Two Months with Mr Rude

Chapter Forty-nine
“I’d love to.” Claire finally answered with a smile.
He smiled at her answer.
She must be happy to hear that he asked her out for a date.

Anita sat on a plastic chair in the kitchen and stared at Mike. Should she tell him that his mom is still alive?

Maybe that is a wrong decision to take. She sighed and got up with boldness.
Maybe it’s time his mother won’t run around when she sees him. Anita was still surprised that Mike can’t even recognize her.
Or maybe he was pretending.
No! Thats not it.

How’s she going to break the news? Mike’s mother had called her last night that she should try and tell him that his mother is alive.

“Mike, I have something to tell you.” She started but her hands were trembling.

“What’s it?” He stopped what he was doing to came close to her.
Anita’s heart was beating fast. She somehow love the way he’s close to her. She really wished for Mike to love her back but he isn’t ready for any relationsh¡p.

She forgot what she wanted to say just by staring at his cute face and red plump l-ips.

“What do you want to say? And stop staring at me. I know I’m too handsome.” He chuckled before touching her shoulder that made her flinched.
“Are you alright?” He asked this time with concern.

“Mike, I’m about to say something strange. I mean you will be shock.” Anita replied.

“Just tell me what’s bothering you.” Mike began to get impatient.

“I..I..” Why is it so difficult to say?
Anita took a deep breath and said, ” Your mother. Your mother is alive and she has been around but you couldn’t recognize her. We’ve been talking since weeks now without your knowledge. She’s asking you to forgive her” She finally spilt the words out and felt relieved.

Mike stood like a statue. “My…mom?” He breathed out. It was like a fire on Anita’s face.
Mike held her shoulder tightly before hugging her.
“I wish to see her. Where’s she?” He asked.

“I will take you to her whenever you’re ready.” Anita replied and smiled. Maybe he isn’t angry at his mother.

But who knows what he’s gonna do or say there? And the hug is for what?
Anyways, she feel warm hugging Mike.

“You need to call your cousin’s mother and tell her that her sister is still alive.” Said Anita.

“I was going to do that. I will even call Hunter himself and let him know about this. I’m supposed to be angry about this but I’m suddenly feeling good. But she has explanations to say.” He responded and disengaged from the hug.
“Now! Get back to work.”

“Aissh!! You’re so strict.” Anita frowned.

Chapter Fifty
Hunter was dressed in a navy suit and his hair was styled perfectly.
He walked out of the room to wait for Claire to finish dressing up.

Few minutes later, Claire came out after waving her brother good bye.

“You look gorgeous!” Hunter complemented.

“Thank you. You look stunning too.” Claire replied.

“Oh! You’re the one who look stunning most here. Ladies first.” Hunter opened the car door for her and she entered then closed before he went to the driver’s seat.

“Let’s go have fun!”

Twenty minutes passed before they got to their destination.
The two came down from the car and walked down the field till they got to a garden.

“Wow! This place is so beautiful and full of beautiful flowers!” Claire exclaimed as she touched her the rose flowers beside her.
“How did you get to know this beautiful place?” Claire turned to Hunter with happiness.

He smiled at her. He really made her happy. She must be very very happy. So excited.
He’s lucky to have done that.

“I do take Tracy here to have fun.” He answered.

“Oh….I see.” She nodded.
“I want that hibiscus!” She pouted.

“Of course!” He held her hand and led her to the hibiscus part and plucked out one for her. The pedestrian was decorated with flowers.

Claire sighted a peony and took it.
“Can you put this in my hair?” She asked softly.
Hunter chuckled and stuck the peony on Claire’s hair.

“You look pretty with this in your hair” He complemented and she blushed.

They kept walking, seeing some people having fun with themselves.
They got to a certain place that look like a mini restaurant and took a seat. A waiter came and took their order with two glasses of wine.

Claire could see how Hunter was giving a guy a hærd glare for setting his lusty eyes on Claire.

The waiter finally came with the food and they began to eat.

Hunter would glanced at Claire as she eat.
Claire would bit her lip because she was suddenly feeling shy.

After the meal, Hunter walked Claire to the stream not far from where they sat earlier and they sat at the edge.

The breeze was doing its job so fine.

“Feels good to go out with you.” Hunter placed a k-ss on her forehead.

Claire could only smile and watch the stream sparkling under the bright yellow sun.

“Let’s make today a remarkable one.”

Chapter Fifty- One
“Let’s make today a remarkable one.” She finally answered.

“Of course! I feel relieved that I went out with someone like you. Someone that…….” He didn’t get to complete his sentence when his phone rang. It was Mike calling.

“Hey bro, I thought you’ve disappeared from earth to another planet. It been ages. Long time, no see, no calling.” He turned to Claire and mouthed ‘He’s my cousin’ while Claire gave him a nod in return. Understanding him.

“Hunter, there’s something important right now. Your aunt is back. I just found out yesterday by Anita” Mike replied.

“What?! You mean your mom is back?! How? Everyone thought she’s dead and all that and she’s suddenly alive? Who’s Anita anyway?”

“A close staff of mine. She has been in touch with my mother for some time now.” Answered Mike.

“This is really unbelievable! Have you told my mom? What did she say? And when are you planning to set your eyes on your mother?” Hunter questioned.

“Seriously, you know how much I’ve hated my mom for abandoning me. But I want to hear her out and the reason why she abandoned me. Your mom said, she can’t wait to set her eyes on her sister. She was too happy.”

“Oh! That’s so good of you, Mike. Let’s talk about it when we meet.” Hunter concluded before the line went dead.

“What happened?” Claire asked him as soon as he ended the call with Mike.

“Well, its my cousin who haven’t seen his mother for years.” Hunter explained little things he knew about Mike.

“The guy must have gone through a lot.” She sighed.

“Yeah.”

Few days later,
Mike sat at his well arranged and decorated house. He waited patiently for his mom to arrive.

“Calm down okay? She’s coming.” Hunter assured him.

“I guess he’s eager to see her.” Hunter’s mother who just came back from her trip spoke.

Claire didn’t come with them. She had to stay back to take care of his brother who’s standing and walking on his own. He’s gradually becoming very healthy.
Although, he can’t walk far distance cause he’d get tired quickly.

Surprisingly, their uncle called them. Jonah.
But Claire made sure there isn’t anything to discuss between them. Not now.

As soon as they heard a knock on the door, Mike was the first to stand up and ran to open the door.

He stood still as he watched the woman that has been buying coffee from him in the restaurant.

“Mom!” He almost stuttered and walked close to hug her.

“Son!” The woman whimpered.
