Eva went to Mrs Power’s room to infrom her about lunch,she knocked twice but no respond,

“Why is the Boss not answering? Could it be she is not in her room or what?
She thought and knocked again but still no respond.

Meanwhile Mrs Power was lost in thought and in tears too staring her family picture and remembering how her perfect family used to be,how happy they were and how they used to do things together like a untied family.

She even remembered Santiago Gilberto her lover too, how their beautiful love story started and the dream of them being together shattered like a broken mirror.

She recalled back everything in tears even how her baby was taking away from her.

“Maybe she is resting in the balcony that’s why she is not hearing me,let me go in,side then”
She thought and went in,side to her greatest surprise she saw her Boss sobbing.

She rushed to her and asked,
“What is it Boss? Why are you crying?

“Hug me Eva that’s what I need right now”
She said to her in tears.

Eva hugged her and calmed her down,
“What is it Boss?

“Is nothing Eva,I just remembered my family”
She said.

“Your family! What happened to them?
She asked.

“They were all taking away from me by the wicked one”
She said in tears.

“Oh my God! Am so sorry Boss”
She said feeling so sorry for her.

“It has been twenty three years now since I lost them all in the cold hands of the wicked one but it’s still fresh to me like it happened yesterday”
She cried.

She hugged her and consoled her,
“Is okay Boss,I understand how painful it’s to loosed your family in a day but the wicked one must surely pay they won’t go free”

She sighted the picture and asked,
“Is that your family Boss?

She showed her the picture and Eva became so astonished when she saw the people on the picture.

“This picture looks familiar,I have seen it before but where did I see this picture?
She thought and wouldn’t recall back when she has saw the picture.

“That must be your grandma!
She said pointing at person.

She narrated everything to her concerning her family,how they used to play their roles,how United they were.

“They were they reason why I stop achieving my dreams of becoming a chef,what’s the reason of becoming a chef and your family who supported you from your tender age are not here to see your dream being achieved it’s pointless to me”

“Eva you know i like you and I will be so happy to see your dream of becoming a chef to come to reality and am willing to help you to achieve that”
She said to her with smiles.

“Thank you so much Boss and please stop being like this It hurts me seeing people in tears and I know that one faithfully day justice will deserve on behalf of your family”
She said with smiles.

She smiled back at her without saying anything,
“Boss prepared Huevos Ranchores for lunch you will like it”

“Okay I will come down shorty to have it,I know it will be very delicious”

She stood up and said,
“For sure Boss, you will like it,excuse me let me go and finish up in the kitchen”

“Okay!

Eva excused herself out from the room to the kitchen,she couldn’t stop thinking about the picture.

“I know I have seen that picture somewhere but where? Why can’t I recall back?
She said trying to recall back.

She keep on thinking about the picture for almost twenty minutes and later remembered where she has saw the picture.

“Yeah! From that man I used to delivered food to”
She shouted.

FLASH BACK
When Eva was still doing food home delivery she used to deliver food to Martin Becky boyfriend and Becky was Santiago’s friend whose mission was to trap Santiago into marry her and render him homeless but they plan never worked out rather she dead on the process.

One calm evening Eva went to deliver food to Martin Becky boyfriend and remember Becky was Santiago Gilberto’s friend whose mission was to trap him into marriage and gain access to all his wealth then render how homeless but all those plans went in vain because Becky dead long the line.

Martin stared at Reina(Mrs Power)family picture with so much anger like an angry bird,
“You ruined my plan and ended my Becky’s life,killing your entire family has not pleaded my heart,I will make sure that I find you no matter where you are or hiding even if it’s under the planet I must find you and revenge on the death of my Becky,I will make sure that you will not escape from me again,I must give Becky the justice she deserve with the last drop of mine,I will not rest until I end your miserable life”
He shouted angrily pointing at Reina.

“You must surely pay…….
A knocked came from outside interrupted his statement.

“Yes who is there?
He shouted.

“Is Eva the food delivery girl”
She said.

