Skyler’s pov ✏️
They rushed her into the hospital with oxygen mask on her face.. they took her into the theater, I wanted to go in but a nurse told me to wait outside.. for the first time in years, I started praying silently, as tears rushed out of my eyes.. if I had known, I wouldn’t have done what Alex wanted, but I had no option.. she would have done something terrible to Lia, and I couldn’t bear to watch that happen.. this is all my fault!..
“Sky.. sky.. where’s Lia?.. where’s Jane” Ellie asked rushing towards me with Mildred and mom..
I pointed to the theater and she started crying..
“Oh my God.. Lia, please don’t leave me.. please don’t leave your mother again, stay with me.. I beg you” she said amidst tears.. Mom, helped her sit on the chair and started consoling her.. Mildred looked at me and pulled me aside..
“What happened?” She asked with teary eyes..
“I screwed up Mildred.. I f-cked up big time” I said moving my hair backwards..
“What did you do?” She asked as tears started falling from her eyes..
I told her everything, how I walked into my office and saw Alex, how she tried to sed-ce me, and so on..
She stared at me for a second and slapped me hærd on my face..
“How could you Skyler?” She barked with rage..
“I deserve it Mildred, I’m sorry .. I’m so sorry” I said pleadingly..
“I’m disappointed in you Sky.. very disappointed” she wiped the tears from her eyes and stormed off..
Just then uncle Micheal rushed in, followed by Syd, Simon and Nicole.. they were really sad..
We spent hours waiting for the doctors to come out, it was already getting late.. we begged Ellie to go home and rest.. but she wouldn’t listen.. she said she would leave after she sees Amelia..and uncle Micheal was devastated..
It was around 11;25pm, that the doctor walked out of the theater..
Ellie stood up when he came closer to us..
“Doctor how is she?” She asked hastily
“Uhm.. we have good news and bad news” he said looking at our faces .
“Okay.. tell us” I stuttered..
“Who is her husband?”he asked..
“Uhh.. he.. he’s her fiance and i am her mother” she replied..
“Well the good news is that we were able to stabilize her, thankfully there was no internal injuries, but she lost a lot of blood and sadly we couldn’t find a matching blood group in the blood bank, so one of you will have to be a donor.. the nurses will test you so we’ll know which one of you is suitable for the donation” he said and I breathed in relief..
“And the bad news?” Eleanor asked looking intently at the doctor.. he sighed audibly before saying..
“I’m sorry to inform you, but we lost the baby, and she’s in coma, and we don’t when she’ll wake up..” he said, and I felt I didn’t hear right..
“What?” We all asked except Mildred..
“She was a few weeks pregnant, I’m sorry but we couldn’t save the child.. the nurse will take your blood samples for the test” he said and walked away.
I could feel my legs go limp..
Lia was pregnant?.. oh my God.. Lia was pregnant with my baby.. and now she lost it because of me.. our baby is gone because of me!.
Mom hugged me and I cried like a child on her shoulders, Eleanor was also crying and Micheal was trying his best to console her..

*A week later*
The police finally caught the bast**d who hit Lia.. he was arrested and I couldn’t wait for him to confess.. cause I already Knew who was behind it..
I walked downstairs and saw Ellie already set to go to the hospital.. the door opened and a woman in her late thirties Walked in with a young girl of about 12 years old..
Ellie smiled when she saw her, and I couldn’t help but wonder why?..
“Ciara.. it’s so good to see you..” she said and hugged the woman.. I sat on the couch and watched them..
“It’s been long Ellie” Ciara said smiling..
“Yes.. Diana, you look so beautiful and all grown up.. how are you baby?” Ellie asked the little girl..
“I’m fine ma’am” she replied smiling..
“Please do sit down” Eleanor said pointing to the couch..
“Uhm.. Mildred, please tell the maids to bring something for our guests” aunt Ellie said looking at me..
“No.. uhm that won’t be necessary, we have a flight to catch in few minutes” Ciara said
“Oh.. you’re going back to England?” Ellie asked..
“Yes.. I only came for my husband’s funeral.. ” she replied
“I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it Ciara, my daughter is in the hospital, so I couldn’t make it .. Williams was a good friend”
“And a good husband” Ciara chimed in
“Anyways.. before he died, he gave me this video.. said I should give it to you, if something bad happens to him” she said handing a video case to aunt..
“What’s in it?” Aunt asked curiously
“I don’t know Ellie.. why don’t you find out. I’ll be on my way now.. bye” she said and stood up..
“Okay.. uhm I’ll see you at the fashion tour” Ellie said and hugged her..
“Yeah” she replied and walked out with her daughter..
“Mildred please keep it on the table In my room” she said giving me the case
“Aren’t you going to watch it?” I asked
“Not now.. I need to get to the hospital” she said Standing up.
“But it’s not going to take long.. I think it’s really important” I added
After much persuasion she finally agreed..

