{Calvin, The new student}

~ Two months later ~

Raymond walk into the office only to see Calvin going through some files with his female secretary and he couldn’t help but to smile.

“I will get back to you as soon as am done sir” his secretary said starring at Calvin with interest before she turn to leave.

“You know I still can’t get used to the fact that you are now cured. If I didn’t see you interacting with the opposite s*x, I will keep on believing that you are the same Calvin from two months ago” Raymond said taking his seat.

“Well you better believe it cause am finally cured” Calvin said smiling brightly.

“And that’s all thanks to the mystery girl” Raymond said which got Calvin deep in thought.

“Just what is it about her? I mean just a touch from a girl gets you feeling suffocated and all but then, you never felt that way. You even went as far as to do the you know what I mean and yet nothing happen” Raymond said thinking about that night.

“That’s what I would like to find out. Everything happened fast that night and I didn’t even get to ask for her name nor did I get to see her face” Calvin said still regretting his decision of choosing not to pull off her mask.

He had found his cure and also the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with but she had ran out on him, if he had known that she intended to leave him that night, he would have tried to see her face or know her name.

“What’s the detective saying?” Raymond asked jolting him out of his thoughts.

“Nothing so far but he’s coming to see me today. I just hope he has good news”

The door open revealing his secretary who announced the arrival of the detective.

After greeting each other, the detective began talking.

“Have found her” the detective said making Calvin and Raymond sit up properly.

“Well I haven’t really found her but what I know is that she’s a student in Wilmer high” The detective added.

“Wilmer high as in a high school?” Calvin asked.

“And what the hell was a high school student doing in my party?” Raymond said surprised by the info.

“Well to what I found out. Your party is one that a friend invites a friend and that friend invites another which leads to so many people. That must be how she heard of the party and attended” The detective explained.

“So you are saying she’s one of the students in Wilmer high?” Calvin asked and he nodded.

“To my guess they were eleven students from Wilmer high at your party and so finding one student amongst that eleven will be a lot of help” He said.

“Why must we find one and not the mystery girl? ” Raymond asked.

“If we get to find one student then he or she will lead us to the other ten students who were at your party” Calvin answered his friend already getting what the detective was trying to say.

“I now understand but how on earth will we get into Wilmer high and find a student?” Raymond asked.

“That’s the hurdle in all of this. Wilmer high is known for their top notch security due to the rich students who attend and so it will be hard to try to approach them or even find this eleven students” The detective said.

“At this point nothing should be too hard” Calvin said starring at the both of them.

“Do you know of a way to get into Wilmer high and find those eleven students?” Raymond asked.

“I do and I know it might sound crazy to you both but have got no choice, I have to find my girl” Calvin replied while they both wait for him to tell them about it.

~ A WEEK LATER ~ WILMER HIGH

A white Mercedes stop right in front of Wilmer High.

On seeing the car arrival, some of the students especially the male who were loitering around the area ran towards the car waiting for the person in it to come out.

The door open revealing a shy looking girl and when they saw her, the shouts receeded even as they glared and hissed at her.

👤 “I thought it was Katrina”

👤 “But it’s just her messenger”

👤 “Common guys! She might not be Katrina but she’s a messenger and can definitely deliver our message to Katrina”

As soon the last student said that, they all began to give the so called messenger the presents they had for Katrina, making her hands full with gift boxes and letters.

👤 “Make sure you give it to her okay?”

A student said before walking off, Bethany let out a sigh even as she stared at the gifts in her hand.

“If you all love Katrina like you claim, then you should just give it to her yourself ” Bethany muttered even as she went into school.

As she walk past some students, she notice that they were laughing at her and obviously she’s used to it.

Katrina being the daughter of a wealthy minister and also the daughter of the household her mother works for and to top it up, she’s also the most beautiful girl in Wilmer high and very popular along with her friends.

And that’s why she has been given this presents to give to Katrina directly since everyone knows about her being the daughter of a maid in Katrina house hold, Beth thought as she walk into an hall which led to the private lounge Katrina and her friend use.

When her mother had told her that she will be working and living in the home of Katrina parents, Beth had been so happy for her and that’s solely because her mother is an handicap who finds it hard to get a job.

Working as a maid in the senator house had been a blessing for her mom but on getting there, Beth was forced to watch her mom being insulted by Katrina and her devilish mother.

Beth wanted to do some thing but her mom stopped her saying if they were to get fired, she wouldn’t have a job.

And so for the three years they’ve been staying in Katrina’s home, Beth have always suck in their insults and bowed her head to the things Katrina did.

And maybe that’s one of the reason she could do nothing when Katrina stole Jason from her.

To everyone, they all think Katrina a saint and look up to her as a perfect role model but what they don’t know is that under the mask hides a very selfish and spoilt brat.

Katrina had been the one who told her father to enroll Beth in Wilmer High and back then Beth had thought Katrina had done it to help her but she found out later that Katrina had only wanted Beth there so she could keep being a slave to her even in school.

And like always, Beth took it in not doing a thing about it.

Beth got to the lounge her hands filled with gifts and ignoring the six students in the room, she went to put down Katrina gifts on the table.

“And here comes the Messenger ” Dexter said making the others laugh.

“Seems like Katrina has gotten a bunch of gifts again, Any for me?” Josephine asked Beth who shook her head in reply.

“What were you expecting? You aren’t as pretty as Katrina to recieve gifts ” Willow said throwing a book on Josephine who threw it back on him immediately.

“Did the chauffeur bring you to school?” Katrina asked Beth who nodded again in reply.

