The student gaze was still on the girl who just walked in. They still can’t believe she would show up looking this beautiful.

“Hey Anna, uhm let’s get a drink” Daniel spoke behind her, he lead her to where the drink is being served and ordered for two cups.

“Tssk! Is that really the freak?” Patricia muttered to herself.

“Freak? She look gorgeous, why didn’t I met her sooner?” Tony said taking a sip from his drink. His eyes remain on Annabelle.

“What are you saying? Are you crazy, how can a normal guy think this freak look hot?” Patricia said.

“Just say you are jealous, Patricia” Tony said with a mocking tone and then stood up to leave her.

“Did I make a wrong date?” Patricia muttered. She return her gaze to Annabelle and Daniel who was busy talking.

Ethan was also staring at them.

“Ethan” Jennifer’s voice woke him up.

“Yes” he answered.

“I’ve been calling you” she said.

“Oh, sorry I snapped out for a moment..”

“Are you guys seeing what I’m seeing?” Selene and Liam came to join them.

“Annabelle is fucking hot with the black dress” Liam said.

“I guess she’ll be having a boyfriend soon” Selene said and they all looked at Annabelle. She was busy chatting with Daniel.

It’s no more Bastian but now Daniel? This is driving him Crazy!

‘What are they talking about?’ he couldn’t help but wonder.

“They look so good together” Selene said.

Ethan’s fist clinched on the table. Those words pissed him off a little.

“Swears, Daniel kinda look cute. I never know he’ll dress so well” Selene said.

Ethan hit his hand in the table. “I’ll be in the restroom” he muttered, then stand up to leave. Jennifer sighed.

“What’s wrong with him?” Selene mumbled.

“Buffalo bills, that book is epic. I read it fir a hundred times” Daniel said.

Annabelle gave him a small smile. She had spot three of Voldemort men and two of her fellow mobsters.

At the restroom Ethan splashed the running water on his face. A light sigh escaped his lips. Should he just swallow his pride and talk to her? The distance is killimg him already. A flash of determination flash in his eyes and he made to leave but then stopped.

He shouldn’t be the one doing this. If Annabelle cares then she should be the one to find a way to talk to him.

He got out from the restroom, he stopped his track when he spot Annabelle standing before him. Silence dragged on between them as they kept on staring at each other. Both not knowing what to say.

“Hey” Annabelle broke the silence between them.

“Hey” Ethan greeted back.

“How have you been?” She asked.

“Great.. I didn’t know you’ll show up” Ethan replied.

“You should know why already”

“Evil things” Ethan replied and they both smiled a little. He took slow steps towards her and stopped when he was close enough. “Came here to see me?” He asked.

Annabelle blinked several times at his question. His closeness was affecting her and she was having that weird feeling creeping in again “Don’t flatter yourself” she said.

“I’ll take that as a yes” he stepped closer. Staring at her with his captivating grey eyes, he whispered in a hoarse voice “you look beautiful tonight Belle”.

Her heart skipped a beat. Hearing those words from him bought a strange sensation. What is this weirdo doing to her?

“Ethan!”A voice called and they both turn to see Jennifer behind.

Annabelle could see the distain on her face as they watch her walked towards them.

“I’ve been looking for you” Jennifer said to Ethan then wrapped her arms around Ethan’s elbow and gave him a smile before Annabelle. “The dance is about to start” she informed.

Ethan return his gaze back to Annabelle. “You coming?”

“I have something to take care of first. I’ll be there in 20 minutes” she said.

Ethan want to ask where will she be but Jennifer cut him off “C’mon Ethan” She said dragging him lightly.

“I’ll see you around then” Ethan said to her before leaving with Jennifer.

Annabelle watch them leave until they were out of sight. Her eyes turn cold instantly.

She bought out a small radio and pressed a button.

“Hello idiots, I just killed one of your men. Wanna play? Let’s meet at the room behind the hall” She spoke lightly before bringing out her small dagger.

A woman went to dump some trash outside the hall. Opening it, her eyes widened with horror as she spot a dead bodies in it. She fainted on her spot.

Annabelle brought out two daggers.

Back in the hall, Liam was uncomfortable as messages kept popping into his phone.

