” Jealous he goat ” Mike said and the laughter came once again
“Please go and sanitize your body! That dude you just hugged got corona virus ” Frank said and another laughter aroused which took up to 2 mins
“So tell me! What’s the secret of your happiness today ” Frank asked and everybody paused
“Ooh you still remember that? I thought you have forgotten. But did you still remember I told you that you are going to guess? ” I said and Frank laughed
‘ uhm oh let me try. You got promoted in your office? ” Frank said looking at my face to know if he got it right
” No! No!! No!! You failed it ” I said and Frank looked disappointed
“Maybe I should guess” Mike said raising up his right hand
” *Laughs* ok go on ” I said and everyone looked in the direction of Mike thinking he has something good to say
” Ok. Am sure you happy because you bought the ring for the wedding. Because am sure this idiot in the sick bed does not have any plans for that yet ” He said and I laughed hard . That’s really crazy
“Baby please tell me what’s making you happy! I dnt have time for those that refused to marry ” Frank joked and I laughed
“Ok ok ok ok! I will tell you. Oooh *smiles* Honey we are expecting a baby soon ” I shouted in joy and Franks mood changed
His face was mix of confusion and surprise
“We are expecting a baby? ” He asked looking surprised
“Yes! Am pregnant! ” I said with assurance
Frank smiled. Laughed a bit. Paused laughed again and gave me a hug
” I didn’t know my shot entered ” Frank said and it made me laugh hard
” This is my first time of hearing this ” Mike said using his hands to support his jaws
” So you expect me to inform you when shooting my shots? ” Frank asked and Mike laughed
“This calls for celebration “Frank said and everyone nodded in agreement
” Jenny please go get us drinks from the hospital canteen ” Mike said and I left to get some drinks and snacks

Immediately Jenny left to get the drinks Mike brought his chairs close to me. He faced looked seriously and I knew he had something to say
“Guy am surprised at you! ” He said and this got me confused
” How do you mean ” I asked
” You accepted the pregnancy immediately. Do you trust her that much? ” He said and I smiled
” Dude I trust that girl with my life! She is not sure flirt you know.” I concluded
” Ok then if you say so ” Mike pushing his share back to its normal position
“Yes I said so! ” I said with pride
” But guy you are a sharp shooter! You didn’t even wait for you wedding night! ” Mike said and we both laughed
” But dude you have to fasten the marriage plans before her belly is fully shown. Wedding with as pregnant woman is kinda awkward” Mike continued
” Sure bro. I understand your point. I will discuss with the doctor today. I want to be discharged anytime soon

Brian later called me in the middle of the night. I was happy then because Brian was entertaining with his usual jokes. He wanted me to explain more on what I told him earlier. I have already told him that am pregnant so I did nt mind telling the reat of the story
” I really lived a bad Brian ” I said bending my face in shame
” I understand Angela. I still remember the incident the made me leave your house. But that’s not the problem now! What really happened? You said you dnt know who got you pregnant. How possible is that? ” He asked expecting an answer from me
” As I told you I lived a bad live. After you left I slept with many other men! Many of them! So much that I can’t even Identify the person responsible for my pregnancy ” I said as tears started finding their way down my eyes
” Oh that’s ridiculous! I must say! But at least can’t you remember the last guy you had s*x with? ” She asked and my heart skipped

Since the day I left the house, I have been receiving calls from everyone at home except dad. None of them knew where I went to. I wouldn’t dare tell them that will be a suicide mission. The yellings will begin again . No I can’t just risk telling them
Brian have been a good companion. We joked, laughed and played together. As if God was by my side, Brian’s parents travelled and won’t be coming back soon so I have enough time to hide. Yeah hide, that’s what am doing.
Mum was the worst of them all. She just kept calling me. Brian have begged me to pick up the call but I didn’t listen to him. I didn’t just want anything that will disturb me right now . I need time to think and patch up my life
” Pick up that call ” Brian said as he entered the room
” Brian see I have time for the worries that call will bring ” I said not looking happy
” Angela are you human? You mum have been calling for straight 1hr and you still don’t want to pick up her call . Don’t you know she will be worried about you ? Do you think it’s that easy ?” Brian said and his words touched me
Mum must be very worried . I took my phone and picked up the call .
“Angela is that you ? ” Mum asked in a sad tone
“Mum how you doing? I asked in a low tone
“Angela where are you? Why did you run away from us ? Do you have any idea that you are hurting me? ” Mum asked in a low tone
“Mum am sorry I left without informing anyone . Am very fine where I am ” I said almost crying
“Where are you ? ” She asked
” Mum am sorry but I can’t tell you . Just know am perfectly fine here ” I said trying to control my tears
” What is wrong with you Angela? Come back home ! Come back to mummy !” She said and I almost broke down in tears
On a normal I should have obeyed her but hey! My case is just helpless. I just have to stick to anything that will ease my worries
“Ok mum I will come back soon ” I said forcing a smile
” When? ” She asked
“Soon” I repeated
“Soon? Ok if you say so ! I will be waiting ” she said in a low tone
“Dnt worry yourself mum! I will be fine ” I said and mum hung up the call
I dropped the phone and wept bitterly while Brian consoled me

Frank has been discharged from the hospital. I advised against it but he wouldn’t listen. He was bent on leaving the hospital. Though his health was better now but he needed more time to recover fully
My wedding plans were already in progress. Frank was just speeding everything I didn’t just know why. Maybe it’s because of the pregnancy but he should at least wait to I find my sister
It’s been weeks since Angela left and it’s been bothering me. Where and how she left was a mystery! . She was supposed to help me in arranging and fixing some things. I have called her a hundred time but she is just picking
Where did she go or will I say run to?

I called Angela in the middle of the night to talk to her. She can’t just keep staying with me. She needs to go back to her family and fix up things with them. No matter how useless she might have been, they her still her family

” See Angela you can’t just keep staying with me. Your family need you. You are pregnant for goodness sake! You need your mums attention! ” I said and felt the impact of my word in her
” I know Brian . But I need time. I need to fix up myself first before approaching my parents. And that will take time. The worst part is that the guy that impregnated me is no where to be found! ” She said crying
” This case it’s just complicating. I am totally confused I must say. But wait! I need to understand something here. When did the so called gate man run away? ” I asked looking at her
