{ FOOL IN LOVE }
~ REX QUARTERS ~
“Dyslexia?”
“Yes, Dyslexia! She’s suffered from it since she was little and it’s mainly the reason why she didn’t finish school and chose to tour around the world ”
“Judging from what you told me about the map, Sephy isn’t the culprit, If it’s hard for her to read, how on earth will she be able to study a freaking map!” Violet yelled at Rex.
“Calm down Violet, let’s….”
“How can I be calm when that jerk shot my sister? Where is she? If anything happens to her then I will kill him, I will kill him” Violet screamed at Rex who was taken aback by her anger.
“It’s true that Raphael shot her but she’s okay cause there was no bullet in the gun” Rex said trying to calm her down and it did calm her for a while.
“Take me to see her, please Rex. I really want to see my sister” Violet pleaded even as tears glisten her eyes.
“Fine then, let’s go” he said taking hold of her hand.

~ RAPHAEL QUARTERS~
“How is she?” Raphael asked starring at the unconscious Sephy who is lying on the bed.
“She’s fine and the medication I gave her will put her to sleep until tomorrow” The doctor replied.
“Thanks ” Raphael said thanking the doctor who left the room.
Letting out a sigh, he sat on the bed starring at Sephy’s fragile face.
To him, the only way to know if some one is lying is if he or she is being threatened by a gun.
All evidence pointed to her and though he wanted to believe her Innocence, he just couldn’t take the risk since she’s some one who have lied in the past.
But one thing he realized while shooting the gun is that she’s innocent.
The look in her eyes when he shot at her didn’t waver, neither did it change to one of guilt.
Ruffling his hair in frustration, he took hold of her fragile hand starring down at her when the door open.
“Seraphina!” Violet called as she ran towards them.
Raphael got out of the way while Violet knelt by the bed side taking hold of Sephy hand.
“She wanted to see her sister, I had no choice but to bring her here” Rex muttered to Raphael who nodded in reply.
“There’s some thing I must tell you about Sephy, Violet told me about it which means that she….”
“You beast! You monster!” Violet called out even as she turn towards them.
“Now take it easy Violet, we should talk this out when….”
“You expect me to take it easy after what he did to Sephy? I can’t, I won’t !” Violet yelled at Rex in return.
“Leave us alone, Rex” Raphael said which got Rex starring at him.
“She has some things to say and so it’s best that I listen” Raphael added when Rex tried to say some thing.
“Take it easy you two” Rex warned before leaving the room.
“How could you have shot her? I know you are angry at her and want to exact revenge but her crime doesn’t warrant you doing this!”
“Infact she has no crime to pay for since am the one at fault” Violet screamed out in anger.
“I begged her even when she refused, I even resort to coercion just so she would help in stopping our marriage and having no choice, she chose to help me and though she thought of a bad plan, she did help me which is all that matters” Violet let out in anger.
“Have always wanted to ask you why, why did you choose to end the wedding?” Raphael asked.
“It’s because you are scary, you are a scary man Raphael and today you just prove to me that I made the right choice by not getting married to you” Violet replied hotly.
“I get it now, if you have nothing more to say it’s best that you ….”
“I still have a whole lot of things to say to you” she said cutting into his sentence.
“If you have a conscience you are going to let Sephy and I go ”
“Our mistake was making up that lie which made you a laughing stock in front of everyone. Am sorry, I apologise since it started because of me but we’ve been punished enough and it’s time you set us free” Violet added.
“It’s getting late, you should go to Rex ” Raphael said not giving her the answer she wanted to hear.
“So you insist in keeping us here? Well if that is what you want, we can’t fight you on that but please…don’t hurt Sephy again. She doesn’t deserve it” Violet pleaded as she turn to leave but remembering some thing, she turn to him.
“Between us both, Sephy is the kindest and that’s why she stood up for me at church. If you still want to blame some one then blame me” she said walking out of the room.
“Is everything okay?” Rex asked Violet holding onto her arm but she pushed it off.
“Don’t touch me! You are no different from him” she said.
“What did I do?” Rex asked after her but she was already walking off to hear him.
“Follow her and make sure she goes back to my Quarter ” he said to the guards who accompanied them before going to his brother.
“What did you say to Violet?” Rex asked.
“I didn’t say a thing ” Raphael replied, his gaze on Sephy.
“But she got angry when she saw me. That’s why I told you take it easy” Rex said.
“If only you know about her illness then you wouldn’t have fired the gun” Rex muttered under his breath and that got Raphael gaze on him.
“What illness?”
“Didn’t Violet tell you about it?” Rex asked while Raphael shook his head in reply.
“It turns out that Sephy is suffering from Dyslexia, a disease which doesn’t….”
“I know what it means” Raphael cut in as he went to seat beside Sephy again.
“So it’s clear to you now that Sephy is innocent which means that guard is lying. We need to get to the bottom of this” Rex said.
“Do what you can to find out the truth” Raphael replied.
“What about you? Aren’t you coming?” Rex asked.
“Am staying by her side” he said firmly and knowing that his brother meant what he said, Rex left to interrogate the guard.

