It has been one week Joe is still in Pearl’s house proving to them how seriously he has changed, Pearl’s mother keep on pressuring and persuading her also giving her reasons why she have to accept Joe’s proposal, Pearl became so fade up of her nagging and decided to settle down with Joe for the sake of her daughter.

Meanwhile Bryan didn’t know what was going on in Pearl’s house he has been trying to reach her but Pearl keep on ignoring his calls and messages.

“Mom Dad Bryan has been calling you,why are you not answering his calls?
Princess asked and gave her the phone.

“I will call him back later”
She said and the phone rang again.

“Mom he is calling again,answer it I want to talk to him”
She said.

“Am busy I will call him back later”
She said.

“Busy Mom! No you are not busy you are only cleaning your nails,Mom are you avoiding Dad Bryan? because I don’t see any reason why you are ignoring his calls?
She asked being so smart.

“Stop asking a silly question,go and watch your cartoon”
She said as Princess went back to her chair.

“Pearl what have decided over Joe’s proposal?
Anne asked took a sip of her wine,they went out for a drink.

“I have decided to move on with my life with Joe”
She answered.

Anne freak out and shouted,
“What? You did what? How could you make such a nasty decision?

“Anne what did you expect me to do? when mother has be on neck nagging and ringing it on my ears like a song for me to marry Joe and for the sake of my daughter I got so frustrated of her nagging and decided to marry Joe”
She said.

“I don’t like this decision at all,I thought you gonna be wise while making a decision like this,what about your love for Bryan? Did you even think about him why making this decision? the heartbreak he will go through finding out you left him to be with your ex”
She asked being so disappointed about her friend’s decision.

“I thought about him but I got no other options,I accepted to marry Joe because of Princess’s sake you know he is Princess’s father and she need to be with her father and regardless what the future meant throw at her in times of marriage she need have a complete family”
She said giving her reasons for her to understand why she made that decision but Anne is not buying any of her reasons.

“Pearl am hundred percent disagreed of this your reasons, what’s makes you think that without getting marry to Joe Princess’s future won’t be bright when it comes to marriage? Joe’s is Princess daughter and that gives him the privilege to be with his daughter and cares for her as a father but getting marry to him is pointless to me so if I were you I will won’t accept that proposal”
She said.

“It’s done already there’s nothing I can do anymore Anne”
Pearl sounded.

“I hope there should be something, what of you Bryan have you explain the situation at hand to him? Did him know that your Ex is back?
She asked.

“I have not tell him yet I don’t even know to tell him the whole thing”
She sounded.

“What did you mean you have not? What are you still waiting for Pearl? Did you want him to hear it from someone’s else probably from Joe or your Mother?
She shouted.

“I will tell him when I have the courage I know it will break his heart and I hope he understands the reason why I have to break up with him”
She said.

“As for me I hope you change your mind”
She sounded and took a sip of her drink.

“I have already made up my mind Anne”
She sounded starring at her glass of juice she have not taken a sip of it.

“What’s going on? I have been trying to reach Pearl on phone but she is not picking, she have not come to check on me like we used to do even Princess I have not heard from her too, what’s even going on? Did I do something bad to her because I don’t know why she is ignoring my calls?
Bryan thoughts and thoughts and couldn’t remember anything he said nor do that will made Pearl not to pick his calls nor even reply his messages.

He gave her a call again and she didn’t pick,
“Not this again!
He shouted angrily and became so frustrated,he threw his phone on the couch.

“Something is not right here,I need to go and see Pearl I don’t understand why she is ignoring my calls”
He shouted and walked out to Pearl’s house.

He ranged the bell and waiting patiently for the door to be open,
“She must tell me my offensive for not answering my calls”
He sounded.

Joe went and get the door,Bryan became so confused of who he saw,he knew that Pearl don’t have any brother and she have not mention any of her cousin relatives before,they gave each other glances from head to toe and broken the silent at the same time.

“Who are you?
They asked.

“Who are you and what are you doing in Pearl’s house?
Bryan shouted.

“Am Pearl’s husband and Princess’s father so who the hell are you?
Joe shouted.

Bryan became so shocked and speechless at the moment,
“No! this can’t be! you can’t be Pearl’s husband, Pearl! Pear! Come out here and explain this to me”
He shouted.

“Mr you are disturbing my peace please turn around and go back to where you are coming from”
Joe shouted.

Meanwhile Princess heard his voice and ran out from her room to see him,
“Dad Bryan!
She rushed and gave him a hug.

“Come back here,who is your Daddy?
Joe dragged her back.

“Princess where Is your Mom? I need to talk to her”
He asked.

“My Mom is not at home”
She answered.

“Then who is this man? Why is he calling your Mom his wife? What’s going on Princess?
He asked confusingly.

