Episode 30
(Grooming light)
“I’m trying to save you Eve. I’m trying to save you from that monster growing in you. You should be thanking me, I’m your saviour Eve, I’ll save you from it’s doom. This child has to die.” Philip laughed. Hitting her more h-rder but she wouldn’t let him kill her baby.
Eve turned to the other side and backed him,thereby allowing the kicks to rain on her back instead. Suddenly Philip stopped and glared at her.
“Bitch, I’m trying to help you but you’re protecting that monster. You think you’ll get back with it’s father,Hell no he is dead,I killed him!”Philip taunted and Eve’s body cringed in pain. Is Hale dead? Tears streamed down her cheeks and she wiped them away.
“Since you really want to save that thing i know what I’ll do to you. I’ll make you starve, you’re going to beg for food but you won’t have any, the only thing you’ll be talking to will be c*ckroaches.”he bent over and grip her by her hair, using it to pull her up. She was already bleeding but he ignored it and dragged her weightless body to a fuilty basement.
It was a twelve_foot_square room with no window,just a unclad light bulb which hung down the wall. The dingy yellow glow against the windowless walls cast darker shadows in the corners,where spiders ate their silk convered meals. There was no way out except for the door at the top of the stairs.
Philip picked a rope and strapped Eve to a chair,he tied her hands and legs and blindfolded her eyes while she scre-med in pains.Her stomach was burning with pain. She mo-ned loudly and silently prayed that nothing had happened to the baby.
“Please God let the baby be safe. Don’t let anything happen to it..” she prayed.
“You’re bleeding,that means the baby wont last long. I’m happy I uprooted that monster from you. You should be thanking me,you really should.” Philip laughed and walked out of the basement, leaving her there. Eve’s mind wandered to all what Rose told her earlier and wordlessly she burst into tears of anguish,her wh0le body inflamed with pains,her eyes were in pitch darkness,her hands went limp, her legs hurted where the rope had bitten into her skin and her stomach burned. It felt like Philip was still hitting her. She was in so much pain and almost felt like passing out.
No I need to stay strong. I need to stay strong for my baby_ she concluded in tears.
She needed to be alive, so she tried to breathe but it seems the air supplies to her lungs had been cut off because of the severe pain she was in. She took another breath,a deeper one and sighed as she felt her body building up again.
Blood trickled out of her body and rolled lazily down her laps. She sobbed the more as she feared the baby was gone.
“No Eve,the baby is still there. Think positively. You’re going to hold this child in your arms, you’ll feed it and watch it grow.. the baby is still there. You need to stay alive for it.” she scolded herself, then took in another breath and her stomach hurt. It throbbed painfully with every breathe she took. She was in so much pain. With every breath she took, she could feel her body fighting to stay alive.
With every breath she took, she could feel the air supplies to her lungs pump up.
With every breath she took, her hope for survival increased but Philip didn’t come back to get her even though time wasn’t constant.
With every passing hour,her body was growing limp. She felt tired, drained, hungry.She kept taking in deep breaths, giving herself strength but the pains she was going through was consuming it.She felt her body get weaker. It was giving up because there was no supply of strength,all it took in was pain, fear, darkness, hunger, bleeding. She could feel the blood dripping down the room.
The bleeding was another source that was draining all the strength she tried to put in,how was she going to survive? would anyone come to save her? would Rose or her parents magically come to rescue her?would Philip change his mind and take her back in,side?No one would come!
Eve let the tears pour out freely, soaking her blindfold.
If only she didn’t agree to talk to Philip?
If only she had forgiven Hale and gave him the chance to prove himself.
But no, here she was in a strange place. Without getting a chance to know how much she loved him.
Now he was gone and she is here slowly dying with his baby.