Micheal called me earlier.. said he wanted to see me and Susan..
I just hope that fool has not confessed.. Even if he does, there’s no evidence whatsoever to back him up.. so I guess it’s for another reason, but what?..
We both walked into the mansion to see, Micheal, Eleanor, Mildred and a few cops..
“What is going on here?” I asked looking at them
“I am detective Stephen of the new York police department.. you’re under arrest.. Mr and Mrs Jonas and Susan Anderson, for attempted murder of miss Jane Anderson and muder of James Robert and Williams Walter, you have the right to a legal attorney, whatever you say or do will be used against you in the court of law. cuff them” he said and two police men walked towards me with cuffs..
They cuffed Susan.. and came for me..
“You have no right to cuff me, I am innocent.. Micheal tell them, how can I hurt your child.. Micheal don’t you trust me.. I have never hurt anyone before” I said looking at him.. he scoffed and asked the detective to wait.. he told Mildred to play the video..which she did.. it was a video of Williams confession.., he asked Mildred to play the audio on her phone and she did.. I couldn’t believe my ears.. Mildred had recorded everything I discussed with Susan.. how could I have been so stupid.. I thought to myself..
“How could you do this Jonas.. what did I ever do to you?” Micheal asked looking at me. Knowing that I was already defeated.. I spoke up..
“You did everything!!. You took everything away from me!! Our Fathers love, his properties and the worst of all Ellie!” I yelled..
“Even though he didn’t like me, I continued working hærd just to make him proud.. he gave you all his love and attention, but I didn’t care.. you took everything and I didn’t care!!.. and Ellie came along, all I wanted was her and nothing more.. I told father about my intention to marry Ellie.. but he instead he married her off to you!!! Just like he always did”. I yelled..
“How was I supposed to know that you were in love with Ellie, you never told me you had feelings for her.. and even when I asked if you are cool with our marriage, you said yes!!.. how is it my fault that you couldn’t man up and fight for your so called Love” Micheal yelled back at me..
“I am only sad that your daughter didn’t die.. and as for you, I am really disappointed in you, all I did was for you, but you sold me out.. I regret ever having you as my child” I spat at Mildred..
“No.. you’re wrong, all you did was for yourself, I mean.. I will be eighteen by next two weeks, I work as a model and my pay is millions of dollars a month.. I haven’t even finished spending the ones I earned last two years.. I’ve got cars, houses, malls and so on what more do I need money for? Huh?.. I’ve never been interested in your properties not to talk of someone else’s.. you deserve everything that is coming to you” she replied and the cops took us out..

Mildred’s pov 🖋️
Christmas was really boring, since everyone was sad.. my dad was sentenced to death, while my mom was 25 years imprisonment.. uncle Micheal pulled some strings, and dad was later given life imprisonment..
Aunt Ellie couldn’t compete for last year’s designers award.. and everybody has been moody since.. urrh I can’t wait for Lia to wake up.. I walked into the hospital and hastily walked into Lia’s ward.. the machine was beeping, a bandage was wrapped around her head and a drip was connected to her hand.. the room was filled with gifts, flowers and cards from friends and fans..
Skyler was sitting beside her as usual, gently car-ssing her hands.. he is really trying, he was the one who donated blood for her, and has been taking care of her since..
He was busy singing a song for Lia, and didn’t notice me walk in..
“Skyler.. what’s up?” I asked as I dropped the brown bag on the table..
“Oh Mildred, I’m good.. I guess” he replied
“I brought food for you..it’s in the bag” I said..
“Thanks I’ll eat later” he replied and continued singing..
“When do you think, she’s gonna wake up?” Sky asked grazing her cheeks..
“Soon.. I hope” I whispered..
He smiled and moved closer to her..
“I’m sorry for everything Lia, please wake up now.. you’ve slept for too long and I really need you.. your mom needs you.. everyone needs you Lia.. wake up” he muttered and k-ssed her lightly on her l-ips..
Aunt Ellie walked in with uncle.. she smiled and pecked Sky..
“How are you?” She asked..
“I’m fine aunt.. how are you” he asked..
“I’m fine baby.. a little tired though” she said and sat on the couch..with her big baby bump..
“Aunt.. I told you to stay at home.. why are you stressing yourself?” I asked looking at her..
“Just wanted to see Lia.. I miss her so much” she said as a tear slid down her cheeks..
“Ellie, you promised you wouldn’t cry and that’s why I let you come with me.. I can still take you back” uncle Michael threatened..
“Lia!..” sky yelled..
And we turned to face him..
“What is it?” I asked..
“She just moved her hands” he said ..
We looked at Lia, but there was no movement.. I was about to glare at Sky when her lashes started shaking..
“Oh my gosh.. doctor!” I yelled and ran out to call the doctor..

