arthur, you’re a hero. You saved everyone.
.

Severin ➡ NOT SO FAST.
.

Arthur and I turned around and saw Severin behind an dozen armed police men, they all had silver firing rifles in their hands which they pointed at me and Arthur. Some of the people that were still alive gathered around to see what would happen.
.

Gwen ➡ What’s this?
.

Severin ➡ You and your monstrous lover are coming with us.
.

Gwen ➡ You can’t be serious. He just saved your lives.
.

Severin ➡ It doesn’t matter. This little act doesn’t expunge the crimes you both committed. Arrest them and if they resist, KILL THEM.
.

In that moment, I felt really mad and angry. Even after all that courageous deed, these heartless pigs won’t even consider it. I looked at the faces at the people in the court including the ones I knew and I thought about Arthur’s proposal. Staying here in New-york was impossible now that everyone has seen Arthur’s identity. It’s best if he and I dealt with this issue ourselves but in order to do that, we have to run away and hide in a place where we will both be safe.

Gwen ➡ This isn’t over. We will not let it end here.. ARTHUR RUN!!!
.

After that outburst, I jumped on Arthur’s back and he took off with sonic speed, jumping through the window. It was 10 feet to the from the trial room to the ground but we made it. As soon as we hit the ground, the crowd shouted in fear and dispersed running in all directions. Arthur and I took off as well running straight towards the exit of the city. Before long, we were being chased by dozens of police cars and helicopters ; they were driving incredibly fast to catch up to us but they were no match for Arthur’s incredible speed.
Within minutes, we arrived at the bridge which was our main exit but there was already a blockade of Special trained ops with guns, silver grenades and harpoon. Arthur and I halted in our tracks trying to find a way out, but our solution soon came to us.
Gilgamesh and Emma appeared right next to us shortly after we arrived at the bridge, we were surprised to them but it seems they’ve been following us.

Emma ➡ Man, Arthur you’re so fast.
.

Wolfire ➡ (growls)
.

Gwen ➡ Emma, you guys should leave. If they see…
.

Gilgamesh ➡ Relax, nobody saw us.
.

Emma ➡ So this is it, huh? You’re leaving aren’t you?
.

Gwen ➡ We have to. This place isn’t safe anymore.
.

Gilgamesh ➡ I can help with that. I have a place where you stay in peace.
.

Emma ➡ I’ll miss you Gwen.
.

Gwen ➡ Me too.
.

Emma ➡ What about Omhigan?
.

Gwen ➡ We’ll keep fighting him. This won’t stop, he must be stopped. I’m sure he’s going to do everything in his power to find us.
.

Gilgamesh ➡ We’ll keep fighting him here as well. You two need to lay low. I promise you. We will expose him.
.

Gwen ➡ Thanks Gil. See you all soon.
.

Emma ➡ Goodbye Gwen. Until we meet again.
.

Emma and I shared a warm hug for a while and then broke away from each other. After that, Gilgamesh opened a portal big enough for me and Arthur to get in and as soon as he did that, we looked back at our friends before jumping into it.
