ANDREA POV

“Wow! Seems like our beauty gets to have her two prince charming, come over here”the MC said to Jack and Max.

The two came to stand beside me and some how I felt concious about it

“Now that we have the two hand some studs, the game will start now”The MC said and soon the game of truth and dare began.

“Every questions that will be asked will pertain to the girl here, your answer should be the truth, the lie detector will tell on you, so you better say the truth”he said as we all sat on a table with me in the middle

“First question goes to Andrea! If you were to choose between this two handsome stud, who would it be? This is a question and so it’s the truth we want”He said

For a while I thought of just calling Max name but when I remembered Rose and what his mother said to me,I changed my mind

“I will certainly choose any one that makes me happy”I said and the machine read that it was the truth.

“Now the second question goes to one of these handsome stud here, if you were in a relationsh¡p and you just meet this pretty lady, will you go for her even knowing that you have some one?”the MC asked Jack who stood by the

“Well am lucky not to have some one yet and I wouldn’t mind to have you “Jack said starring at me and making all the students go wild with his answers

“That was quite deep”the MC said getting our attention again

“Can’t you ever be serious!”I muttered at him and then focused on the competition

“If some thing precious to you had fallen into the river and at the same time this beauty had fallen into the river, who will save first?”he asked looking at Max

“I will certainly save the beauty, I can lose what’s precious to me as long at the beauty is save”he said this staring at me but I didn’t look at him

“A solid answer, seems like this two studs of ours is in favour of the beauty”he said

“Why don’t we go a bit more deeper, let’s move onto the dare part”The MC suggested.

A while later while the students were busy dancing and having fun, I felt a bit sad and I wanted to be alone.

I excused myself, wanting to go to the tent o shared with Beatrice and Brenda.

An early night will help my broken heart a bit, I thought.

I was surprised to see Max crouched in front of the tent and it seemed like he was waiting for some one.

“Why are you here ?”I asked and when he saw me, he stood up quickly.

“I was waiting for you”he replied

“For what?”I asked still feeling hurt by him getting back with Rose

“Can we go and talk some where else?”he asked

“Am tried Max, if you have to tell me any thing, just tell me here and you should do it fast before Rose comes for you”I added that last part just so he could leave and go to her but he didn’t

“Andrea?Andrea?”we both heard Jack calling her and quickly Max opened up our tent and pushed me into it.

It was quite dark and all I knew was that Max was with me in the tent

“I have to know why he is looking for me”I whispered to Max

“Not now, not until I get to talk to you finish”he whispered back

“Andrea! Where could she have gone?”Jack said as he walked off.

“See he is gone”Max said to me and quickly I turned on the tent light

“What is it that you want Max?”I asked

“Would you believe me if I told you that I want you?”he said

“If this is some kind of joke to you,I would ask you to leave now, Rose is waiting for you and it will be unfair for you to leave her there and be here with me”I said

“Am not dating Rose”he said

“Don’t try to lie Max, every one knows that you are……..”

“Am not dating her and I don’t think I will ever date her because I like some one else”He said

Once again i felt sad, he is not dating Rose but he likes some one else, I thought

“Well I hope she likes you back Max, I need to freshen up, so will you please leave”I said trying to hold back my tears

“Well I certainly hope she likes me back because am risking it all to tell her”He added

“I think the girl you like should be the one hearing this”I said

“Of course she should after all am telling her right now”he said suddenly

“What?”

“You are the one Andrea, the one I like, the one I want,Its neither Rose or any one else, it’s you”he said and before I could stop him he walked towards me and k-ssed me

At first I was still surprised by his confession but when I realised that he really loves me, I began to k-ss him back.