“Thank God I found you Louis ” Ginger said as she tried to steady her breathing.
“What’s wrong?”.
“Rex and his men are going to talk to the guard. Once he talks then you will be in danger and …..”
“Don’t worry have got it handled ” Louis assured.
“What did you do?” Ginger asked.
“Just like I said, I don’t know how Don found out the truth and got his men to attack us but my only crime here is that I payed that man to lie on Sephy which has worked far until now. The only thing left to do so I won’t be caught is to get rid of him ” Louis told her.
“Get rid of….do you intend to kill him?” Ginger gasp out in shock.
“He should be dead by now” Louis returned giving her a smile.
“But that’s cruel”
“Nothing is cruel when it comes to saving one’s neck. So don’t worry about a thing, I will handle it all” Louis said assuring Ginger.

~ NEXT DAY ~
Raphael was in his office when Rex came to him.
“Still don’t know the cause of his death?” Raphael asked.
“The autopsy result is out and it says that he was poisoned ” Rex replied giving him the file.
“Some one didn’t want him to talk and that’s why he was killed. Do you think Don spy is still amongst us?” Rex asked while Raphael nodded.
“Then how on earth do we find him?” Rex asked.
” He wouldn’t want to show for now but we should be alert cause he’s surely going to do some thing that will expose him” Raphael stated.
“How’s Justin now?”
“Coping. He’s out of danger, so you don’t have to worry” Rex replied just as they heard a knock on the door.
“Hello sir, you told us to tell you when miss Sephy wakes up, she….”
“Is she up?” Raphael asked getting out of his seat.
“She is up but….”
“But what?” Raphael growled at the maid.
“She….she moved into the maid quarters and is out working” The maid answered.
“Is she…..lead me to her ” Raphael said and immediately the maid walked out with Raphael trailing behind her.

~ CLINIC ~
Violet left the doctor office after getting a check up and after getting info about her sister.
Hearing from the doctor lips that’s Sephy is doing fine has got her feeling relieved.
She walk past a corridor when she heard a loud thump coming from a room.
She was about going into the room when the guards that were accompanying her stopped her.
“Some one might be in danger in there so get out of my way” she said pushing past them.
She got in only to see a man on the floor , he seems to be a patient and must have fallen off from the bed.
” Let me help you” Violet said moving towards Justin who had his gaze trained on her.
“Are you okay?” Violet asked as she help him into the bed.
“I don’t think I am ” Justin replied his gaze trained on Violet face.
“Should I get you a doctor then or should I….”
“You don’t have to. Being here with me is the only cure I need” Justin said grinning like a fool.
A fool who is obviously in love.

