I rushed out of the building with Jenny. Jenny stood in front of our building waiting for bike, beckoning on any one that came our way
I was with her but was totally confused on what step to take. Should I go to the hospital with her? When we, including Frank are not in talking terms or should I just stay back?
No she will be needing my support ! She is still my sister even though we are not in talking terms
Jenny stopped a bike, entered and the bike man sped up immediately. She didn’t even bother to ask if I was going
I wasn’t with any money so I went in to get my purse
” Madam what is the problem? Why is madam Jennifer crying and running? Who beat am?? ” Audu asked immediately I stepped into the building
I didn’t know what exactly to tell him and why is he asking? Is that any of his business??
Ignored him, went into my room , got my purse and set to leave but mun drove in almost immediately so I stopped to at least tell her what is going on
“Angela where are you going to? Mum asked immediately she stepped out the car
” Mum Frank had an accident ” I said ignoring her questions
“What!! When? How? Where ? ” Mum asked looking bordered
“Jenny is already on her way there and that’s where am heading to ” I said ignoring her question again
“Where exactly? ” Mum asked again
“Emm erh I dnt really know” I said stammering. That was when i remembered I didn’t get the name of the hospital from Jenny
” You dnt know but we were about to leave the house! Confused human being ” Mum said and brought out her phone probably to call Jenny while I stood like a defeated warrior

I rushed into the hospital with tears dropping from my eyes. The nurses seemed busy . All of them were running to one room or the other but I managed to stop on of the nurses who was about to run pass me
“Excuse me nurses” I said waving my hand at her as an indication that she should stop
“How can I help you ma” She asked breathing heavily
” An accident victim was rushed to this hospital few minutes ago,..
” Yes ma. He is in the emergency ward” She said and left immediately
Oh God ! Why now? When my wedding is in two week time? I said as tears dropped down freely from my eyes
I sat in one of the chairs kept for visitors waiting for the next update from the doctor . I have already told mum the hospital so I will be expecting her in no distant time. At least I will have someone to talk to for the burden was too heavy fr me
I was still lost in thought when mum walked in with Angela
“Jenny what happened ” Mum asked looking into my face
” I dnt know mum, I just got a call and here am I ” I said as tears rolled down cheek
” Where is he now? ” Mum asked feeling very sorry fr me
” In the emergency ward ” I managed to reply
The doctor came out of the emergency ward looking around perhaps searching for the relations of the accident victim
I stood up from where I was sitting and rushed to him leaving mum and Angela behind
” Doctor what is going on? What happened to him? ” I asked looking greatly worried
” I guess you are the wife of Mr Frank ” The doctor asked and I nodded
” His condition is so bad but though it’s under our control” The said and my started beating fast
Now mum and Angela have joined us trying to know what was going on
” He lost alot of blood and he will be needing a donor ” The doctor said looking at me
” Am available , I am ready to donate ” I said crying
“What’s your blood group ma? The doctor asked
” AB” I replied wondering why he asked
” Ooh too bad . Am so sorry but You can’t donate blood to him” The doctor said getting me confused
“But why ? ” I asked immediately
” His blood group is O and AB cnt donate to O” The doctor said trying to explain more
” What are we going to do now, we can’t afford to loose him ” Mum asked from behind
” Look fr an available donor..
” Am O sir ” Angela said and eveyone turned to face her
” Then come with me ” The doctor said and Angela followed him

I came back and sat down beside mum. The doctor have already taken my blood fr test. I told him I was healthy but he insisted he will run a test before taken the blood
” Should I follow you now for the blood donation? ” I asked immediately the doctor came out holding the blood sample in his hand
” we can’t use it ” The doctor said Jenny’s face changed
” Why ” I asked looking confused
” Don’t panic ma. Congratulations ! From the blood test we did, we found out the you are pregnant and a pregnant woman cant be a donor ” The doctor said and I shaked in fear
” Preg what?? ” Mum asked from behind
” She is pregnant ma. We have no option now than to use the already available donations since none of the relations could be a donor” The doctor said and left
” Angela what is he talking about? Mum asked immediately he left
” I dnt know what he is taking about mum ” I said facing down
“Anyways let’s face what brought us here. You will have to give me a better explanation when we get home ” Mum said and went back to sit with Jenny

