Anne’s POV continues
Oh no what is this?
why is he hugging me in front of his girlfriend..
Omg I’m dead!
“Jeremy what are you doing?” Sophia’s voice huffed and I quickly broke the hug and turned to her feeling some kind of fright surging through me..
“That’s my way of congratulation, she just did what no one thought of” Jeremy said with a smile
“That’s stupid you know?” She said and Jeremy laughed
“How is that stupid?” He said amidst laughter
“I’m your…”
“Shhh, it isn’t sensible saying that over and over again” Jeremy said and walked to his seat,
“Anne don’t try anything stupid with me or you will live to regret it” Sophia whispered to me and walked out of the room..
I let out a deep sigh and walked to my seat
“I’m sorry for everything that just happened here, we would find a way to resolve it, so you all can go back to your class we would see again next week” the drama instructor said and everyone left the class..
“Anne I hope you aren’t afraid because of that little threat” Jeremy said to me as we both sat down in the class
“I shook my head and smiled a little then looked around to know if I could see Sophia but I never saw her, maybe she had left home already
The day went faster and before I could know, the school bell rang for closure
My heart became filled with anxiety that moment, I kept wondering what would become of me, there is no doubt that I’m in trouble, who knows what Sophia would do to me..
“Do you think Sophia would still think there is nothing going on between us after today?” I asked
“I don’t know actually, maybe she would start having some doubt” David ch¡pped in..
“But you should not have hugged her?” Jane said
“I don’t even know when I did that, I was just so astound and amazed at how great her voice was” Jeremy replied slowly,
“I pray she doesn’t start treating you badly” David said and I exhaled heavily,
“I pray so” I mumbled under my breath before hopping into the car with Jeremy,
“See you tomorrow” I and Jeremy waved at David, Lisa and Jane before zooming off..
“Jeremy what do you intend to do now that Sophia is back” the driver suddenly blurted and we all gazed at him
“Why do you ask?” Jeremy questioned and he shrugged
“I had knew Sophia for a long time.. I don’t think she would give any chance for the both of you..” he said and we all sighed
“We would find a way out of all this” Jeremy muttered
We reached home and I hopped down from the car and began heading to the house without looking or talking to Jeremy, Sophia must not suspect anything..
I walked into the house and found Sophia sitting on the cushion gazing at the TV which was displaying a movie
I muttered a greeting to her and made to walk to my room when she called out my name immediately, I stopped my track and turned to her,
“You called me” I said waiting for anything she wants to say
“You enjoyed that hug right?” She said and I stared at her not knowing whether to reply her, I don’t even know if what she said was a question she wants me to reply..
“Don’t you heard my question?” She said and I nodded and shook my head at the same time,
“Are you dumb?” She said and I felt insulted,
“I enjoyed the hug like every girl would” I replied slowly
“You want something more than that right?” She asked and I arched my brow, I don’t really know where she was heading to by those questions..
“Do you ever think Jeremy would act that scene with you?” She asked and I peered at her like she had two head
“I just want you to know this, nothing in this world would make you and Jeremy…”
“It’s okay, I’ve heard enough, I’ve heard you…I am not going to act it with him ok, stop acting like I’m dragging him with you” I said and she squinted her eyes,
“Don’t play some pranks, it doesn’t fit you” she said and I shrugged
“Whatever..can I leave now” I said and she waved her hand beckoning me to leave her presence,
I walked to my room and slumped on the bed feeling drained, I just don’t like how things are going now, I don’t even know if I can keep this secret any longer, I and Jeremy can’t live in the same roof without Sophia finding out that something is going on between us..
“Anne!!!” Sophia’s voice scre-med and I hastily pulled off my uniform and changed into a casual wear before walking out,
On reaching the sitting room, I found Sophia sitting with Jeremy on a couch, she was lying on his laps..
“You called for me” I said feeling some kind of jealousy running through me,
“I am sorry for those harsh words I used on you” she apologized with a smile
“There is no problem, I’m no longer angry, infact I’ve already forgotten all that” I said softly
“Okay you can leave” she said and I rushed away,
After some hours later, I walked out of my room with the intention of walking around the house because I was really bored, no one to talk to, Jeremy had been with Sophia in his room and they had not even stepped out for a second, I was alone and I felt like crying, I had slept and wake up continuously,
It has been days now and I haven’t seen my stepmom, I am not even troubled about that but what pains me is that after all those sacrifice I can’t still be with Jeremy the way I want,
Why would this Sophia not leave for Christ sake..
I strolled all round the house feeding my eyes with it’s beauty,
I kept walking around until I got to the corner of Jeremy’s room, I don’t even know what brought me there, I just found myself there,
I moved my self to the door post just to eavesdrop their discussion but what I heard left me shaken, I felt my blood freeze, at first I tried not to believe my ear..
Sophia was mo-ning, Jeremy is making love with her, I just couldn’t move any longer, my wh0le body was sweaty..
I stood there for the duration of time I myself could not actually state but what I knew was that I got to reality the very moment someone tapped my shoulder, looking up I found Sophia staring at me with a glare,
“What are you doing here!!” She huffed
I was thoroughly startled, was I standing here all these while?
For how long have I stood here?
“What are you doing here you cheap brat!!” She growled and I shuddered
“I..i..” I couldn’t complete my words when she slapped me, I held my cheek in pains as tears rolled down my cheeks
“What is going on there?” I heard Jeremy’s voice grunted, I could hear his foot step coming closer,
I waited patiently for him to come maybe he would save me,
“Anne I ask again..what are you doing here??” Sophia asked ignoring Jeremy who had reached the door post and was standing beside her
“I..I…was..” another slap from Sophia landed again and that was when I knew that things had actually changed, this isn’t the Sophia I was staying with before, I know that hug with Jeremy had changed her, I’m sure she now hates me..the slap was not and peppery so well that I thought my cheeks was on fire,
With a teary eyes, I looked at Jeremy waiting for him to react but he didn’t do anything, he was just moping like what happened doesn’t concern him..
“Get out of here before I break that head of yours!!” Sophia thundered and I cringed and turned with pains, I was feeling pains on my cheeks but the one in my heart was greater,
In front of Jeremy, I was slapped and he did nothing, he never reacted, it was like he love what happened, I was really hurt, Jeremy must have finally leave  me…