She missed him and wanted him here but she knew it was impossible, all she got was the pains, which were growing intense.The bleeding didn’t stop and her body never slouch to change position. She has been in the same position for hours. Her hands tied in the same s₱0t behind her back. Her legs firmly tied together, she couldn’t even feel them.The room was already running out of oxygen,there was no way for it to penetrate. She fought for a little air but her body was already giving up.So she said her last prayers. Praying her baby should survive even though she dies, praying Philip dies in the most vile way. Praying Hale soul rest in peace.
She was still saying those
last words,when she heard the door at the top of the basement stairs rattle,a key was turned in the lock.
It would be Philip_ she thought, knowing no one else knew where she was,the door opened and she expected to feel the pain of someone dragging her by her hair.
“Honey, you’re safe now..”
She didn’t believe her ears,she had never been save but that voice was so much different from Philip’s. It was familiar.
No,It cant be,the owner of that voice was dead and he didn’t know where she was or did he?
She felt some one untie her hands, then her legs. Gradually,the flow of blood resumed but it hurts,her legs felt sore.
But who was this person? Who was this saviour? Who was this person that risked his life to free her?
Her saviour sat her up and she winced in pain as a pain shot up her stomach. Her saviour rested her head on his shoulders as he tried to untie her blind fold.
“I’m sorry Eve,I took so long” he said and she figured It was a male.
His smell filled her nose and she knew it.The voice, the smell all belonged to one person but no. The person was dead. Wasn’t he?
The blindfold was removed and she looked up to see him. He was staring at her,tears were in his eyes,those blue eyes,those l-ips,that face. It matched the voice and the scent. It was him.
He had come to rescue her.
He had come to save her from the grips of his monster brother.
He took off his coat and wrapped it around her unclad body.
“Hale” she called weakly, holding his face and looking at him,their eyes locking.
“Eve, I’m so sorry. I know i should have come sooner but it was hærd trying to know where you were. I’m sorry did he hurt you,tell me what he did to you, I’ll….”
He trailed off as she pulled him to herself for an embrace. She unembraced and did what really surprised him. She placed her l-ips against his,their l-ips met and she k-ssed him hærd, very hærd until she felt her stomach flutter with butterflies. His l-ips were as she remembered,soft,warm­­ and comforting. She k-ssed him h-rder, taking in the sweet flavor of his pink l-ips as if that was the acetaminophen to her pains.
They k-ssed for a while,then suddenly he pulled away and smiled at her.
“Come on, lets get out of here. We can continue when we are safe”Hale raised her up and carried her in a bridal style.She winced in pain,the blood was still trickling slowly.
“What is wrong with you Eve?” Hale queried looking her over,there was a gleam in his eyes as he noticed the blood trails on her laps.
“He was trying to kill it,but it’s still there. I know, I’m sure our baby is still there.” She mumbled burrying her fingers in his thick sleek black hair, that was the only thing she could do to console herself.
“It’s okay, I’m taking you to the hospital. The doctors are going to save it.” Hale assured as he carried her towards the door.
“okay, where is Philip?” Eve asked, looking around expecting Philip to come out and grab her.
“I don’t know, when i came, he was not here”
She gripped on tight to him as he carried her out of the basement and into the stairs.
“Am so happy you came for me, Philip told me you died and you’ll never come back for me” she forced a smile,they were almost out of the house.
“Philip is nothing but a liar,I never died and i will always come for you Eve…” He changed her position slightly as he carried her out of the house.
“What a surprise, my bastard brother and his angel”
They both looked forward, towards where the car was parked and behold Philip was there, pointing a pistol at them.

Episode 31
“Hold on Eve the cops are on their way, we’ll get over this…” Hale whispered and made light of Eve, shielding her behind him. His hands were smeared with blood as he drew out his gun too. Eve’s body limped with fear.
“You bastard look at what you did to Eve. How could you do this to her?”He shouted at Philip who smiled.
“Oh brother, you missed a lot. Your wife was so sweet to touch, did she tell you how she scre-med your name from the pleasure she received when i shoved it into her?,why didn’t you come on time? it would’ve been a happy threesome. I’m relishing that moment” if that was a taunt then it succeeded in making Hale more infuriated.