It took a while before he let go of each other, I stared at him while he did the same to me

“Am not just imagining this right?”I asked

“You are not imagining it”he replied giving me a k-ss again

“You do like me ?”I asked again and he nodded

“I still can’t believe this, just a while ago I thought you were dating Rose,that you will never see me as some one you can love,that I be the only one Suffering for what I felt for you”I said

“Have always like you Andrea, I told myself not to,I tried to stay away from you but I kept on going back, I get angry and jealous each time I see you with a guy, I always want to protect and watch over you and it was also one of the reason why I kept your secret, I knew that if people were to find out,you will leave and I didn’t want that, I didn’t want to lose you, so now you know how much I like you, tell me? do you feel the same?”he asked

“Do I feel the same? Of course I do, I love you so much that each time I see you I always want to cover you with k-sses, I always want to hold you and tell you how much I like you, I always feel hurt each time I see you with Rose,I always hate it when you avoid me and told me to stay away,I always go red and I feel butterflies in my stomach, I like you so much that i can’t live with out you, does that answer your question?”I asked

“Yes it does”he said and pulled me to him, hugging me tight

“I also like you that I can’t live without you”He whispered into my ear and I held him tight

I can’t believe that am here with Max, that I just told him that I like him.

“It still feel like a dream,” I said as we both strolled around the camping ground

The others were still having fun and so they won’t notice us being around.

“We will have to keep our relationsh¡p a secret”I said as he held my hand

“Why?”he asked

“I got a feeling that your mom doesn’t like me and that she wants Rose for you”I said

“You know very well that I don’t care about what my mom says”he said

“But I do Max, to you your mom is your mom but to me and my mom she is our boss, she had called me in some time ago and had asked me to keep my distance, she thinks am the reason why you hærdly talk to Rose”

“She doesn’t have a right to do that ?” He said

“Well as your mother she does and she wants you to have the best which is Rose”

“I don’t want Rose, as long as I have you,I don’t care about having the best”he said

“Can we just keep it a secret for now, am afraid that if people were to know, we will have to separate and I don’t want that”I said and he hugged me

“Fine then, we will keep it a secret”He replied still hugging me.

“What are you two doing ?”some one said suddenly and quickly I pulled away from Max only to see Brenda looking at us

“Nothing! Andrea was just feeling down a bit”Max replied quickly saving me from explaining

“I know why she is feeling down and it’s all because of you”Brenda said as she moved towards us

“You are being cruel on her again? Why are you always cruel to pretty girls, common Andrea let’s go”Brenda said as she pulled me off

I turned to whisper a good night to him before we walked out of his sight.

ANDREA POV

“If you have ever lied to your partner, put up your hands”Beatrice said and we that were gathered there raised our hands

After the party last night, every one have decided to play around and Beatrice along with the guys were all playing while seated on the field.

I stood watching them and I didn’t want to join because weird questions would be asked and I didnt want that.

Just then I got a text and it was from Max, asking me to come to the cafeteria and quickly I gave him a reply, telling him that I will be there soon and I was heading there when Jack pulled me back.

“Where are you in a hurry to?”He asked

“To do some thing, I will be back soon”I said wanting to leave but he pulled me back into his arms

Some how I found myself being in his arms, he had a strange look on his face

“Are you going to see him?”he asked

“See who?”I asked still feeling shocked that I was in his arms.

“Did you get to tell him of your feeling?” He asked again.

I had no idea what he was talking about but when he asked his last question, I finally got an inkling

“Did you tell him?”he asked again

“Since you happen to know how I feel about Max, I think you should know that he and I are dating, we haven’t told anyone about it, you are the first and I would like it if you didn’t tell any one”I said and then giving him a smile I pulled away and ran towards the cafeteria.

I didn’t see the sad look that appeared on Jack face nor the way he clenched his fist in anger.

I got to the cafeteria only to find it empty,i walked in wondering where Max could be

I brought out my phone wanting to send him a message when some one wrapped his arm around me from behind

“Looking for me?”he asked as he pulled me to him

“Where were you, I was worried”I said as I held him in my arms

“Hiding from you, I wanted to see if you will be worried by my absence”he said

“You know I will be worried”I said sighing a bit.

Slowly he turned me in his arms and stared at me

“I will also be worried about you Andrea, so never ever leave my sight”he said and k-ssed me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, returning his k-ss and unknown to us Jack stood by the door starring at us.

JACK POV

I stood by the door watching Max k-ssing Andrea, I felt like punching him, I felt like going to the both of them and to pull them apart but I held myself in check.

“What are you doing there?”Rose asked as she began to walk towards the cafeteria door.

