Chapter eleven

Running very fast under the raging storm, I used my sceptre to blast the unknown creatures chasing me. They were like moles, crazy flesh eating moles. I ran into a cave, the light from my sceptre laminating my way, how do you outrun things that are like rivers. They surrounded me.
‘A little help here Goldelia,’
‘They are like moles, what do moles hate?’ I blasted the ones trying to jump on me, one touch and I would become one of them, the white blast doesn’t even kill them.
‘Light,’ I gasped. I jumped out of the circle they had closed me in and landed close to a wall. ‘Glow!!!’ I pointed the sceptre at them, the sceptre glowed very brightly. They screeched and hissed moving back. ‘Luminate glow!!!’ The sceptre glowed brighter and brighter and brighter. They ran away, I sighed and sat on the ground.
‘You should move,’ Gold said calmly. ‘They would be back and after the rain, another creatures would come out and also the ones of the day.’
‘Does every section have their own creatures,’ I said out of breath. ‘I’ve been running nonstop for four days now, no food or water just because every corner I look, I see danger.’
‘That’s why we said you might die here, it’s not easy. There’s also the banshee that lives deep within the cave, once she awakens, she’ll scre-m and your head will explode.’
‘I’m tired, I need to rest, my feet hurts.’ I wiped the sweat off my forehead with my w-t forearm, I was sweating despite the fact that I was soaked with the smelly rain. I’d lost my backpack with food and water and all my needs.
‘I would have given you food bit I cannot use my powers here because I’m powerless,’ she said sadly. ‘I’m sorry,’
‘Okay, can I drink the rain water?’
‘Do you want to turn green and smell for the rest of your life?’ I sighed and stood up. ‘What are you doing?’
‘Using my purification light,’ I walked out of the cave which with my sceptre which was still glowing. I used my left hand to control some of the rain to flow to me, I spun it around in a oval shape and point the sceptre which was in my right hand at it. ‘Purify,’ a beam of silver light zapped out of the glowing orb and entered the water. The green rain slowly turned pure, not that pure but pure enough. ‘Enlarge,’ the water expanded. I used my left hand to separate it, split the water into two. I removed a smaller part and shaped it into a cup before freezing it and putting the water. I point the sceptre at the other part of the water. I zapped the water, turning it to a big plate of pie.
All this time, I made sure the rest rain didn’t touch me.
‘Water pie?’
‘It won’t be as delicious or heavy as a normal one but at least it’s food. Should I make you steak?’
‘I can go years without food, I’m fine. Don’t overuse the sceptre, you’ll need it.’ I nodded and sat down to eat, I had to eat fast before the banshee woke up. After eating, I used my own spell to change my outfit and walked out with an umbrella. I would have done that earlier but I was busy trying not to die.
The sceptre lit my way, I came to a road with five path.
‘Which way?’
‘A beast of pure light is in a world of pure darkness. It came here because it hate noise, disturbance and seeing any other being. Many will try to see it, many will want to disturb it, lot of dark creatures itself as they seek, can be the one to keep. Where do you think the creature of light would be?’
‘You can just tell me the answer,’ I said grumpily.
‘You must help yourself,’ I looked at the first path, it was a little bit dark with weird ghosts flying everywhere. The second was very dark, so dark even my eyes couldn’t see through it but I could feel the intense darkness and hear the heartbeats of evil creatures emanating from it. There was no way I would go there, death straight. The third was very clear and bright, the brightest path I’d seen so far since I came here. The light must be coming from the light being. The rest two paths were dark but none as dark as the second.
‘A creature like that won’t be able to take in too much darkness so it’s bound to go into the lightest path where the road is clear,’ I said smilingly. I walked to the third path but stopped at the boundary. The place was just too clean, too evil free for a world of darkness, in other words, too good to be true. I stepped back. ‘That’s not the way, is it?’
‘Think before you decide my dear,’ she said. ‘A beast of pure light is in a world of pure darkness. It came here because it hate noise, disturbance and seeing any other being. Again dear Mistress Of The Moon, I ask, where do you think the creature of light would be?’
‘In the place least expected, the place none would dare pass….’ I looked at the darkest path and gulped. ‘We’re so doomed.’
‘Courage girl,’ I nodded and walked to the second path.
‘Glow,’ the light increased, I could see in,side a little. ‘It has no ground, how would I walk in?’
‘Perhaps you should stop and think,’ I rolled my eyes. I bent down, picked up a stone and threw it in. The stone turned to ash before it even hit the ground. ‘Acidic ground, wasn’t expecting that.’ She said chucklingly. I tapped my foot on the ground, looking at the sky which I can’t proudly call one.
‘On streams, rocks are placed so people can hop across. Maybe I can….’ I trailed off and point my sceptre. ‘Step by step, pad by pad, above the ground, my path is found….create!’ Light gushed out of my sceptre and struck the ground, unstable white pad formed on the ground like a lily pad.
‘It won’t last, run!’ Gold yelled. I jumped into the first pad, hopping from one to the other as fast as I could. The pad started breaking from the first one to me so I has to hop fast. It was closing in, I saw a tree, a dead one but okay. I jumped into the tree and watched as the pads all disappeared. ‘That was cl….’ My sceptre slipped out of my grasp.
