Episode 28( Eve)
“You said you wanted to talk to me,where are you taking me to?what is this Philip? Why are you doing this,you promised not to waste my time. You said you needed someone to talk to, I’m here now. What then are you doing? Is this how we’ll be having our ex’s talk now?” Eve kept yelling at Philip who gripped the steering in anger.
Immediately he flared. “Shut the f-ck up bitch,you whine a lot!”
Eve gapped at him, surprise was an understatment. She was gobsmacked.
She couldn’t believe Philip yelled at her and even called her a bitch.
She stared at him and the tears flowed freely as he negotiated a bend.
“You are still very naive Eve. I thought Hale taught you better than this” He laughed.
What was happening? Eve thought, this is the second time he’s seen him like this – that night and now,when she don’t even know what she did wrong. Was this Philip? Why was he acting so violent? Is it because of his fight with Hale?
“Philip? Why are you acting this way?” she flustered but Philip laughter doubled. “Oh my dear Eve, I’m going to have so much fun with you. Fun we never had when we were together, don’t worry it’ll just be the two of us.” He touched her cheeks, and out of fear she moved away from his reach.
“Don’t even try to shy away from me,this is what you’ve always wanted. To get back with me, we’re together now” He smirked.
“You’re beginning to scare me..” Eve muttered.
“Don’t be, you’re too gorgeous to be this feeble..” he said then lasped into a painful laughter.
“Yes,you are a drop dead gorgeous
but stupid woman. We split up didn’t we? and I just popped up in your matrimonial home yet you k-ssed me.? Or are we still dating?,no doubt you would’ve slept with me if we had a chance..”
“Philip stop this madness, Please. I k-ssed you because I still love you. I didn’t intend to cheat on Hale.”
“Hale?! I don’t want to hear you mention that Bastard name again ” He grabbed her wrist, squeezing
it tightly.
“He is your brother!” She snapped,in case he had forgotten.
“No,he is my parent’s bastard son.”
Philip sneered through clenched teeth.
“Philip, let me go! Stop, youre hurting me!” she pleaded trying to wriggle her wrist free from Philip’s tight grip but all effort seemed abortive.
He finnaly losen his grip on her, fixing his eyes on the road.“For a wh0le year I’ve been trying to get back at Hale for the death of Sonia and Joanna,but there was no way I could do it. So I let everything pass. But that fool wanted to get back at me mostly for the death of Sonia by sleeping with you and When he decided to marry you. I knew exactly what to do.” He laughed but Eve stared at him. Flustered.
What he was saying didn’t make any sense to her.
Sonia and Joanna?
Who were they?
what happened to them?
Why was he getting back at Hale?
Did he kill them?.
“My bastard brother must have hurt you to get back at me. But the thing is he is so emotional, I knew it won’t take long before he falls head over heels in love with you,so I gave him time to do so and when I knew he did. I was happy all i needed to do was just talk to you and as stupid as you were,you fell under my spell. You fell for me again Eve,you fell for all my lies and I knew I had gotten Hale most priced jewel- his pregnant love” He laughed again,hærd!.
So all this had just been a plan to get back at Hale? She thought. That wonderful moment,the k-ss, it meant nothing to Philip? Eve’s eyes gleamed with fresh tears as realization dawn on her. She was played-Fooled-Deceiv­­ed.
“I didn’t need to sugarcoat words to you. I knew you’d fall for me, I knew he was watching through the door so i k-ssed you to get him angry and damn he fell for it. He came towards us and punched the hell out of me. I allowed it. So i wont appear as the bad guy in front of you but when I saw that blackie drag you away from the scene,I knew you were gone so I had my revenge but then I saw you pop your head into the gate I allow him beat the hell out of me.”
“Stop this! Its not true. You still love me. You wanted that k-ss!” Eve scre-med at him in tears.
Yes he still love her,he should!..She could bet with her life she was touched by his love. The k-ss was genuine.
“I used to,I never wanted you to get involved but then you got in between everything. You’re now carrying his child Eve, you’re the only way I can get my revenge back at him.”
“No,no stop this. I don’t understand all this,what are you saying? Who is Sonia who is Joanna?” Her voice cracked.