“Shut your God damn lying mouth up, before i pull the f-cking trigger”
Hale threatened but Philip didn’t take the threat to heart,instead his smile mounted as if it was plastered on his face.
“Did she tell you how i f—-d the hell out of her,I f—-d her so hærd, she scre-med your name. She begged me for it brother, she craved for my d–k,I spanked the hell out of her. She s-cked my d–k. I squeezed those b–bs like it was lifeless. I f—-d your wife like the bitch she is-I went in thrice, I c—ed all over her.” Philip laughed as a frown crept up on Hale’s face.
“He is just trying to get at you Hale, don’t believe anything he says, none of them is true. He raped me!” Eve shouted from behind him, resting her head on his back amidst wrapping her arms around his wa-ist,as she doubled over in pains.
“Oh,so I’m lying Eve. Didn’t you beg me to plung deeper into you, didn’t you beg me to c-m all over your face, didn’t you beg me to help you get rid of that thing you’re carrying. Didn’t you term it a monster.?”philip laughed again. “Damn women are terrible liars.”
“No don’t believe him, he’s a liar.”Eve gro-ned, tears in her eyes as Hale turned to her obviously hurt.
“Its not true.” She whimpered, cupping his face with her hands.”Hale believe me. I’ll never think of getting rid of your child no matter what happens. He raped me I’m telling you he kicked me,he wanted to kill it. I would…” Eve trailed as sometime struck against Hale’s head. Philip had used this moment as his weakness,he strucked him with the butt of his gun.
“No ……!!”
She shrieked as Hale fell limp in front of her.
“Please Philip, stop this and let us go. Please Philip stop all this,I don’t know you to be this wicked.”she begged, trying to wake Hale up but he didn’t budge.
“You don’t know anything about me bitch. You don’t..”
Philip chuckled and walked away, heading into the house.
“Hale, Come on. Get up! Please get up, lets get outta here, before Philip comes back” she shook Hale but he didn’t wake up, Eve’s eyes twitched with tears. How was she going to get out of this mess? She quickly wiped her tears and pushed her hair backwards. If they have to get out of here then the self pity must stop. She quickly searched for his gun and got hold of it before Philip came back, holding ropes in one hand while his gun was still in the other.
“Bravo! Sweet Eve you’re being brave..” he laughed, walking towards her.
“Stand back. please don’t come any closer. Just stand back before I blow your f-cking brains all over this place…” She didn’t know anything about guns,but when she glanced down. She saw a safety switch and pressed it down with a shaky thumb.
“You won’t try it….”
He came at her and she pulled the trigger hærd. The recoil went back and the bullet went high,right into Philip’s left shoulder.
He scre-med and clutched the doorcase, Eve threw the gun on the floor and went over to Hale..
“Come on let’s get out of here now..” she scre-m, shaking him roughly but still he didn’t budge.
“Get up please…” She tugged on his collar, took her body to his and hugged him. “Don’t do this to me Hale. Get up let’s leave now!!” She tried lifting him but couldn’t summon enough ounce needed to do so.
“No,let go of me..!!” She yelled as she felt someone grip her hair,it was Philip. He had stagger up to her,with a hand clasped to his shoulder, his gun tucked in his trouser and grip her hair with his free hand.
“Come here bitch…”
He dragged her hair, using it to pull her away from Hale’s comatose.
“Please Philip, please let us go. You’re hurting me” she cried as her blood left its trail on the floor. The pains had grown intense but he didn’t care. He dragged her weightless body towards the door. Just as he made to pass through the door he felt something struck
hærd against his jaw.
He turned and caught the next punch which made him stumble backwards and loose his grip on Eve who scrambled up to her feets as she saw Hale.
In an elephantine furry,Hale quickly dived upon philip and showered him with punches.
“This is for Eve” He punched him h-rder, between his eyes. “This is for my child” He punched again. Philip’s face was already smeared with blood and distorted without recognition but Hale didn’t stop,he kept punching with a higher ferocity than the previous one.
