Chapter 18:

The two of them went in search for her outside the castle, into the woods.

Diana has lost her way, and she stood confused not knowing what to do.

There were four pathways and she doesn’t know which to follow. Taking the straight road nor returning back wasn’t Diana’s choice, neither taking the left or right turn is.

Which way is then?

She decided to take the straight road when she heard voices. She quickly went into the forest to hide, waiting to see who it was coming.

There he came with a lady beside him. They stopped and she hid her body behind a tree.

But unknown to her, werewolves aren’t just animals nor ordinary humans. He could hear her heart beat echoing like a drum in his ears.

” She’s here, ” he said, looking at the direction of the tree she was hiding.

She knows… She knows he has seen her.

She left her hiding place, running more deeper into the woods. He alongside with Bella chased after her.

She kept running that she didn’t know she was reaching to the dead end of the road.

She slipped and tumbled several times down the hill, landing her head against a stone.

She gro-ned, rubbing her forehead. She stood to continue only to find him standing before her.

She turned to make an attempt of following the other side when he grabbed her by the hand, pulling her back and slamming her angrily against a tree.

He held her throat tight, frowning at the rolls of blood that fell out of her forehead.

She struggled to let go but his grip was way too stronger than her effort.

” Where do you think you’re going to? ” He angrily asked, folding his fist tighter around her neck.

He could feel the pains as if he were strangling himself, the feelings as if his air lungs were gradually getting closed.

And he hated why he was feeling that way, especially now he wanted to punish her for disobeying.

” Derek, stop! ” Bella yelled and he immediately let go off her.

Diana fell to the ground, almost coughing out her lungs. ” What were you thinking? ” She asked, throwing him an angry gaze.

” Come on, ” she helped her stand to her feet, ” let’s take you home. ” She held her for support as they returned back to the castle.

Even as they walked back, Diana still held her neck. They got to her room, sitting on the bed.

” I’m sorry, ” she apologized on behalf of Derek, ” he didn’t mean to hurt you. I mean, it wasn’t supposed to be this way. ”

Diana said nothing. She can’t stop imagining her state of being if Bella hadn’t intervened. Where would she have been by now?

” What were you thinking? How on earth did you walk pass through those guards? ”

Diana still kept mute at her.

” Look, I know you’re angry and you have every right to be. I understand what it feels like to be taken against your will, to choose a life you don’t want to live. But,,,, you wouldn’t have been here if we had to inform you first. ”

” You don’t know what it feels like to be taken from the people you love, ” she finally talked, ” from your dreams, your career, your future, your happiness. It’s the most painful thing you ever want to taste, cos it hurts… a lot. ”

” I understand. ”

” No, you don’t. ” She said, painfully. ” None of you do. It’s like loosing the wh0le world, everything you’ve risked for just for some f-cking destiny. ”

” Diana… ”

” Don’t call my name! ” She yelled. ” I just wanna go home, I wanna be free and far away from here. I just wish this is all a dream. I just hate it here, I hate everything in here! ” She bursted out in tears.

Bella pulled her into a hug, ” It’s okay to hate it here, and it’s totally fine to hate everyone of us. But I just wanna let you know, sometimes we find ourselves in a circ-mstances we can never run away from and we’re just left to face it just the way it is. No matter how hærd we try to fight it away, it ends up coming the more. We have no choice, Diana, but to follow whatever fate decides for us. ”

” It’s not that easy, ” she said in between the sob, sniffing hærd.

” I know, it never is. But you have to, Diana, you have to give it a try. ”

She left her to sleep, shutting the door gently behind her. She headed to her room when he came out of nowhere, stopping her in her tracks.

” How is she? ” He asked.

” She’s fine, she’s asleep. ” She sighed. ” I think she needs some time to think and accept her fate. ”

” How long? ”

” I don’t know. ” She shook her head. ” I think you should give her some space, she’ll get to understand the bond sooner than you’ll expect. ”

She left to her room.