“Oh dear Eve you’ve missed out a lot. Don’t worry I’ll tell you everything.” He was staring at her with what?_ with pity.
“You see Sonia and Hale were in love, but I loved her too . The thing is she didn’t love me back, so I couldn’t take seeing both of them together, anytime I saw them it was like my heart is being stabbed. I wanted her all for myself. I wanted her to be mine, I tried everything I could to make her mine. What didn’t I do, gifting, begging, fighting, mention more but still she didn’t want me. Damn unrequited love is a bitch ”Philip thumped the wheel. “I needed her to love me too. I couldnt sleep without seeing her at least once. I needed to touch her, car-ss her. But she only adored that fool!” He yelled,gripping the wheel in anger, his knuckles turning white.
Eve gulped and shifted uncomfortably in fear. This Philip was different from the one she always knew. What had suddenly
possessed him? Why was he acting this way?
“Then i grew insane, I abducted her, i took Sonia. Damn! I was pleased. I had her all to myself, her body was so sweet to touch, i touched her every where,did everything I wanted to do with her, she was mine. F-cking mine! Until that fool found out,he had the guts to fight me , I could have killed him. I could have. But then Sonia stabbed herself all because of him!.” He thumped the wheel again.
“We both mourned her in different ways he took into doing drugs while I celibated,months later I found Joanna and I fell in love with her but then that bastard was there, he’s always there!. She made me believe she loved me when she was
busy frolicking with him . Everything was a f-cking love triangle and when I found out I grew mad. One thing led to the other and we ended up in a fire exchange. I really wanted to kill him so I pulled the f-cken trigger but he pushed Joanna forward and she got shot instead. I don’t know why she had to be there during that time,he killed her and made it appear like I did. Another woman I loved died too still because of him and when I found you, I thought I found someone I could settle down with but then he came again,so I killed that woman he’s been hiding from me. What’s that her name again?, Ashley, he hid her so I won’t get to her but nothing is hidden behind the sun. I found her and I killed her but that isn’t enough to make him pay for all what he’s done to me. He took away three women I cherished most.
Sonia,Joanna and even you end up being with him. Why is he always there in between my love life. We have the same face so why must he always be the one? what’s always making all of you to fall for him? He’s always having fun while I suffer in pains. Can’t you see he’s hurt me pretty bad and that is why I’ll never stop hurting him.!” He shouted and Eve jumped in fright, fear. She moved away,her pupils dilating.
Philip was the real murderer here, not Hale.He had drawn Sonia and Joanna to their early death, not Hale. He had abducted Sonia, not Hale. He had done all evil things to her, not Hale. Hale had turn a monster because of his brother.
Why didn’t she know that Philip had hidden intentions when he came for her?. She queried herself silently and began to cry again. Eve realised that she had been a fool for love. She ought to have known the reasons why Philip came back. She ought at least to have known what happened between the two brothers. But no! Blinded by love as it were,here she was scared of a man she once loved. The tears flowed freely.
“Now I’m going to make him pay for all he did to me! He would pay for every pain he caused me. And i know how to cause him pain, i know how to make him sad. I know how to kill Hale. Its you Eve. You are the source of Hale’s pain. He loves you and his unborn child so much and he would do anything to get you but with me he’ll never set his eyes on that baby,infact that thing will never come into this world. It’ll only remind me of him anytime I see it.You think Hale is a demon? No, Im the greater Demon Eve. I am a demon” he laughed again.
“You know what,stop the car I’ll like to urinate..” Eve gulped but didn’t get any response from Philip who changed gear to increase the pace of the car.
“Philip ! Philip! where are you taking me to? let me out of this car this instant” Eve banged at the door as she shouted at Philip.
“Shut up bitch!” he yelled, hitting the steering angrily.
They were driving through a lonely crossroad,with no other car in view. she didn’t know where they were going and she was scared.
After Philip showed her his true side, she felt more vulnerable and weak.
She missed Hale and wished he was the one. At least she knew what he was capable of doing but with Philip she didn’t.
Tears streamed down her cheeks and she wiped them away. She felt helpless, lonely,betrayed,fool­ish.
For the first time in her life she wished Hale was there, she wanted him to come.