Suddenly a sharp pain shot through Eve’s stomach,she shrieked and fell on the floor. Hale stopped instantly, got up and hurried up to her.
“Hang on love, I’m going to take you to the hospital” He carried her in his arms and headed towards his car while Eve scre-med in pain, the pains were getting unbearable.
“You’ll be fine okay, just hang on.” He assured as he placed her on the passenger seat in front.
Just as he was about to get in,the explosion occurred and he fell to the ground, gro-ning.
“Hale!!”Eve got down immediately and went to him. The bullet had caught him in the stomach and he was bleeding.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry for dragging you into all of this..” she whimpered, holding him to herself,tears streaming down her cheeks. They were both bleeding.
“Now is not the time for this Eve, get out of here. Get into the car and drive off !” Hale shouted, pushing her back into the car as he looked up to see Philip staggering towards them with a hand still clasped to his shoulder,while his gun was in the other.
“No baby….” She called for the first time and that really surprised him. ” I can’t leave you here,we are both getting out of here. Come on. Get up!” she wiped her tears with the back of her hand and tried to raise Hale from the floor but he protested.
“Go Eve don’t worry about me, I’m sure the cops are already here. Get into the car and get the hell out of here!!” He whisper yelled.
Philip was almost close to them,with his gun pointed at them this time but still Eve persisted. “No, I’m not going anywhere, you’re coming with me.”
“Eve, get out of here! Save yourself and the baby. Go I’ll handle this myself. Save our child!”Hale shouted at her, Philip was close.
“NO!” She snapped. “I’m not ever leaving you again,no matter what. We’ll pull through this together!” she assured and k-ssed him. “The last thing I want is you getting hurt because of me,if he’s going to kill you then he has to kill me too,I can’t watch you die because of me. I love you baby. I love you so much.” she k-ssed him again and pulled back slowly as he stared at her. Gobsmacked.
Did she mean that?
“I never thought you loved me back Eve. I thought you hated me” He gro-ned, coughing out blood as his face contorted in pains.
“Yes I did but that was when you first brought me to your house. But since the day when I got stabbed, I started growing feelings but i wasn’t so sure. I was still so absorbed with getting back at you and, badly absorbed with my love for Philip and when he abducted me. I knew i had left a bigger piece of me behind. I tried to come back,I begged but Philip wouldn’t let me, Rose told me to always follow my heart. And that’s what I want to do right now, I love you Hale. If we’re to die,then let’s do it together”She k-ssed him again and he k-ssed her back.
He withdrew and smiled at her. “I love you too Eve,so much.” He glanced at her stomach and stared back at her face. ” I love the both of you. I really do..”
He pulled her close to himself, cuddling her slowly as they were both loosing consiousness, oblivious to the fact that Philip was standing right in front of them.
“Love bird, how pathetic!”Philip laughed,still pointing his gun at them. “Who should I kill first, you..” he pointed his pistol at Eve and she winced.
“Don’t you dare try it…” Hale sneered.
“Or maybe it should be you, my bastard brother.”Philip frowned and pointed the gun at Hale. “How I’ve been waiting for this day,after taking everything away from me, you think you can be at peace and have a family while I suffer. You took Sonia,you took Joanna and now Eve. Why does it have to be you brother?.”
“Just let us go please…” Eve sniffled.
“Why,so you’ll run to the hospital and try to save that thing you’re carrying.And after some months you’ll bring it into this world while I sit back and watch it run around and call you, Mom, Dad. No, I can’t do that,so now I’m going to kill it for real..” He navigated the gun to Eve’s stomach but Hale shifted and shield her with his body.
“Brother, I hope you know this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world,it would blow your head clean off..” Philip jeered,a smirk playing across his face but Hale didn’t budge. He was like an amour to Eve who was still in pains.
“I see you’re ready to die,if it’s death you want then I’ll gladly kill you. No I’ll kill the both of you and that demon she is carrying..” He c*cked his gun and they heard the explosion.
