🎙️ Emily’s POV 🎙️
I woke up and looked at the time, it’s just 9am
We were given a day’s rest before classes start normally tommorow so I don’t really have anywhere to go today
Am just gonna shower and go back to sleep
“Good morning Emmy” Lucy said as she stood up from her bed
“I didn’t expect you to wake up this early” I said as I took my towel
“It’s because I slept early yesterday” she replied
“Okay, am going to go take a shower first” I said as I entered the bathroom

I was done bathing and I came out of the bathroom to meet Mia in the room
“Good morning Mia” I greeted
“It’s not really a good morning Emmy, watch this” Mia said as she gave me her phone
I played the video and I was taken aback by what I saw
“Turns out Aiden’s Mom is alive and she actually sleeps around with men” Mia said
“I pity him, it must have been so hurtful” Lucy said
“But don’t you think he went too far by telling everyone his Mom is dead when she’s actually alive?” Mia asked
I couldn’t say anything as I was still trying to understand all that’s happening
Aiden didn’t want anyone to find out about his Mom, then who told the reporter?
He must be feeling miserable right now
I took my phone and I quickly called him but he didn’t pick up
Why aren’t you picking up Aiden
I quickly went to my wardrobe and wore the first cloth I saw
“Why are you in such a haste, are you going somewhere?” Mia asked
“Yes, I’ll be back soon” I said as I walked out of the room
I got to the band’s apartment, the door was opened and I walked in
Jason, Michael, Bryan and Naty were seated in the sitting room
“What are you doing here Emily?” Naty said immediately I walked in
“Where’s Aiden?” I asked
“Aren’t you ashamed? Coming here and asking of Aiden like you care” Naty said
“Am not here to exchange words with you Naty, so someone should tell me where Aiden is, is he alright?” I asked
“He locked himself up in his room” Jason said
“Which one is his room?” I asked
“There’s no point going, he won’t open the door for you” Michael said
“Why?”
“He thinks you are the one that told the reporters about his Mom” Bryan said
“What?! Why would he ever think that?”
“We got the footage of the TV station that broadcasted the news and you actually went to their last night around the time the reporter got the news” Michael explained
“What? I didn’t meet any reporter, I just followed someone there”
Is this why Isaac went to the TV station? This is Isaac’s doing
“Will you just stop lying! You are so shameless you know, he trusted you and told you about his Mom, now you’ve betrayed him and you still have the guts to come here pretending you care?!!” Naty yelled
“You know nothing Naty, you are just so clueless, can someone just tell me where Aiden’s room is!” I said
“It’s that one” Jason said pointing at a door and I went there
“Aiden” I said as I knocked “Open the door it’s Emily”
“He is not going to answer you so just go away!” Naty said
“Come on Aiden open the door!” I yelled
“Do you really believe I can do such a thing? Do you not trust me Aiden?” I asked as I kept knocking on the door
“Open the door Aiden!! I need to know what you think, do you really believe I did all this”
The door suddenly opened and Aiden came outside
He looks so miserable
“What am I supposed to believe dummy!” He yelled “The footage showed that you went to the TV station last night”
“So you just believed it?” I asked
“Should I not? It’s fucking obvious, you went there” he said
“So you won’t even hear my side of the story?” I asked
“What’s left to hear? Are you going to give me the reasons you betrayed me? Well I don’t want to hear it dummy, I don’t even want to see you so just go away!” He yelled
“Am not going anywhere” I said
“What?” He asked surprised
“You made me promise you that I won’t ever avoid you and I won’t stay away from you” I said
“Just forget that promise, I don’t want to see you!” he said as he walked back into his room and locked the door
“Maybe you should leave Emily, he is not in his right state of mind yet, you know how short-tempered Aiden is, he is just taking out his anger on you, just give him some space and let him calm down first” Bryan said and I nodded
“You are right, I should let him calm down first, I’ll come back tomorrow” I said as I walked out of the apartment
Is this really happening?
How could things suddenly take such a bad turn
I sat down on an empty bench by the walkway as tears dropped from my eyes
“Come on Emily, why are you crying, you aren’t so weak” I said as I quickly cleaned my tears
But it just hurts, it hurts that he doesn’t trust me
I stayed on the bench as time passed by and I just watched
🎙️ Aiden’s POV 🎙️
I laid down on the bed as my head throbbed
I wish everything will just disapear right now
My phone rang again and I saw the caller
Mom
I let it ring without picking it up
She’s the last person I want to speak to right now
There was a knock on my door but I didn’t answer
Why won’t they understand that I want to be left alone
“Aiden, your Mom is here” I heard Bryan say
She’s here?
“Will you open the door you ungrateful child!!” I heard her yell
I sighed as I covered my ears with my pillow
She’s just here to make me feel worse
I feel miserable right now
Why didn’t I get a loving mother like everyone else

“I don’t really blame you, I blame your useless Dad that failed to discipline you” I heard Mom say and I stood up angry
I opened the door and she was standing right in front of me
“Don’t you ever speak of Dad that way again” I warned
“So you finally opened the door just because I called your Dad but I didn’t lie, he was pretty useless just like you are now” she said
“Mom!!!” I yelled
“Don’t call me Mom!” She yelled back “I regret giving birth to you, you said you were going to keep our relationship a secret then you should’ve kept it secret to the end, why did you reveal it now!”
