WEB OF CONFUSION”
SEASON 2–Episode 5

Ebere related her dream to her husband the next morning and he flinched it as a mere dream and urged her to relax.
“Relax your nerves my love. I believe the dream is just a figment.. You’ve been stressed out lately from just giving birth, nursing your sick baby and having to bury another child.. I think all these contributed to your dream.. You’ve been so stressed out..”
Ebere wasn’t convinced
“My king, I believe this is not a mere dream. Onu-agbala himself came to me..”
“Calm down, will you?”
She took a deep breath “okay” she replied.
As soon as the King left her chambers, she quickly sent for Ulumma through a guard.. Ulumma hadn’t been around the village for sometime now, she went with little Lotanna to her mother’s village to see their ailing Grandmother.
“Omalicha, it’s time to take your bath” Asa said, interrupting Ebere’s thoughts. She had been in the Palace since the birth of the children helping her to take care of them and cooking meals for Ebere too.. This is called “Omugwo”
“Nne, am always scared of bathing now.. That’s how you’ll be pressing me hot water.. Odikwa very painful” Ebere said making a face.
Asa laughed “Those are necessities for motherhood. If I don’t press you hot water on your tummy, you will lose your shape by having a bulky tummy and if I don’t press your v—-a, it would remain as wide as ngene river”
“Oh Nne!!”Ebere laughed heartily heading for the raffia bathroom while Asa followed behind.

THE DARK FOREST
“You have to be calm and sensitive.. Very insensitive.. Insensitivity has caused the downfall of many powerful priests. Yes.. You should be calculative and know when to strike.. Your inner ears have to be open spiritually to hear when the gods asks you to speak.. As a priest, you don’t talk when you are not asked to talk.. Do you understand?”Nku asked
“Yes Great one, I understand”Nworie replied
“Good.. I as a Priest do not dwell on just spirituality.. I have great powers yes.. But I trained my fist well.. I am a great warrior! A powerful fighter.. I can drop all my charms and powers and fight physically with my fist”
“Really?”Nworie asked surprised
Nku nodded smiling
“I thought Priests only focus on powers and all that.. I never thought a priest could fight with his fists and not his powers”Nworie said.
“I don’t know why am doing this.. But am moved to teach you how to use your fists against your enemies..”Nku said slowly as he chewed a lone of kolanut
“Am grateful Great one.. I’d love it so much. I’d love to learn. My Father never gave me a chance to rehearse with my mates.. He only put me to his shrine affairs..he said priests are not meant to associate in carnal things”
Nku laughed long and hærd “That is what killed him..”He said while Nworie looked at him confused…

IN THE BUSH
“Dimma please nau.. We’ve been together for over a year now and I’ve not seen or tasted what makes you a woman! I’ve been begging you but all to no avail” Dimkpa said
“But you know it’s not right! We have to get married first before doing anything.” Nkolika protested
“That means you don’t love me.. Biko nne, iga e testi nhie ichoro igo na’afia before igoro ya na (you’ll first test what you want to buy in the market before you buy it na)”
“OK.. I’ll come to your Hut this night”
“Mbanu.. Night is too far my love, how about now?”He said licking his tongue
“Hia! Now? Here? What if someone catches us??”Nkolika asked looking around
“No one will.. Just lose this your br-ast lappa and spread it on the ground.”
“Are you sure no one will catch us?” She asked again
“No one will, trust me”
She shyly loses her wrapper and spread on the ground as she lie down.
Dimkpa licked his l-ips lustfully and opened his wrapper lying on her as her grabs her massive br-asts..
“Chai nne, they’re as soft as ube bekee.. So this is what you’ve been hiding from me.. Anwuolam o”
“Do fast before someone will come”
“Ndoo..”He quickly ins**ted his thing in,side..
Just few metres away, Ajonwa stood smiling
“Inflict the youth with s€×ual lust and immorality, let the wives rebel against their husbands, let the husbands find comfort and pleasure in the arms of other women. Turn the children against their parents.. Let them sin against the earth goddess..THAT IS THE PLAN” she smiled.

