CHAPTER 33💞34

A NIGHT TOGETHER

“Cos I would like to spend some time with you alone. Just the two of us-” Leonardo said passionately.

Lyric stood at a spot, blinking. Is she dreaming or what? She opened her mouth to speak but no word come out. Leonardo grabbed her hand, taking her to seat.

He pulled out a chair for her and then sat down across from her.

“I thought we could have a little privacy,” he said.

Lyric only nodded, unsure of how to act

“You see- I have something I want to say to you.” Leonardo added.

Lyric’s heart was pounding so hard she could barely hear him. She took a deep breath and looked at him, waiting for him to speak.

“Why don’t you eat first?” Leonardo set a plate of food in front of her. It looked like some sort of pasta dish, with a delicious-smelling sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top. She could tell that he had put a lot of effort into making it, and she felt touched by the gesture.

“I hope you like it” Leonardo said, a smile on his face.

As Lyric picked up her fork and began to eat, she felt Leonardo’s gaze on her. His eyes were intense, and she felt a little self-conscious under his scrutiny. Was she eating too fast?

She tried to focus on her food, but she could feel his gaze still on her. Finally, she looked up and met his eyes.

“How’s it?” He asked.

“Good” She managed to return the smile. She cut the gaze, but she couldn’t help feel uncomfortable knowing fully well he’s staring as she eat.

“Ar- Aren’t you going to eat?” She looks up again.

“I’m full by just watching you eat!” He replied, and Lyric could feel her cheeks heating up. Lyric continue eating, and Leonardo watch her all through.

PARTY HOUSE

The quad was decorated with colorful streamers and lanterns, and a DJ was setting up in the corner. NIkita and her friends arrived as soon as the party started, and immediately started dancing. Mikaela also came in with Eclipse and they took thier sit on an empty seat they found.

“Mikaela!!” They suddenly heard familiar voices and both turned to see Kelly and Dave walking towards them. They got to their table, and Kelly took a seat next to Mikaela while Dave settled beside Eclipse.

“Hey girls!” Dave greeted, and the girls smile.

“You both look great” Kelly complimented.

“Thanks!” They both chorus.

“I wasn’t expecting to see you here! Is your brother finally allowing you to party?” Kelly asked.

“I sneaked out” Mikaela replied.

“You did what?” Eclipse asked surprisedly.

“Kidding… He’s out of town, so I had the chance”

“Now you’re telling Kelly when he asked, you refused to tell me why you really showed up” Eclipse said jealousy.

“Are you jealous of me now?” Kelly teased.

“Of course not, Micky is mine okay?” Eclipse rolled her eyes.

After few minutes of chatting, Dave looked over at Eclipse and smiled. He turned to her and extended his hand.

“Would you like to dance?” He said. Eclipse felt her heart skip a beat.

“I’d love to,” she replied, taking his hand. The left the table, heading to the dance floor, Dave gently held her waist,and the began dancing .

“Have you confessed your feeling to him?” Kelly asked, calling Mikaela’s attention back to him.

Mikaela stared at him, knowing fully who he’s talking about, how his he going to tell her he rejected her.

“No, but I’m planning to do it soon!” She answered, forcing a smile.

Kelly nodded, his eyes not leaving hers.

Mikaela pour herself a drink, watching Dave and Eclipse dance together. She was making funny faces to Eclipse, so as to distract her from the dance.

“Should we join the dance?” Kelly suddenly asked.

Mikaela faced him. “I really sucked at dancing, I don’t want to embarrass you” She chuckled.

“It’s okay by me, I got you-

“I really don’t think it’s a great idea!” She cut in.

“Okay” Kelly gave a nod.

Meanwhile, Nikita was sitting at a corner with Mimi, watching with her fist folded angrily.

“Calm down Kita! I told you we got this right?” Mimi said beside her.

“I sure hope so” Nikita replied, but she couldn’t seems to get her eyes off them for a second.

“Where’s your twin brother? I’m not seeing him around” Eclipse asked, as she dance with Dave.

“He hate parties!” Dave replied. Eclipse mouth slowly formed an “O”

“Why do you ask?” Dave said.

“Nothing!” She replied and they resumed dancing. Dave eyes glued to her own.

“Is there something on my face?” She asked, noticing the gaze.