“Why? Are you hurt by the insults? I don’t really care you know cause you deserve every bit of insults that they are lashing out” I said
“I dont deserve those insults Aiden, I was young, I was in my youth so am allowed to enjoy life as much as I want and no one of you have the right to judge me. I actually wish I didn’t marry your Dad, then I wouldn’t have given birth to such a rude child!” Mom said
“But in the in end you killed him, you killed the only person that ever loved me, you killed my Dad!”
“Stop uttering nonsense Aiden, I didn’t killed your Dad, he died so of an asthma attack” she replied
“But you could’ve saved him, you could’ve saved him but you didn’t, you were more concerned about your other men!”
“There’s no point arguing with you Aiden, just take care of these news, I don’t want my daughter hearing bad rumors about me” she said and I was surprised
“You have a daughter?” I asked
“Yes, she’s 4years now and you know how smart kids are this days, I don’t want her hearing all this stuffs about me” she replied
“You had a daughter for someone else?” I asked still not believing it
“Why are you surprised? Am not obligated to tell you everything that’s going on in my life, so be fast and take care of this, unlike you my daughter is precious to me” she said and she walked out of the house
I walked towards the table, took the car key and I walked out of the house
“Aiden where are you going!!” I heard Bryan yell but I didn’t stop
I entered the car and drove out of the school in a high speed
🎙️ Emily’s POV 🎙️
The sky was getting dark and it seemed it’s going to rain
I stood up and started walking towards the dorm
It soon started pouring heavily and I ran inside the dorm
My phone ranged and it was Jason
🗨️ Is Aiden with you?” He asked immediately I picked it up
“Why would he be with me, is he not at home?”
🗨️ “His mother came visiting, they had an argument and he drove out in anger, we’ve been looking for him but we can’t find him and it’s raining so hard, am just scared something might happen to him” Jason said
“What! Where could he be? It’s not safe to drive in the road now, what of he gets into an accident?”
🗨️ “Am sure he’ll be fine, we are currently looking for him” Jason said
“I’ll look for him too” I said
🗨️ “No don’t go anywhere Emily, it’s dark and the rain is pouring really hard, it might be dangerous”
“I don’t care Jason, am going to look for him too” I said as I ended the call
I ran out of the dorm and took a cab out of the school
🎙️ Aiden’s POV 🎙️
I parked by the roadside and rolled up the car windows
I watched as everyone ran seeking for shelter from the rain
At first I thought Mom isn’t just capable of loving someone that’s why she didn’t love me
But she have a daughter and she loves her so much
If she can love her daughter now, why didn’t she love me then!
Why did she always leave me craving for a mother’s love!
What did I ever do to her that made her not to love me
Even before Dad died, she was out of the house most of the time
I week could pass by and I won’t see her at all and whenever she comes back it’s always argument after arguments with Dad
I still remember my last birthday while Dad was alive
She was at home but she didn’t even remember it’s her son’s birthday
If she knew she was gonna behave this way then why did she marry my Dad in the first place
I sighed as I took my phone, I have a lot of missed call
My phone beeped and a message came in from Jason
💬 Where the hell are you, you rude punk, everyone is damn worried and we are all out looking for you, even Emily is out in the rain looking for you too 💬
Why will the dummy look for me now, it’s raining so hard what if something happens to her
I quickly dialled her number but it wasn’t going through
How can she be so stupid, she doesn’t even know anywhere in New York, how will she find me
I started my car and I drove away
I’ll check around the motel and the restaurant first, those are the places I think she knows
I drove to the motel but I couldn’t find her so I drove to the restaurant, she wasn’t there too
“Where the hell are you dummy!”
I drove out of the restaurant and I saw her, looking and walking around in a Park opposite the restaurant
She’s even in the rain without an umbrella what if she gets sick
I came down from the car and I ran to where she is
She saw me coming and she quickly ran to meet me
“Aiden, where were you I was so worried” she said
“You should worry about yourself first, what the hell were you thinking coming out into the rain like this!” I yelled
“I was looking for you” she said
“You are really a dummy, how would you have found me, you don’t even know anywhere in New York!”
“I still couldn’t sit down and not do anything!” She said
“So you came out here alone? What if something had happened, what if you get sick”
“I told you I don’t get cold easily so am fine” she replied
“But am not fine!!” I yelled “Why do you always have to make me worry about you, do you know how scared I was!”
“Why are you yelling at me now! Just this morning you were so angry with and you didn’t want to see me so why are you getting worried now!!”
“Because I like you!!” I yelled
“What?”
“I like you dummy, so don’t do anything stupid from now on and don’t get me worried unnecessarily. Get in the car, you might catch a cold if you keep staying under the rain” I said as I walked towards the car and she followed me
