Part 56 – Getting There

I hope that Alex will be fine. I can tell that his parents really broke his heart. But how can Rita and Joseph be so cruel? And how can Joseph’s brother just support Joseph like he’s a good man? Joshua is not a real brother. A real brother is someone like Keith. Keith knows how to make Alex happy and when Alex is wrong, he tells him. When Alex shouts at me, Keith tells him to apologize. Keith is a definition of a real brother, not Joshua.

Alex: Babe, I want to take a shower. Please allow me to use your bathroom

Me: Sure

Alex: What were you looking for in your room?

Me: Austin’s photo

Alex: Who’s Austin?

Me: Adam’s son

Alex: Oh, are you talking about that photo? You badly wanted me to check it out

Me: Yes, that one. Have you seen it?

Alex: Was it in your wallet?

Me: Yes, it was

Alex: I threw it away. You just couldn’t stop talking about Adam and I really don’t like him

I swear to God, I was boiling. How can he open my wallet, take out the photo that does not belong to him and throw it away? Why is Alex the way he is?

He just told me bad news and he’s not okay that’s why I’ll let this go.

Alex: Babe, what are you thinking about?

Me: (Fake Smile) Nothing. Let’s go in,side

Alex: (Smile) Okay. Let’s go

We went to my room.

I gave him all the things he’ll need in the bathroom.

Me: Go take a shower

Alex: Don’t you want to join me?

Me: Hey, my sister will wake up soon. You know how she is

Alex: (Smiles) Okay. I love you

Me: I love you too, babe

Alex: Are you sure that you don’t want to join me? I really want to take a shower with you

Me: (Giggles) Next time, babe

Alex: When is next time?

Me: Tomorrow

Alex: Promise?

Me: I promise

He k-ssed me. He was getting naughty so I broke off the k-ss.

Alex: I am really turned on

Me: (Giggles) Alex, just go

Alex: (Winks) Okay

He went to the bathroom.

When I turned around, Waro was awake. Oh my goodness, when did she wake up? Did she see Alex? Did she see us k-ssing? Did she hear our conversation?

Me: Uhh… You… When did you wake up?

Warona: A while ago

Me: What did you hear?

Warona: Everything

Me: What did you see?

Warona: Everything

Me: Uhh… Uhm… And?

Warona: And what?

Me: Okay, please listen to me. Alex is my boyfriend and he’s going to marry me one day. He’ll be my husband and we will have children

Warona: Okay

Me: Just okay?

Warona: Where’s mother Nina?

Me: The kitchen

Warona: Okay. I am going to the kitchen

Me: Please listen to me. Alex can’t be my brother. I know that he’s older than me but he’s going to be my husband. We are going to be husband and wife just like our father and mother. They were married and we were their children

Warona: (Smiles) Oh. So it is like that?

Thank God, I can see some smile. This means that she’s finally getting it.

Me: Yes, it is

Warona: But isn’t brother Alex older than you?

Me: He is but our father was also older than our mother

Warona: (Smiles) Really?

Me: Yes, honey

Warona: Oh. So when are you getting married?

Me: Married?

Warona: Yes

Me: Uhh… Soon

Warona: (Smiles) Okay

Me: Are you happy for me?

Warona: (Smiles) Very happy

Me: Are you sure?

Warona: Yes

Me: Thank you

Warona: I need to use the bathroom, sister. Where should I go?

Me: Go to aunt Nina’s bathroom or Michaela’s bathroom

Warona: Okay. I am also hungry

Me: Go to the kitchen after using the bathroom. Aunt Nina is waiting for you there

Warona: Okay. Bye bye

She ran out of the room.

She loves Alex that’s why it was easy for her to just accept him as my boyfriend.

[The Next Day]

I took Warona and Kate to the mall. Michaela was attending her counselling sessions.

I bought the girls everything they wanted, including dolls. Warona always wanted a very big doll so today she got to pick one.

At this other restaurant, I saw Adam and Austin. This is the perfect time to get a picture of Austin. I mean that monkey called Alex threw away the photo that I had.

I walked over to Adam and his son with the girls.

Me: Afternoon, Adam and Austin

Adam: Hey Wame

Austin: Hey sister Wame

Me: May I please join you?

Adam: Sure

Me: Girls, let’s sit down

Warona: Who are they?

Me: Mr Jones and his son, Austin

Warona: Okay. Kate, let’s sit down

Kate: Okay

We all sat down.