“Tell him who am I Baby since he want to hear from you”
Joe said to her.

“He is my father and he will soon be getting marry to my mother”
Princess said and the look on her face you will know that she is not happy with the marriage stuff.

“This is unbelievable! it can’t be true Princess,are you sure of what you are saying?
He sounded being so confused of the whole thing.

“Mr what you heard is nothing but the truth,am back to my family and very soon Pearl will become my wife so turn around and leave you don’t have space in this house anymore”
He shouted and shut the door on him.

“Pearl can’t do this to me,she can’t leave me and go back to her ex no I can’t believe this it meant probably be a prank or something it can’t be true nah,how can she do this to me I thought she loves me then why is she doing this to me? no I can’t jump into conclusion yet I have to see Pearl and hear the truth from her”
He said.

He stared at the door to knock again and decided not to he went back to his apartment thinking about what Princess said to him and refuses to believe it until he has spoken to Pearl,he started calling her but she keep on ignoring his calls.

Princess was watching his favorite cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants and Joe walked downstairs to the sitting room,he went straight to the remote control and changed the channel to CCN.

“Dad! Why did you changed the channel? Am watching that cartoon”
She sounded with a frowning face.

“I want to watch News”
He said and sat down.

“But you have television in your room, why can’t you go to your room and watch it?
Princess sounded still frowning her face.

“I want to stay here and watch it”
Joe sounded.

“Put back my cartoon, go to your room and watch your News”
She shouted angrily and wanted to collect the remote control from him.

Joe started shouting at her,
“You want to collect the remote from me eeeeh! and you are even shouting at me abi so your mother did not teach you any manners at all so she didn’t tell you that you have to respect your elders abi? I will start correcting you from your ill manners when I was your age our parents did not used to allow us to switch on the television talk more of watching anything but children of nowadays don’t have manners at all they now shout and talk back at their elders like their mate”

“I did not shout at you I only told you to go to your room and watch the news besides this house is not yours is my Mom’s own”
She shouted.

“Look at this small girl! you are calling me your father a homeless man abi? the biggest mistake Pearl did on your upbringing is to teach you how to respect your elders,you don’t have manners at all you are a mannerless child,what rubbish? You called me your own father a homeless man from now on I will start teaching you some manners I can’t have a spoilt brat in my house oya go on your knees”
He shouted angrily.

“Why should I go on my knees? I didn’t insult you”
Princess shouted.

“I said you should go on your knees before I will give you a soundless slap now”
He shouted and wanted to slap her,Princess went down on her knees immediately and started crying.

“I hate you,you are a bad man a man like you can never be my father,I will tell my Mom to send you out from this house”
She cried out meanwhile nobody was at home when the whole drama was going on.

“God you have seen it ooo! You said we should train up a child in the way he should but her stupid mother forgot that verse of the bible now look at how this kid is insulting me,I will punish you the way my father used to punish me then”
He shouted and brought a side stool.

“You will be on your knees and carry this side stool on your head for an hour that’s the type of punishment a spoilt child deserve,if I did not start now to correct this your ill manners it will be worst in the future”
He shouted trying to put the side stool on her head.

“I will not carry it,you are a wicked man,I hate you”
She cried out shaking her head.

“I said you should carry this! Don’t allow me to raise my hand on you because if I do it will be worst for you”
He shouted still trying to keep the stool on her head as Princess keep on shaking her head and all of sudden Pearl banged in.

She became so astonished of what she saw,
“What’s going on here? Joe what are you doing to my baby? Did you want to put that stool on her head?
She shouted in shocked.

Princess ran to her immediately,
“Mom this man is not a good person he is a wicked man,he want to punish me for nothing”
She cried out and Pearl carried her.

Pearl became so angrily on hearing that she started shouting at him,
“Why did you want to punish my child? what did she do to you to warrant this type of punishment you are trying to do to her?

“Pearl you need to teach this child some manners she have to learn how to talk to her elders especially me her father could you believe that Princess called me a homeless man”
He shouted.

“He is lying Mom,I don’t call him that,you are a bad man”
Princess shouted.

“You are calling your own father a liar? See what am telling you Pearl you did to teach this spoilt brat manners she lacks them”
He shouted.

“Hold it there Joe! My daughter is not a spoilt brat ,I gave birth to her and brought her up to this stage and I know she is not a liar so let this be the first and last you will shout at her nor even punish her or try to raise your hands on her if this repeat again you will not like what I will do to you Joe am no longer that Pearl you used to know back then just try to shout at my daughter again I swear I will send you to your grave”
She shouted and walked out with Princess.

“She is my child so i have every right to punish her whenever she misbehave,I will not allow to continue spoiling this child until she rotten that’s not the way my own parents trained me nonsense”
He shouted and sat down stomping his feet on the ground.
