I could remember it like it was just yesterday, it was as clear as day in my mind and I could recall how it all went down. Killing my father and his colleagues in that hall as I thought marked the end of the Executioners but it turns out, I didn’t get the job done.
Hearing about Executioners’s return brought back all the awful memories I blocked from my mind. I felt imminent rage as I recalled what my miserable father did to my little sister. It pained me so much that this mad organization had risen again and only God knows what they’re up to next. Whoever it is that is responsible for the Executioners’s comeback will definitely die once I get my hands on them. However despite feeling bitter about the Executioners unexpected return, I decided to focus on the task at hand which was finding Ade.
Amongst one of the things that hurts in life is when one gets close to something only to lose it again. Everyone was excited when Ade’s location was discovered and as we went to retrieve him, he was gone. Everyone was disappointed that our search would begin all over again but no one was more hurt and disappointed like Felicia. Ever since she returned, I’ve been getting this uncomfortable vibe around her. I never liked Felicia before and this time around, I just detest her. People like her are not to be trusted cause their hands are always dirty and their secrets is a killer one.
Despite not liking Felicia, I couldn’t help but notice something off about her ever since Ade was taken. She had been acting weird like some guilty criminal, it’s like there was something she didn’t want anyone to find out. Before Felicia was cool headed, calm and arrogant but now she’s different. Whatever it is that she’s hiding, I’m pretty sure it’s not something good.
Hours after our unsuccessful rescue of Ade, here I was on the verandah standing and inhaling the cool breeze of the night. The time was 1:30am and I could barely sleep especially not when Eze and Chioma were busy having an intense s-x in their own room. Thanks to my enhanced hearing, the sound of their moans reached my ear so I decided to go to the verandah and wait there until they were done. Whilst I was busy staring at the moon light, Kaitlyn approached me from behind holding a cigarette between her fingers.

Kaitlyn ➡ Madame Reptile, what are you doing up so late?

Eve ➡ I could ask you the same.

Kaitlyn ➡ I asked you first.

Eve ➡ I can’t sleep.

Kaitlyn ➡ Eyah! Too bad you don’t have anyone to rock you tonight.

Eve ➡ That’s not the reason why I can’t sleep.

Kaitlyn ➡ If you say so!

Eve ➡ Aren’t you supposed to be with your tech boyfriend?

Kaitlyn ➡ Samson is busy tonight. He’s at the agency with Ace and Felicia.

Eve ➡ As a matter of fact, you did. You mentioned a certain someone that I loathe so much.

Felicia ➡ You mean me?

Hearing Felicia’s voice startled kaitlyn and I but I quickly recovered from the shock. Felicia as usual walked proudly towards me but not before she snatched Kaitlyn’s cigarette and puffed some smoke before handing it back to her. After leaning on the balcony sideways looking at my direction, Felicia began to speak her mind.

Felicia ➡ I never thought you’d gossip about me. Something tells me that I must have unintentionally stepped on one of your toes.

Eve ➡ Don’t get ahead of yourself Felicia. I’m just sick of you, everything about you make me sick to my stomach.
.

Felicia ➡ (laughs) Oh my God… I can’t believe you’re still upset about what happened 10yrs ago. Why can’t you accept that fact that Ade is mine?

Eve ➡ (scoffs) I’ve moved on from that years ago and besides one of these days he’s going to come to his senses and drop you like the cheap dirt you are. You think you’re some hot stuff, you’re nothing. You may be blessed with a hot looks and killer body but besides that you’re nothing. Just because you have Ade wrapped around your finger doesn’t mean you’re something special.

Kaitlyn ➡ Eve… Chill.

Eve ➡ Abeg let me talk. Why does everyone tend to look the other way where Felicia is involved. Every one can see that she’s not to be trusted, she’s full of deceit and lies. Only God knows what’s going on in her twisted mind.

Felicia ➡ How dare you judge me? What makes you think that you can tell me the kind of person I am? You were born with a silver spoon in your mouth and I was born into a hard life and I’ve been through alot to get to where I am today. Tell me Eve, have you ever lived on the streets or hustle not to get hungry. You grew up in a life of luxury while I grew up in the streets struggling to survive not only against hunger but murderers whom you know pretty well . The reason why I’m alive today is because I’ve learnt not to trust easily, the world is a rotten place and being a simpleton won’t save you.
Don’t act like you know me cause you don’t. You have no idea the kind of person I am. My secrets are mine to keep and I share it to those I wish to share it with. I may not be honest at most times but I have my reasons and speaking of judgment, let’s not forget that you’re a descendant of psychotic murderers.

Eve ➡ I’m not my father.

Felicia ➡ Maybe but you have blood on your hands as well.

Eve ➡ SHUT UP!!! you don’t know what its like to lose someone. I kill because I want to prevent what happened to my sister upon others.

Felicia ➡ Whatever. Keep your nose out or my business or…
.

Eve ➡ Or what? (retracting claws)

Felicia ➡ Oh.. I see you’re itchy for a fight, may I remember me what happened the last time we clashed?