“Yes… Beauty!” Dave replied.

“Seriously…” Eclipse chuckled.

Dave nodded.

“Can I kiss you?” He asked, and Eclipse blinked constantly.

“Sorry I was being too forward” Dave chuckles.

“You can” She suddenly said, and Dave didn’t wait any minute before pulling her to a corner, they immediately started kissing.

Mikaela sat alone at the table, watching everyone else laughing and having fun. Kelly left to get a call, and Eclipse is yet to be back with Dave. As she watch some couples together, she couldn’t help but think of Princeton.

Why is it so hard getting over him?? She grabbed her drink and made to pour herself a drink, but she already finished it.

Then she saw one of the waiters passing around a tray of drinks. She took a glass and brought it to her lips, taking a sip. She dropped the cup, bringing her phone out to check the time. No single call from him.

She suddenly felt a sinking feeling in her stomach and held it, Feeling a little dizzy, Mikaela stood up from the table and headed to the restroom.

When she got there, a group of guys approached her.

“Are you okay?” one of them asked. “You look like you’re not feeling well.”
Mikaela tried to respond, but her mouth felt like it was full of cotton.

“I’m… okay!” She stuttered as one of them grabbed her forcefully and pinned her to the wall, wanting to kiss her but she managed to pushed him off with all her strength.

She made to leave the place but another hand pulled her back. She landed on the floor, hurting her hand in the process.

She tried to get up, but her limbs felt heavy and unresponsive. She started to panic, wondering what would happen to her. Would she be taken advantage of.

The guys rushed to her once again, and one of them made to start tearing off her clothes but a hand grabbed the guys hand and twisted it backward.

“Aarh!” He winced as Kelly pushed him to staggered on the others.

“How dare you meddle in this?” The guy yelled, holding his hurt arm.

“Are you going to leave here now, or I call her police!” Kelly treathened bringing out a his phone.

The guys immediately run off.

Kelly turned to Mikaela and immediately carried her in a bridal style, walking out of the place, leading her to his car.

Just as Kelly was about to open the back door, Mikaela put a hand on his arm.

” Can’t you love me back? I really love you” she said,her voice barely audible.

Kelly looked at her, his expression full of confusion.

“My heart is aching so much, Princeton!” She added hugging him.

Kelly said nothing.

She suddenly pressed his lips on hers and Kelly’s eyes widened, but it’s didn’t last for long. He held her waist firmly and began kissing her back.

Princeton got down from his car in front of the party house. He immediately rushed into the building looking for her.

He couldn’t help but panick as he searched frantically.

“Mi–” The rest of her name stuck in his throat as he got to where they were they are both standing, in front of Kelly’s car

His eyes widened at what he saw. Slowly, his hand clenched in a fist and his eyes red in anger.

“What’s going on here?” He asked and Mikaela’s eyes opened. She gasped on seeing who she kissed and her eyes widened.

She actually thought it was Princeton. She saw Princeton in his when she kissed him, how come he’s…

She turned to see Princeton standing there, his eyes blaring with nothing but pure anger.

“Princeton– Why are there two Princeton? Am I really going crazy because of him?” She puzzled staring at both. Princeton grabbed her hand instead.

“Let’s go.” He said, pulling her out of there.

Kelly stood there smiling as he touched his lips.

HERNANDEZ ESTATE

Princeton carried Mikaela into the house and straight up to her room. She was making muffling sounds and blaming herself in his arms. She was still feeling tipsy, but she was better than before.

Princeton dropped her on the bed and helped her in taking off her shoe.

“I’m sorry Princeton. I swear I didn’t know you weren’t the one. I’m sorry.” She apologized but Princeton didn’t say anything to her.

“Please say something, Princeton. You silence is eating me up.” She said touching her head which was banging heavily.

“Go to sleep.” Princeton said coldly and made to lay her but she held his hand.

“Why are you not saying anything to me? Don’t be silent! Say something to me Princeton. Please. I didn’t mean to kiss him, I was really hoping you would be my first kiss… I’m sorry!” She broke down in tears.

“Do you really not love me at all?” She asked lowly, that one could barely hear her.

Princeton swallowed hard. How could he tell her that he was crazy over her but was scared of accepting her love coz of the bond he had with Leonardo.

