It has been two weeks since Eva stated working for Mrs Power within that weeks things has been moving some well for her and her family and her love for Fred keeps on growing each day like a mushroom meanwhile Mrs Power loves Eva so much that she even like to spend time with her discussing about Eva’s future,Eva reminds her of her young age how she has passion for cooking and dream to be the best and popular chef around the world and also she feels a strong bound between her and Eva,you know what they say water is thicker than blood.

On the other hand Anne jealously and hatred towards Eva became so unbearable for her,seeing the love birds together tires her apart that she keeps on planning on how to end Eva’s life and take back her love Fred.

“Boss am leaving for the day”
Eva said to Mrs Power who is resting at the lounge.

“Okay Eva,tell the driver to drop you off”
She said to her with smiles.

Eva thanked her with smiles,
“Thanks Boss”

“See you tomorrwo Eva!

“See you too Boss”
She said.

She waved at her before using the door,
“She is very good and nice”
Mrs Power uttered with smiles.

The driver drops her at her place,she grabbed her bag,
“Thank you Mr Pabola”
She said to the driver.

“Is nothing”
He said with smiles.

She smiled back at him without uttering any word to him,she came down from the car and just about to leave he called her back.

“Eva!

She turned back and answered him with smiles and also wondering what could be the reason why he called her back.

“I love that your Pasta with Menudo Pork stew,I will like to have it again tomorrwo”
He said with smiles.

Eva laughed and couldn’t it believe that’s the reason why he called her back.

“Mr Pabola you and food”
She laughed.

He laughed and said,
“Eva you know you food is so delicious that one can’t get the taste out of the head”

She smiled and said,
“Thank you you so much Mr Pabola,I will prepare it for you tomorrwo”

He smiled and said,
“Thank you and see you tomorrow then”

“See you too Mr Pabola”
She waved at him and watches him drove out before going in,side the house.

“Welcome dear!
The Mom said at the moment she opened the door.

“Thank you Mom!
She said with a k!$s on her cheek.

“How was work today?
She asked as Eva went in,side and sat down on the couch.

“Work is always good Mom,have you had anything?

“Not at all,I was waiting for you to come back”

“Okay,let me hurry and fix something for us to eat”
She said and stood up.

“You don’t have to bother yourself my child,I have already prepared dinner,I was about to dish it out before your knocked”

“Okay,let me go and dish it then”

She went to the kitchen dished out the food and served it,they ate and Eva went her room to shower and rest for the day.

Done with her bath,dressing up to go to bed and a call came in,
“How are you doing my pretty beautiful Chef Eva?
Fred asked with smiles.

“Am good just missing you so much”
Eva said with smiles.

“Likewise me My angel,am missing you badly too,let’s go out for dinner tomorrwo after your work”
He said.

“Huh! That’s sounds good,I like it”

“Yeah,I know you will love it,let me leave you to rest, I know you had a hectic day but always remember that I love you and you will always be that special person in my heart and this heart of mine will keep on beating for you it will never stop”
He said to her as Eva blushes like a bride.

“I love you so much Fred,I will never stop loving you no matter what you will always be my love”
She said with smiles.

“Thousands of stars in the sky shine bright,but you are the only shining star in my sight,Good night my love”
He said with smiles.

“Loving you is like breathing, How can I stop it See you in dreams world,Good night my love”
She said with smiles.

“See you too in the dream world,k!$ses, k!$ses”
He said and asked her through the phone.

“k!$ses to you too”
She said and k!$sed him through the phone too,Fred hanged up the call.

Eva lay down and started staring at Fred’s pic on her phone with smiles until Mr sleep came and took her away.

“Bestie,I have a feeling that my Boss is hiding something”
Eva said at the moment they got into a cab going to work.

“What did you mean that your Boss is hiding something? I thought you said she is a very good and nice woman?
She asked being so confused of her statement.

“Oh yes she is indeed a nice woman”

“Then where did you get the logic or the idea of saying she is hiding something?
She asked still confused.

“Sophia you know it has been two weeks since I started working for her and I have been hearing strange voice in that house”
She said.

“Strange voice! What did you mean?
She asked being more confused.

“There’s this strange voice of a woman crying and pleading for forgiveness”
She said.

“Are you serious Eva?
She asked confusingly.

“And it seems the woman has been locked up there for so long without food nor water”

“Who could be the woman? What could the reason of your Boss to locked her up?
She asked confusingly.

“That’s what I will find it soon,I really want to know who the woman is and why she is there”

“Bestie becareful and don’t implicate yourself into something that will make you to loose your job”
She said.

“Nothing will happen I will be extremely careful”

“See you after work”
She said to her at the moment the cab stopped at restaurant.

“I will be going out with Fred to have dinner”
She said with smiles.