Kaitlyn ➡ That’s enough both of you.

Eve ➡ Stay out of this Kaitlyn, I would like to show this arrogant b-tch her place.

Felicia ➡ I would like to see you try, lizard.

Suddenly before Felicia and I could even move a muscle, 2 daggers landed at our feet sinking deep into the tiled floor. In that moment, I looked up and saw Ali on the roof staring down on us.

Ali ➡ You 2 are making a lot of noise. I can’t concentrate on my meditation. One more word and you both will be baptized with my daggers.

Felicia ➡ Hmph! It’s nice to see that your throw and aim is accurate as ever.
.

Kaitlyn ➡ That’s new. Since when did you start meditating Ali?
.

Ali ➡ It’s been a while now. Now kindly keep your mouths shut or go to sleep.
.

Kaitlyn ➡ Come on you two, go back to your rooms. This has gone far enough.
.

Felicia ➡ Indeed it has. Good night.
.

Eve ➡ (hisses) Nonsense.

Kaitlyn ➡ Eve.. Enough. Have you forgotten what Felicia is capable of?

Eve ➡ Leave me alone jare. I don’t need to stay under the same roof with that snake in human form. I need some space.

After having a midnight episode with Eve, Felicia heads to her son’s room where she sees him on the bed sleeping. Touched by her son’s innocence in his slumber, Felicia approaches and sits on the edge of the bed right next to him patting his head.
Richard who had instantly felt his mom’s hand on his head wakes up and stares at her with confusion.

Richard ➡ Mom.. What are you doing?
.

Felicia ➡ I’m sorry son, I didn’t mean to wake you up.
.

Richard ➡ Are you okay? You look worried.
.

Felicia ➡ I am worried about your father.
.

Richard ➡ He’s going to be fine. You once said he’s unstoppable.
.

Felicia ➡ I might have been wrong about that.
.

Richard ➡ Well, I still believe he’s going to be fine. He has you and his friends.
.

Felicia ➡ Thanks for saying that. Now go to sleep.
.

Richard ➡ Relax mom, it’s not like I’m going to school anyway.
.

Felicia ➡ I should tell your father to enroll you into one when he returns.
.

Richard ➡ Don’t even bother because I won’t attend.
.

Felicia ➡ Okay but make sure you know that you’re going to be a dummy.
.

Richard ➡ Maybe but don’t forget that I’m the son of one of the richest men in Lagos. Dummy or not, nobody is going to complain.

Astonished by her son’s reply, Felicia pinches his dimple cheeks with her hands softly before giving him a good night kiss on the forehead. After that, Felicia leaves her son’s room and then jams with Jennifer.

Felicia ➡ Jennifer!?
.

Jennifer ➡ That boy of yours is really his mother’s son.
.

Felicia ➡ I agree but don’t give him too much credit, I don’t want him to be feeling too proud.
.

Jennifer ➡ Don’t worry, he won’t. Are you okay?
.

Felicia ➡ (sighs) No.. I just want to find Ade.
.

Jennifer ➡ Babe, relax. He’s going to be okay.
.

Felicia ➡ I know but that’s not what I’m worried about.
.

Jennifer ➡ What is it then that’s troubling you.
.

Felicia ➡ With Ade still in captive, it’s only a matter of time before that rat bastard tells him my secret.

Jennifer ➡ OOOhhhhh!! So that’s why you’re worried.
.

Felicia ➡ I need to find Ade.
.

Jennifer ➡ Babe chill. There’s nothing you can do now. If Ade finds out about your secret and confronts you about it, just face him.

Felicia ➡ Are you serious!? Do you have any idea what this secret might do to him? He won’t just hate me, I’m afraid he’ll disown his own son, our child . I don’t want my son to suffer the same fate I had with my parents.

Jennifer ➡ Felicia, you did the right thing! It doesn’t what he thinks, what you did was the right thing besides all of this happened before you met him.

Felicia ➡ You make it sound so easy. What if you were in his shoes?

Jennifer ➡ Since when did you care about what people thought of you?

Felicia ➡ Ade is a different case. I love him and…. Oh God.. I can’t live with myself knowing that he’s in pain because of me. I left 10yrs ago with a promise that I would return but how could I? I thought it would be best if I left him but then I got pregnant with his child and I still didn’t tell him. Now if he finds out about this, he’s not going to like it.

Jennifer ➡ So what? Felicia, your actions saved lives. Don’t feel sorry for what has happened. If Ade finds out, just face him with it and let him know your reasons. He needs to know that what you did was necessary for the survival of others. Keep it together, we both know that this secret isn’t going to going to hide forever.

Felicia ➡ I just hope everything turns out well.