After some hours on the road,Philip cornered a wood and pulled infront of a cabin which stood close to a cliff. The wh0le place was des**ted,no one was there. There was no house around,only just the cabin and trees. Eve cringed in fear.
“We’ll have a good time together, don’t worry no one is going to find you here” Philip smiled.
“Please Philip, I want to go back, take me home please.” She pleaded, wriggling slowly in her seat.
“No Eve, we would stay here, me and you. Alone with no disturbance” Philip chuckled, opening the door and getting out.
She still looked at the house, it was dark, lonely and scary, no she won’t go in there. So she stayed in the car not venturing to get out.
But Philip had his own plans, he went over to the passenger seat where Eve cowered,opened the door and dragged her out.
“No! No, please Philip. I don’t want to go in there” she cried trying to get away from his grasp.
“Come here Eve stop being stubborn, we are going to have a nice time here” He hoisted her out of the car and draped her over his shoulder as if she weighed nothing at all.
“Let go of me!! Let go!!”. She yelled, hit him, trying to get away from him but it was no use. They got to the cabin and he opened the door and she shivered from fear. Everywhere was pitch dark and she could barely see the room but he pushed her into it.
“I’ll get some smoke from the car” He announced. “Stay here, i would be back soon”
“You smoke?” Eve was surprised.
Never have she seen him smoke before.
“Of course I do, I’ll just get it..”
“No please let me come with you, i’m afraid of the dark” she said gripping Philip arm, trying to go out with him.
“Stay here Eve!” Philip bawled. “Get the f-ck off me bitch!”
Yet still,she held unto him tighter, afraid of the intense darkness.
“Get off”
He pushed her hærd and she fell, hitting her head on a hærd surface. Then Philip locked the door.
“No!No!No Philip! please let me out!” she shouted but no response.
“Philip!”
Still no response.
She banged on the door, tried the door knob but nothing worked.
Her heart began to thump and she shivered in fear, because of the pitch darkness.
Something touched her and she scre-med but it was only the curtains.
When she heard a noise, she scre-med again. It was just the sound of a squirel making a shattering noise on the dry grass outside but she shrinked with fear.
She tried to keep silent as she listened h-rder but could hear nothing else. Another sound came and she jumped, fumbling for something to hold unto and as she did so her fingers skimmed over a glass table and she touched a remote.
Instinctively as if that was the solution to her problem, Eve picked up the remote and punched the first button her finger touched and the light ignited.
All the lights came on and her fear vanished when the darkness was driven away.
She toss the remote on the table and sighed when she looked around the living room she was standing in. It was beautiful,Three pink sofas and two white ones formed a circle against a big plasma perched on the wall in permanent sleep,three split units perched on the wall sending out chill air to the room,an enormous chandelier hung from the ceiling, shining brightly,a mahogany glass table stood in front of her,on one side of the wall was a huge drink bar with decorated glass shield.
She saw a narrow hall and walked through it without hesitation. She wanted to get away from Philip. She needed to get back to Hale.
Walking through the hall,she came across a door. Eve opened it and saw a room. The room was effable just like the living room but she wasn’t at ease. She still needed to get away. So she walked into the room hoping to see an escape route but there was none.
Frustrated,she made to leave the room but stopped as she felt someone breathe gently on her neck and she turned around to see Philip feeding her to a look of ravishment. Her heartbeat increased,it was an irregular heartbeat because even Philip could hear it. She was terrified but helpless.
“My dear Eve…” He placed a cold hand on her shoulder and she tensed,so that his hand fell loosely from her shoulder.
“What is it.?” He questioned as she whimpered.
“I want to go home,please take me back to Hale. Take me back to my husband..” she pleaded frantically and instantaneously his mood changed. His face was a vicious mask of anger.
“Didn’t I tell you never to mention that bastard name again? I brought you here, so you’ll be with me. To stay with me. We would get married and have kids,no one is going to find you here.”
Eve stared at him as frustration cringed her eyes.
Was he insane?
Get married and have kids?
When she is still married to his brother? And carrying his child?
What has possess him?.