“Oh I see! two love birds are going to have dinner,don’t forget to gist me about it”
She said with smiles.

“You and gist,I won’t forget”
She said and hugged her.

“Bye,have a nice day and becareful”

“I will,nothing will happen okay”
She said.

She came down from the car and the cab man drove out to drop Eva to her destination.

Eva got to the house,tidy up the place and prepared breakfast for Mrs Power served it and waiting for her to come down.

Few minutes later,She came down to have her breakfast.

“Good Morning Boss!
She greeted with smiles.

“Morning Eva! How was your night?
She asked and sat down at the dinning to have her breakfast.

“My morning was good Boss”
She answered with smiles.

“What’s in for breakfast?
She asked staring at the covered plates.

“I prepared rice with Machaca(Shredded dried beaf) stew the way you use to like it”
She said and uncovered the plates.

“Hmmmmh! it smells so delicious!
She sounded with smiles.

She dished out the food for her with a chill juice and assorted fruits to accompany the food.

Hours later, Mrs Power has gone out with her bodyguards remaining Eva and the bodyguard that is keep on eye on Mrs Maria Gilberto,mother to late Santiago Gilberto Reina’s(Mrs Power)boyfriend in case you guys has forgotten who she is.

“Now that everybody has gone out is the right time for me to find out who is in that room”
She said.

“But how am I going to do that when that bodyguard never leaves the door?
She thought.

She keep on thinking for about twenty minutes until she finally came up with an idea.

“Oh yes! What a brilliant idea! I have been here thinking for an ages and my mind didn’t even recalled back about the apple seed”
She shouted with smiles.

She remembered what she read on the media how apple seed makes someone to fall asleep instantly.

She brought an apple and sliced it,brought out the seed and grind it.

She smiled and said,
“I will add this to his food and once he eat the food,he will fell asleep then i can be able to see the woman”

He dished out the food and add the powdered seed to it making sure that it’s not noticeable to avoid any suspicious thing.

She smiled and took the food to him along with juice.

“Good afternoon Mr Brown”
She greeted with smiles.

“Afternoon Eva!
He replied back with smiles.

“I brought you lunch”
She said and handled the tray of food to him.

“Thank you so much,I always love to eat your delicious food”

“Thank you Mr Brown,I will come back later and take the plates when you are done”
She said.

“Don’t bother, I will bring it to you”

“Okay,enjoy your food”
She said and made her way out.

Mr Brown sat down and started enjoying the food, he didn’t go half of the food before the drug started its work.

He cleaned his eyes to stop the sleep from coming and allow him to finish the food but the seed was so powerful.

“Is like I have to cover this food and sleep for a while then finish it up when I wake up”
He said.

He covered the food and dropped the tray beside him and all of a sudden he dozed off.

“I know by now the seed has started its work,let me go and see”
Eva thought.

She walked slowly to avoid making any sound,when she got there the body guard has slept already her face was written so much joy,she moved closer to the bodyguard and flipped her fingers around his face to be sure that the sleep has gone far.

“I can now know the person that is in that room and the reason of being locked up like a criminal”
She said.

She moved to the door and wanted to open it but discovered that it was locked.

“The key! Where will I get the key?
She thought.

She sighted the key on the bodyguard’ s trouser,she smiles and collected the key slowly from his pocket.

She became so astonished when she opened the door to see an aged woman being locked up there.

“Oh mine God!
She shouted in shocked.

Even Mrs Maria was so shocked to see her too,
“Who are you and why are you here?
She asked confusingly.

She closed the door slowly and moved closer to her,
“Ma am suppose to asked you that question,who are you and why are you being locked up in this room?

“Am thirty! Am hungry! I need good food”
That was the answer she gave her.

“She need good food,could it be that they don’t give her good food or what?
She thought feeling so concerned about her.

“Please my daughter I need food help me out”
She pleaded calling her off from her thought.

She looked at her with so much pity written all over her face,
“Don’t worry Ma I will get you food right away”
She said.

She went out in a hurry and brought the food for her,Mrs Maria started devouring the food like a hungry lion.

Eva mopped at her feeling so pity for her and with her head filled with so much thoughts,
“Look at her,she look so pale and hungry,I doubt they are feeding her,I wonder when last this woman had a good food,What could be her offensive that will warrant the Boss to locked her up like a criminal?
She thoughts.

She was devouring the food and at a point the food choked her,
“Take it easy Ma! Please have water”
She gave her water.

“Thank you so much my daughter”
She gulped down the water.

“Did you still need more?
She asked at the moment she finished the food.

“Yes My daughter,if you won’t mind”

“Okay,I will be right back”
She went out and brought another plate of food for her and within some minutes she finished it up.

She breathed in relief and said,”Thank you so much my daughter,this food really mean a lot to me”
She said with smiles.

