CHAPTER 32

Still brooding over what she had seen, Kim laid in bed sobbing silently. She felt her heart rip to pieces.

“I thought he loved me. Why go after her again?” this thought kept ringing in her head and this made more tears drop.

She heard the door open and without raising her head she spoke up.

“I am not in the mood for this Landon, please go away.” She mumbled with her face buried in the bed.

“You know acting like that is kind of childish right?” Ruby stated and Kim raised her head immediately she heard the voice of a woman. It sounded familiar, but she hoped it isn’t who she thought it was.

After seeing Ruby, she showed an angry countenance making Ruby smiled.

“What are you doing here? And who let you in in the first place?” Kim asked angrily and Ruby sighed.

“I needed to see you because, in as much as we don’t like each other, I don’t want to see my friend get hurt.“ she said and Kim arched her brows.

“How do you mean?” she asked.

“Landon loves you, and you acting like this and not trusting him would hurt him and you know it. He left me for you, almost lost my job because of you, I have a boyfriend now and you think I would still be after your man? C’mon baby girl, trust your man. He does everything for you, to make you happy.” Ruby explained.

“And even the part of him hugging you Is also for my good?” she asked sarcastically and Ruby sighed.

“That was just a friendly hug. Hold on, this picture was shown to you by someone who envies you and your relationsh¡p, wants to cause havoc and you are letting him? C’mon babe, trust Landon. He doesn’t snitch on the woman he loves if at all he had any before you.” She said and Kim looked at her with an arched brow.

“You mean I am his first love? Is that even possible?” She asked and Ruby smiled.

“Has he ever talked about his ex to you? Or have you ever heard from people saying he dated someone before? He doesn’t. So for him to have loved you to the extent of seeking my help, trust me he is yours.” Ruby concluded.

“So what is this thing he contacted you for? I am curious to know.” Kim replied and Ruby smiled shaking her head.

“It won’t be a surprise anymore. You would know very soon, and when I saw very soon, I mean very soon.” She said and winked at Kim.

“Why are you being so nice?” Kim asked narrowing her gaze.

“Because I am Landon’s friend and I know he is in love and I know you are the one for him, so I am not going to let some nonentity take away my friend’s happiness,” Ruby said and Kim nodded slowly.

“So you aren’t with him?” she asked happily and Ruby shook her head.

“No, I am not. I am with my boyfriend. So hold on to your man and never let him go. He loves you.” Ruby said soberly.

Tears filled Kim’s eyes after hearing and ruminating over what Ruby had said.

“Thank you so much, Ruby. I appreciate what you have done, and I am so sorry for how I treated you before.” Kim said and Ruby shook her head reaching for her hand.

“It is fine Kim. If I was in your shoes I would have done worse. It’s understandable.” Ruby said and Kim smiled.

“I never knew you were so sweet. Come here.” Kim said opening her arms wide and receiving Ruby’s warm exchange.

“I am so happy for you Kim. You found the man of your dreams.” Ruby said and Kim giggled.

“You found yours too so stop pulling my legs,” Kim said and they both busted into laughter.

Their laughter was heard by Landon and Peter downstairs and this sent some sparks of happiness and hope into Landon.

“Guess Ruby did a good job convincing your fiancée. You should see her now right?” Peter asked and Landon nodded.

“Yes. I would go to her now.” He said walking up the stairs. He got to the door and placed his ear on the door trying to eavesdrop when the door opened suddenly and he almost fell.

“Landon?” Kim called surprisingly as she sat on the bed.

“You didn’t need to eavesdrop. See you when we see.” Ruby said winking at Kim before walking out of the room.

Landon turned to lock the door and immediately he turned to look at Kim, she was right in front of him a and their l-ips met.

Without wasting time, Landon wrapped his hands around her wa-ist and pulled her in deepening the k-ss. Kim stopped k-ssing him and rested her forehead on his.

“I am sorry for not trusting you Landon. Alex placed all the lies so true and I didn’t know what to believe again because you acted strange when you were in front of me too. I am so sorry.” She said and Landon smiled.

“It’s nothing. After all, we are not yet married.” He said sarcastically and Kim seemed lost.

“What do you mean?” She asked and Landon laughed sweeping her off her feet and carrying her to the bed.

“Was just a silly joke.” He said k-ssing her again.

THE NEXT DAY

Alex paced around the living room, he seemed worried about something and Racheal noticed this. She walked up to him and looked into his eyes.

“what is wrong this time?” She asked and he shot her a deadly look.

“Rachael hasn’t called me since I said all those things about Landon to her, I don’t know what is going on there at the moment, and it is pissing me off.” He said and she sighed bowing her head.

“Why are you like this Alex? Tell me. Don’t you love me? Why can’t you just let her be? We love each other right? Why chase after Kim after telling you in all ways that she is in love with Landon, not you.” Rachael said emotionally and Alex looked at her in surprise

“Are you kidding right now? Do we love each other? And when did I ever say that to you?” He asked and Racheal’s eyes w¡dened.

“If you don’t love me and I don’t love you, why would I be in your house almost every day. You said it yesterday when we were having s€×. Remember?” She asked and Alex scoffed.

“so anything I say when we have s€× is true? C’mon, s€× drives pleasure and I am lost when I am given that pleasure. I don’t love you, you are old.” He said and Racheal felt hurt.

“But I do love you. I know I am old but I am still very much beautiful and that is why your d**k can’t stand my unclad body in front of you. “Don’t be too comfortable okay? I can get rid of you anything. Plus, you should be ashamed of yourself. You are in love with your daughter’s friend, her age bracket. C’mon.” He said pushing her away and sitting on the couch.

“Age is just a number baby boy. Nothing is impossible, the main thing is that there is love involved.” She said going on her knees and crawling to where he sat still smoking.

“What are you trying to do this time?” He asked and she gave him a smirk.

“Shhh.” She placed her hand on their mouth keeping his mouth shut. He swallowed the words that almost dropped from his mouth when she reached for his belt and began to get rid of it.

“Are you trying to bribe me with a BJ?” He asked and she chuckled. He lifted his h¡ps and she removed the belt and pulled down his shorts making his d**k bounce.

She made eye contact with him as she moved her mouth to his microphone. She covered his c*p with it and his eyes went shut.

“Baby, we would be rewarding Alex today. Your Dad said he would be the one to call him and tell him the location.” Landon said carrying the tray of breakfast to the bed where Kim laid.

“Thank you, baby.” She said collecting the tray from him.

“You should thank your Dad, he decided to show us his cooking skills today.” He said and they laughed.

“Yeah. He is a good cook.” She said and Landon sat next to her.

“So, do you still want to go to give him the reward along with me?” Landon asked and she nodded as she ate.

“I feel like I shouldn’t give him anything if I wanted to be stupid as he is. But I wouldn’t because I am not like him. I want to let him know I am more mature than he is, so I would be there and I would thank him for saving my life.” She said and Landon smiled.

“You know what I wanted to repay him with?” He asked and Kim shook her head looking up.

“Death. I wanted to repay him with death, but then I remembered wouldn’t only turn myself into a murderer, I would complicate you and Peter and I don’t want that. He has done many things to deserve death as a reward but I would love to pretend mature and thank him for saving the life of my girlfriend.” He said and Kim giggled.

“Pretend to be matured? Stop making me laugh okay?” She said drinking water and he laughed.

“Sorry about that. Eat on time so that we would give him what he needs and then get the hell out of here.” He said and Kim nodded happily.

“I can’t wait.” She said smiling widely, and Landon leaned closer to her and k-ssed her forehead.