“Hold on am coming”
He dropped the picture on the couch and went to get the door.

“Good afternoon Sir!
She greeted with smiles.

“Did you get me my order?
He asked without any smile on his face.

“Yes Sir,I brought you tacos”
She gave him the package.

“Come in,side,let me get your money”

“Okay Sir”
She went in,side and Martin went in to get the money.

Eva stared around everywhere and all of a sudden her eyes sighted the picture,
“That should be his family’s picture,let me she how he looks”
She thought.

She walked to the couch and picked the picture,
“The grumbling man is not even on the picture”
She said.

She was still looking at the picture and Martin walked in and shouted at her,
“What are you holding? Who told you to touch that?
He shouted angrily and collected it with force.

“Is that how you used to do? coming to people’s house and be touching things”
He shouted angrily.

“Am sorry Sir!
She apologized.

“Sorry for your stupidity,whenever you are in my house mind your position, stand where you are and don’t shift one more thing respect people’s things”
He shouted still angry.

“Sorry Sir,I won’t touch anything of yours again”
She apologized again.

“Take your money”
He shouted and sighed too.

Eva collected her money and walked out without turning back.

“Why did he react that way? Is it not picture? An ordinary picture”
She said.

“What’s so special about the picture that got him so upset like that? I wonder”

“There must be something so important about that picture because there’s no how someone will be so upset all because of a picture”
She said.

“In fact i will not do home delivery for him again,I didn’t even like him,he looks like a bad guy to me,he smokes he got tattoos all over his body”
She shouted and got a cab.

FLASH BACK END
“Could it be what am thinking? that man has hands in the death of the Boss’s family”

“Maybe he is the one that wiped out her entire family that’s why he reacted that way over the picture”
She said.

“This is so serious! More than serious but what could have transpired against him and the Boss for going to that length of wiping her entire family”
She said.

She became so restlessness and couldn’t stop thinking the whole thing.

Later in the day,she closed work and the driver dropped her off as usual.

“What is it Eva? What’s wrong? You looks so dull unlike you?
The mother asked at the moment she noticed the ugly look on her face.

“Is nothing mother,am fine”
She said without any smile.

“Are you sure because your face says otherwise?
She asked.

She even touched her neck to feel her temperature to know if she is well.

“Mother am fine,I just had a hectic day at work”

“Okay,go in,side and freshen up then come out for dinner”

“Mother I don’t feel like to have dinner,I need to shower and rest”

“Okay then go in,side and rest”
She said and pecked her on the cheek.

“Something is wrong with her,I have never seen her in that dull mood before,what could be troubling her”
She said.

Few minutes later,Sophia came,
“Good evening Mom”
She greeted with a hug.

“Evening Sophia”

“Mother is Eva back from work?

“Yes,she is in her room,I don’t know what’s wrong with your friend, she looks so troubled and don’t want to open up to me,please help me and talk to her”
She said.

“Okay Mom I will talk to her right away”
She said and went to Eva’s room.

“Bestie what happen?
She asked and lay beside her.

“Sophia I discovered something bad today”

“What did you mean? What did you discovered?
She asked confusingly.

“Sophia did you remembered that grumbling man I used to delivered food to?
She asked.

“What did the grumbling man got to do with you?

“Is not me rather my Boss”

“Your Boss and the grumbling man! What did your Boss got to do with that man?
She asked confusingly.

She narrated everything to her concerning the picture and the death of the Boss’s family.

“Oh my God! This is so serious! A serious matter!
Sophia asked in shocked.

“I became so restlessness when I discovered this,I can’t get the whole thing out of my head”
She said.

“What are you going to do now bestie?

“I think I have to infrom the Boss about it,I have to let her know the person that murdered her family”

“No bestie! you will not do such thing,if you report him to your Boss don’t you know that you are putting your at risk because that grumbling man must surely find out and your life will be in danger”
She shouted.

“So you want me to sit and fold my hands and allowed that murderer to walk freely around this city?

