CHAPTER NINETEEN: THE INCIDENT 1
Muchen look at Jing, in my years of living I haven’t met a woman that behaves this way, especially a human ” tell me something” I step back with only few inches and look at her ” what do you plan on gaining in killing my child?” I do not care if the child is alive or dead, I have no need for an heir.
And that’s simply because I do not die.
” What do you mean ”
” The ball must have been cancelled now, nobles, royals, queens and everyone will head back to their home and then rumors will spread about what queen Mona said to you ”
” You believe her didn’t you? ”
” You didn’t deny it” I look down at her ” do you want people to think that you are the cause of the child death?”
” What if I am? Will you expose and kill me?”
” I have no strength to do such a thing ” I notice how she look at me, she has always try her best to read my thoughts, but whenever I notice that, I will even make my expression more void. ” You killing the child is none of my business ”
” It’s your child!” She frown ” aren’t you supposed to hate me? Even wish to kill me ”
” The child would have been weak anyway, the Mother is useless too ” mumbling, my gaze move to the full moon, full moons are the worst, especially for lycans, I just hope none of them are in my region ” what do you think about the curse?” I look back at her ” curses work, you know, you might never get to conceive ”
” That’s ridiculous” she turn around ” enjoy your time in this balcony, am going back to my quarters ”
” Jing ”
” What else do you wish to tell me?”
” I wish to have you naked in my bed” she look at me with red cheeks and shocked expression” not tonight, after whatever deal you made with this ghoul of a guy, I will be expecting to see you naked on my bed and in my chamber ”
” You must be joking, right?”
” The opposite” moving close, I stop an inch away from her ” you have killed the heir to the throne and I simply wish to make another ” she didn’t speak another word ” or do you wish for queen xiang to be the next…” She cut me off
I watch her move closer, looking up to stare at me ” you dare not ” she bite her lower lip but I just remain there, watching her ” how do you know of the deal ”
” A very lucky guess ” smile came naturally to my face, even if it didn’t reach my eyes, it still a smile ” which now lead me to asking, which deal did you make?”
“You ask unwanted questions milord ” and with that I watch her leave the balcony, looking down, I just don’t know why I can’t read her completely, she should be like an open book, a woman should learn to rely on her man.
Am certainly not her man but she should learn to rely on me, she should do that, “why not lean on my shoulders and let me protect you?” I murmur more to myself.
This is why I said, she is different from other women I have known.
” Milord?” I didn’t have to turn around to know it’s li-mu ” what you asked have been arranged”
” And Mona?”
” She is unconscious in the physician ward ”
” Queen xiang?”
” In her quarters”
” Any funny movements?”
” Not that I know of ”
” Hmmm” I stare at Jing and Norman talking outside the hall, she has this laughter that I have never seen in her face before, so she do know how to laugh and that too, for that bastard? ” You can leave ”
” As you wish milord ” li-mu footsteps fade away and I continue to stare at Jing, Norman proceeded to touch her face, she didn’t flinch but ju-li pull her from Norman to his self, crowd were starting to form, watching them.
I notice the anger in both Norman and ju-li, how can two grown men fight for someone else wife, that too….the queen of the country, I could have them both beheaded but that will simply wasteful, ju-li is a great swordmaster and this country need him while Norman is needed for his wisdom.
I focus on the conversation completely and finally got to hear what they were saying ” do you realize you are holding a queen hand” Norman growl
” You my friend, have no right to try and touch her face!” Ju-li responded
” Milords, you two are being ridiculous ” jing growl, pulling her hands out of ju-li ” you are both drawing attention ”
” Ju-li is still simply a child, he do not understand the implications of his action ” Norman grin and I exhale, getting uninterested in their stupid game, I still can’t believe I pull Jing away from Norman earlier, my mind went completely blank and had no idea when my body reacted.
Now that am in my right senses, going there will simply be stupid. Looking down, Jing gaze rise up and notice me, I have no idea what my face is saying right now but she blush, why did she blush? And it was then I realized I was smiling at her, but why?
She move away from the nobles, her maid rushes to catch up with her while I use my hands to cover my mouth, how stupid have I become?
Was I happy because she left them standing there?
