Luna’s POV
“Don’t look at me with such pitiful eyes, do not pity me!” he said as he stood up “You heard your story now do your work and complete the designs, and the design better be good”
He made to walk away but I held his hand
“I am so sorry for all you passed through, I had absolutely no idea, you went through so much and…..”
“Do not pity me!!” He yelled “I do not want to be pitied! I am a ruthless Alpha now, I am no longer that weakling in the past, you shouldn’t pity me, you should fear me!” he yelled again
“I…. I do not fear you” I said “You are not someone that should be feared, you are someone that should be sympathized with and you are not ruthless, you are….. you are broken, damaged”
“I am not damaged” he said “I am strong, stronger than you can ever imagine”
“This is not about being strong, this is about your emotional well-being, you are broken, emotionally”
“I am not broken!” he yelled again “I am very much strong, physically and emotionally, I am not weak, I am never weak, it’s a crime to be weak, one that puts everyone around you in danger”
“It’s not a crime to be weak Jayden, it’s okay to be weak” I said
“My father was weak, he didn’t make himself strong and look how that turned out!”

“Finish your work, am done here” he said and walked into the bathroom

“Today was fun” Bella said and I nodded
“Its been so long we hanged out with Jayden and Landon like that, it kinda reminded me of when we were kids”
“Yeah, the four of us, we’ll always run around the house chasing each other, good old days” Bella said
“What do you think would’ve happened Bella? If Landon’s parents didn’t betrayed Jayden’s parents, how do you think we’ll have grown up to be?” I asked
“Well, for one, Jayden will still be that innocent and lively kid” Bella said and I nodded
“Yeah, all the running, pressure and pain, it changed him slowly, I mean…. our father died and my mate died and I was so broken, we all depended on Jayden and he had to stay strong for us, he witnessed everyone’s death, his Dad, our dad, he saw the vultures feeding on his mom’s decapitated head and he…. he witnessed Owen’s death too, yet he was strong, he had to stay strong for us” I said
“What if we are responsible for the kind of person he is now Brianna? Back then, we were so concerned about our own self and how hurt we were and we failed to see the one person amongst us that was hurt the most, he swallowed his own grief and tried to support us, he was always there for us but we were never there for him” Bella said and I nodded sadly
“That was in the past, we know better now and we will always be there for him from now on and we’ll have teach him, remind him that it’s okay to be happy” I said

“Not just to be happy” someone said and we looked up to see Luna walking down the stairs
“We have to teach him that it’s okay to be weak” Luna said “He has this feeling of duty that he has to be feared for people to respect and obey him, we have to show him that being ruthless isn’t the way”

“He told me” Luna said “He told me everything that happened and I….. I feel so bad for him Brie, he went through so much and I…. I only thought the worst of him, I feel so bad” Luna cried and Bella and I went to hug her
“You are right Brie” Luna sniffed “He transformed to this monster trying to protect the people he loves, now we will have to help him, you saw him this morning, that innocent kid is still in there, buried deep within him, yes but he’s still in there and we have to bring him out, we must bring that innocent kid out, before the Demon Wolf arrives cause the the priestess told me, she told me only Jayden’s light can defeat the darkness that will come with the Demon Wolf, so we need to bring him back to the light, and we need to do it fast”
Luna’s POV
I went back to the room and continued working on the designs, I was almost done
Jayden walked out of the bathroom and was about walking out
“Wait” I said and he stopped
“What is it now? Do you intend to blackmail me with the project again?” he asked
I focused on the laptop as I gave the designs some finishing touches
“And am done!” I exclaimed
“Let me see” he said as he quickly collected the laptop
“What do you think? Will your clients like it? Will the fashion world like it?” I asked
He was quiet for a moment as he went through the designs
“Well” he said “It’s not bad”
“Come on, the designs are great! I know that because I’ve never come up with something so great before, I worked hard for this, the least you can do is praise me a little” I pouted my lips
“What? Stop giving me that face will you?” he said and I smiled
“All you need to say is, good job Luna, you did great and am proud of you, what’s so hard in that?”
“Well it’s not for my to decide how great you did, the clients will come see the designs tomorrow, if they like it, then…..”
“Then you’ll give me what I want?” I asked interrupting him and he sighed
“Yes Luna, I will give you what you want”
“Great! You must keep to your words” I said excited
“Am an Alpha, I never go back on my words” he said and walked out
“Great!” I exclaimed happily
Never knew I could feel so good just for completing a design
Jayden’s POV
I woke up early the next morning
I had to go work out with Landon
“Think you can race to that end faster than I can?” Landon asked and I shrugged
“Who knows”
“Oh do not underestimate me Alpha, the goddess might have granted you strength but I’ve been working hard” Landon said
“Oh enough talks” I said “Let’s start already”
We both got ready to run and we superspeed off at the same time

