CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE : THE BALL 3
Frankenstein watch as maria step out of the mall few minutes after rose went back in ” who is she ” maria asked the moment she approached, the look in her eyes was pure annoyance ” how dare she do such a thing ”
My reply was simple ” lighter ” pulling out my cigarettes, I watch her furrow her brows before lighting it
” Don’t tell me you still hate talking ”
I do but time spent with little red has always been filled with chats and it wasn’t boring, instead it seem to lift up my feeling a bit.
” I will take that as a yes ” maria mumble then frown” you hit my sister didn’t you ” oh yes, I completely forgot that ava is Maria younger sister ” you should be grateful she asked for your hand in marriage”
Smiling I exhale, the smoke cover her face, resulting in her coughing ” she probably thought I would say no ” mumbling I grab her hand and pull her close to me ” you didn’t warn her from me did you ”
” I would never ” searching maria eyes, I still have no idea why she find me interesting in the first place.
” What if I wish to kill her, will you kill me ”
” Never ”
Letting go of her hand, my expression turn void, she has always been this way, her personality sometimes astonished me, I bet she can kill rose if I order her to do so and No, I did not experiment on her, I did something else and it surprise me that it’s still working.
She has a wreck personality and I happened to be the one she got obsessive with, I definitely have no problem with that ” can I ….” Her voice made me to look at her, her cheek is a little red ” can I get a kiss ” she complete her sentence and I frown.
” You haven’t worked for it Maria”
” But I recently gave five more dead bodies to Luciano ”
He didn’t tell me that ” that’s not much maria, I told you….I need ten ”
” The police came sooner than expected ” she pout ” please, can I get one ”
She is like a dog, I did say I didn’t experiment on her but I did give her my special drug, I mean it’s just medicine right……that’s different from experiment
“Bend down ” she did as I said and I Rob her head gently before touching her cheek ” will this do ” she look up at me and smile while people walking by, look at me with disgust, I inhale my cigarettes then exhale ” this time around, I need ten alright ”
” Alright Franklin” she smile, stand to her feet then speak more ” I will be at the ball tonight”
I frown ” stop calling me Franklin, it’s Frankenstein to you” looking at her I ask ” How did you know about that ”
” Mister Rogers invited me as his date, I was hoping you would but anyway….see you there ” she wave her hands then left, few minutes pass before little red approach, I watch her every move, how she drop the clothes in the back seat, close the door and stand right in front of me
I totally forgot that am seating in the passenger seat ” aren’t you driving? ” She look at me confused ” should I?”
” No ” i mumble after few minutes of thinking and realizing I don’t want to die for the second time ” little red ” she give me the look that means I should speak on ” can I kiss you ” I knew the word take her by surprise
First, I never ask before I kiss someone, this is something I want to observe and write down later…..these days she seem to like being around me alot, she did say she will change me, is that what she is trying to do?
Or she is changing herself.
” You just finished smoking ” she frown ” so no ”
One could see that she want me to kiss her but she still try to deny it and even in a stupid way ” you mean if I wasn’t smoking, you will let me?” Her eyes widen from my words and I knew I have her right where I want her to be.
Love is a game am not ready to be in but if I can turn her emotions into obsession without drugs, I might praise myself even more. Standing up, I watch her step back
” That’s not …..” Lifting my hands up I stop her from talking
” I was joking little red, don’t take everything serious ” moving to the driver’s seat, I get in, fix my seat belt so did rose before I turn on the engine
Silence remain in the car for awhile before rose decided to ruin it ” so will the ball be fun?”
” Balls are fun ” I refuse looking at her
” So you mean they will be chandelier, drinks, food, handsome boys, beautiful girls ” she express her words in a high pitch tone to indicate how happy she is ” I mean ” she turn and look at me ” I might be able to see you smile for real ”
” For real?”
She nod and I took a glance of her happy face, she always look so happy…. Making it seem like her light will one day destroy my darkness
Am not ready for that, should I just kill her?