He can’t imagine what Leonardo will do to him if he finds out that he has a feeling for his sister, that was why he rejected her feeling then but seeing her with Kelly really got him pissed.

“It’s alright. I’m sorry for being a pest to you. You can leave.” She said sadly and turned to her bed. Princeton grabbed her hand and turned her back to himself, his hand around her waist.

Mikaela hearts skipped a beat, as they both stared deeply at each other,then he spoke.

“I hope boss forgive me for what I’m about to do!” He held her chin up, and immediately slammed his lips on hers.

Mikaela eyes widened as saucer and she immediately became sobber. it took her completely five seconds to process what he just did before reciprocating to the kiss. Her slender hands wrapped around his neck as she kissed him back, slow and passionately.

“Does that answer your question?” Princeton asked, when they broke the kiss.

“You feel the same way?” Mikaela inquired impatiently, her face shoning with excitement.

“I’m scared of-

“If this is about my brother, he doesn’t have to know. I promise we’ll tell him before he found out” She quickly said.

Princeton hesitated before nodding.

“So… I’m your girlfriend now?” She asks slowly. Princeton nodded.

“I love you!” She added, hoping he’ll really reply her.

“I love you too!” Princeton replied and her eyes widened.

“Now…I believe it’s real, You’re finally mine!” She gushed pouring thousands kisses on his face. Princeton only smile.

Lyric and Leonardo just finished their meal, and they stepped out into the cool night air. The streetlights were just coming on, casting a soft glow over the city.

They saw a storm brewing in the distance. As soon as they got in the car, the first drops of rain began to fall. Soon, the downpour was so heavy that it was hard to see out the windshield. The wind howled, and lightning flashed across the sky. Suddenly, the car started to sputter.

“I think the car’s about to break down, we need to get out of here and find shelter” Leonardo said, his voice tight with worry.

Lyric nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. They pulled over to the side of the road and scrambled out of the car, seeking cover under the overhang of a nearby building. They stood there, huddled together, Lyric felt a shiver run through her back on his face.

“I’m sure there’s a hotel or something-” Leonardo said, and Lyric looked at him.

“Are you okay with it or we can just wait here till it’s stop” Leonardo said.

“No,it’s okay with me…” Lyric said in a mutter.

“You sure?”

Lyric nodded, trying to take deep breaths to calm herself down. Leonardo pulled out his phone and opened up the maps app.

“There’s a hotel about a mile from here,” he said, showing Lyric the screen.

They set off down the road, walking as fast as they could through the pounding rain. After what seemed like an eternity, they reached the hotel. They hurried inside, dripping wet and out of breath, founding a hotel clerk. They both walk up to her.

“Excuse me, is there any rooms available? It’s a bit of an emergency” Leonardo said to the clerk.

“I’m sorry we’re all booked up tonight. You’re lucky we had one room left,” the clerk said, handing Leo the key.

Leonardo looked at Lyric who blink before giving a nod, at least it would be better than being out in the storm.

Leonardo and Lyric took the elevator up to their room, grateful to be out of the storm.

As they walked down the hallway to the room, Lyric couldn’t stop thinking about how close they had come to being stuck out in the storm, not to mention sharing the same room with him.

She look up to Leonardo, who’s face was still glued to his phone screen. He has been trying to reach Princeton. She bit her lips and look away.

They reached, Leo unlocked the door and they both hurried inside.

Lyric was shivered from the cold, Leonardo noticed and took off his jacket. He put it around her shoulders, draping it around her like a blanket.

“You should change it this! That should keep you warm,” he said. Lyric looked at him, touched by his thoughtfulness.

“Thank you so much,” she said. They stood there for a moment, looking at each other.

Lyric went into the bathroom peeling off her damp clothes and changed into the jacket. Since she’s short, It was a little big on her, but it felt warm and comforting.

She took a deep breath and walk back out into the room. Leonardo was still there, sitting on the bed, he looked up and didn’t bother looking away when thier gaze met.

The way she look so adorable yet sexy in the jacket is driving him crazy, his hearts might jump out of his chest any minute from now.

“Sir Leonardo!” Lyric called slowly, when she got to him.

“I might really go crazy if I don’t do this tonight…” He slowly moved his hand around her waist, and crashed his lips on hers.