Jing Humm her favorite song while slowly getting rid of the flowers off her hair ” you seem very happy today my queen ”
” Indeed, the plan went super ” I smile ” and tomorrow all thoughts of me killing queen Mona will vanished and fall on someone else”
” Someone else?” Fang ask and I smile, knowing that I haven’t told her yet” just wait, you will be surprised” I mumble ” oh, and if any noise later erupt in the palace, please let me sleep in peace”
” I will leave you to rest ” fang footsteps vanish after the sound of the door, I quietly brush my hair, change into a red night garment and then move towards the window, I stare at the moon and lord Muchen words came back to me ( I wish to see you naked in my bed ) using my hands I cover my face, I must be heating red again.
” Are you sick” I shake my head ” what troubles you?” I wanted replying but then realized that am alone in my chamber, whoever is taking to me, is from the window.
Dropping my hands I stare at Edward Norton, that happens to be the ghouls full name ” Edward?” He is from England, am still surprised that england has such horrible creatures and no one know of them.
” I have done what you asked ” I stare at his face, those eyes blue ” you did mention them to be dealt with slowly ” I nod and smile ” here is the blood you asked for”
Collecting the blood I smile, I didn’t bother to tell fang about the blood, she should remain thinking that it will be paint, I just have to swift it before tomorrow morning.
It will make the miscarriage more believable.
” Did you enjoy ”
” I did Jing ” he frown, looking angry ” I notice a man staring down at you earlier, the king ” Edward lean close ” I do not like that ”
” I am married ” reminding him, I furrow my brows.
” Am aware ” his frown deepen ” doesn’t mean I like that ” not saying anything, I look around, happy that no one is watching.
” Why are you still here ”
” I came to see you ”
” You can only take me away, after the deal ”
He nod ” I know that ” I watch how he smile, anyone will mistake him for a human ” I wish for a kiss” my eyes widened and he chuckle ” on my cheek of course ”
” Oh”
” Unless you …..” I didn’t wait for him to change his mind before I kiss his cheek, I notice how his face turn a bit red, I know this ghoul likes me and he will be very useful to me.
Forget the fact that he thinks I will go away with him, I do not even wish to kill him, I just need him to keep on doing my bidding, I want him to be my loyal dog ” good night” I watch how he vanish, if I can make him my dog, I will also be invisible.
Right now, he wants me all for himself but I need him to know that I can only be with one person, which is lord Muchen and if he wish to take me from him, he should register as my personal butler to win me over.
I need him to finish what I ask of him, after they are all gone, I will be completely in control.
Smiling, I went back to humming my song and hiding the blood under my bed. Screams erupted in the palace but I just lay on my bed, eyes closed and body calm.
What a great outcome.

CHAPTER TWENTY: THE INCIDENT 2
Queen Mona woke up, feeling a little tired and sick “My queen ” Hun-li rush to her side “You are awake ”
” Is it true?” Looking at my reflection in the mirror, tears drop from my eyes ” I have lost my child? My one and only child?”
” Milady, please” Hun-li cried “You can always get another ”
” But why?” I just couldn’t believe Queen Jing did this to me ” I haven’t done anything evil ever to her!” Growling, I frown, all I have ever done was mind my business, was it my fault the king choose me over them? Why did they all have to try and ruin my life?
And she succeeded, she succeeded in killing my child but I promise her, I will make her regret, she will never live happy, not if am alive
” I suppose something else has happened?” I asked, looking at hun-li.
” Yes milady ” she lean close ” Queen Xiang is found dead in her quarters “My eyes widen at that “All her intestines and heart were gone, it was brutal ”
” Who would have done such a thing” I cover my mouth, I can’t imagine Queen Jing doing such a horrible thing, she surely is not wicked to that extent, but people can do surprising things due to anger.
Killing is a whole new level.
” It appears your curse works”
” My curse ”
” Queen Jing also lost her pregnancy this morning, she had a miscarriage” Hun-li mumbled” People believed that the same person who caused your miscarriage, did the same to Queen Jing ”
” That only means she is not the one responsible for my child’s death?” Hun-li nod and I use my hand to touch my stomach ” I lay such a curse on someone innocent, she did try to help me ”
” What do you plan on doing now?”
” Absolutely nothing ” laying down, I look at the ceiling “Has the king visited me?”
” No milady ”
I just have no idea why the king stop spending time with me, things change at once, it feels like someone new, a new character, a new personality, did queen Jing do something to him? Is she the reason for his sudden change?
” Mona ” Hearing that voice, I sit up slowly and watch lord Muchen step into the room, hun-li walk out and I look at him, not smiling, just dead glares ” I will think you’re angry with me ”
” You know Queen Jing did this to me, you did nothing” growling, I look at him with his fake expression, I knew that along, I knew he never felt what I did but as long as he stays with me, I have no issue ” our child!”