“I can never be your wife Philip! I’m still married to your brother for Christ sake. I can never marry you,what is wrong with you,you abduct and force me to marry you when I’m still with your brother, Is this the same thing you did to Sonia before she took her own life? Is this what you told her that made her take her own life” she yelled,frustration making her bold.
“Don’t you dare involve Sonia into this bitch! I loved her” He sneered.
“No you’re always obsessed! you were
also obsessed with her, you wanted her so badly. You can never force the heart on who to love, that’s one thing I learnt from you. She was in love with your brother not you,and even Joanna. You couldn’t just accept the fact that those two women were in love with Hale so you killed them. You are a monster Philip not Hale”
She scolded Philip who laughed and drew closer to her.
Eve gulped and backed up a couple of steps..Her shell of confidence collapsed immediately.
“You want to know who a monster is?come I would show you one” He grabbed her by her hair and forcefully k-ssed her.
“Get away from me!!” Eve yelled, struggling to wriggle herself from his grip but it was no use as he flung her to the bed.
Episode 29
(Scar of the heart)
Eve sprang up from the bed,in a quick motion for the door but he caught her by her hair and pulled her back.
“Where do you think you’re going to?” He roared and threw her on the bed again.
“Stay away from me! Just let me go please!!” Eve begged but her pleas fell on deaf ears as he was already on top of her and in few minutes her clothes were torned off from her body.
She was already in tears. “No Philip, please i beg you. Please!” she begged. This was happening again, first with Hale now Philip.
“Just don’t fight it and I promise you’ll enjoy it..”
He laughed and unbuckled his clothes too.
She tried to push him away,slap,hit as she turned and turned, trying to get away but her efforts were all useless and when he plunged into her, she scre-med in pain but he was like a man possessed by a thousand demons that night and her,a helpless victim in the grip of a bear,being mauled and mauled.
“philip, please! stop! i beg of you!stop please!somebody help” she scre-med at the hot rode searing into her entrail but her ravisher was unmoved by her sepulchal scre-ms, he seemed to be in a land of pleasure as he took her in.
He touched her everywhere, from her face, br-ast, stomach, h¡ps. He touched her everywhere, squeezing and feeling,but her scre-ms increased. The pains were unbearable compared to Hale’s.This was worse..more painful.
Philip k-ssed her again, almost tearing her l-ips as he forced himself into her. She struggled!scre-med!C­­­ried!Cursed.Turned­.
But to no avail, Philip continued and the pains grew intense.
He was laughing, smiling down at Eve, touching, plunging.
Seconds switched into minutes,but Philip never stopped.He kept taking her.
She thought of Hale.
She wanted him there.

That night,when Philip had gone, Eve got up from the bed too weary to even carry her own weight. She went over to the bathroom to clean up for the second time and for the second time she vomited on the bathroom floor.
She stood rooted to that one s₱0t for what seemed an eternity. Gradually, the urge to vomit receeded. She felt empty and drained. Her head spun from dizziness and everything around her began to swirl round and round inch by inch,she dragged her weightless body along,until she was in the bath. Eve washed herself, towelled lightly and with the same slowness,inched away from the bathroom. She felt a little better but her head still ached.
On getting into the room,she fell on the bed and cried uncontrollably until she fell asleep.
Philip came into the room about an hour since she had fallen asleep. A hand was tucked in his pocket and a cigarette dangled between his l-ips. Lately, his nicotine intake had so increased that he always had a cigarette between his l-ips. Philip moved closer to the bed and noticed that Eve was wearing absolutely nothing and was lying face up. He gazed at the sleeping beauty, wondering how many men had really seen their partners unclad. He never had,until this day.
He took another look at her. How beautiful she looked! He prodiged at her flawless skin,her nice curve,her firm br-ast. He looked on, engrossed in his own thoughts. Gradually,he felt something rustle in the tickets of his trouser throbbing with life.
Killing the lights of the stub of his cigarette,he sat on the bed and began to touch her all over, dropping trails of light k-sses on every part of her body,just then, Eve opened her eyes,just once to stare at him,but was too weak and tired to protest. She only managed to shed some more tears and soon was wriggling under him again.

“Where the hell is Philip?” Hale asked angrily for the umpteenth time but Ramsey who was strapped to an electric chair didn’t give an answer.