From where he stood, he could feel the pains he has caused her. And it burnt him like he had done it to himself.

Back in the woods, he could have strangled her to death. If not of Bella, he almost went extra mile to punish her.

He has always hated humans for one thing… the same thing all the time… Disobedience.

But why…?

Why would she behave like them? Why will she try to hurt him? And why would she want him to hurt her too?

He has to give her some time to realize her fate, but how long will that have to take?
How long does he have to wait for her… To accept her destiny?

Days…?
Weeks…??
Months…??
Or even… Years???

The thoughts bothered him, that he couldn’t stop hating himself for doing what he did in the woods. He wasn’t ready to look into those pleading eyes, those eyes that begged him for mercy.

He has longed to stare into them, but when he finally did, anger took over him. How is she now? Is she okay? Does it still hurts?

Why is it only him who understands this feelings more than anyone?
Why all of a sudden was he feeling so weak, so loosed just because of one human?

He wanted to go to her room, but on a second thought he declined. The two thoughts battled in his head and he was left with no choice but to go even though there wasn’t any winner between his conscience.

He pulled the door knob down, making way for himself into her room. Everywhere was dark, but he could see her body laid on the bed.

He didn’t want to disturb, he sat beside her. He loves to watch her sleep and she looks adorable while she sleeps, her breath felt soft against the skin as she breathed calmly.

And he can’t help but stare at her peaceful slumber with compassion and gratitude. Just being by her side feels heaven.

Staring at those l-ips made him want to have them in his, the urge gradually growing and almost about to go climaxed, he stood up.

Taking in a deep breath. ” No, not now. ” He consoled himself, staring at her for the last time.

He left.

Chapter 19:

Uncle Kelvin ✓

The wh0le city has been seriously searching for Diana ever since we reported the case about her sudden disappearance.

At first, I thought she was taken by those same people who wanted her dead. Then I came to realize that the one person in the city who desperately wants her was her mate.

And if my guess is right, then she’s probably at the wolf pack with him.

After I came to a conclusion about the source of her disappearance, I stopped bothering searching for her anymore.

He has finally taken her, and not even the cops can find her. I sat comfortably on my couch with my leg crossed over the other.

My fingers were busy as I typed on my laptop. Tracy walked in, looking upset at the way I showed no concern about Diana’s case.

She has been the over working one for the search and for the past three days, she hasn’t have a good night nap.

” You should be getting ready by now and not this. ” She said, pointing at what I was doing.

” Tracy, I realized that we are only wa-isting our time in this search. ” I tried to explain but she wouldn’t listen.

” When has searching for your niece become a wa-ist of time, Kel?” She shook her head at me, ” I can’t believe you’re saying this, kel. What do you think you’re gonna say to her parents? ”

” We’ll tell them nothing. ” I simply said.

” Nothing? ” She scoffed.

” Yes, nothing. ”

” Jesus Christ, kel, tell me you’re not being serious about this. ”

” I am, Tracy. ” And she saw how serious I was about it. I held her hand to sit beside me, ” Look, you’ve got to know something, sometimes we ought to be calculative over some cases. ” I adjusted myself on the chair, ” Apart from the killers who hurt Diana, who else do you think might have done this? ” I asked.

Tracy wasn’t that good at guessing, so it was difficult for her to guess who it might be. ” I don’t know. ”

” Come on, babe, think. That one person who wants her so desperately. ”

She thought for awhile, and after a minute of waiting, the two words escaped her mouth, ” The wolf? ” Sounding more like a question.