“Nothing, let’s go”I said blocking her path

“We didn’t come together, so you can as well leave”she said wanting to go into the cafeteria but I pulled her hand and ran off with her

When we got to a safe distance, I let go of her and quickly sent a text to Andrea to get out of the cafeteria.

“What was that for”she asked after catching her breath

“Nothing “I replied and was about to leave when some thing she said stopped me

“Andrea and Max were the one in the cafeteria right? That’s why you ran off with me, so I won’t see them?”she asked

“If you know why did you pretend?”I asked

“I wanted to see what you will do, you like Andrea right?”she asked

“Why do you ask?”

“If you like Andrea and I like Max,we can both have what we want with out any difficulty ” she said

“So you are trying to ask for my help?”I asked

“Those two are quite too close for my comfort, I hate it each time I see them together and I know that with your help we can pull them apart” she said.

“Forget it, I would rather partner with the devil than with you”I said as I began to walk off.

“Fine then, you lost your chance to be with Andrea, I know for a fact that I will be marrying Max, his parents and my parents will make that possible, that would leave Andrea devastated and am sure that by then she wouldn’t want any one in her life again, even if you went to her, she wouldn’t be yours but If you choose to help me now, you will get to have Andrea while I have Max”

I must admit that the idea sound tempting but I know better than to join hands with Rose.

“It’s still a no”I said and walked off in anger.

If Max was to marry Rose then that is bound to leave Andrea in misery

Does she even know this, I doubt that Max have told her about it.

I turned into an hall wall only to see Max walking towards me

“Just what did you text Andrea that got her leaving the cafeteria?”Max asked as he walk towards me.

Still reeling from anger,I pulled him roughly by his shirt

“What ever you have going with Andrea should stop now”I said and he pulled off my hand

“Why should I listen to you ?”

“You know the kind of life we have, it’s either we get married due to some business arrangement or because our parents have chosen it, we have no say in it and we certainly can’t fight it, so before things gets worse break up with Andrea”

“I won’t break up with her and as you have said our future partner are either given to us by our parents or through a business arrangement but mine will be different”Max replied fiercely

“And how will it be different when your parents have already planned your engagement with Rose, am sure Andrea doesn’t know about this?”I asked

“I will deal with my engagement with my parents m,so quit being annoying”

“Not when it comes to Andrea happiness, I won’t let you mess it up” I said and walked off angrily.

MAX POV

Hands in hands Andrea and I walked the short distance back home.

The school trip had ended and everyone head back to their respective house.

I still can’t believe that am with the girl I love although the fight I had with Jack earlier got me feeling worried.

Will my parents really force me to marry Rose whom I still hate and dislike.

Not after what happened with Nick, they wouldn’t want to get me angry, I thought as I held Andrea hand tightly

“Is some thing bothering you?”She asked and I got out my reverie to stare at her

“Am wondering where we should go to on our first date”I lied

“Ahhhhh…..I think that should be left to you, you are the guy and you should be the one doing the thinking “she replied

“Really? Why can’t the girls do the thinking too”I asked

“Because we can’t be bothered, so you better start thinking of a place we can go to, i want to know how far you are willing to please me”she said and wanting a bit of mischief, I pulled her closer and said into her ear

” I know of a better way to please you”

“My God Max, you really are a play boy”She said as she pulled away from me

“Why don’t I use my playboy wiles on you”I said as I pursued her

“Stay away!”she yelled as she ran off but I got to her and I pulled her to me, holding her tight and giving her a k-ss.

We were so lost in

each other that we didn’t notice that some one was watching us.

“We will have to start here”She said as she stopped us both by the route that led to the house

“Start what?”

“Our pretence, I might be your girlfriend but that will only be out of your house, in your house we are only just employer and employee”she said.

“I wish I can do some thing about it”I muttered to her

“But we can’t do a thing, we both know that I would never be accepted by your parents and if they were to find out that you and I are dating, they might do some thing to separate us quickly and I don’t want that, not yet at least”

“What has the least part got to do with this? We are not going to separate, even if my parents doesn’t wasn’t you for me,I will do my best to have you in my life , no one will separate us okay”I said and gave her a gentle k-ss before heading into the house first

Some how I felt that the promise I made to Andrea will never be kept.