Ulumma arrived the Palace with the guard following closely. She was ushered into Ebere’s chambers and she met her mother feeding baby Onochie.
“Nne ndewo o(Mother well done o) You have successfully abandoned I, Lotanna and Nnam” Ulumma said feigning annoyance
“Obughi otu ahu (it is not like that) Your sister needs me more now”Asa said
‘Nne hapu ya (mother leave her) she’s just jealous..Plz allow me enjoy my mother o”Ebere laughed
“I hear you o.. mother let me carry my Nephew biko”Ulumma said
Asa handed over Little Onochie to Ulumma who carried him and was playing with him but she suddenly stopped and pierced into his eyes.. She felt something strange about the baby but didn’t know what it was. She quickly handed over the baby back to Asa.
She then turned to Ebere “You sent for me”she said
Ebere looked at her mother
“Nne could you please excuse us for a moment?”
“Of course..”Asa took baby Onochie and his food outside.
Ebere pierced at her sister
“Ulumma, I think there’s going to be a problem”
“How?”Ulumma asked curiously
“Onu-agbala warned me in my dream..”
“About?”
“baby Onochie”
“I don’t seem to understand”Ulumma asked confused
Ebere looked around to be sure she was out of earshots then she whispered
“I think Ajonwa wasn’t defeated in the last battle and she wants to use my child against me or maybe even the kingdom”
Ulumma looked up sharply
“I sensed it.. The atmosphere has been polluted.. Sister, it is time for us to put on our spiritual garments.. The war this time around ga adi very interesting”
She smiled…

SEASON 2–Episode 6

NDI MMIRI KINGDOM
Ogoli was now the Queen of the Land presiding over issues and giving solutions. Her rule brought Joy and peace to the people hence the rebellion..
One day, Anyanwu who was now her personal adviser came to the Palace to speak to her.
“I greet you Queen Ogoli” Anyanwu said prostrating
“Come off it! I’ve told u not to address me as such..ahahn! We are together in this, we’ve been partners for long while are advisers to Queen Ajonwa and I’ve regarded you as my most trusted friend so because I’ve been conferred with a temporary position, you start calling me Queen.. Please stop it! I don’t like it!!”Ogoli said angrily
“Am sorry Ogoli, please forgive me.. But respect has to be given to whom respect is due”Anyanwu said
Ogoli only nodded
“The People are happy with you.. They are happy with your reign.. It’s quite different from Queen Ajonwa and her late mother. You treat the people are your own and not slaves.. I tell u Ogoli, the people are so happy with you”
Ogoli smiled
“Am only doing what I was asked to do. It’s a temporary reign and I want it to leave an indelible mark in the hearts of the people”
Looking around, Anyanwu whispered “But you know you can make this reign of yours Permanent”
Ogoli looked at him in surprise “How?”
“The people love you..There’s no way they wouldn’t want this reign of yours to continue”
“I still don’t understand.. Do u mean I should chase Ajonwa? Become rebellious? Refuse to give back the throne to her? I don’t understand.. But if that’s what you are thinking, am sorry I can’t do it because I’d be dead even before I start because Ajonwa has great powers.. She’ll kill both me, you and any other one who opposes her reign”Ogoli said in fear
“I know about all these and I wouldn’t have come here if I didn’t have a solution” He paused and looked at Ogoli who listened keenly
“The Question is.. Are u ready to overpower the Queen and rule ndi mmiri forever?”
Ogoli hesitated for a while before she finally spoke up
“Well, who wouldn’t want to be ruler of this great land?”
“So I take your answer as a Yes right?”
“Yes”
“OK.. Now here’s the plan..”He moved over and whispered into the ears of Ogoli.

