We drive into the school and I can’t stop scre-ming because I won today;I drive into the school first. I alighted and just when I was about to go mock him. His girls fans crowd the place so I smirk at him and just walk away but I stopped immediately I heard someone scre-m my name like never before.
“Avelyn”I turn my head to see Jumping Amy; I raise my brows tentatively Wondering why she is so happy on her first day when we are suppose to be enjoying summer break. She pull me to an hug like we didn’t see each other yesterday.
“You are killing me”I manage to say as she squeeze me the more but finally let go. “What’s up with you” I asks
“Don’t tell me you don’t know the hottest gist in town now”she frown.
“What? you know am not into gossips”I shrug and I started walking to the locker and she trail behind me.
“Nate is resuming to our school today”she giggled.
“Nate!”I said more in a surprise tone.
“Yeah she giggled”
Wondering who is Nate? Who the hell don’t know Nate.
He is the youngest recognize Model in the world because of his hot look and very popular because he own a YouTube channel that he showcase his love for art and I heard he love playing football even though I haven’t seen him play one before. But what would a guy like him be doing in our school?.
“He move here recently”Amy replied like she was reading my mind.
“oooh so…..”I asks not knowing what to say.
“Let bring himto our side for the upcoming event party he might even be my date”Amy replied dreaming and I bit my l-ips to stop me from laughing.
“We might be late for Literature class if we keep ranting about Nate”I explained and she frown before we made our way to the first class.
“Good morning student” Mrs.Stevenson greet the wh0le class and we responded.
“Guess you are all excited about this new term because we have something exciting for you this year”She said and the student seems to cheer up by this.
“There is a literary contest coming up and the winner get a scholarsh¡p to ANNING as a representative for the upcoming event that is going to take place in month”they student seems to be cheeered up but I wasn’t happy about it.
My Dad own the company; even though am thinking of applying for it but it useless since I would be attending the party whether I win or not and other students are dying to be there.
“You got this baby”Amy hit me by my arm and I smile.
Everyone knows am the best literature student would it actually make sense if I apply for it since the reward is going to my Dad company?.
“You all have this week to summit your essay; we are choosing ten student for the literary contest,if you have any questions concerning this just see me during my office break”She address us and the student already start murmuring.
“Now let into today business, Nathaniel can you please come In”She address the door and girls were muttering things to each other already.
Am not surprised by his look because have seen his pictures on social media and in addition am a fan of his YouTube channel and I never missed is live Video which simply mean I hold no grudge against him.
“Am Nathaniel but I would prefer been called Nate and I think most of you know me_” “Yes” he was interrupted by the class which made him smile. “Wow he is so popular”Amy dreamy eye were on him which made me laugh.
“Hey you haven’t told me how your date went with Ryan”She frown immediately I said that.
“Like seriously; you are mood spoiler”She scoff.
“Aren’t you going to tell me”I pressurize on it.
“During lunch”She frown and her dreamy eye went back to Nate who is now sitted right at my front.
Literature class was interesting as usual because it what I like best and we are having mathematics right away. I hate maths with passion; a nerd doesn’t mean you would like all subject.
“Can I get your autograph”a girl from our class had walk up to Nate who just pick his pen and scribble something on the girl book and she giggled as she walk away.
“Like seriously?”I Muttered as I hit my pen on the table.
“So are you going to register for the contest”Amy asks.
“Sure, definitely”I replied quick.
“Do you really need the price since it your Dad Company”She asks and I sigh.
“I will just give the reward to you so you can come with me to the event”I replied and she gave me a tight hug immediately.
“You are such a darling”I laugh knowing she only say that when I give up something for her.
“So are you registering today”She asks immediately she pull away.
“No by tomorrow I should be able to gather up my essay”I replied.
“So I can come over”She asks, I was about to say yes before I realize it one of her trick to see Noah.
“Definitely not”She frown immediately I said that and not too long our maths teacher walk in and we couldn’t continue our conversation.
*Bell rings and the student dismissed for lunch*
“We should get a sit before this place get crowded”I said as we walk into the school cafeteria.
I order for a chicken Salad and Amy order the same saying she is not really hungry today.
We carry our food tray and walk to an empty table. For some minutes now Amy had been going through her phone and hadn’t eaten anything from her food so I snatch the phone from her.
“Table manners”She frown.
“Am just trying to get some information about Nate”She said as she finally start eating.
“That just an excuse we both know you are addicted to your phone”I place the phone on the table.
“Am serious do you know Josh is Nate cousin”She said and my face drop.
“Really”I tried to hide my disappointment.
Josh was my date for last year prom until he ditch me right on the day of the prom for Catherine the school bitch. He seems to be a jerk till date and we don’t talk all he does is mock me but he knows his limit since Noah talk some sense into him.
“Hey don’t make that face, he is the jerk for dumping you”Amy say and I think she notice my mood.
“Am not concerned about that; am worried about the fact Nate must have known about the incident. Gosh! it annoying”I replied.
“Comm’n don’t be like that; it obvious those two don’t get along”She said and I turn to look at their table. Nate was sitting on another table while Josh acted like he doesn’t even exist.
“That weird”I turn back.
“Yeah”She replied and pick up her phone back.
“Omg…Nate is doing his try out tomorrow”She gasped as she scroll her phone up.
“So how is that our business”I sip my drink.
“We are definitely going watch him play for the first time”She giggled.
“Why would he need a try out when is Cousin is the Football team leader”I shrugged and she sigh in frustration.
“I told you those two don’t get along at all”She replied.
“We have to watch Tim show tomorrow after school so we can’t make it”I said and she frown.
“We’ve gone to Tim show alot of time and it s-cks can’t we just go and watch Nate play tomorrow”She giggled.
“No, we promise Tim we would be there to cheer him up”I scoff and she just focus on her food without replying me again.
I can’t believe she is ditching Tim for a new Nate that we barely know. Tim is Amy best friend but when we actually become bestie I had to be Tim best friend too and that was our the story went even though Noah wasn’t really enjoying my friendsh¡p with a guy.
Such a pervert! I turn around to steal a glance of Nate again but I caught him staring at me too.