I sat killing myself with thoughts. It was as if the world was coming to an end for me. I wished the ground could open and swallow me but if wishes where horses, horses will fly
Mum no longer talked to me since the doctor broke the news. She just kept consoling Jenny who it seemed the tears in her eyes does not finish.
How possible is it that am pregnant? I thought . The last person I could remember having s*x with was Audu .
“Could it be Audu? Oh God!! Why me? Why now that I have decided to turn a new leaf? ” I said feeling very sad
“Angela it’s time to go ” Mum said looking at me
“Mum is Jenny not coming with us? ” I asked when I saw Jenny still sitted

I already knew that trouble awaits me at home. Why now that I have decided to change?
I entered the car not knowing what will happen next.
“Break that door ” Mum shouted when I closed the door of the car
She was all over me. All through our journey home, kept cautioning me about one thing or the other. Either the way I looked outside the car or the way I kept my head. She was just visibly mad at me
Immediately we got home mum step out of the car and orded me to go wait for her in the sitting room
I wasn’t surprised, the Yelling I got on our way home was enough evidence to prove that she was very mad at me
I went upstairs and met dad in the sitting room and greeted and he noticed it
“Angela why is your face moody? ” Dad asked after responding to my greetings
” Nothing dad” I managed to reply
“You said nothing? You must be joking. Better tell him ” Mum said immediately she entered the sitting room
“What Is going on here ? And why is Jenny not back yet? ” Dad asked looking surprised
” Dad Frank had an accident ” I said bringing up my face to face dad
” What? How? When? ” Dad asked getting up from where he was resting his back
‘ Jenny is with him the hospital ” I replied Ignoring the question
” Oh God why now? When the wedding is almost close” Dad lamented looking sad
” Are you done with the story? Tell him everything that happened ” Mum said immediately and my mood changed once again
I bent my face once again. Tears were already finding there way out of my eyes. Dad was looking at me expecting me to tell the rest of the story as mum said but I was just speechless
“Angela why are you crying? What don’t I know? Am curious” Dad said looking at me
” Your dear daughter is pregnant ” Mum finally broke the news and the tears rushing out my eyes increased
“My daughter? You mean Jenny? ” Dad asked looking more confused than ever
” Never! Not her.. It’s your foolish daughter Angela ” Mum said and dad turned to my direction looking surprised
“Angela what is your Mum talking about? “Dad asked but I couldn’t find any answer to that question. I kept quiet doing nothing but shed tears while dad still looked confused
” How did know she is pregnant or is that some sort of joke or something? ” Dad asked directing the question to mum
” Why will I be joking with something as serious as this? Your daughter is pregnant. The doctor confirmed it ” Mum explained
Dad turned and faced me. The look on his face should be best captioned as “Disappointed”.
” Angela how come? Better start explaining things to me now ” Dad said looking vexed
I turned, looked at him bent down again and started my sobbing afresh. I wish I had an answer to his question. The tears rushing down from my eyes were becoming uncontrollable. I wasn’t just myself. The whole world was coming to an end for me
” Angela you better tell us the father of that bastard before nightfall or else you will taste it not. And remember that disappointed is an understatement for what I feel about you now ” Dad said and left in anger

I opened my eyes but all I could see was a white painted ceiling. I couldn’t recognize the building . I felt my head and noticed it was bandaged all over. My legs and hand were not excluded too. All I couldn’t remember was leaving my house drunk. Yeah that was all
I tried turn my neck but the pain I got was really intense which made me shout out of pain
Jenny rushed to me immediately . She was looking worn out. I guessed she has been there since I was admitted
” Baby how are you doing ” She asked smiling and shedding tears at the same time
“What happened to me? ” I asked touching my head because it hurt so much
” You had an accident baby. So you were rushed here by some kindhearted strangers” She replied smiling at me
” Please go you dnt deserve to take care of me! I have hurt you so much ” I said feeling sad
” No baby. You deserve me every minute of your life. Though you hurt me! But that’s what relationship is all about! It’s not a bed of roses you know? ” She said smiling
I smiled back though I was very sad inside of me
“We are going to get married right? ” Jenny asked smiling widely trying to clean the tears in her eye
“Yes bby” I said smiling back
” Then get well for me. ” She said and planted a kiss on my lips
” Sure baby ” I said and she went to call a nurse