Seeing Jason, her boyfriend who Katrina seduced sitting beside her got Beth feeling hurt.

It’s been a month since Jason started dating Katrina publicly but she still felt hurt each time she sees them together.

“Why didn’t you let her take the bus as usual?” Dexter asked Katrina while referring to Beth.

“Cause Jason here touched my heart with his words” Katrina answered kissing Jason on the cheek.

“And why would Jason ask his current girlfriend to help his previous one?” Josephine asked only to recieve a glare from Katrina.

Everyone knew Beth had been dating Jason and it was a surprise to them when he began dating Katrina.

“That’s because Jason is concerned of my well being, if the students who sees me as their role model realise that Beth uses the bus to school while I have ten cars at my beck and call they will surely think me cruel and to prevent that have decided to provide transport to Beth. She needs it after all” Katrina said starring at Beth maliciously.

“That’s smart thinking ” Willow said giving her a high five.

“It is and that’s why all credit here goes to my dearest boo” Katrina said referring to Jason whose gaze kept going to Beth.

The chair at the back creak just as another student in the room got off the chair he had been sleeping on.

“Where are you off to Eric?” Dexter asked as all eyes went to him.

“You all are noisy, am going for a nap some where” Eric replied even as he left the room in a style fit for a bad boy.

“Why does that guy keeps looking hot each day?” Josephine said biting her lips while starring after Eric.

“That’s because it’s every guy you refer to as hot, dummy!” Willow said while Josephine did a f**k you sign with her fingers.

“If you don’t mind, can I leave now?” Beth asked.

“Why? Are we bothering you?” Dexter asked.

“Stay and play with us for a while, we won’t bite ” Willow added.

“Even if she decides to stay what kind of play would she play with you guys?” Josephine asked.

“Haven’t you heard of the messenger game, it certainly does suit her” Willow said while they all burst into laughter.

“Just let her go, she needs to fuel up her energy if she’s going to keep on being our messenger” Katrina added and on hearing that Beth turned to leave only for some thing to hit her on the back.

“Oops! I didn’t mean to, I think my hand slipped but nevertheless help me throw it away ” Katrina said referring to the plastic cup she threw on Beth.

Slowly Beth picked up the cup and left the room and she could hear their laughter following her all the way down the hall.

While Beth went to the block where thrash were kept, a black ferrari slid past her and some of the students who were loitering around all gathered to see the owner of the Ferrari.

On hearing the screams coming from most of the girls who gathered around the car, Beth also went to take a look and on seeing a boy whose shoes and bag showed what expensive family he came from, she let out a scoff.

“Another spoilt brat” she muttered before leaving the scene.

Calvin stood beside his Ferrari regretting the rich boy concept he decided to use on the first day of school.

The plan he had thought of and had put into action is by studying in Wilmer high.

With the help of the principal who said she will keep shut as long as he isn’t found out, Calvin was enrolled in school.

His main aim is to interact with the kids in school and find the eleven students who went to Raymond party.

But then that would be hard to achieve since using the rich boy concept has gotten him a lot of attention from the other kids.

He should have listen to Raymond who kept telling him a few hours ago to act like an ordinary student but it’s too late now.

As soon as he took off his glass, he heard some of the girls whisper amongst themselves.

👤”He’s so freaking handsome”

👤 “He’s hot too”

👤 ” If he’s a new student then I hope he will be in our class”

👤 “Gosh those lips of his is quite tempting”

👤 ” Eric is no longer my crush cause have seen a new one”

And just who is Eric and also are these kids here to learn or to admire handsome dudes, he thought as he ignore them, going into the building.

A while later Calvin was still searching for the Principal office when he saw two boys talking or better yet bullying the girl they were with.

The anger in the boys eyes got him waiting to see what’s going on.

“What did you say? I should give it to her myself, how dare you?” The first boy asked pushing the girl on the floor.

“You are just a lowly messenger and you should be glad that people like us are talking to you” the second said and Calvin found himself pitying the girl.

He had been like her once, when his sisters kept bullying him , he thought still watching the scene before him.

“If I am a messenger then you are a sissy who can’t even confess his feelings to the girl he likes and try to use someone to do that” the girl said and Calvin found himself admiring her courage.

He didn’t do that back in his own time, he always kept his mouth shut while his sisters rained insult on him.

“So you still have the effontery to speak, you poor devil” The first guy said pushing her on the head.

“Who are you glaring at? Stop glaring, stop glaring!” The second said to the girl who kept glaring at them both.

The ringing of the bell got them leaving her there and they didn’t notice Calvin who stood watching.

Beth unclench her fist and stood off the floor, she turn only to see the Ferrari guy from earlier starring at her.

Did he see what happen just now? She thought.

“I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, I just want to know where the principal office is?” He asked.

“The principal office is the last building” she found herself replying even as she hurriedly walk past him.

~ HOURS LATER ~ WILMER HIGH

Calvin was going back to the cafeteria to join his new found friends when he noticed a guy and a girl in a room.

He found himself peeping and he saw that it was Beth and Jason, Katrina’s boyfriend.

“Are they having an affair?” Calvin muttered turning to leave but on hearing something Beth said, he stopped.

“Is it because of that night? You left me because of that night two months ago. If I hadn’t gone to that masked party, would you have believed my words? Uh, if I hadn’t gone to that party with the others would you have believe me?” Beth asked Jason who kept starring down at her.

Calvin who had been eavesdropping let out a slow smile. He has found the one student who will lead him to the ten remaining students who went to Raymond party that night……