NDULUE’S COMPOUND
Ndulue had called on a meeting between his wives only.
That evening, they sat in his obi waiting for the commencement of the meeting.
“I have called this meeting today because of two reasons.. One! I am tired and fed up of the constant troubles in this house and I think I might die of it one day.. Two! I want a lasting solution to it..”
He stopped and cleared his throat
“I married Ekemma before I married the both of you and not once did she give me problems.. Not once did any outsider come here to separate fight or settle quarrels in this as compound. I married Omasili years after and she co-habited with Ekemma just fine.. No troubles what so ever..but the very day I brought in Adaugo as a wife, trouble began!”
“Nnanyi are you trying to say am the cause of all these troubles? You know it’s not fair.. How can u blame me for all these troubles?!”Adaugo said almost crying
“Will you keep quiet?! Never in your wh0le miserable life should you ever interrupt me when am talking again, else I’d skin you alive..Ugly fool!!”Ndulue shouted at Adaugo
There was silence for few minutes before Ndulue continued..
“I called this meeting to ask both of you what you’re dragging.. What are you two fighting for? Tell me, I want to know..”Ndulue asked
None could respond.
“Omasili open your wretched mouth and talk.. What are you two always fighting over?”Ndulue scre-med at Omasili.
“Nnanyi.. It is just that, ehm.. Adaugo here is the one always brewing trouble.. Anytime I stay on my own, she will come and start looking for my trouble”Omasili said
“What a senseless excuse! But must you involve my name to your childish talk? Yenyenyen.. Adaugo this.. Adaugo that..”Adaugo hissed
“Adaugo have I not warned you never to talk when you are not asked to?”Ndulue said
“Am sorry”She replied
He stood up..All these while, Ekemma didn’t utter a word.
“I can see that both of you where sent to kill me but not to worry.. Just calm down, I have an antidote for you. You people can fight abi? You will fight and kill yourselves very soon.. Just wait”He said and left.
They kept on heaping blames on each other while Ekemma stood up and began to walk away..
“Mama Nnukwu you won’t say anything? you won’t warn this mad dog to stay away from me?”Adaugo said to Ekemma who turned back
“If you call me one more time, I will invoke agbala to strike u with dumbness!! Just try me..”Ekemma said and walked out..
Three days later, Ndulue came back home with a new wife! Her name is Uju!!

THE PALACE
barely 3weeks after the birth of the twins and the death of one, Little Onochie fell ill again. King Afam and Ebere were running helper skelter to save his life. They invited great medicine men and spent alot to save his life. He became well again after 2 weeks and by then, he was already a month old.
After a week, he became terribly sick again and this routine continued..The king had spent alot on Onochie to get well and he was gradually draining off financially.
Ebere was confused and scared.
“Ulumma I don’t know what to do.. Onochie has been off and on this past month and it had really been draining”She said to her sister who had come visiting one afternoon
“Ebere, you talk like a child.. you talk like you didn’t know this was going to happen? I thought u should be prepared by now..”
“How?”Ebere asked confused
“Your dream.. Onu-agbala’s warning.. My feelings the first time I carried Onochie.. I told u Ajonwa isn’t dead now and am sure she’s using your baby to brew trouble to you and this land. She wants you to lose focus then she strikes.. I’ve lived with her for years and I know this tactic.”Ulumma said
“You are right.”Ebere said thoughtfully
“So what do we do now?”
“We have to visit Nku again..he will guide our parts once more”
“But you know I cant leave the Palace now..”
“Yes I know.. I will go alone but I want you to be spiritually at alert.. For goodness sakes! Ebere you have powers.. Use them! use them to protect yourself and your household till am back with from the dark forest..”
Ebere nodded in affirmative
“I think I have to get going now.. Delay might be dangerous..”Ulumma said standing up
“What about Onochie?”
“He cannot die.. He cannot be killed.. Because, he is the main tool of her operation.. So whatever happens, put your mind at rest.. Ajonwa cannot kill him.. At least not until her mission is complete and am quite sure she hasn’t even started”
“Thank you and may the gods be with you..”
“Isee”…