” You always give out fake smiles, maybe I will get to see a real one ” she smile ” promise me you will dance with me ” she asked but I decided to say nothing ” please Frankenstein, a dance ”
Still said no ” Frankenstein!”
” Franklin ” I mumble calmly, avoiding her gaze ” call me Franklin ” for a minute she was quiet, probably shocked and so was I ……I have no idea why I said that
” Alright” she reply calmly ” Franklin ” and once again the we were quiet, if am right she is thinking of what to say
” So ” I knew it ” will you keep a dance for me ”
” Little red ” I mumble then look at her ” you’re my date there….I will dance only with you ”
” Promise ”
” I do not promise, if I see someone else who is far more prettier than you…..I will dance ”
” Not fair ”
parking the car in the garage, I look at my wrist watch, it’s already six PM ” go and prepare ”
” Alright” she pack her clothes and run into the main mansion, I remain sitting in the car, maybe I will prepare in some other room
My phone ring and I pick it up ” is it delivered ”
” Yes Mr Frankenstein, half to the ball meeting, wrap in present and half to your third mansion”
” That’s a job well done, your money is in your account”
” Thank….” I cut the call before he could complete his sentence, stepping into the mansion, I shower in the next bedroom, pull out my black suit then put it on before placing the jacket on my shoulder
It didn’t take me more than thirty minutes to finish, seating in the living room, I realize that I haven’t ask the maids to drive me up recently,” it’s odd” I murmur to myself before sipping the glass of water I took from the fridge
I relax on the couch, close and eyes while waiting patiently for little red, I have no idea why girls choose to delay this much, it’s just to put on a damn dress
” Franklin?” Hearing that voice, I frown, open my mouth and eyes at same time, I was planning to yell at her…..I wanted to warn her never to keep me waiting but when I look at her I was shocked.
Oh no, not shocked but surprised that I am able to buy just a beautiful girl, her hair lose them, thighs on display and the dress did hug her like a second skin
Red really suit her
Standing up, I frown, I have no idea why am frowning but I see no reason why I shouldn’t ” you delayed ”
” I was getting ready ” she look up at me ” so what do you think, am I beautiful?” She turn around and I cough.
Her gaze meet mine, waiting patiently for my reply and I bite my tongue ” you look beautiful ” saying that I turn around quickly to avoid her looking at my face.
I know for a fact that my cheek has a little red on it….even if it’s tiny, she will be able to notice it and I will be damned if she does.
She truly is my lady in red.

CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: THE WOLF IN SHEEP CLOTHING
The moment they arrive in the ball, rose look around, her gaze didn’t move from the beautiful lights, the people, how they dress, even the waiters are dressed in expensive clothes ” I thought balls was a thing of the past ”
Frankenstein look at me then nod ” indeed ” he mumble calmly ” but then rich bastards think it should always be held ”
” You came here to see someone right ” asking, he pull me close to a chair and make me sit down
” They will be performing an auction tonight, buy anyone you wish ” watching him, he pull out his own chair, sit down and sip the wine placed on it ” after the auction then the dance will begin ”
” Which means they are just using the name of the ball to distract people?” Frankenstein didn’t answer that, he just hand over a red cat mask to me then put one of the devil on.
” Indeed little red ”
I look around and notice that everyone already put on their mask ” will you be buying anyone?”
” No ” his answer simple ” haven’t bought someone in a long time now ” the whole place suddenly turn dark after the doors have been closed, a lady wear a blue plane dress with white gloves step forward, holding a mic
” Evening gentle men and beautiful women” she smiled ” I Know we all hate the beating around the bush so I will make it fast ” she clasp her hand and a girl with blond hair, chain around her neck as they drag her outside
She is being treated as a dog
” Just seventeen and a virgin, never been touched….have checked it myself ” the lady with the mic smiled ” we will be starting at 90 thousand”
Someone quickly rise his hand ” two hundred thousand”
Another ” five hundred thousand”
They kept bidding but Frankenstein just stare at the girl, he didn’t avert his gaze from her and I had a feeling he will want to buy her, I don’t like the look on his eyes
He wish to tame her.