” Mona, calm down ” he pull out a chair and sit down “Queen Jing did nothing to you, she also lost her child this morning ” I watch how he hold my hand and stare at me ” I will get to the root of all these, okay ” I couldn’t help but to smile.
” Will you visit my chambers again?” Worry fills my voice “You have been so distant that I fear you hate me now “A tear drop from my eyes the moment he withdraws.
” I fear I will not be able to act the way I did before ” I watch how he suddenly becomes expressionless “One of my queens is dead, two lost a pregnancy from abortion pills, someone is truly after me ”
” Milord”
” Mona, I will try to spend time with you but Queen Jing has to come first “The mention of her name, made my face turn into a frown ” She needs more support right now ”
” Why her!” I had no idea when I rise my voice “Why do you choose her over me? I also lost a child, what’s the difference?”
” Title ” he frowns ” she is my first queen and you should know your place, do not compare her with you “The king has never growled at me before, but because of Queen Jing, he did.
I can’t help but hate her.
” I understand milord “Lying down, I listen to his footsteps fade away before I cry more, I just know I have lost him, I have lost the love of my life.
He was mine, mine alone but she took him away, clenching my hand I frown, I swear to make her regret this, she should be very wary of me, I swear to make her regret all of this!
” I suppose you are doing fine” queen mother look at me with suspicion on her face, why does she doubt my pregnancy so much, that isn’t important anymore, am no longer pregnant anyway.
” My stomach still hurts a little” tears drop from my eyes ” I still feel bad, if I had taken proper care of my child, I would still have my child ”
” You have to calm down, you can always conceive again ” she got up and frown down at me “You should be careful, nothing gets hidden forever”
” Your Highness” I look up at her ” I am passing through pains right now but all you could do is doubt me, why do you suddenly feel like am a horrible person? I have never done anybody wrong ”
And it’s true, I never use my hand to do any of the things I plotted, am innocent, they turned me into this.
” Forgive me ” her expression soften a little “You will get well soon ” And with that, she left, without saying any more words and I exhale, breathing calmly.
Everything I planned went on perfectly but something still annoys me, after queen Xiang’s death, the whole palace will be in a rush to find the culprit, why haven’t they tried checking each of the queen and concubine’s chambers?
Due to this fake miscarriage, I can’t even step out for now, I still need to pretend to be sick, it’s annoying. ” Milady ” Fang rush in ” I have news”
” News?”
” Yes milady ” she lean close ” The queen mother capture your physician, I heard she plans on torturing him till he admits the truth ”
” That witch ” I clench my hands, from all my plans, I didn’t expect her to act this way, if she discover that I was never pregnant, my impeachment will be close. What do I do?
” Milady, what do u plan to do?”
” Give me time alone fang ” she bow her head before leaving, the moment the door close shut, I look at the ceiling after laying down.
What should I plan to do now? I need to have a quick way out of this mess, I can’t have the queen mother up in my case. Do I kill her too? Killing doesn’t always solve everything.
” I suppose you wish to kill my mother ” Hearing that voice, I sit up and stare at Muchen ” You are becoming more than I can handle ”
” What do you mean?”
” I know you were the one behind Xiang’s death ” he frowns and steps closer ” Did you make deals with the ghoul? To kill people?”
” Don’t act like you know me ” frowning, I stand to my feet ” Don’t suddenly step into my room and act all interested in my life when you ever wanted to see me for five years!!” Yelling, I move closer to him “So don’t you come here, and try to make me feel like I have become horrible”
” Jing ” he smiled ” I don’t give a flying fuck about your past life and I would never ” I watched him step closer ” All that I can say to you right now, all that I need you to hear from me, is how disappointed I am” his words got to me like flying arrows ” I don’t expect my woman to go around killing people if am not the one doing it for you”
” What?”
” You do not make a ghoul think as you love him”
” What are you saying?”
” The stupid ghoul you kissed on the cheek” he grabbed me by the neck, and I notice how angry he looks “You belong to me, you don’t go around touching male animals that think about you sexually ” he lift me and I struggle for my life, I couldn’t breath ” you do not go around kissing damn ghouls!!!!!!”
” St…st..stop” forcing the words out of my mouth, he quickly let me down, I try catching my breath while he calms down a little.
” Are you okay, I…..” Lifting my hand, I stop him right where he is
” Stay away from me ” It was the first time in my life, I needed lord Muchen to be far away ” Please, go ”