{ AN EYE FOR AN EYE }
~ MAID QUARTERS ~
“Don’t you think we should do some thing?” Milly asked madam Jojo as they watch Sephy drying the wet clothes.
“If she won’t listen to you or me, what can we do?” Madam Jojo said in return.
“All this is happening because she doesn’t want to stay in Stone room” Milly said.
“If only he hadn’t shot her, just thinking about it makes me feel scared of him” Milly added as they kept starring at Sephy.
“What are you doing!” Raphael growled earning the attention of the three ladies.
“Why are you here when you are meant to get some rest?” Raphael asked moving towards Sephy but she didn’t bother to give him a reply, her focus on the clothe she was drying.
“Everyone should leave” Raphael ordered and immediately, the people around them dispersed leaving Raphael and Sephy alone.
“I asked you a question, Seraphina!” Raphael said but still Sephy didn’t reply.
Pulling the wet clothes, he threw it on the floor out of anger and also to earn her attention.
“Talk to me Sephy!” He said softly and that brought her gaze on him.
“What would you like me to do boss? ” She asked using a formal tone with him.
“Why would you resume work when you are not well enough?” Raphael asked.
“If you aren’t going to talk about work then it’s best that I leave, boss” she said turning to leave but he stopped her.
“Sephy you…”
“Let me help you with that” She said running towards two maids who were lifting a table.
“Thanks” the girls said to Sephy while Raphael stood there watching her walk away.

~ REX QUARTERS ~
“Where is Violet?” He asked as soon as he got to his room to find her absent.
“She went to the clinic” his guard replied.
“Why? Is she pregnant?” Rex asked which got the guard shaking his head in reply.
“She only went to ask about her sister” The guard replied hiding a grin.
“Oh. So where’s she now?”
“That’s the issue, she erm…she found a new friend at the hospital and have been with him for an hour now” the guard replied and that earned him Rex complete attention.
“Did you just refer to her friend as a he?” Rex asked.
“Yes and her friend is Justin, they’ve been talking in his ward for an hour” The guard said and that got Rex leaving his room heading to the Clinic.
He got to Justin door and Violet laughter was the first thing he heard. Rex opened the door to see her talking to Justin.
They kept talking oblivious to Rex presence in the room.
Watching Violet being friendly with another guy got Rex feeling angry.
Clearing his throat, they finally noticed him in the room.
“Rex! Good to see you here” Justin said sending a smile his way.
“I wouldn’t say the same” Rex said under his breath, some thing none of them heard.
“Am glad to see that you are getting much better but I came for Violet” he said starring at Violet who had gone quiet.
“Really? Does she have to go cause am enjoying her company” Justin said starring at Violet while Rex brow raised in surprise.
“She has to. It’s best you find some one else to keep you company” Rex said as he pulled Violet up but Justin held onto her other hand.
“You just can’t take her off, let her decide herself” Justin said reluctant to let Violet leave.
“I can decide for her too and my decision now is that she comes with me” Rex said pulling her hand out of Justin.
It wasn’t until they were in his room that he let go of her.
“What was that about?” Violet yelled at him.
“I should be asking you that” Rex said in return.
“I happen to help Justin and from there we became friends. You shouldn’t have acted like a jerk to him” Violet snapped at him.
“You call that being a jerk! You wouldn’t want to be close to me when I act like a jerk”
“I know and that’s why I choose to stay away from you and also you shouldn’t act like am your property. I don’t belong to you, Rex!” She screamed at him and when she tried to walk past him, Rex pulled her into his arms.
He tried kissing her but she fought with all her might.
When he let her go, she gave him a slap on the cheek but that only fuelled his anger.
Pulling off his shirt, he threw it away and pulled her back into his arms.
“Stop it Rex!” She said pushing at his chest while she resist his kiss.
Lifting her by the waist, he sat her on the desk and began to unbutton her blouse.
“If you do this then it will be rape” Violet declared which got him starring at her.
“How can it be rape when I know you want this as much as I do” He murmured huskily.
“I don’t want….”
“Lies! I know how your body reacts when am close to you, I know how you shiver when I touch your b**bs, how you whimper my name when I taste you, how you urge me to go deep into your wet folds. So don’t lie to me cause I know when you do” he said which got her mesmerized with his smell and closeness.
“Am going to kiss you and make love to you. Have made my intention clear so it’s not rape” Rex added claiming her lips.
Violet let herself go while he devoured her mouth and at the same time, he unbuttoned her blouse.
Lifting her off the desk, he carried her to his bed where he devoured the whole of her.
It was a while later that Violet roused from her sleep.
She was naked on the bed while Rex was sleeping soundly beside her.
Instead of getting off like she wanted to, she found herself starring at Rex sleeping face.
He makes a baby face when he is asleep.
It made him look cute and innocent some thing she know he isn’t.
His hair was ruffled and her fingers itch to set it right.
She was about doing it when she heard a knock on the door.
“Boss” The intruder called when there was no answer.
Violet was about waking him up when Rex pulled her into his arms.
“Get lost” he said to the intruder.
“But boss some thing important just arrived and….”
“If you don’t leave, am gonna make you regret it” Rex threatened and that got the intruder leaving.
“Why did you do that? He might be calling you for some thing important” Violet said pulling away to stare down at him.
“To hell with the important thing. Right now am with you and that’s much more important” He said getting her underneath him.
“So how did your inspection of me go? Am I fit enough for your standard?” He asked.
“So you weren’t asleep” she said slowly and he nodded.
“How can I? When I have the most sexiest lady by my side” he said huskily and gave her a kiss which got her wrapping her arms around his neck.