Austin: Sister Wame, who are you with?

Me: Warona and Kate

Austin: Which one is Warona and which one is Kate?

Kate: I am Kate

Warona: And I am Warona

Austin: (Smiles) Nice to meet you. How old are you, Kate?

Kate: I am five years old, and what about you?

Austin: I am eight years old. Warona, how old are you?

Warona: Ten years old

Austin: Wow, you are so small for a ten year old

Warona: (Laughs) I am not ten years old. I am four years old

Austin: (Smiles) Okay

Warona: (Whispers) Sister, Austin looks like Alicia

Why does she always see this things? This child though.

Me: (Whispers) Don’t ever say that again. Don’t even say that to anyone or else I’ll die

Warona: (Whispers) Sorry, sister. I’ll keep it to myself

Austin: What are the two of you whispering about?

Me: (Smiles) Warona was just asking me to invite you to the movies. We are going to the movies after eating

Warona: Sister, I didn’t sa…

Me: Oh my goodness. Girls, did you see the time? I think we should order something to eat so that we can go to the movies

Kate: Okay, sister Wame

Warona: Sister, please order anything for me

Me: (Smiles) Okay

Austin: Father, please let me go with them to the movies

Adam: No Austin, I am tired. We should go back home

Austin: Father, please

Me: Adam, I don’t mind driving Austin back home after the movies. He’s just a child. Let him spend the day with the girls. You can see that they all get along

Adam: Are you sure that you’ll bring him home?

Me: Yes. I know where you live so relax

Adam: Okay then. Thank you

Me: (Smiles) You are welcome

Adam: Austin, you can stay here. Wame will bring you back home

Austin: Thank you, father

Adam: Wame, I haven’t ordered anything and I am not hungry so I will give you money to get Austin anything he wants

Me: No need. I will pay the bills. Don’t worry

Adam: Are you sure?

Me: Yes, I am

Adam: Okay. Thank you

He said his goodbyes and left.

Warona: Austin, where’s your mother?

Good one, Waro.

Austin: I don’t have a mother. I never had a mother

Kate: How?

Austin: Uhh… My father told me that she’s in heaven

Warona: My parents are also in heaven. Even Kate’s parents are in heaven

Austin: Really?

Warona: Yes

Austin: Have you seen them before?

Warona: I have seen them. My father looks exactly like sister Wame and you look exactly like Al…

Me: Okay children, let’s order something to eat

Austin: Okay sister Wame

We ordered our meals, ate and went to the movies.

[Few Hours Later]

We arrived at the orphanage. I took Austin with us. I’ll take him back to his fake father once I am done with what I want to do.

I told Warona and Kate to go show Michaela what I’ve bought for them and then took Austin with me to aunt Nina’s room.

Me: Austin, this is aunt Nina. Say hi to her

Austin: Hey aunt, my name is Austin Jones

Nina: (Smiles) How are you, son?

Austin: I am fine thanks and you?

Nina: I am also okay my dear

Me: Aunt, take a look at him. He’s handsome, right?

Nina: Sure

Me: Austin, now that you met my aunt, you can go to Michaela’s room. Warona and Kate are there

I called Alicia.

We all have cellphones now. We are living a good life so I don’t mind calling Alicia even when I know that she’s somewhere in the house.

She told me that she’s coming right away. I want to see if she will have a connection with Austin when she comes in. This boy might be Alicia’s brother, Delano.

Part 57 – Enough is Enough

[Alicia]

I was busy in the kitchen when Wame called me to aunt Nina’s room. Wame may be younger than me but she knows how to take care of everyone. I feel like God sent Wame to this place to save everyone. Everything is so much better now that Wame is with us. She’s like our mother, father and sister at the same time. She’s really a good person and I am happy that she forgave me for everything.

I got to aunt Nina’s room and saw a boy who caught my attention. I couldn’t stop staring at him even when I was talking to Wame.

Me: Hey Wame, do you need something?

Wame: Please look at me

Me: Who is he?

Wame: Alicia, please look at me

Me: Aunt Nina, you forgave me for everything, right?

Nina: Yes

Me: So who is he?

Nina: Who?

Me: This boy

Nina: Austin

Me: (Smiles) Hey Austin. Uhh… My name is Alicia

Austin: Hey sister Alicia

Me: (Smiles) Sister?

Austin: You are older than me so I can’t just call you by the name

Me: Oh, I understand

Wame: Alicia, please take Austin to Michaela’s room

Me: Is that all?