Amelia’s pov ✏️..
I opened my eyes and closed it immediately the lights hit my eyes.. I opened slowly and blinked my eyes, and things started falling into place.. I already know I was in the hospital.. the smell of drugs hit my nose and the machine beeped in my ears.. I felt something warm holding my hand.. I looked down and it was Skyler’s hand.. he was smiling tearfully as he stared at me.. mom and dad were both smiling and I couldn’t help but notice her baby bump..
“Lia.. my baby.. thanks for coming back to us” she said k-ssing my cheek as tears fell from her eyes..
“Princess.. how are you feeling?” Dad asked
“A little okay, my Head hurts and my body aches alot” I muttered quietly..
“Okay, the doctor is coming okay.. you’ll be fine” he said smiling..
“What happened?” I asked..
“You had an accident” sky started..
The memories started coming back.. I remember everything.. Skyler is the reason why I’m here..
“I’m so happy you’re awake Lia..” he stopped when I withdrew my hand from his..
“Mom.. please send him out” I said..
“Who?” She asked confused..
“Skyler.. please tell him to leave.. I don’t want to see him” I replied..
“But ..why?” Dad asked..
“I don’t want to see him please.. tell him to leave” I half yelled.. he stood up with teary eyes and walked out..
Mildred came with the doctor.. and after several examinations.. he said I was perfectly stable..
“How long have I been out?” I asked after the doctor walked out
“Four…”
“Four days?” I asked cutting her off..
“No.. four.. four months” mildred replied..
“What!!.” I yelled I looked at my stomach but there was no baby bump..
“What about my baby?” I asked.. I noticed the sad expression on their faces..
“What about my baby?” I asked again trying to sit up, but winced in pain..
Mildred picked the pillow and arranged it under my head..
“I asked a question” I said looking at Mildred..
“I.. I’m sorry Lia, you lost it” she replied..
“What?.. no.. no, you can’t be serious.. you’re pranking me right?.. mom she’s lieing isn’t she?” I asked looking at mom.. hopeing for her to say yes..
“I’m sorry baby.. there was nothing they could do” mom said holding my hand..
I scre-med and passed out..

I woke up and saw Mildred sitting beside me..
“Milly..” I called quietly.. she raised her head and smiled at me..
“Lia thank Goodness you’re awake” she said smiling
“I’m thirsty” I said and she picked the glass cup from the table and filled it up with water from the jug..
I collected it and drank the wh0le content..
“How long have I been out?” I asked
“Three days” she replied..
I sighed and asked her to help me sit up.. she positioned the pillow and I rest my back on the headboard..
“How’s everyone?” I asked..
“They are all good” she replied.. smiling lightly..
“Lia.. I’m sorry for everything, it turns out that my parents were behind everything that happened to you.. I’m so sorry Lia” she said looking into my eyes..
“It’s okay Milly” I said with a smile..
“Uhm Lia.. I know I don’t have the right to meddle with your personal affairs.. but I really think you should talk to Sky.. he has been in the hospital since you passed out, without eating or bathing.. he was the one who donated blood for you and has been taking care of you since.. I know what he did was wrong.. but you really have to hear him out please” she said pleadingly.
I inhaled and nodded
“Send him in” I mumbled..
She smiled and k-ssed my cheek
“Thanks..” she whispered and walked out..
Minutes later the door opened to reveal my ‘fiance’ I couldn’t help but notice how lean he has become.. dark circles were around his eyes.. he hasn’t been sleeping..his face was pale and his hair was rough..
I felt like embracing him to myself and scold him for not eating or sleeping.. but I couldn’t.. the picture of him and Alexa kept coming to me..
He smiled lightly as he walked towards me..
“Hi..” he muttered nervously..
“Hi.. ” I replied..
“How are you feeling?” He asked..
“Fine” I replied simply..
“That’s.. great” he replied..
“I called you here because I wanted to uhm.. thank you for everything you did for me.. I heard you donated blood for me.. I’m really grateful” I started..
“It’s nothing babe.. I would have done more” he said and I glared at him..and he looked down
“Sorry” he muttered..
“As I was. Saying.. I’m really grateful for everything you did.. caring for me, taking me into your home, accepting me as a family.. Even though I was a complete stranger, for loving me and for everything” I said as a tear slid down my cheek. I hastily wiped it off..
“I really enjoyed every moment we spent together.. and I wish the situation was different.. to be honest, I don’t think I can continue with this relationsh¡p” I stopped to catch my breath.. he immediately went on his knees and tears fell from his eyes..
I turned my gaze to the door and continued
“It’s over between us.. I think it would be best if we don’t see each other again” I added.. and he held my hand tenderly..
“Lia, please.. I’m sorry.. you can hit me, punch me, scold me .. do whatever you want, but please don’t break up with me.. please Lia.. you’re my life..