” The wolf. ” I repeated. ” Now, you see my reasons for feeling so reluctant over the search. ”

” Oh, ” she curved her l-ips in an ‘ o ’ shape, ” why didn’t I realise this for a long time. Urghh. ” She grunted angrily, slapping her forehead. ” But, do you think she will be safe there? ”

” The wolf packs is the safest place she can ever be. Moreover, her killers won’t be able to find her. ”

” What about Sparrow and the cops, don’t you think they have to know about this? ”

” Not yet, ” I protested. ” Even if we should, we must find something more presentable to tell them. No one has to know about her relationsh¡p with the wolves beside us. ”

Tracy nodded her head in agreement.

I have been awake since 3am, I couldn’t sleep anymore. And even if I wanted, the urge to sleep was gone.

I’m lost in thoughts and I really don’t know what to do. My fate has already been decided and I can’t do anything about it.

I was staring out of the window, the moon was so beautiful even though it was in it’s half. My dream came recalling in my memory, that which I had the day I was discharged from the hospital.

First, his voice stopping me from what I wanted to do, and how obedient I felt to it. Then his grip on my wrist, I can’t forget the spark of his touch on me and the sudden weakness to his closeness.

He looked adorable in my dream, but when I saw his face in the woods, those adorable face wore nothing but burning anger.

I thought of that moment to be my last, then everything about me will cease to exist. I was likewise hoping it would be the last, then I will have to be free, free from the terror of his threats.

I know being here was my fate, uncle Kelvin always told me that almost everyday. It’s easy to say that but, it’s just so difficult to accept it, especially when your soul mate is an animal.

A girl entered, setting the hot water ready. She shifted the curtains aside, letting the light rays to penetrate in.

She was so good looking to be a maid, there’s probably going to be a reason behind it, I guess.

” Miss, ” she called, ” Miss? ”

” I’m awake. ” I told her.

” Oh. Your water is ready, you may want to take your bath now. ” I sat up on the bed, stretching. ” And so is your breakfast. ” Her eyes darted to the tray on the table.

” Thanks. ” I said.

” It’s nothing, it’s my job. ” She said with a smile.

” What’s your name? ” I asked. Guess that was actually necessary.

” My name is May, ” she answered.

” I’m Diana. ” I told her, ” Nice to meet you May. ”

” Nice meeting you too, Miss. ”

” Can you just get over with the Miss already? Just call me Diana, okay? ”

” But… ”

She wanted to refuse but I interrupted. ” Just do it. ”

” Nice meeting you too, Diana. ”

I smiled.

I entered into the bathroom, I sank myself into the tub contained with hot water, leaving only my head high. I closed my eyes as I sat still in it, loving the way the air blew into the bathroom, resting on my skin.

I felt a hand touch my shoulders, car-ssing it gently. I quickly opened my eyes, looking to my back to see if there was anyone in the bathroom with me.

There was no one, and I could have heard the sound of the door open and close if actually there was anyone.

I shut my eyes close again. Again, the hands rested on my shoulder, trailing down to my chest. I placed my hands on my chest, hoping to touch the hands but I ended up touching myself instead.

” Hello? May? ” I called, ” Is there anyone there? ”

” I am, ” I heard her say.

Then what the heck is happening?

I decided not to close my eyes this time, I will have to see who it is if my eyes are both alerted. But it came again.

This invisible hands held my shoulders, I could feel it on me… I can feel it.

The cold feelings of it’s touch on my skin and the pleasure which followed after, I didn’t want to resist it anymore.

The feeling was unique, the feeling was new and I have never felt it before, not even with Jake.

The mesmerizing moves was increasing and the passion was growing deeper. And I was wishing this was reality but… Was it??

It felt real, so real and I will doubt if this was just a dream. I was loving it, and honestly, I wished it would never stop.

My n-pples were becoming hærd and my abdomen cried in want. I felt those l-ips on my cheek, placing a soft k-ss at each sides of my face.

Then on my nose, making its way down to my l-ips when May called. ” Diana? ” I opened my eyes only to find out that indeed, it was just an act of my imagination. ” Diana are you still in there? ” She called again, sounding concerned.

” Yes, I’m almost done. ” I said, frowning at her disturbance.
