Chapter Sixty One : APPEARANCE OF BETTY 2
Verdun watch her carefully, things are still bothering me, when did she become lady Morgana sister? Why isn’t she coming to me? ” Madeline, tell me what you know ” shooting her a glare I watch her chuckle, looking excited to tell me everything.

” who do you think is powerful enough to brain wash lady Morgana into thinking she has a younger sister ”

” Bennett ” growling I clench my hands together ” what is she planing, Betty act and look different, she doesn’t look like the sweet fragile girl I once knew ”

” you wanted her strong, there you have it ” Madeline sip her wine after blabbering nonsense, of course I wanted her strong, I also told her I need her to still have her sweet side intact, my gaze move back to her, she laugh and talk with other men, my blood is gradually boiling, my anger build up finally when lord Trevor of the east lean close and kiss her cheek, very close to her lips.

” I will be back ” ignoring Madeline stupid expression I walk towards Betty, her gaze met mine, the smile in her face didn’t vanish as I approach, the other men walk away on my arrival ” alpha Verdun ” she bow her head gently before lifting it back up ” didn’t expect you to be here ”

” am sure you didn’t ” I said nothing more, just keep staring at the face I have missed so much ” I will like to know what you are doing amor….” Before I could finish she lift her hand up stopping me.

” it is lady Betty alpha ” she smile ” I will like you to give me the respect needed in my house ” that smile isn’t leaving her face, what is running through that devilish mind of hers.

” is it alpha Verdun you choose sister ” lady Morgana asked the moment she approach us, Betty on the other hand chuckle then shakes her head ” of course not sister, alpha keep getting scarier with each day that pass by, I won’t want to wake up one night and die of hypertension ”

” very funny ” I growl, why is she talking like she doesn’t know me ” I need a moment alone with you amor ”

” lady Betty alpha, you never learn do you ”

” not when it comes to you ” I step closer, she didn’t flinch but only furrow her brows ” outside now amor ” this got her laughing, even lady Morgana look confused.

” wow alpha ” she smile ” excuse me but I have better people to attend and talk to ” I tried holding her hand but she swiftly step back ” don’t even think about it alpha, I don’t take things lightly ”

” what’s the meaning of all these?” I growl getting irritated ” you are mine and then you come out one evening looking for another companion?”

” I was never yours alpha, you never marked me nor did you touch me ” she frown ” you don’t deserve someone like me, you killed the one person that was made for you”

” what are you talking about ” I step closer, she had to lift her head to look at me ” I don’t remember killing you ”

” oh no you didn’t alpha, you can never kill me” she smile ” you killed your lover, think about it, her ghost should hunt you down for what you did if you ask me….now excuse me ” watching her walk away I turn around and walk back to a smiling Madeline.

” what happened ”

” she hate me ”

” I would to” Madeline smile ” I mean you did break her trust, you cheated on her with your dead lover ”

” Stella??”

” of course is Stella, did you sleep with someone else ”

When she mention dead lover, she was referring to Stella which means she knows but then they was never a us between Stella and I, I just wanted power but with Betty, I want everything that is to follow ” she keep smiling to other men alpha ” Edward growl ” is Luna suppose to do that?”

” what do you think ” I look at Edward ” she is doing this to take revenge on me and now she has finally decided to get married to someone else, isn’t that going too far ”

” I suppose it is ”

” I know exactly what to do ” mumbling I look at Betty who is so interested in the conversation she is having ” I just need a time alone with her, to explain everything ”

” you look stunning lady Betty ” lord Mammon mumble while kissing my hand ” I had no idea lady Morgana has a younger sister that is beautiful as yourself ”

Smiling I reply ” we decided to keep it a secrete as for that time because people wanted me dead ” all these men clouding me is starting to get annoying, I just need Verdun to take the bait then I can get out of this ball, am getting dizzy from all the fake smiles, laughter and blush but then the satisfaction I get when Verdun tried touching me and I step back is over the moon.

His eyes widen with confusion and hurt, it is clear that Verdun love me, am no fool not to notice it but then how do you spend a night with someone else when you love another, that is absurd if you ask me.

Bennett finally step down the stairs with a glass, hitting it and getting everyone attention ” good evening everyone, the match has been made ” furrowing my brows I look at Bennett, we didn’t discuss anything about a match, Verdun haven’t decided to be my companion or have he? ” am sure you all are waiting and anticipating to know who will have this lovely lady Betty ” Bennett smile” not to delay your time I will like lady Betty to step forward”

My gaze travel to Verdun, he gives me an angry look, his fist clenched together, averting my gaze I walk up to Bennett ” Dracula Jones have been chosen to be with lady Betty, all these are lady Morgana orders ”

Looking at Bennett she nod ” lady Betty ” my gaze move forward, confused as to when Jones came ” its been a long time Betty ” he step closer smiling and grinning from ear to ear.

” the marriage will take place on Christmas eve ” lady Morgana mumble this time ” and I will like….”

Verdun loud growl shake the whole building ” over my dead body will amor get married to this bastard ” the whole place is quite, everybody is scared of Verdun but not Jones, he has always been stubborn ” she belong to me ”

” not if I can help it ” Jones growl ” you will stay out of this Verdun ”

Verdun gaze meet mine as he step closer ” is this what you want? To leave my side and stay with this prick, this prick that don’t feel a thing for you ” he grunt while I said nothing ” I will not permit that, no one will take you from me ”

” I am not yours alpha, stick that in your head ”

” a duel, only a duel can stop this ” someone in the crowd shout out ” Dracula and alpha should fight for the hand of lady Betty ” everybody nod so did lady Morgana.