*Are you ignoring me? Have you forgotten I can destroy your whole life before sunrise. Come into the restroom, my V is dripping already*

“Shit” he muttered, sweeping his hair backward. This is driving him crazy. When is this going to stop? He regretted the day he drank alcohol in school.

He could remember how he senselessly remove his trouser before Charlotte and fucked her mercilessly that day. Not once, not twice.. infact he can’t remember how many times they had sex. This bitch is obsessed with him already.

Another message. He took in a sharp breath and head towards the restroom trying to avoid eyes sights.

Ethan have his hand around Jennifer’s waist as they dance slowly to the music.

“Have you seen Annabelle?” Daniel came ask him.

“No, I don’t know where she is” He replied.

“Oh, any idea where she went to?”

“I just said, I don’t know where she is” Ethan glared at him.

“Okay, my bad” Daniel shifted away from him instantly. ‘What I do wrong’ he wondered. His eyes spot Patricia arguing with the guy he came here with.

“What do you mean you want to dance with another girl. We both came in here together” Patricia flared up. She look at the bitch behind Tony who was busy giving her a snubby look.

“I can’t dance with a junior. I only agreed to come here with you because I needed the opportunity to get in here. What’s with the act, it’s not like we are together or something so fuck off” Tony said to her rudely.

Patricia turn speechless and scoffed. She was being turned down? She look back and saw everyone dancing with their various partners. This is so humiliating. Her eyes settled on Daniel.. how come he look handsome and smart this night.

She made to walk towards him but stopped when he went towards Barbara who was sitting alone.

“Hey” Daniel greeted.

Barbara looked up to him. “Hey” she greeted back with a smile. This would be the first time they’ll exchange words. Most time she see Patricia sat hurtful word to him and she sometimes feel bad about it but couldn’t say anything in order not to upset Patricia. Come to think of it. She had been like a fool following Particia around thinking she was her friend but she wasn’t.

“Why are you sitting alone?” Daniel asked like a gentleman.

“My partner left.. pathetic right?” Barbara chuckled lightly.

“Tssk.. Mine too” Daniel said.

“Annabelle?”

“Yeah.. somehow I know she is still around. I knew she won’t stay by my side for long” He replied.

“How come you are close to her even with the aura around her?” She asked.

“Annabelle is actually straight forward with her things. You can only get to know her once you are close with her” he replied.

Barbara smiled and look back to the hall. She spot Patricia taking a peek on Daniel. She knows what that look means.

Standing up, she face Daniel and stretch her hand to him. “Wanna dance with me?” She asked.

“Yeah, sure” Daniel said accepting her hand, they both went to the dancing floor.

Patricia who saw this clinch the drink in her hand tight.

Selene squeeze her way through the crowd to meet Ethan and Jennifer.

“Have you seen Liam?” Selene asked them.

“No, I thought he was with you” Ethan replied.

“He left all of a sudden and I couldn’t find him” Selene said. The music got loud and the students exclaimed. “I’m going to find him” she informed and left.

Ethan checked his wristwatch, it’s been 3 minutes.

“You’re waiting for someone?” Jennifer asked.

“Not really”

“Let’s dance!” Jennifer exclaimed.

The music ‘You should see me in the crown’ by Billie Elish was being played with a very loud beat.

Ethan felt an uncomfortable air around him, something doesn’t feel right. He spot some men in suit heading towards a particular direction. His attention was drawn again by Jennifer and he ignored the men.

Meanwhile at the back of the hall. Some men walked into the large room, it was like a museum having many piece of art covered in transparent glasses. The light was dim so they couldn’t see clearly.

“Spread and find her” the one who seems to be their leader said.

The only thing that could be heard was their light footsteps as the walked around the large room.

“The music being played is my favorite” Annabelle’s voice sounded through the room and the men stood alert. No one knows where the voice is coming from. “Billie Elish is really cool don’t you think, Rhett?” She asked in

The leader named Rhett was a bit surprised she knew his name. This girl is definitely not ordinary.

“Show yourself and I’ll tell you” He replied holding his gun tighter.

“Fine if you say so.. but I hope you know how to dance?” She asked.

Rhett was a bit confused by her question but then the light turn off.

“Fuck!!!” One the men screamed.