Testing out this new ability that Atlas revealed to me was really difficult, using the words to describe it’s difficulty was just impossible. After so many trials, I failed to harness this ability and the result of these trials juiced out my strength to the point that not only I was utterly exhausted but I also passed out.
The worst things about failed trials or experiments is starting all over again but my own case was even terrible. Failing to harness this ability threw away all the hope I had of escaping from Prometheus’s clutches and the worst case scenario was that my friends were in danger and there was nothing I could do to save them, or so I thought.
After hours of peaceful shuteye, I finally woke up and found myself in a very strange and different room. At first, I was confused seeing myself in a different location knowing very well that I was held prisoner in Prometheus’s base but eventually, everything became clear. As I was busy trying to figure out how I ended inside this room, the door opened gently and from behind it emerged a pretty lady.

If there’s any word that I would use to describe this lady before me, it’s delicate. She was young and attractive not to petite, she had this alluring sensation and charm that makes her look so innocent like a little school girl and judging from her appearance, it was pretty clear that this lady is a foreigner cause she doesn’t look like a typical Nigerian lady. Despite being turned on my this lady, I became cautious and fully alert to see what would happen next.

Anna ➡ Hello, I see you’re awake.
.

Ade ➡ Yes… Uhm, who are you and where am I?
.

Anna ➡ My name is Anna conté and you’re in safe hands.
.

Ade ➡ Safe hands? I’ll be the judge of that.
.

Anna ➡ I know you’re confused but don’t worry, everything will be clear soon.
.

Ade ➡ Look Anna or whatever your name is, If you won’t tell me where I am then better get out of my way.

Anna ➡ Please calm down. There’s no need for you to be hostile.
.

Ade ➡ Hostile abi? You never see anything. Out of my way.
.

In that moment, I got out of the bed and brushed off Anna heading towards the door and immediately I opened it, all I could see in front of me was hundreds of me in the same position as I was in. All of the other mes were also holding the door handle like I am now. I may not know what is going on but the result is obvious, I was trapped.

Ade ➡ Ah oluwa mi… What’s going on?
.

Anna ➡ I tried to warn you but you didn’t listen. I’m an elite like you and this is my ability.
.

Ade ➡ What did you do?
.

Anna ➡ Let’s just say that you can’t get out of this room unless I say so.
.

Ade ➡ I’ll try the windows.
.

Anna ➡ Go ahead.
.

Anna ➡ You’re not a prisoner. All I want from you is to be calm. If you promise to behave, I’ll get you out of here.

Ade ➡ Okay, okay.. Fine. I’ll behave.

After that statement, I closed the door and went back to the bed and say there waiting for Anna to undo whatever it is that she did. This is the third time I’ve faced another elite that has made me seem powerless. First it was Isabelle, the second is Denise, the demon possessed girl and now Anna. To make it even worse, all of these adversaries are women.
Seeing that I was less erratic than before Anna then reached for the door and opened it urging me to follow her which I did and as I stood by the door, I was amazed. The room in which I was kept was inside a mountain but unlike most mountains this one had been modified into a underground dwelling. Anna who noticed how dazed I was explained everything to me.

Anna ➡ This island is a safe haven for elites for hundreds of years. This mountain is heavily fortified to withstand any unexpected attack.

Ade ➡ Did you say island?
.

Anna ➡ Yes.
.

Ade ➡ How many elites are here and how did you manage to hide all these years without been spotted?
.

Anna ➡ Well, the elites on this island aren’t that much but we’re no less than 5 thousand.

Ade ➡ 5 Thousand!!? How is this possible?
.

Anna ➡ Just follow me and all the answer you seek will be provided.

I kept quiet as soon as Anna made that statement and continued to follow her. Not only was the mountain modified but it also customized with the latest technology to protect it from any unauthorized entry. Before long, Anna and I left the mountain base and reached outside where I saw paradise. The place is indeed an island and it looked wonderful, not only where there sandy beaches but the island was also blessed with nature’s gift. As Anna and I began to take a tour around the island, I noticed the elites we met on the way were different based on ethnicity, background and color.
Apart from the color diversity, I noticed that the island also has an urban setting but it wasn’t as condensed as the real thing. One thing that did amazed me was how everyone on the island socialized happily with each other and expressed themselves, everyone here lived as equals. After walking around for some few minutes, Anna and I arrived at some mountain base which led us straight to the ones governing the island. Unlike the other mountain base which I was kept, this one’s a camouflage. Somehow one of the elites on this island managed to build a sophisticated holographic device to cover up this place’s identity. Behind this camouflage is a complex building and this one was heavily fortified and protected by a forcefield just like the one at the Nova agency. It’s a shame Ace wasn’t here to see all this, he would have accomplished wonders here.
As soon as Anna and I got into the building, she led me further into a large room which looked somewhat like a courtroom and inside the room, there was one lovely Turkish lady sitting before a round table reading some books. The lady who had also sensed our presence, stood up from her chair and walked towards us smiling.

Laila ➡ Welcome Al-jinn, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you.

Ade ➡ Al-jinn??…
.

Laila ➡ It means *demon* in Arabic but I meant to call you Ghost. My name is Laila.
.

Ade ➡ Nice to meet you Laila.
.

Laila ➡ Okay Anna, you can leave us . Come Ade, we have a lot to discuss.