“If I may ask Ma when last did you had a meal?
She asked.

“The last day I was brought here”

“Oh mine! That means you have not been eating,for long have you been locked up here?
She asked feeling so pity for her.

“For the past one month now”

“Oh my God! One month and you have not been eating,this is unbelievable!
She shouted.

“My food is Dog food and dog urine is my water,that’s what they always forced me to eat”
She said in tears.

“Oh mine God! Dog’ s food! This is so disgusting! Wickedness in highest level,how can someone be heartless like this? What could be your offensive that warrant this type of torture?
She asked in shocked.

“My child you won’t understand,the torture am receiving right now is the cause of the past and I deserve every bit of the torture”
She said in tears.

She felt more pity and concerned for her and wonder what could actually be the cause of this her torturing.

She wiped her tears with her palms and said,
“Stop crying Ma,I never knew that the Boss will be so heartless like this to treat you like this,no atom of sysmpath in her,I thought she is a good person I never knew I was wrong about her”

“No child! Your Boss is a very good person,what am facing right now is all my fault”
She defended the Boss.

“Even at that,that should not make the Boss to treat you in such an ill manner the worst part of it all giving you a dog food and dog urine too,that’s so irritating! so disgusting to do to your fellow human being”
She shouted with a digusting expression with on her face.

“My child must say am not regretting the way am being treated because I deserve it all but thank you for the food it mean so much to me I really appreciate it”
She said.

“It’s well Ma,from now onwards I will be bringing you food and you will stop eating that disgusting food, you are a human being for crying out loud and not a dog”
She shouted.

“It seems the Boss is back,you need to go now before they catch you here”

She hugged her and said,
“Everything will be fine,I promise you that okay”

“Am so happy to meet you”

Eva parked the plates and make sure there’s nothing suspicious around,she waved at her and used the door.

Few minutes later,the stupid bodyguard waked up,
“When did i slept off? I even left my food”
He asked foolishly, took the tray of the food and started eating.

Eva couldn’t believe everything she heard and her head couldn’t stop thinking the bad condition of Mrs Maria.

After her work she went back home,she phoned Fred and told him that she can’t make it at the dinner due to her tiredness.

“Bestie you did not go out again with Fred for the dinner?
Sophia asked.

“Yeah,I was not able to go again due to what happened today”
She said looking so down.

“What happen?
She asked confusingly.

“I later discovered the strange voice”

“Yeah,Who is the person? Why did they locked the person?
She asked being so anxious to know.

“I was so shocked when this aged woman looking so pale and hungry”
She sounded.

“A woman in there! But why did they locked her up?
She asked surprisingly.

“That’s what I can not answer you Sophia, that woman is suffering so much and being treated awfully, she is being treated like a dog can you believe that they serve her dog food and dog urine as food”
She said and shooked her head.

Sophia tapped her on the shoulder and shouted,
“You don’t know what you are saying,how can someone eat Dog food and it urine?

“Sophia that’s how that woman is being treated,I never thought that my Boss will be so heartless to that extend”

“Is shocking and unbelievable too,what did the woman do to deserve such treatment?

“When I asked her she told me that what is happening to her is all her fault and she deserve the torturing”

“But did she tell you exactly what she did?

“She did not,she also said she is suffering from a cause of the past”

“Huh! that must be a serious something”

“Even at that,the Boss shouldn’t have punish her like that she is suppose to consider her age before taking a such decision,she is old enough to her own mother”
She said.

“So Eva what are you going to do now?

“I will try my possible best to be giving her food and then try to see if I can talk to the Boss and convinced her to bring her out from that room”
She suggested.

“No Eva I didn’t buy that suggestion at all,you don’t have to go to that length of talking to your Boss about her,you don’t have to meddle in her affairs at all to avoid loosing your head so it is better you just stay off”
She said.

“I should stay off and allow that woman to die?
She shouted.

“I didn’t say so,what am after here is your own life, I don’t you to implicate yourself into something end your life”
She said trying to make her see reason of what she is saying.

“See Sophia nothing will happen,I will plan a way to talk to the Boss and hopefully she will consider my reasons and set her free”
She said.

“Please Eva becareful in what you are doing,for your Boss to locked up that woman feed her with Dog food that means she is a very dangerous lady so you have to very careful”
She said.

“Nothing will happen to me okay,I will try my possible best to convince her and hopefully things will turn out well okay”
She said being with so much confidence.

Sophia checked her phone and read the message her Aunty sent to her,
“Bestie I will going now,my Aunty texted me now she is at home”

She hugged her and said,
“Okay Bestie,good night”

She saw her off from the door and shut the door behind her,she went back to her room since her mother has gone to bed already,she wouldn’t stop thinking about Mrs Maria and the suffering she is passing through.