Gunshots rented the room as the men began to shoot aimlessly. She is like a shadow of death. Fast and accurate with her move. The loud music in the main hall didn’t let the students hear anything.

Rhett was a bit confused. Who the hell fights in the dark?!! Creepy!!!

Annabelle was chewing on her gum as usual as she played with her daggers.

Selene got to the restroom, someone had told her she saw Liam coming this way.

Getting there she heard some strange sounds.

“Oh f**k me hard”

She frowned, it’s forbidden for students to do this. She made to leave but her mind dragged her back to check who it is.

She reached to open the door and behold her nightmare.

Mrs Charlotte had her legs wide open, moan kept on coming out of her parted lips as a particular figure kept diving himself into her.

“Liam?” Selene didn’t know when a tear fell out her eyes. This is the most shocking scene she had ever come across.

Liam who heard his name pulled out instantly and drag his trouser up.

“Se…Le..ne” He stuttered.

“What’s going on?” Selene managed to utter. She shifted her gaze to Mrs Charlotte who wasn’t bother they got caught. Have they been doing this?

“I.. I.. can explain” Liam’s voice came out shaky.

Selene didn’t even bother waiting, she turn and run away in tears.

“Fuckkk!!!!!!” Liam yelled insanely and punched the wall hard leaving a crack on it. Mrs Charlotte felt a chill run down her spine when he looked at her. He was so scary.

“Happy now?” He asked before storming out of the restroom to find Selene.

Back in the bloody room, Rhett could hardly hear his men again. His flash light was on but yet he still couldn’t find her. Gunshots and scream kept on reaching his ear.

The room suddenly turn silence. He was the last one remaining.

He felt someone jump and land behind him with a soft thud. Voldemort never told him they are going to face someone this dangerous.

“Your men couldn’t dance well, that’s really boring” she said lightly.

Rhett swiftly turn and shoot at her.

After a while, the light turn on, it was bright this time.

Ricky and his other men stood by the door. They watch Annabelle remove his dagger from Rhett jaw as blood pour out like rain.

“What the…” Ricky couldn’t complete his word because of the big mess. Blood, broken glasses and dead bodies.

Annabelle walked towards him and stopped when she was close enough.

“I told you can handle it. Clean up the room folks!” Annabelle said in a command tone.

Ricky held her hand and turn her to face him.

“Don’t touch me” she said hitting his hand away.

“You are getting on my nerves Annabelle” he glared.

“Then move your nerves out of my way” she replied and walked pass him. She head towards the bathroom to change her dress.

Ricky clinched his jaw and ordered the men to clean up fast.

Back in the hall, the students were still dancing but Ethan wasn’t feeling the vibe at all. It’s been 30 minutes and she said 20 minutes.

“Are you looking for someone?” Jennifer asked even though she knew who he was looking for.

“Yeah, Annabelle, I’m a bit worried about her” he replied.

“Why?”

“I’m just worried, got any problem?” He asked getting tired if her constant questions.

“Do you like her?” She asked staring at him. She was a bit scared to head his reply.

“I’m searching for her, I’ll be right back” he avoided the question and made to leave but Jennifer held him back by holding his hand.

Ethan look back and frown seeing the serious look on her face.

“Before you go, I have something to tell you” she said and he waited to hear what she have to say.

“The thing is..” she stopped and looked at him. “I love you.. I’ve been feeling this way for a while now and it’s genuine. You made feel alive whenever I’m around and I…

“Stop” Ethan cut in with his eyes close.

Jennifer immediately knew this is not going well. Maybe she shouldn’t have say anything yet.

“What do mean? We are friends Jennie, can’t we just remain that way?” Ethan felt down by her word.

“I.. I can’t control it.. I know we are friends but can we try this out?” Jennifer asked trying to holding his hand.

“I’m sorry” he said lowly removing her hand. “I don’t feel the same way”

His words felt like a thousand needles piercing through her heart.

They both spot a figure staring at them. She actually heard all of it.

“I’ll see you around” Ethan said to Jennifer and went to meet Annabelle.

Jennifer watch him hold Annabelle’s hand and lead her out of the crowd.

“It hurts” Jennifer muttered having so much tears running down her cheek.