~ EVENING ~
Raphael was in his office going through some file when his mind drifted off to Sephy.
After what happened in the morning, she’s been ignoring him.
While leaving for the training ground during the afternoon, he met her along the way and she completely ignored him.
The same thing happened when he got to the cafeteria. As soon as he got there with his men, she left.
And just this evening , she refused to clean his room, begging madam Jojo to give some one else the task. He knew of that because he saw her when she was asking madam Jojo.
She must really be angry, he thought as a knock came on the door and a maid walked in, its the same maid who was badmouthing him earlier.
“Am sorry to disturb you boss but you’ve got to come with me” Milly said.
“Why? ”
“You see, Sephy has no room to stay for the night and though madam Jojo told her to stay in your room until they find a place for her to stay in the maid quarters, she refused and chose to spend the night in one of the detached room” Milly explained.
“Take me to her” Raphael ordered and once again Milly led the way.

Sephy was feeling cold due to her being in the room but she’s willing to endure if it’s going to prevent her from staying in Raphael room.
She was still shivering when she heard some one foot steps.
Looking up she saw Raphael starring down at her in anger.
“Do you want to get yourself killed?” Raphael yelled at her but she chose not to give him a reply.
“Get up” he said and when she didn’t do that as well, He jerked her up and lifted her over his arms.
“Put me down! Put me down!” Sephy screamed hitting his back but Raphael was too angry to feel the pain.
He left the detached room and carried her to his room.
He set her down gently and when she would have walk out of the room, he quickly shut the door.
“You can’t keep me here against my will” she yelled starring at him with so much anger.
“I know but that room is far worse for you ” he replied gently.
“That is none of your business. Get out of my way” she said and when he didn’t budge, she move towards him trying to push him away but instead he pulled her into his arms, enveloping her in a tight hug.
“I know you are angry at me and I deserve it but you not saying a thing is driving me crazy”
“You’ve always said your thoughts no matter how displeasing it might be but you aren’t doing that now ” he added still holding her to himself.
“You should call me names, you should hit me, I will take it all as long as you stop ignoring me” he said.
“Let me go Raphael, let me go!” She said and that got him releasing her.
“What do you want me to say? Call you names, That’s not my style. I should hit you, I don’t have the hand to do that but I will very much love to shoot you” she said and that him starring at her.
“Give me your gun and let me shoot you. An eye for an eye” Sephy added stretching fourth her hand for his gun.
Nodding slowly, he dip his hand into his pocket and pulled out his……