“Screw you Jack!” He gro-ned, gurgling out blood.
Hale had taken him for questioning but he wouldn’t talk and Hale wouldn’t give up too, people confess to anything under torture so he’ll make him talk under
the duress. They were in a torture chamber and he was going to make him bleed. All for Eve. Just to know where she was.Who knew what Philip was already doing to her .
“He is going to pay for all he had done to me and my amorous wife. It scares me to think what I’ll do to Philip but I will give him the most horrible death ever. No one touches Eve and my baby and goes scot free. No one!” he swore under his breath,then turned to Ramsey.
“You don’t want to tell me where Philip is right,. Dont worry i have my own plans”He smiled and that scared Ramsey but he dare not budge.
Hale picked up a taser and tasered the bastard on his chest.
Ramsey scre-ms filled his ears and he smiled. His pains mounted Hale’s happiness,making him satisfied. He was happy. Ramsey’s pains and scre-ms were his joy.
“Where is Philip?”he asked again withdrawing the taser.
“Please, i swear i dont know” Ramsey said, scre-ming loudly as reflex pain invented by the stun gun, shoot up his brain.
“Wrong answer” he patted his head and picked up a little device,which looked like a tong and clipped it in his canine tooth.
“P-pl-lease…I sw-ear i dont know..Please” He managed to stutter.
“okay” Hale said and withdrew the tong, pulling the canine tooth out of it’s gum. It fell to the ground and Ramsey scre-med, begging Hale to stop but he didn’t listen- he wouldn’t not unless he got an information about Philip’s whereabout.
He pulled out one of his wangtooth, his bicuspid, and his incisor.
In a few minutes, all his significant masticatory tooths were on the floor,only the insignificant ones were left. But he wasnt done yet. Anyone who knew about Philip’s whereabout was going to die if they didnt tell him.
“Pl….Pl…ple-ase…I swear ..i don’t know” Ramsey said, tears dropping from his eyes. He was in agony.
“You see. I dont believe you one bit. You are Philip best friend, Ramsey. He keeps secrets from family members but if anyone knows about him it is you. Where is he?”
“I dont know” He said.
“Wrong answer…” Hale wagged his index finger and picked up a dirk. He held out Ramsey’s left hand and cut off his pinkie,his pinkie fell to the floor as he detached it from his hand.
Ramsey cursed, scre-med and trashed all over the place as blood seeped through his finger.
“You’ll need a real surgery if you don’t tell me what I want to hear, I’ll cut off your balls and force it into your mouth. I’ll pluck out your eyes and feed it to you. Now talk!”He dropped the dirk.
“We’ve known each other for a long time now,why are you doing this?” Ramsey whimpered.
“Because you don’t want to talk. Phillip has my sweet Eve,and I’ll kill to get her back. Don’t you get it?” He yelled but Ramsey didn’t reply,he was in agony.
“Since you don’t want to give me what I want,then I’ll torture you to death.” He walked up to a socket and switched it on. The socket was connected to a wire which was connected to the chair so when he put on the power,electricity passed through it and into Ramsey’s body.
Ramsey juddered in his chair as he was being electrocuted,his teeth was clenched. His fist tightened and his viens bulged out as his face turned red. He was in serious pains. The chair was draining out blood in him. He continued jerking in pains. Everything in his body shoot violently as he reacted to the high voltage passing through him.
“Now tell me what I need to know..”
Hale switched off the electricity supply and Ramsey’s body slouched.. He was free from the shock and was calm.
“I-I d-on’t know any-thing.. I swear…” He coughed blinking his bloodshot eyes and Hale huffed,overtly disappointed.
“You don’t want to tell me right?” Hale queried staring at him.
His eyes were extremely red and blisters covered them, while his body looked pale. He had lost a lot of blood.
“Please stop i don’t know anything” He pleaded as Hale darted his eyes to the switch again.
“I will stop as soon as you tell me where they are ”He said and switched on the electricity again, increasing the voltage to the highest current.
He was going crazy every passing minute without Eve. He wanted her. He needed her to survive. He missed her face,her voice,he needed to watch his baby grow in,side of her. He would do anything to have her back.