“Well you are not as pretty as she is” he said and I turned to look at him
“So you will do anything Brie asks you to cause you think she’s pretty?” I asked and he nodded
“Pretty much” he shrugged
“Do you love my sister?” I asked and he hesitated

“Stay away from her Landon, her heart was once broken when she lost the one she loved, I won’t give someone else the chance to make her weak again” I said
“What if I become stronger? If I become strong enough and beat you in a race, will you let me claim her?” he asked
“Bold of you to even suggest that” I said “Fine then, get stronger and beat me to a race, then I will consider this absurd love”
“You just gave me the right motivation Jayden” Landon smiled and I shook my head in disgust
“This is exactly what makes you all weak, love” I said
“Love doesn’t make you weak Jayden, if anything, it makes you stronger and I’ll prove that to you when you when I win you on a race”
“Don’t brag about it, you haven’t won me yet” I said as we walked into the Mansion
“Oh about Audrey, she’s still being held in the cottage, what do you plan on doing with her?” Landon asked
“I’ll go see her now, am sure she must be missing me dearly” I said and we both went to where Audrey was held
“You!!!” she yelled on seeing me
“You never change do you? Even now you still scream on seeing me” I smiled
“I will pay you back for this, I’ll get you back for this!!”
“Do you really think I’ll let you out of here alive, you will be dead soon Audrey, I kept you alive for a purpose and it’s done now, I just came to let you know you’ll be dying soon” I said and made to leave
“He won’t let you kill me, he will save me” she said and I turned back
“And who might that be?”
“The Demon Wolf, he will save me” she said
“Then let him come, I’ll be here waiting for him when he does” I said and walked out with Landon
“Strengthen the security around, place more wolves to guard her” I said and Landon nodded
“Are you really going to kill her? You promised Luna you wouldn’t” he said
“Yes I did promise Luna and I can’t go back on my promise but Audrey has to die and you will help me kill her, can you do that?” I asked and he nodded

We walked back into the Mansion and I went to my room
Luna was already dressed up
“Where have you been? Did you forget we have a client meeting today?” she asked
“We?” I asked
“Well yes, I am your designer and personal assistant and it’s part of my duties to get you to your meetings early, so go take a bath, you reek of sweat” she said and I huffed and walked off
Luna’s POV
Jayden went into the bathroom and minutes later, he was out with just a towel on
“For God sake wear some clothes, you are making me uncomfortable” I said
“Am your Mate, you shouldn’t be uncomfortable seeing me like this” he said and I scoffed
“Stop talking and just dress up” I said as I faced the window, giving him the privacy to get some clothes on
“Are you done?” I asked
“Well I don’t take much time dressing up like you do” he said and I turned to see him in a blue suit
“Oh my, are you looking dashing today” I said
“I always look dashing” he said
“You were supposed to say, thank you Luna, you look pretty too, is that hard for you to say too?”
“It’s not hard for me to say, it’s impossible for me to say” he said and I scoffed
“Mood killer” I muttered
Landon drove us to the company and I walked into the elevator with Jayden
“This meeting is very important to me Luna, the clients we are having, they are very important people in the fashion world, if they like your design, my company’s worth will get double” Jayden said and I nodded
“Since it’s so important to you and your company, I’ll try my best to make sure the meeting goes well” I said
“Oh no you aren’t attending the meeting” he said
“What?”
“I still remember the mess you caused last time in the meeting, am not about to take such a risk in such an important meeting” he said
“That was just a little mistake, I only tripped and the files fell from my hand, it wasn’t deliberate!”
“Either way, you are staying outside the meeting room when I meet with them” he said and I scoffed
“Fine, suit yourself, I do not even want to attend your meeting in the first place” I said and he ignored
The clients soon came and they went into the meeting room with Jayden
I stood outside and paced around

Time passed by but they were still in the meeting room
I went close to the door and tried to evesdrop
I tried hard to hear what was being discussed but I couldn’t hear a thing
The room was soundproofed
The door suddenly opened and I almost fell but Jayden caught me and I quickly regained my balance

“Who’s this?” One of the clients asked
“My wife and personal assistant” Jayden said and I looked at him, surprised
Did he just introduce me as his wife?
“She designed the Lady’s clothing line, I just showed you” Jayden said
“A wife, personal assistant and fashion designer, you’ve got a gem there Mr Ashford, we have to go now but we’ll definitely have to meet again to discuss more on the business deal, and it would be great if your talented wife is there too, to give her opinion” the client said
“Sure Mr Taylor” Jayden said as he shook his hand and they left
Then he turned to face me
“I know, I shouldn’t have eavesdrop, I messed up like you predicted, I was just so curious and I….” he suddenly pulled me into his embrace and patted my back
“Good job Luna, you did great and am proud of you” he said leaving me astonished….