“Oh yes that’s what you will do beside you don’t have any evidence to prove that he is the one that killed her family so you have to keep it to yourself”
She said making her to see sense in what she is saying.

“Sophia that will be very difficult to do knowing fully well the person that killed your Boss’s family and you can’t do anything”
She sounded.

“You got no other choice but to keep quite because of your life and hope that one day that killer will be expose and throw to bar”
She said.

She breathed and said,
“That will be so difficult but I have to try and pretend”

“You have to try bestie”
She said and hugged her.

“I will be going now and please cheer up your mother is troubled knowing that you are not happy”

“Okay Bestie,Good night,see you tomorrwo”
She hugged her and Sophia made her way out.

It has been two weeks now and Eva has been feeding Mrs Maria so well through her usual way of going in by druging the bodyguard.

The bodyguard later noticed the strange thing around Mrs Maria how she stops complaining about food and crying all the time,he decided to infrom the Boss about it.

“Boss I need to tell you something”
He said.

“What is it?

“I noticed something about Mrs Maria Gilberto”
He said.

“What did you notice?

“Boss I noticed that she no longer cry nor complain about food it seems someone is seeing her”

“Someone seeing her! Who could that be?
She asked confusingly.

“Boss my intense tells me is Eva”

“Eva! How sure are you? How possible could that be when you are the one in charge of her? or you have not been taking your position seriously?
She asked.

“No Boss I have been so serious with my job,I never leave that position for one day but I think that Eva noticed something and am very sure she is the one taking care of her”
He said.

“Get me Eva let me talk to her”

“Okay Boss”
He said and used the door.

Few minutes later,Eva came to see her,
“You send for me Boss”
She said with smiles.

“Yes,I did,Eva I want to ask you something and I need an honest answer from you”

“Okay Boss!
She said and thought what the question meant be.

“It has been a month you started working for me have you by any chance notice something strange in this house?

“Something strange like what Boss?
She asked knowing fully well where her question is pointing to.

“Have you notice any strange cry,I mean a woman’s voice?
She asked.

“Where? In this house? No Boss,are we being haunt by a spirit Boss?
She asked with the pretence of being scared.

“No Eva”
She became so convinced within her that she didn’t know anything.

“Okay Boss”

“Is the lunch ready?

“It will be ready within twenty minutes from now”

“Okay”

“I may take my leave now Boss”
She said and just about to leave she called her back.

“Eva!

“Yes Boss”

“My son will be coming back next tomorrow I want all his favourite food to be cook”
She said with smiles.

“Okay Boss”
She replied with smiles and excused herself.

“Wow! the Boss’s son is coming back,I never knew she got a child,she never talk about her son before”
She thought with smiles.

“Thank God the Boss believed me when i told her that I have not noticed any strange thing in this house but I have to be careful I don’t want the Boss to find out by herself that I have been seeing Mrs Maria rather I want to be the one to infrom her and pleaded for her to be released and hopefully she will give me a thinking ear”
She thought with smiles.

Mrs Power asked.

She said with smiles.

She said with smiles and Mrs Power went back to the lounge.

“The Boss seems so excited to meet her son even me am also happy to meet the Boss’s son I hope he will be good and nice like his mother”
She said with smiles and took the jar of juice to the dinning.

Fifteen minutes later,Mrs Power’s arrived,he rushed and hugged his Mom so tight.

“Am so happy to see you Mom”
He said with smiles and pecked her on the cheek.

“Son you don’t know how happy am I to see you,welcome home Son”
She said with smiles and hugged him.

He smiled and said,
“Mom no need of asking you how you are doing because the evidence is all written all over you so fresh and healthy”

She laughed and said,
“All thanks to my special maid for taking good care of me with a her delicacy food”

“Wow! I need to see this your special maid”
He said with smiles.

“You will meet her right away,Eva! Eva!
She called out.

“Am coming Boss!
She answered from the kitchen.

Within a seconds she came out and became so astonished of whom she saw.

“Boboy!
She called out in shocked.

“Eva!
Boboy called out in shocked too.