Eve can’t be with that monster. He concluded.
Meanwhile, Ramsey’s body kept juddering.He was breathing heavily, blood gushed out of his nose. His face almost ivory. His veins were bold. He was near death but Hale wouldn’t let him go.
“Wait” He said almost inaudibly, wadding a weak finger to affirm his utterance.
“Are you ready to talk now?”
Hale smirked and switched off the socket, killing the current.
Ramsey was calm,he breathed deeply. “They’re in a cabin. City center…”

That morning when Eve woke up, Philip was sleeping by her side and snoring lightly. She sat up and stared at him. He was sleeping on his stomach and his upper body was bare. He didn’t have anything on,just the same pair of trouser he had on last night.
Eve stared at his broad shoulders and the tough hide, wondering how a man could be this cruel and heartless. She was still engrossed in her thoughts when Philip’s phone chimmed. A message had pop in. She glance at the phone and glance back at him as an idea pop into her head.She would use his phone to send Hale a message to come get her because he took hers so she wouldn’t communicate with anyone.
She quietly took his phone which was on the nightstand,just then, he stired but didn’t wake up.
Eve heaved a huge sigh of relief and pressed the power button. She tried operating it but there was a password.
She still remember the password he often use when they were still dating_ yes he uses his name. She quickly tried it and to her surprise it did work.
She ignored the message which popped up on the screen and quickly navigated to the call button and searched for Hale’s number but it wasn’t there. So she began to input the numbers. Three numbers were the least she inputted when Philip stired again and woke up.
“What are you doing with my phone.?” He snatched it from her and stared at the bright screen.
Eve shivered in fear, knowing what was going to happen next. He’s seen the numbers she typed.
“N-othing.. you had a message so I wanted to give it to you.”She stammered, getting down from the bed and moving backwards.
“Liar! You were trying to call him!” Philip got up from the bed, walking towards her. The anger in his eyes were intense. She had never seen him so angry in her wh0le life.
He took another step closer and she backed up a couple of steps. Her heart pounding beneath her chest.
Her breathing hitched as she continued moving backwards. She kept backing up steps till she felt her back hit the wall.
“Sweet Eve…..” Philip smirked bracing his hands against the wall. One on each side of her, trapping her to the wall.
“You think you are so smart, trying to call that bastard to come rescue you. You’re trapped with me Eve, He won’t come for you so deal with it” He chuckled,his hot breath hitting against her skin.
“You can’t keep me here Philip. He is still your brother and I’m married to him.”she countered.
“He is not my brother and you’re no longer married to him, you belong to me now..” Philip snapped,a develish smirk playing across his l-ips.
“No,I belong to my husband not you. So even though you keep me here,I still have a piece of him in me..”
“Oh that little demon you’re carrying…” He scoffed.”I promised you it won’t come into this world right,now I’m going to kill it”
He said and she tensed.
No, Philip can’t kill the child. The only piece of Hale in her. She wouldn’t let him do it.
“No, Philip. Please. Do whatever you want with me. But please leave my innocent child out of it” she pleaded, tears clouding her eyes.
“You call it innocent. No. Anything that belonged to Hale is never innocent. This demon will bring doom upon us.”
Philip said, cupping her face with his left hand,then he punch her stomach with his right and she fell to the floor.
“If i have to damage your womb to kill that demon in you Eve. I would”Philip said and kicked her on the stomach again, continuously.
Eve gro-ned in agony. The pain was unbearable. Pains surged through her stomach as she winced audibly.
Every now and then,she tried backing off a kick by turning and blocking with her hands but the kick came more often than she could fend off.
“Please….please stop Philip,this is just an innocent baby. You’re supposed to be an uncle to it.”she cried but her pleas fell on deaf ears. Philip was staring at her stomach with so much venom,he was determined to kill whatever Eve was carrying as he kept hitting.
“P-please…”
She coughed out blood as a searing pain shot through her stomach.
“I’m trying to save you Eve. I’m trying to save you from that monster growing in you. You should be thanking me, I’m your saviour Eve, I’ll save you from it’s doom. This child has to die.” Philip laughed. Hitting her more h-rder.