Wame: Yes, what else do you want?

Me: Uhh… Nothing. Come Austin, let’s go

Austin: Okay. Bye aunt Nina

Nina: (Smiles) Bye dear

Wame: Austin, I’ll take you home in thirty minutes, okay?

Austin: Okay, sister

I left with Austin.

On our way to Michaela’s room, he talked about my birthmark. Well, my birthmark is where everyone can see it – My forearm.

Austin: Sister Alicia, your birthmark is beautiful

Me: Do you think so?

Austin: (Smiles) Yes, I have a similar one

Me: Really? But where?

Austin: On my back

Me: (Smiles) You are kidding, right?

Austin: No, I am not. Do you want me to show you?

Me: Okay, you can show me

He showed me his birthmark and it is really similar to mine. This is weird.

Me: (Smiles) Wow. This is nice

Austin: Yes. It means that you and I will be good friends

Me: (Laughs) That’s right

Austin: You are so nice just like sister Wame. Are you sisters?

Me: (Smiles) Yes, we are all sisters around here

Austin: Really?

Me: Yes

Austin: Okay

Me: This is Michaela’s room, please go in

Austin: Okay

Me: Bye dear. I am glad that I met you

Austin: Me too

Me: Go in

Austin: Sure

He went in.

He just reminded of my brother. The nicest thing is that he likes me. This is a great feeling. Children around here do not like me at all especially Warona and Kate. I guess they still believe that I am a monster.

Well, I went back to the kitchen and I found Wame there.

Me: That boy is really nice

Wame: That’s true

Me: We have a similar birthmark

Wame: (Smiles) You are kidding, right?

Me: No, I am not. I saw it. On his back

Wame: It looks like I am getting there

Me: Huh?

Wame: The truth will be revealed very soon

Me: What are you talking about?

Wame: I can’t tell you anything until I am hundred percent sure

Me: Tell me what?

Wame: Let it go, dear

Me: You are so weird

Wame: (Smiles) I know. I’ll see you later. I am taking Austin back to his fake father

Me: Fake?

Wame: (Laughs) Don’t mind me, I am just happy

Me: Wow

Wame: Bye

She left.

What happened to her? She’s acting so weird.

[Three Days Later]

Ayanda reached out to me on Twitter and told me that her father was arrested yesterday. I really did not know what to say so I didn’t reply. I feel sorry for her but if her father really got rich by doing what Joseph used to do then he should pay for his sins.

Marsha, Thabang and Keith are not even planning to contact me. They know that I’d worry about Ayanda and ask them to get her father released.

How do I even tell Ayanda that I am the reason why her father got arrested? I feel so bad, I really do.

I went to see Rita in that horrible place. She was not coping at all. I love it when she’s suffering.

After what Alex told me, I really hate the Samuels with passion. I can’t stand them. I wish to just spit on their faces.

Rita: Hey dear. Thanks for everything you did for us. You are the best

Me: I hate you. Enough is enough

Rita: What’s wrong, dear?

Me: Just shut up, Rita

Rita: What’s wrong? Do you know that tomorrow the court is giving a verdict?

Me: Really?

Rita: Yes

Me: I am very sure that you will rot in prison

Rita: What happened to you?

Me: You always knew me. You always wanted to destroy my mother’s family all because of what my evil grandparents told you to do. You are very evil. You are Alex’s mother but you really hurt him. You don’t deserve to be a mother. You are the reason why your own daughter committed suicide. You don’t deserve to live. You are a monster. You’d do anything for money. You are disgusting

Tears streamed down her face.

Rita: That’s not true

Me: So why are you crying?

Rita: Because you are hurting me

Me: Do you even get hurt? I don’t think so

Rita: Wame, please stop it

Me: Get used to this place because you will rot here

Rita: Are you turning against me?

Me: I was never on your side. I’ve always hated you and fooled you. You will regret everything you did to me, to Warona, to Keith, to Alex, and everyone else. I will make sure of that

Rita: You betrayed me, why?

Me: Because you are a fool. I enjoyed betraying you. I am good at it, right? (Laughs) oh Rita, you are so foolish. You and your husband are the same. Do you even know that I slept with your husband all because of you? He really enjoyed it

Rita: (Yells) WAME!!!

Me: (Laughs) Shut up, you fool. Oh, I am leaving. I will pray for your death

I got up and left.

She was very angry. She couldn’t stop swearing at me.