” that’s a nice idea, this duel will be hold in two days time if the two parties agree ” lady Morgana mumble, Jones nod his head so did Verdun but his eyes remain glue to me, this wasn’t my plan.

Looking at Bennett she smile then shrug, stupid witch… I didn’t plan this but I do love to see jealousy all over Verdun, I don’t care if he dies in this duel, if he does I will just have to cry for three minutes then with the aid of Bennett escape from Jones.

The ball wasn’t boring after all.

Chapter Sixty One : I HAVE MISSED YOU AMOR

” you know very well that wasn’t part of the plan” Betty growl the moment she step into Bennett room ” what was that all about, Jones and Verdun in a fight ”

” calm down Betty, its for good ”

” how is this for good ”

” I know what you plan to happen but letting that happen so easily isn’t fun, he needs to fight for you, he needs to see that he has done a really bad thing ”

” that is not for you to decide Bennett, Verdun is mine, is my choice to do what I wish to do to him, I want you to stay out of this ” growling I watch how her eyes turn dark violet, she is annoyed but am not scared of her one bit.

” Verdun is yours Betty, no one is dragging him with you, I don’t care what happens but what I will make sure is for him to fight for you” Bennett place her hands on my shoulder ” he should prove himself to you Betty and you should let him know you are no longer the naive girl he once knew, you are more than that ”

Slapping her hands off my body my frown deepen ” then you should stay out of this, I have plans and it don’t involve you ruining them with your revenge on Verdun ” stepping closer I grunt ” am not naive Bennett, I know you think you are using me to get back at Verdun because he doesn’t love you, I know you hate Verdun and want to see him suffer” I smile ” I am the only one permitted to make him suffer not you or anyone else and I want you to stick that in your head ”

” I thought you hate him ”

” oh yes I do ” mumbling I nod ” that doesn’t mean I don’t love him, people make mistakes, he did his for power, I want him to suffer for hurting me but suffer in my own ways not by getting into a duel with Dracula of all people, I won’t allow it ”

” you will do nothing to stop it ” Bennett voice has a hint of warning in them.

” I fear for Dracula not Verdun ” turning around I mumble then leave ” Verdun isn’t as weak as you think, Dracula will die in two days time if nothing is done ” walking out of her room I frown, exhaustion and annoyance could be seen in my face, of course am not stopping the duel, its a nice plan but I need Bennett to stay out of my plan for good.

She keep ruining things for me and I don’t like that, stepping into the room prepared for me, I shut the door, take off this long and annoying dress, lose my hair from all the tiny pins, step off my heels, move to the bathroom, wash the make up off my face, get rid of my bra and exhale in peace.

” that bra can be frustrating ” I mumble stepping out of the bathroom, what happened next made my heart almost jump out of my body ” I know right ” hearing Verdun voice I tried to turn on the light but he caught my both hands then hold them at my back ” what nonsense is this Verdun?? How did you get in here”

He lean close then whisper to my ears ” I have missed you amor ” I try struggling from his grip but it seem like no matter how hard I train Verdun is still strong compare to me ” stop struggling and I will let you be ” when I stop he kiss my neck, his teeth grazing that spot as always before letting go of my hand but I didn’t move, no I stand while his hands move to my waist and pull me closer to his body ” you smell good amor” he inhale ” so good ”

Coming back to my sense I quickly disengage from the hug, the moonlight shine into the room, giving me the clear view of his face, am partially naked right now ” what are you doing here Verdun”

” I told you, I have missed you” he move to the bed and lay on it, looking at the ceiling ” I just need some quite time with you so get dressed”

” am going no where with you ” with that he turn his head to my direction, I should be scared of his look now, the way his eyes has changer but am not, I find him even more handsome ” you won’t come into my room uninvited and take me anywhere ”

” you will love what I want to show you ”

” are you trying to back out of the duel??”

” why should I amor ” he stand to his feet and move towards my direction ” do you see me as someone that goes back on his word, what I say I do it ”

” what about your promise ” I growl ” you promised me Verdun, you promised to wait for me, wait till am done with my training but what did you do!!!” Looking at him, he clench his fist together ” can’t you speak, cat got your tongue?” His hands swiftly move to my neck.

” do not raise your voice at me amor ” slapping his hands away i frown ” or what?? Will you take my power then kill me? Is that what you want ”

” you know very well I lo……” My eyes widen when that word almost slip from his mouth, his hands move to his chest at that slight mistake, I watch him fall down to his knees, I didn’t move, not because I was happy he was hurting but because I was shocked ” is this how cruel you have gotten amor ” his words brought me back to reality ” I told you didn’t I, I want my sweet Betty to come back to me but she didn’t ”

” you killed her Verdun ” growling I clench my fist ” you killed her the very day you sleep with Stella, she died that night ” Verdun stand to his feet looking pale, tired and sad.

” what do I do to get you back ”

” nothing, I don’t need you in my life anymore, I have had enough of your fake promises ” I fight the urge to cry, he will never see me cry ever again, I will not cry for him, not now, not ever ” even when you promised to visit you didn’t, I have had enough ”

” you have to believe me I….” Shaking my head I stop him right there ” don’t say more Verdun, enough with your lies and fake words, just leave ” pointing at the door he smile which took me by surprise.

” you’re angry and I get that, I will win this duel amor” he move swiftly to my side, everything happened so fast that it took me off guard, even the rough kiss that happened left me breathless ” you will marry me after that, I promise you but that won’t stop me from checking up on you ” and that was his last word before leaving me standing alone in my room with a swollen lip and beating heart.