‘Return!’ I yelled before it hit the acidic ground, it disappeared. I sighed with relief though I couldn’t see again.
‘There are some line of trees trailing from here, think you can jump it?’ She asked peering into the darkness with her cat eyes.
‘I can’t see a thing.’
‘I will guide you…’
‘And if I fall?’
‘Then I take us back home and all will be lost,’
‘Better let me die than return a failure.’
‘And Skylar?’
‘I won’t fall,’ I said confidently. ‘Lead the way.’
‘Jump thirty decree angle to your right with hands up and ready to grip anything,’ I jumped, my hands grabbed a branch, I pulled myself up. ‘Good, launch forward with the minimum force of 60 and brace yourself for a painful impact….’ That was how she guided me through the first stage of the forest. I was already exhausted and ready to faint when we reached the bottom of a mountain, the second stage. I had to escape some binding vines, the vines could turn someone or anything into a tree.
Please tell me I’m not climbing,’ I cried.
‘Okay, I won’t tell you.’ She said chucklingly. I whimpered and hit my head with my fist. I heard sounds, rumbling sounds.
‘What’s that?’
‘You have to climb while avoiding the mountain beavers who can turn you to stone and the rock giants. You might also need to protect yourself from the mountain sn….’
‘I thought no one lived here but here I am fighting things I can’t handle!!!’ I yelled angrily. ‘I’ve had enough!!!’ I raised my hand to the sky.
‘Nyx, you might wake the…’
‘He’ll wake up either way….’
‘But not in anger!!!’ She yelled angrily, Gold is the least person to get angry.
‘Gold, when I finish climbing, what else?’
‘You climb down and…’
‘See,’ I sighed. ‘My instinct says to do this and and I’ll follow it.’ I raised my hands again and closed my eyes, the sky thundered loudly and lightning flashed. A lightning storm raged in the sky, I redirected the electricity to the mountain, striking it continuously and causing chaos. A deep roar emanated from beneath the mountain, like under the ground. The wh0le place quaked. I increased the sounds of the thunders and struck the ground. The entire place seized, I stopped the clouds and rest on the mountain.
Everything was quiet, eerily quiet. All of a sudden, the ground burst open, I covered my eyes so dust won’t get in. I could hear wings flap, a really loud sharp one.
I opened my eyes, dust was everywhere. I looked up to the sky, four large diamond wings with sharp golden edges, like poisonous swords. A long tail with thick spikes and heavy metal waved in the air. I gasped, I covered my mouth and smiled at the beauty flying angrily in the sky. It body was like diamond glass with beautiful large diamond wings that reflected the galaxy.
‘Better know what you’re doing,’ Gold said in fear. I sighed and raised my right hand.
‘Appear,’ my sceptre appeared. ‘Glow,’ I pointed it to the sky. ‘Glow!!!’ I shouted again, the light glowed brightly, catching it attention. I closed my eyes and sang, it was more of a vocalizing but it was enchanting. I could feel the capacity of it wind flaps heading my way, I was scared as hell because even though I hadn’t seen it face, it looked scary. It landed on the ground, I opened my eyes with quivering body, still singing. It big none iris eyes were staring at me frowningly. I fell on my knees, letting go of my sceptre and bowing face flat.
‘I’m sorry for disturbing you but I came all the way from Alphedia to seek your help, my world is hopeless….’
‘I know,’ my cheeks heat up immediately, it was a he and his voice was worth heart skipping. ‘I might have been asleep but I can still see what is going on. You’ll wonder why I haven’t left, I’ll tell you. Just as he was trapped in time before he was released and brought to your realm by the crystal comic, this world is my prison, the home I cannot leave.’
‘So you’re just…’
‘Gold, come out,’ he instructed. ‘And girl, sit up.’ I sat up, he really looked like diamond glass, so dainty yet strong.
‘I cannot come out, my feet can’t touch the….’
‘Step out,’ he repeated calmly. She sighed and jumped out of my pocket. ‘I cannot go with you Nyx, I am stuck here.’
‘There’s always a way, if he can leave his through the comic, then you can too.’
‘You’re smart child but there is no comic….’
‘I wasn’t talking about comic,’ I said sharply. ‘Maybe I can….’
‘The only way is if I get replaced, someone can must switch place with me,’ he looked down at Gold. My eyes watered, she had to stay back. ‘Only temporarily, after I finish my task, I’ll be back.’ I looked into his eyes and smiled.
‘You’re funny, you can just say you want a roommate,’ I said smilingly.
‘It gets lonely in here, if u help you, would you promise to stay here with me forever?’ He asked Gold. She bowed.
‘It would be an honor to stay here with you,’
‘Very well,’ he looked at my sceptre and it appeared in my hands. ‘Coming with you is a waste of time, hold the sceptre up….’ I held it up. ‘When you return home, give the sceptre to the King, he’ll know what to do with it.’
‘Okay,’ he blew his breath into the sceptre, I could feel it new energy, it new powers. Wind surrounded me, the air smelt different.
‘The sceptre would be too powerful for you from now on so it now belongs to Sky but must be kept in the heart of White. Tell the King that what lies in the soul of Alphedia us all he needs to conquer and send the dragon back to it home.’ Was all I heard before I found myself back in Alphedia.
The while place was in chaos, fire everywhere and there with demon birds of all kind.