I notice his left hand about going up but I quickly place mine on it, his gaze meet mine and I shake my head ” No, I will be the one to change you, not her ” the look on his eyes says it all, he doesn’t understand what am saying.
I know for a fact that men like women who haven’t been touched, I know am not a virgin but that doesn’t make me less of a woman
” Little red ”
” Tame me instead ” the words came out before I could even think about it
” One million ” the whole crowd remain quiet the moment Roger said that amount, I turn around and look at him, the look in his eyes says it all, he wish to kill her
” One million going ” the auctioneer mumble ” one million it is, the girl has been sold to the man with angel mask ” Frankenstein remove his hands from mine and fix his mask properly, I could only read his eyes but not his face
It’s hidden
” You were mistaken little red” he look at me ” I only want to perform a new experiment on her, I don’t tame left overs ”
” She is a virgin” I murmur, my voice only loud enough for him to hear, I watch Frankenstein nod his head and I frown, other people bought only a half mask so that their lips will be out but Frankenstein bought the full devil’s mask
“She is indeed a virgin little red” he exhale ” that’s not what I meant by left overs, if you watch her body clearly, she has scars, deep scars which showed that she was own by someone before and that person refuse touching her…..why is that?” His question took me off guard ” because she is not worth it, so I refuse to sleep with such left over ”
What a crazy way this man thinks
However it made me smile ” okay ” I reply then sip my wine, I might not love Frankenstein but I do like him, am starting to realize that under that mask he keep wearing everyday, they is a sweet boy or man hiding.
The auction went on ” little red, wait here” Frankenstein whispered” I have a meeting to attend ” and after that he left me on my own, didn’t even wait for my reply before he went to God knows where
Because I was annoyed, I end up buying a boy, nineteen year old boy for two million dollars, with Frankenstein name on it, before long, the auction was over, the light and music back on, people drinking and dancing.
I remain on my chair, I should try and go out, standing up to my feet, I stare at a dark hallway…. looking back, nobody seem interested so I went in.
The road straight with no single light, I didn’t have enough time to think about what am doing, I just kept walking, determine to find Frankenstein.
I don’t know, ever since I stab him, I suddenly have the confidence to yell at him, I do think am overstepping my boundaries but I have to if I need him to love me.
And then it hit me, am no longer trying to change him for Ava, I want him to love me?
How could I think such a thing?
I barely even think of mother and it’s wrong.
Approaching a weird blue light, I fasten my steps and find myself outside the ball room, this place fill with flowers I have never seen before, violet, purple, green, pink and mostly black ” you’re here ” hearing that voice, I quickly look at my side to stare at a man with long black hair and beautiful blue eyes.
The one I saw in Frankenstein hallway ” you?”
” You know me?” He smile ” that’s surprising ”
” I don’t…I mean I only saw your picture once ”
” Hmmm” he step closer and hold my face in his hand, he turn my face left, right and left again ” what does he see in you ” I watch that blue eye darken ” are you planning on changing his way of life?”
” Who?”
” Frankenstein ” he mumble ” he listen to you, doesn’t he ”
” No ”
” Yes, he doesn’t but he might ” he let go of my face and his eyes lighten ” I have decided to make you dracula woman ”
I blink, dracula, that means Frankenstein master ” huh ” was all I could say at that surprise
” I mean I have decided to make you my woman ” his face is filled with smiles, they is one thing I know in this life and that is people like him, who smiles easily can kill easily.
Wolf in sheep clothing.
” No ” I step back and shake my head ” I decline ”
” Am sorry rose ” he knows my name, looking at him….I frown, how much does he know ” I have decided and you are already mine” he move swiftly to my side and before I could blink he hit my head, making me to lose consciousness slowly.
He waited for me, he knew I will make this stupid mistake of coming here ” it’s not mistake” he caught me in his arms and I look at his face ” just fate rose, fate ”
” Then curse fate ” those were my last words, I didn’t even get to dance with Frankenstein.
